The staff is very nice, and for the price… it works. The room was mostly clean, the major exception being the wall next to the bed. Not sure why it was very dirty, maybe people walking against it when getting up ot of bed? Breakfast was basic, bananas and English muffins. They put out 6 bagels (first come), after that " no bagels for you:• (. They did have butter and jam (small packets) and coffee. They have a bottled water dispenser that unfortunately serves warm water. It works for the price and it is what I expected for a low price budget motel. The pool is very small… but the pictures show that, so no surprise there. The pizza shop next door was a pleasant surprise. Good food and good beer. There is a grocery store nextdoor which is convenient, and coffee shops near by.

The timbers is a great affordable stay in Ashland. Not too far off the beaten path to the main part of town. Close to a great market and walking distance to my favorite breakfast place, Morning Glory cafe! Bonus!

Location is good as it is just a brief drive to the Shakespeare festival. Only complaint is that there is a squeaky faucet, but that's pretty minor.

This place was awful. Not family friendly. When my wife asked about a crib or pack n’ play for our baby the guy at the counter was rude and gave excuses of why they didn’t offer one. Not only that the room was stained filled and dirty with missing bulbs in light fixtures. For a non smoking room it even smelled like smoke.

The location was very convenient, and they allow dogs. Plus, the pizza shop next door will deliver right to your room for free! Yes, the breakfast was very basic, but the orange juice was real, and the bananas organic. The bed was a bit saggy, and the shower wasn't spotless. But the price was right, and the location very convenient. I would stay there again.

Great space for a great price. 3 queen beds, dorm fridge, microwave, TV, 4 piece bathroom. Only complaints were about little things: 2/5 outlets (both servicing first bed) required room light to be on; the TV remote only worked on the cable box, not the TV itself, so couldn't mute or adjust volume from bed; & the shower situation was bizarre. When checking in, I got in-depth instructions on how to turn the room heater on. Didn't end up needing it, but it was nice to be told about unique setups. However nothing was said about the shower. The tubs do not have traditional stoppers to switch from faucet to showerhead: you have to pull down on the mouth of the faucet before the water is turned on for the water to be redirected. We tried everything we could think of, short of pulling the faucet out of the wall, but all while the water was running. (The correct steps were told us upon checkout, so we could not confirm. ) There was nothing said, there were no instructions, and when you're naked, ready to take a shower after a long day, at 1am, you don't really want to try to call for assistance — especially if it requires staff coming to the room! (We also can not remember ever seeing a phone in the room. ) Needless to say, we didn't get showers. The response/explanation we were given the next morning when checking out was not apologetic. He claimed that the pipes were such that these are the only faucets that work (really?

Clean room, friendly people, good price. Good place to stay for a night. Great for SOU parents.

There was a broken smoking pipe behind our entertainment center. Our room didn't have a comforter which I thought was strange but not a huge deal. But then they charged our card an extra $150 for the comforter they never even put in our room. We had to drive back to get the money because they couldnt transfer it back to. Our account. (even though they admitted it was completely thier mistake) so in short, they emptied our account for a blanket we didn't even get to use. They need new maids. My husband and I had planned on staying there for all of our anniversaries but with the service being so sub par I doubt we'll be going back. And a note saying "truly sorry" doesn't make up for all of that hassle around a night that was supposed to be a vacation.

The room was really nice, the people at the front desk started the heater in the room so the room would be warm. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

They gave me only one key and I got locked out of the room after stepping out at midnight. There was nobody on staff and I was locked out overnight. The motel person in the morning called me an idiot for locking myself out. This was appauling because I did everything possible. There simply wasn't anybody around at night to assist guests. He said I should had walked to a store or business to call them, but everything was closed at night and I don't know this town. How could I memorize their number and walk all over town looking for a business to beg them to use their phone when my phone was locked in my room? It was 30 degrees and I froze outside and everything in town was closed. I was offended by the motel person calling me an idiot and he later started cussing when I suggested that someone wasn't doing there job, because no one was there at night. I didn't know that he was the person that was supposed to be there at night. The motel staff person started cussing and used profanity (f this and f that), which was not only unprofessional but the worst experience ever. He was extremely defensive when I asserted that someone should be there at night to help guests.

Great little motel for the price. The rooms have always been extremely clean and the bathrooms are the nicest in any motel I've stayed at.

The service at Timbers Motel was great. The woman at the desk was attentive and friendly. Because it was cold, they actually turned on the heater a while before we were supposed to check in so that the room would be warm. The free breakfast isn't much, but it's very close to some nice little diners. The price is reasonable, and the rooms better than expected for the price.

Very clean for the money, and I dig the slight twin peaks feel. Walls and floors are thin though, you can hear everyone. But the price is right. Decent bar across the way too.

Within their price range, Timbers is a best value. Small motel with a clean comfortable room with king bed, updated bathroom. Nice tree-lined neighborhood. Eat at The Great American Pizza Company next door.

Location was convenient, cost was OK, not extravagant, Wifi reception seemed good, breakfast minimal.

All basic necessities. Very reasonable price. We paid about $107 plus tax which made it about $120 for two twin beds and a kitchen. The lady at the front desk who greeted us was very nice. Pool is a bit small. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. The only things they had was orange juice, bagels, coffee, and bananas.

I would love to give a higher rating to this small business, but I can't! They need to get their act together. We took 2 rooms for 3 nights. It was clean and nicely stocked when we opened the door, I just assumed the AC would work… my mistake. On day two, when we returned from a matinee to prepare for the night out, one of the rooms had not been made up. We tried to call the office and report it, but the phone wouldn't work. We went to the office and was told they didn't make up rooms during the week?!? When we explained that our other room had been made up the reason then became that they must have missed it. Another unacceptable excuse. At no time was there even the hint of an apology, let alone some sort of compensation. The breakfast consisted of English Muffins and bananas and OJ or coffee. That was it. The location is great for the price, they just have some problems to work out, that starts with the office staff.

The hotel was perfectly located but a few blocks from the Oregon Shakespeare festival where we were going to see some plays. Check in went smoothly and the room was orderly and well equipped with all the amenities of a modern hotel (microwave, TV, cable, fridge, coffee maker, Wi-Fi, etc). The walls were not as thick, it seemed, as other motels. However the environment was quite peaceful.

Nice location not far off the highway. We were just passing through Ashland on our way to Portland from California and Timbers Hotel totally met our needs for comfort and cleanliness. Neighborhood was good near a pizza place and an upscale grocery store and as two women traveling together we felt safe. The staff was friendly and the price was definitely reasonable. I have 4 instead of 5 stars because some things needed maintenance; the AC wouldn't turn on (we just opened a window) and the closest ice machine also did not function (we easily found another one). Overall, for the price, this place was great and I would stay there again.

Great service over the phone and at check in. Very clean room and accommodating staff. Had issues with the internet which was annoying.

Great for a short stay, cheap and clean. The rooms even have a small kitchenette if you wanted to use it.

The lady at the desk was nice and got us checked in quickly. They were honest by telling us that breakfast was small on the phone but we didn't mind. When we asked her some good places to eat she told us a few, especially the pizza place right next to it, has amazing pizza. Was a nice quiet sleep without being disturbed and within walking distance to stores and restaurants. I'm glad I stopped at this hotel because I love Ashland it's a nice quiet town with everything you need so you don't need to go 15 min up north to Medford.

The Timbers Motel is not a five star motel by any means, but it was by far a great stay. The room was cozy without feeling small, and it felt like I was sleeping at home. The Wi-Fi was fast but a little spotty at times, which is fine. I would definitely recommend it of you are in town for the night.

Not fancy, but a clean, reasonably nice and very inexpensive older motel. Close to a supermarket and Starbucks for breakfast or snacks, and a short drive to downtown Ashland. We were very pleasantly surprised by this place (the more particular members of my family commented on it favorably and usually motels of this vintage get panned by them. ) There was enough parking for everyone and you culd actually get in and out the spaces — not always the case for older motels. There is an outdoor, clean but pretty small.

This is an older modest motel located 1.8 miles from the theaters. We found it clean and comfortable with good beds, showers, and Wi-Fi. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was coffee, orange juice, and bagels (pretty meager). Everything worked in the room, and surprisingly it was very quiet considering the proximity to Hwy. 99. Starbucks, Market of Choice, a Chinese restaurant, and a pizza place within 200 feet of the motel. Great value for the price. We would stay here again.

Not bad for the price. Parking lot is a little cramped, the room was nice and clean though, so who can complain.

Stayed here twice in a month while going to and from Portland, and both times I was really happy with this motel. Great location — some awesome little places to eat around. Very clean and comfortable room, and we were treated well and given a good price.

Clean and reasonable for visiting SOU and Ashland. Nice people. Renovated room is nice but not fancy.
