Not terrible, but could definitely have been better. Pro: The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room we reserved was definitely the one in the picture, and the bed is very comfy. Free Wi-Fi and cable are a plus, but more-or-less standard anymore. Con: The decor is in desperate need of an update; seems like it hasn't been changed for at least a decade. There were actually some places in the bathroom floor where the caulk was crumbling and coming out from between the tiles, and the side decorative wall of our jacuzzi was starting to fall out. Conclusion: not awful, especially on a budget, but could desperately use an update/maintenance.

It was a very nice place to stay, and the rooms were clean and the bathroom was very large.

The staff go above and beyond to assure you that your stay woll b e comfortable. They are knowledgeable with the near by atttactions. They also have discounted KennyWood tickets available for all guest. Each room has a microwave, refrigerator, daily turn down service, free Wi-Fi. They also offer a free continental brrakfast. Grrat place for the money.

Very clean close to rte 51 kamart McDonald's. Sheets. Owner was nice.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are exactly that, rooms. They are outdated. The exterior of the place needs some love, the stairs show signs of rust. With a little money and work, this could be a nice place to stay. It isn't worth the $70 charge for the room. Again, the staff was friendly, I have no complaints about anyone. But the product needs work.

Stayed here with my girlfriend. Poor customer service! and in the whirlpool tub the water doesn't get hot. When I mentioned it to the front desk at check out he couldn't give me a reason on why.

Best customer service! Small and older location but for the value you'd be missing out if you don't stay here. 5-Star treatment and service! I will stay here again in the future when visiting family in the area. Free coffee and breakfast. Clean, Clean, Clean… and the best waffles you can make! Neo kept a package I had delivered before my stay secure until my arrival. Thank you for a pleasant and safe stay for me and my family!

My wife wasn't happy I reserved a room here. But after we checked in, she was ok. The room was recently updated, the bathroom was clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was your typical free breakfast, and it was fine. Price was right. They also have a hospital rate, being so close to Jefferson Hospital. My only complaint was driving from the office to the other side of the hotel requires you to cross two lanes of traffic and make a u turn.

My family and I stayed at this location for an extended period of time. I have to say that I have stayed at 5 star hotels that did not provide the service we received here. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. We were made to feel right at home during our stay. Even the other guests were friendly and spoke very highly of the staff and service provided. I have already decided if I have to stay or recommend lodging to any one in the future this Econo Lodge will be 1st on my list. Even outside vendors who came in to work on the rooms were outgoing and friendly. I can not speak highly enough of the front desk staff, the housekeeping staff or the service we received.

Smoke-free, no odors, spacious, relatively clean. Roach-free, bathroom slightly unfinished. Breakfast could have been better.

Stayed here several times for business. Good value for area and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable.

Nasty hotel rooms are nasty and they charged me and my family full price on a room for a couple of hours because we broke down. If you can avoid staying there then avoid this place.

Affordable, friendly, clean, convenient. We have stayed her a few times during our visits to the burgh.

If I could give this place a negative number of stars I would. The room itself was not too bad but at 8am as I was getting into the shower a contract worker let himself into my room. I was a solitary female guest and a random man was allowed to let himself into my room without even knocking at 8 in the morning. The staff seemed to think this was fine. It is far from fine. Women travelling alone, don't stay here they give your room key to contract decorators with no regard for your safety or privacy.

It was as I expected, an older kind of crunchy motel. For what we paid, it was ok.

Stayed at an Econo Lodge in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. As we weren't going to be spending a lot of time in the hotel room itself, we just needed the essentials — which is what we got. Towels were clean, soap provided, clean sheets and access to ice. Though it was kept clean, you could tell these rooms have been very used; bathroom door was uneven and hard to close, scuff marks on the walls, the comforter looked very old and faded, few stains on the wall. If I were a hotel snob this would have bothered me more, but we were just concerned about having a working bathroom and a warm bed. If you need an affordable place to rest your head after a long night out, this is great for you. Not so great if you're concerned about aesthetics.

It appeared clean and smelled like gardenias when we walked in but I must admit, I felt super uncomfortable and almost drove the 2 plus hours home with my daughter. This was not exactly how it appeared in pictures. We were last minute bookers for a hotel because of a dance competition so this was the only hotel within 25 minutes. I called a day before hand to make sure we were good to go with the reservations and the woman who answered the phone spoke English but when I asked if everything was ok she never did really say yes. I was confused but at least she found my name. We checked in and left for dinner and shopping. We booked a non smoking room. We were given room 101 there were people smoking outside right next to us and directly above us. We got into our room and discovered the door doesn't really have the security we deserve. My 13 year old daughter was exhausted and went to shower. She came right back out nearly gagging saying someone waw smoking in our bathroom. I didn't image how bad it was until I walked in myself. It scared me honestly because it was seriously like someone was JUST in our room. The lack of sound proofing was unbelievable. I did not sleep a wink. I could hear the people above us walking around so clearly that it sounded as if someone was opening back door to our room and would walk right in. It smelled like smoke so badly that my throat hurt by the morning. I woke up my daughter early so that we could get out ASAP.

This is a terrible place to stay. When we first arrived we requested a non-smoking room, the lady at the front desk saw fit to inform us that we could not smoke in a non-smoking room. Really? I had no idea! The night before checkout we called the front desk and requested a late checkout (at noon) and were told that was completely fine. The following morning we were rudely awoken by one of the hotel workers COMING INTO OUR ROOM. Not knocking. He actually opened our door and came into the room, only to see that we were still in bed and left with no explanation or anything. Around 11:15 we received a call from the front desk informing us that checkout time was at 11. I told the woman on the phone that we had called down the night before and requested a late checkout, and she sounded entirely confused by all of the words I said, but then she said that was ok and we could check out at noon. LESS THAN 5 MINUTES LATER, the guy who came into our room earlier in the morning came back and told us that we needed to check out. Excuse me? I literally just spoke to the woman downstairs about checking out at noon, which shouldn't have even happened because we requested the late checkout the night before. Econo Lodge, you have failed at making your guests feel comforted or even safe. This is my worst hotel experience ever.

I stayed there fr a business trip, the hotel was VERY clean. It was a bit noise from rt 51 being about 50ft away! The big problem was that I need to go online at night and finish my work the wireless inter NEVER worked yo might get a very weak signal then it go a way after several complaints they gave a cable to plug in the wall. It worked the first night but never again. The "lobby" always smelled like curry and don't waste your time on the "Free continental breakfast luckily there is a Sleetz right down the street.
