It was a short night, but a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The only negative was the maid knocked on my door even though I had the do not disturb sign hanging.

Never been to a Crown Plaza before. Pulled in and was handing the man $20 to park and he asks "How long are you staying? " I told him 1 day and he informed me that I could park for free along the street right outside the hotel. He gave me directions to a good street for parking and even guided me out as I pulled out into traffic. He was awesome. Then I went to check in only to find out I booked the wrong date. Chris at the front desk was great. He was super professional, and not only did he find me a room on the spot for even cheaper than what I had booked, but he also went out of his way to make sure I wasn't charged a cancellation fee for the booking I had incorrectly made. He was fantastic to work with. To top it off, the room was beautiful and spotless. I will be coming back here for sure thanks to Chris and the kind gentleman working the parking.

Rooms are quite small with a faint smell and the walls are pretty thin (you can hear activities from other rooms). Other than that it was a fine stay and they were bed bug free on the registry. A thorough inspection before getting comfortable confirmed that there were no bed bugs.

Stayed overnight for the State Academic League competition. Rooms were comfortable and view was pleasent. The pool was nice and the valet service was extremely helpful.

Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and modern though the bathroom was a little small. Be aware that parking is valet, but cars come quickly.

Hotel was nice. It is in a busy part of Harrisburg with a lot of one way streets. Bed was nice. There is no off street parking. Be mindful when booking that they only have valet parking here for $20. This was an extra cost not originally figured into my stay.

This hotel is extremely comfortable. What I really noticed were the showers in the rooms, they were especially nice. The location of the hotel is excellent if you have plans in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area. The hotel staff was helpful and professional. A great night's stay.

The rooms are very small. The ceiling height of the room and the interior (having five big lamps) made it feel uncomfortable and claustrophobic … I have been to hotels with smaller rooms in downtowns but this was exceptionally uncomfortable. The staff at reception is not trained to be polite. They hung up the phone on me while talking about giving me 30 minutes extra to pack up and check out. I had to eventually rush to check out in 10 minutes. I understand the policy to not extend but it is imperative for the hospitality business to be polite about it or give me options. The cleanliness of the hotel building was not up to the mark.

Very nice hotel. Full buffet for breakfast with made to order omelettes. New beds. Recommend the Salmon for dinner. Truly excellent!

Awesome experience. Very friendly staff. Replaced our refrigerator that wasn't working in two minutes. Free coffee in the morning. We lived it.

The worst stay of my life… Called and reserved a king room with jacuzzi… i was stuck in a room with a shower stall, the refrigerator did not work (ruined all our food) … coffee cups were not clean… no toilet paper… the key card did not work (had to go to the front desk everytime I returned to get them to unlock the door…) … two worn out towels… no soap or shampoo… TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! the breakfast buffet was not fit for a dog… powdered eggs, sausage patties tasted like cardboard. When I complained the hostess told me to go a block down to the hilton to get an awesome buffet! I did… and it was great (and cheaper). Do not stay in this hole!

From the first moment we arrived we were greeted with the friendliest staff. Everything was great. Very clean I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely a great night spent at the hotel. Upgrades to the hotel are extremely noticeable. Staff were exceptional specifically JJ the manager. Made us all feel extremely welcomed as a result will be back.

Great Location, Modern Rooms, Superb Service! This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Harrisburg, centrally located and walking distances to restaurants and stores. The rooms are new and clean. They also have a nice restaurant onsite, if you don't feel like stepping out. The valet-parking service was super convenient. When I had billing questions, the Guest Manager was super helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel! I came in late and tired and cranky. The staff were so kind and got me set quickly. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Perfect night after a long day of travel. Thank you, Crowne Plaza!

Location is great. In the middle of the city! Walkable to many restaurants. The room itself was ok. Negatives were a super tiny bathroom, no microwave and Maxwell House coffee. Positives were cleanliness, nicely heated pool, friendly staff and REALLY comfortable bed! Did not do room service but it was available. Parking is $20 and valet only. Across the street for overnight was $30

Room was great, clean, and spacious with no issues. The location was also great in terms of walking distance to local breweries, bars, and other restaurants. The bar left a bit to be desired in terms of size and variety of options, however the great bartender more than made up for it.

Great service, from the counter staff to the maids. Our room was super clean and the beds were very comfy. We will definitely stay here again.

Room was pretty small, but fine. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Our room was really clean. The people at the front desk were helpful and polite. I'd stay here again.

Staff seemed attentive but tired. Valet seemed sketchy — $20 per night. Free street parking after 7pm. Lots of people out front smoking. No fan in bathroom. Occasional train blowing its horn, but not too loud. The room doors all slammed shut. Ice machine was broken on my floor. Coffee pot had grinds in it. Wi-Fi was free but I didn't try connecting. Bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Shower head was typical low flow.

It was a lovely place, but the AC didn't work in our room. It was fixed after talking with the front desk, but otherwise the hotel was great. The valet parking wasn't at their station when I first arrived, but they were good every other time we needed them. I imagine if the AC and valet had been present at first it would have been a five star review. Check in and everything else was great. The bar and lounge was excellent as well.

Stayed at the hotel this week and would have given it 5 stars except I got stuck in the elevator and had to rescue myself. Thank goodness for all of the Die Hard movies!. I called for help but no one showed up… I was told to stay put and help would come… They didn't. I had to pry open the inner door. Then hit the outer door release and jump out since the elevator was between floors.

Room was clean. All employees were great. Had valet parking on site. Over all very nice.

Was fairly satisfied with my stay here although they try to make it look way fancier than, what it really is. Overall though my room was pretty nice and had a good bit of amenities which I was pretty happy about considering I was there for a week for work. The room was very clean and organized when I got there and didn't end up finding and hidden "gems" anywhere either which again I was happy about. The indoor heated pool was a nice place to go relax after I got back to the hotel. I don't know if it's because it was winter or what, but the pool was usually empty, so it was very peaceful and quiet. They had a pretty nice restaurant/bar which was pretty pricey for the portions and quality, but offered a great buffet in the morning! Overall good experience and would probably stay again next time I need a hotel in Harrisburg.

Got in late and let me say,. It's a dump. The room was made up, but upon quick inspection there was a thick layer of dust Iver the door frames, short and curly hair under the covers, and a plethora of hairs on the carpet. I asked for a resolution and they offered to let cleaning staff know. Doors don't have dampners on them so they slam loudly when they close, and noise isolation from the hallway and neighbors are minimal. Food is decent for continental breakfast style.

When we first got there our room wasn't clean and didn't have a working sink. As soon as we told the front desk they apologized profusely and sent someone up to help us. They upgraded us to a nicer (and much cleaner) room and apologized for the oversight. The room was great and the staff is very friendly, nice place apart from the initial room problems.

I would like to point out that I had concerns about this hotel… due to the negitive reviews. One bad stay should never constitute a poor review… My experience was fantastic. We were greeted with friendly helpful staff. We had been working with an over height vehicle. They had us park it at the front door. Yes they charge for parking. Most hotels within the city do. This hotel is under renovation hence 1 elevator is down. Our room was brand new and beautiful. A little small again common when staying in the city. Grabbed dinner at the hotel… sweet potatoes gnocchi was amazing and filling… felt like pot pie on a cold winter night… total comfort food. Great selection of bourbon. They have ginger beer and was the first time I v found cairpina on the drink menu since I v left Florida. Bartender Max was down to earth and accommodating. Checked out… answered all my questions and gave me 2 bottles of water for the road. PS there are many savory places in the area to dine at upscale and dives. Relax and enjoy!

Great location in the middle of the city, stayed there for Hershey Park which was about a twenty minute drive. Was within walking distance of a bunch of bars and restaurants. The beds in the room were comfortable so overall had a great time.

I've stayed here 3 years in a row for the Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership conference. This past year, a valet inexperienced with driving a manual transmission crashed my brand new car in the parking garage. Although I was initially upset, I was more than happy and satisfied with the way management handled the situation. Not only were the repairs paid for without issue, the Crowne Plaza paid for a fresh coat of wax on the vehicle (a procedure which had been done, but needed to be re-done to protect the freshly applied paint after the crash). I also received a hearty amount of rewards points — enough for 2 free nights at a holiday-inn tier hotel. As for service and comfort, this hotel doesn't fall short. The rooms and amenities are always clean and luxurious. The staff is attentive and helpful. Special shoutout to Jaymin, the GM, and Rob, the bartender.

I was very disappointed in this hotel stay at Crown Plaza hotel. The front desk was extremely slow. The rooms were very basic and outdated. I've stayed in holiday inn hotels that were nicer than this. There was rust on the bathroom shower curtain rod. The tub did not drain properly while showering. Curtains and decor were extremely outdated. I expected this hotel to give me some sort of "wow" factor, but it did not. I seriously do not understand why this hotel is considered to be one of the best in downtown Harrisburg. You could find a motel 6 that's nicer and cleaner than this DUMP. Shame on you crown plaza.

Location was ok. Beds to small. Furniture in room needs to be replaced. Furniture chipped and looks dirty. Coffee maker on bathroom stand with glass mugs not convenient. Fridge in room is a additional $25.00 and they bring it up to your room. Stay at the Hilton next door.

Not impressed at all! Small beds, (who the hell has full size beds in their rooms anymore? ), tiny bathroom, view of crappy HVAC on roof. And that's only the first impression. This place is definitly NOT worth the money.

Worst hotel I've stayed at. It probably wouldn't be so bad if they had adult supervision for the high schoolers running around the hotel. Last night (4am) one of the kids decided to pull the fire alarm my kids were terrified. They don't want to refund me. Next time stay at the Hilton its right next door.

The conference room in which the event was held was spacious and suitable for the event. However, the dance floor was somewhat small although that may not have been the Hotel's. Parking is valet and easily accessible, however the valet parking attendant was outspoken and rude towards me.

Horrible rooms. Horrible service. Construction all day into the night. Bathtub was insanely dirty, chipped & old. Mold in bathroom sink. Outlets don't work & housekeeping is slow. And I'm pretty sure the one housekeeper is a known working girl. Stay at the Days Inn. They are amazing & cheaper.

Our team stayed at this property for the Great American Outdoor Show and everyone of the staff members, especially Kevin Welsh, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Kevin was able to handle our constant, last minute changes with the utmost professionalism and grace. I know we were a pain but he always made us feel like it was no problem at all and took care of it. The food in the restaurant was fantastic (Honey Chipotle Wings were amazing! ) and the free shuttle to the venue was extremely handy. Thanks to all the staff at this great hotel!

A great location in Downtown Harrisburg. I checked in late and left early the next morning, so no time to check out any amenities, but the room as nicely acutured, clean. The bed was plush and comfortable.

The evening staff were amazing. Great service and attitude. I highly recommend this hotel. Clean, great service, helpful, and I would book again and recommend to others. Thank you!

This is definitely one of the greatest hotels I've ever been. They're customer service and hospitality is simply the best. I traveled from MA to PA with my family overnight, the check in time was 4pm, I called one day ahead and the manager Toni was very kind to welcome me and my family into the room at 8:30am at no additional cost. Also I needed a room to get some work done and they opened up an office with internet, computer, printer, office supplies a real office to accommodate me while working. I definitely recommend this hotel and look forward for further stay.
