Location is right over the bridge outside Charleston in Mt. Pleasant; situated close to Patriot's point and Sullivan's island. Comfortable, everything was cleaned, everything worked.

This was our second time here and we were not impressed. The location is great but there are plenty of other hotels to stay at right across the street. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how an uncomfortable bed can possibly ruin a vacation. Luckily it didn't for us but everyone else please be aware of this problem at this hotel. The room was clean enough, but since it is considered an extended stay hotel, housekeeping only comes every three days. Staff was nice and friendly and they had an overflow parking lot across the street in case of no parking, which seemed to be a regular occurrence.

Okay Stay. Staff was great including the house keeping. Just the room was in need of some serious maintenance, stained chairs, stained couch, badly patched holes in the walls. A electrical outlet was literally hanging out of the wall (That's got to to be some kind of fire code violation. ) There's a cluster of 5 or so other hotels right next to each other. I would spend a little more for somewhere else. The location is great.

Nice place just over the bridge from Charleston in Mount Pleasant. Comfy suites. Really nice people.

Nice big room with a kitchen. The staff is more than Accommodating. Always my first choice when in the area.

Hotel is clean and modern in the lobby / public areas but the rooms are a little dated and cold feeling. Bed was pretty firm and the pull out sofa bed left a lot to be desired. No other complaints about the service or the room other than it looking dated.

Actually kinda nice. The rooms where clean. Fresh towels and the place didn't smell. The bfast was bunk it's "continental"

Price was reasonable and the location was convenient, but the rooms were small and poorly maintained. Floors in particular felt slippery and oily. We had enough people to necessitate the futon, which turned out to be old, thin, and extremely stained. Staff seemed understanding and helpful, but not much was done. I would recommend researching alternatives.

Stayed there January 2-3, originally was supposed to be January 2-4, but when we got there the lobby was not updated and smelled of cigarettes. Though this was a no smoking facility. We had booked a total of 3 rooms due to the number of people traveling. All rooms were very dirty and we did not want to touch anything or even put our bags down. We got in to our room and you could tell that the room had not been updated in a long time, decor was 60's/70's. It was late and when we went to bed, we noticed that there was dried blood on one of the pillows. In one of the rooms, one of the guests needed to use the pull-out couch which was paper thin and had no sheets or pillows.

The hotel was fair at best. The rooms are nice enough, but they are not very clean. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere that the vacuum couldn't really easily. Not one, but all 3 lamp shades where jammed against the wall and tilted at the same 30 degree angle and they were dirty and stained. The carpet was very worn and obviously very dirty. We we arrived there was no shower curtain and on the coldest night of the year our heat didn't work. One the plus side the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, our shower curtain was replaced, the heat was repaired (apparently it ticked off the maintenance person because when we got back to the room that evening the heat was turned ALL the way up and it was at least 90 degrees in the room). Overall it could be a very nice hotel, but unfortunately it isn't. I do not recommend this hotel it barely acceptable and could be so nice with just a little extra effort.

Good location, but would not stay there again. Carpet in room was dirty and AC unit spit out mold and mildew balls onto couch and floor when we turned the unit to heat. Parking lot was dimly lit. Kitchen unit was nice to have, but bed was crammed into a small alcove and hard to get in and out of bed.

Great price for a good room near everything here. One of the best Wi-Fi connections I've had at any hotel. They do need to invest in some water heater repairs/upgrades. Not enjoying the lukewarm showers. Not a big fan of the channel lineup either. The free breakfast is less than most. No smoking rooms either. :o/

This was one of the worst experiences. The staff was friendly enough, but our room smelled of blunts and black n milds. The water never got warm in the shower, and the Wi-Fi never did start working. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and the floors were sticky everywhere. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out. The fact that this is in Mt Pleasant has to be the only reason it’s still open.

We evacuated from hurricane Irma with our our animals and all. Kate was awesome! They normally don't allow pets but she allowed us and the price was good. Staff was nice and we felt comfortable being there!

First set of rooms smelled awful, sorta like bleach. They upgraded us to new rooms, but one room reeked of mold and the other had dead cockroaches in it. Nice rooms besides smells though. Decent breakfast options such as bagels, toast, oatmeal, and juices. Was super excited they had skim milk as well as 2%!

It was a nice and peaceful stay. Got some great rest here. Best night sleep since Ive been home.

This hotel is convenient to Charleston without the high prices. The staff is friendly for the most part. I would agree with a previous reviewer that cleanliness & maintenance could be improved. We have been here many times over the years, and there is always some maintenance problem. But the best part of this hotel is the turtles, and alligators out back! Just don't get too close to the gators.

Mainstay Suites too me by surprise. It is a smaller hotel, but what they lack in size, they make up for with amenities. I am staying for a work conference, and was not looking forward to microwave meals for the week (tight budget). But the room included a full sized refrigerator, a dish washer, two burner stove, full size bed, and pull out couch, which has allowed us to cook in the room and fit comfortably, at a reasonable price. The continental breakfast included fruit, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt with fixings, as well as really nice coffee and fruit juices. Conveniently located (5 minute drive to get downtown) and includes a pool. The only real downside I have had has been room size (cozy) and that the rooms are only cleaned every three days. Great otherwise!

The staff is very friendly. Hotel itself is outdated. The rooms are very small and squished together. The bath tub is missing parts of the actual floor which makes it look like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. But everything does appear to be clean. The complimentary breakfast was almost empty by 8:45 with no one restocking and it is supposed to be through 9:30. The pool is VERY small. Maybe you can fit 4 people without touching each other. However, for the price the room is clean, service is friendly and essentialsare provided.

Wow. I would advise everyone to stay away from this place. My first room they gave me the toilet was disgusting. Hair and urine all over ther place. The gave me another room and what I saw was like out of a murder scene. The tub was so nasty I almost vomited. I packed up everything and told the front desk I was checking out. I didn't even care if I got a refund and I paid over $500 for my stay. Smelled dirty, carpet dirty, I didn't even want to take off my shoes. I'll never book a main stay again.

Hotel and rooms were fairly clean. A little on the small side. I was impressed with the continental breakfast. Not mind blowing, but a very impressive hotel on the budget friendly side.

Building is a little dated but the room was clean. Saw some staff actively cleaning the elevator when I left in the morning. Located by a bunch of other hotels, not too far of a drive to Patriot's Point and downtown Charleston.

Great hotel and location for the price. Pool was broke during our stay and there was no cold water. (That's right, hot water worked, cold did not).

I travel a good bit for business… that being said, I love a place I can go and have not only a excellent room, and a excellent location, but also excellent service. Kait always does a great job for the multiple rooms I get per week. She handles my reservations like a champ. When I walk in… she has my paperwork ready to sign, no wait (on multiple rooms). (like a champ). Then when your ready to go Tommy has kept the hoodlums run off all night, and has a nice clean breakfast area for me to enjoy. As I walk out the door. He has all my paperwork ready. (No wait) (on multiple rooms). By far the most professional place ive ever travled and stayed for business. Great job!

Great place and HUGE room for the price.

Positives: friendly staff, quiet rooms, adequate breakfast, lovely outdoor area to enjoy breakfast, and small swamp pond with alligator and turtles, decent prices for slim budget, great overall location Negatives: mold in bathroom, broken toilet, leaking tub faucet (turned in to front desk on first day, didn't fix), room had bad order, dirty dishes, items from previous guest were still in drawers, TV reception was poor, beds were very hard, pillows are extremely small (bring your own). Overall: You get what you pay for. This is suitable if you are not planning to spend time in your room.

Love the area and rooms are nice and clean.

The whole hallway of non smoking rooms smelled like smoke and so did the inside of our suite. No one cleaned our rooms the whole time we stayed. I over heard a employee refer to me and my family as " Those People" are never satisfied. It was a horrible experience and I will not stay there again.

These rooms have everything you could need including a small kitchen area (even including silverware, dishes, a dishwasher, full size refrigerator and small stove) which isn't even an up charge like most places. The room is very clean with plenty of space and even a pull out couch as well as a queen sized bed so perfect for families. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and accommodating, I believe her name was Alicia. Obviously this place isn't a castle but for the price, quality and location its a perfect 5 stars from me!

Our room was dirty, had dead bugs on the floor and live ones crawling around, pee on the toilet and the carpets had obviously not been vacuumed in a couple of days. The put us in a new room that was much cleaner but still had spills down the walls and boogers on the bathroom wall. The carpets in both rooms was ratty and the fridge had goo on the handle. Carpets and furniture in both rooms were stained. Not worth the money.

Great hotel for the price. Had a family of 5 — 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 kids — and rented a 2 bedroom suite. The room was clean and nice. It had a kitchen with a sink, full size fridge, and stove, dishes to use, and tv's in each room. There were 2 full baths, 1 walk-in. The staff was helpful and friendly and the complementary breakfast was nice. About a 7 min. Drive to the beach and about the same time to get back into downtown Charleston. I plan to go back and use this hotel and would recommend to others.

The management is wonderful, if you encounter a problem during your stay they are very accommodating and will definitely make it right. We stay here yearly on vacation and my girls enjoy the turtle pond out back. Very relaxing environment and nice warm breakfast every morning.
