Nice room! Clean too! The staff is very nice as well! Located a mile and a half from Mohegan Sun Casino & various places to eat nearby. Hubby & I stayed this past weekend there for the Nascar Race weekend @Pocono. Only 23 miles from race track as well! My only issue was the "Shuttle" service "communication", coming back from the Casino. Our driver was nice & friendly though. Great Hotel. Would reccomend it! Thanks! :)

Very busy hotel. You have to go through another businesses parking lot to get to the hotel, which is weird. Thought Google Maps was messing with us at first… The hotel is built into the side of the mountain which is cool. You can see the rock face from the pool and jacuzzi.

The staff is phenomenal and will go out of their way to help you. I stayed 4 nights. The hotel room, inc. The bed, was very comfortable w/ micro. And fridge, and quiet even though the hotel was full. Great shower pressure. Nice bkfast buffet. Property is showing a bit of wear in places. Would definitely stay here again do to the front desk's willingness to help you with any special requests and/or needs.

Hotel was clean but the pool was green & the beds were super high & hard to get into. Great view of the Wyoming Valley!

It was nice, the views are good, but my room as well as my familys was blocked. Other then that the food was good and the people there were very nice and kind to us.

People we're very nice and very helpful when we had my 11 month with us.

Good experience, Clean and friendly staff, the room has refrigerator and microwave. Complementary hot breakfast. The only thing that was lacking was electric outlets by desk and bed, other then that I would recommend this hotel. Oh and complementary cookies!

Staff was friendly and efficient, rooms clean, plenty of towels, thermostat worked, and all lights and room electronics worked. Reason for 4 Stars — the STAFF!

Very nice and clean, there was an event around the area which this hotel was a part of. Looked very good. The best part about it for me was the coffee!

Nice hotel. Front desk — Kim was very accommodating. Gave us a handicapped room and special rate when she heard we were there for a hospital appt. The next day. We were trying to get ahead of a snow storm. Free coffee, tea and cookies were nice.

Stayed at the hotel on a Sunday night. Room was small but clean. Reasonable price, easy parking, free breakfast included and food was OK.

The hotel was nice and clean, staffs were pleasant. However, the heat/ac unit was extremely loud and was running most of the night.

Well, the fire alarm going off at 5 in the morning sucked but they stay was wonderful otherwise.

Staff was great. Hotel needs a makeover. Shower ran all night, wallpaper in bathroom was peeling. New tv's but cable sucked.

This was one of the worse HI's that I've stayed at. I got a bad feel as soon as we approached the front desk for check-in and were approached by an unfriendly clerk. The room did not have a good feel to it and the loud AC kept my wife awake all night. Our experience at the breakfast buffet was not much better. Very slow delivery of eggs and some of the other foods. I won't be back.

The place was comfortable and clean. The shower had discolored caulk. It looked like mold. I suggest to request a room that is not adjacent to the elevator, as it was quiet noisy. We stayed in room 419.

The price was the best we could find in the whole area for hotels with pools and hot tubs. There were a few problems though. The pool and hot tub were dirty. As well as the price of the rooms, the hotel charged /put a hold of $30 through my bank without letting me know they were going to do this which overdrew my account. For the breakfast, there was no milk for cereal, coffee, or anything. They had run out the day before and nobody thought to get any at the store while they waited for more to arrive. However, the management made things right and took 50% off our bill even after I told them it was not necessary. Good integrity.

Starting to get a little worn around the edges. Very small rooms. One bathroom had mold around the shower. On the other hand, great staff, good location, inexpensive, and they've always had rooms for me.

Room was nice and clean, odd smell in the room. Updated hotel and secluded from main town. Has a restaurant inside with a back patio. Somewhat difficult to find off the highway.

The rooms are small. It wasn't horrible but I've been in cleaner hotels. The evening front desk staff was rude and inconsiderate. The morning staff was great. They misread our reservations and argued with me for quite a while and then when it was resolved they attempted to say that is what was said in the beginning and they hadn't made a mistake. They were also very rude to other guests and acted like we should know everything about the hotel (such as how long the shuttle ran and how large it was, although their brochures said ask the front desk for that information. ) It was also our wedding so we had many guests that booked the hotel rooms. They refused to upgrade us to a king suite (although we were willing to pay with points) months in advance saying they were out of king rooms even though it showed online you could still book them. We worked out a late checkout with the morning staff and everything was great but the evening staff acted as if we were crazy and asking for the world. I will never stay at this hotel again. We frequently stay at ihg and have never been treated this badly.

The hotel was located in a good place, not too difficult to find. Service was prompt and the room was comfortable. Complementary breakfast offered more than most. The bed was comfortable. Hot shower water might take a few minutes to warm up but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Clean room. KeyCards stopped working after 1 day though I was there for a 2 night stay. Was told cards reset after 1 night.

Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast, too few power outlets in rooms (all hidden behind the beds), and slow internet.

Older hotel, dated room. No USB port on desk to charge phone, no outlet near bed or night stand. Poor.

We met on the breakfast area for a company meeting. The area was neat and clean. It was a very good experience.

Holiday Inn's are generally quite good. This one is fine. Nothing big to take issue about. Just little things that aren't perfect, like a loud bathroom fan. I would never hesitate oro complain about staying here.

This is a wonderful hotel with a wonderful staff. I can't say enough good. It is right down the road from Mohegan sun which is nice if you like casinos; if not it is central to anything else!

We were in town working and was going to stay a month they gave us a good rate over the phone, when we checked in the room was small and the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on hardwood floor. They tried several different rooms for us but all the beds were the same. We had to find somewhere else to stay we couldn't keep sleeping on that bed. When we went to check out we noticed they were charging us a different rate than what was said over the phone so we waited to talk to the manager John who was very rude to us. He acted like we caused a problem and didn't really care why we weren't going to stay. Will not stay at that hotel again.

Had a less than perfect experience to start; however, the manager was informed of the problem and did everything in his power to make it right. Very glad to see that the Holiday Inn Wilkes Barre takes their customers comfort seriously. Will definitely consider staying again.

The hotel staff go above and beyond the call to meet your needs. Would highly recommend!
