6 out of 5 stars! We had no expectations coming here, based on the reviews. We just needed a place for the night before we caught our early morning flight the next day. We booked online then checked in with no problems. We requested a room on the ground floor and a crib — no problems. We had to return our rental car the same night that we checked in. The guy at the front desk just told us to let us know when he can pick us up, no other questions asked. We dropped off the rental and he picked us up promptly. The next morning at 4 am they took us to the airport. All the staff that we encountered were friendly, respectful and professional. I am very pleased. I only wish that I remembered their names because they deserve the mention. Everything went smoothly. The rooms were also clean. They are outdated in their décor, but who cares, I only care that it is clean and comfortable and that there is mutual respect between me and staff.

The staff were very nice. The rooms themselves are a bit small with a musky smell but clean. The free breakfast was about what you would expect with the usual waffle machine, bagels, cereal, milk, OJ, coffee etc. Smoking area out front. TV takes forever to change channels. The price was around $60 for one night stay in one queen bed. I just needed a quick cheap place to stay with my little one while waiting for family to come in at RDU airport. Microtel Inn was suitable for my needs at that time. Plus there is a store right next to it. You could literally throw a rock and hit it. About a 2 minute drive to the airport, if that. I believe they also offer a shuttle to the airport. I spent some time speaking with the shuttle driver in passing. Very nice guy.

Okay so the room was okay at best but that's not the reason for the one star. I put the 1 star because of the lack of organization at this hotel, our group needed the shuttle to take us to the airport and when we arrived at the front desk there was no one to help us out. We waited for almost an hour and called the hotel's multiple numbers and no help, not even from corporate. After the lack of help and no means of transportation we decided our only option was to walk the two treacherous miles on the interstate to the airport. This whole ordeal added an additional 40 minutes and almost made us miss our flight. I can say without a doubt I will never stay at this hotel again.

This was a nightmare. The room smelled like mold and was very musty. People were rude, room was not clean, could here people flushing toilets and sounded like a freight train was coming through. The shuttle was a half hour late and we had to pay over 80 bucks for this "lovely" experience" One whole wall had a "mirror" like covering so it was very uncomfortable. Made you feel like you were in an interrogation room. Beds were very uncomfortable. If I could have, I would have given it zero stars.

This is a Microtel that offers park and fly which allows you to leave your car there for the duration of your trip, I went to Jamaica 4 12 days they offer transportation to and from the airport and upon my arrival I had already reserved a room for the night and to travel back to New Bern the next morning. It's not the greatest of hotels but it'll suffice for a couple of nights stay in the convenience of knowing where your vehicle is and the cost not increasing over a daily fee.

If I could give zero stars I would. The entire hallway smells like mold. Horribly. Our room is extremely skeevy. Our bed feels like we are straight up sleeping on coils. Dont believe any of the staged photos the hotel put up. Not even worth $10 to stay here.

Convenient to RDU and you can park and ride shuttle. Hotel is old and run down. Beds are horrible. Looks like they try to keep it pretty clean. Front desk guy was helpful. Sketchy activity in parking lot. May need security guard. Will not ever stay again… Eww!

I know they have "Park at you own risk" signs posted. However, they could have the courtousy to notify you if your car is damaged. Do not park your car here if you are going out of town. They don't bother to notify you if your vehicle gets damaged. So my car sat for a week locked up tight with 3-4 inches of water in it for over a week. The damages are still being added up 3 weeks later.

Very nice hotel. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. Very good value.

If you are looking for a night near RDU this is it, if you want a breakfast and good night's sleep forget about it. Have stayed here multiple times with work normally for more than two nights at a time during the week. Planes in the early morning and late night. Has a strange smell. Muffins and danishes are breakfast, singles have no microwave or fridge. Beds are ok, pillows are a shot in the dark depending on the room. Close to several restaurants.

Horrible experience. Bad attitude from the lady at the front desk. A lot of our rooms had problems and they seemed to not care and never did anything. Said they didn't have any more towels.

Good place to stay by the airport. The elevator was messing up while we were there. I didn't care much because I was on the second floor and I could use the walk.

Room & bathroom was clean! Room was small but comfy. Room had a window seat which was nice to sit and watch it snow. Staff was lacking their southern charm.

Everything is micro. Huh. Smaller room, but it was nice and had everything I needed. Clean, safe, decent bathroom, decent price. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was small but not as insubstantial as a red roof, econolodge, or some other places.

Service was okay, little more than subpar. The MOTEL smelled musty, dusty, and smoky. Yhe room was tiny and also smelled bad, there were cigarette burns in window seat and hair in the sheets. For the price, though, we didn't expect much more.

Service was great, very friendly. Room size is BIG! Comfortable (soft) beds. My husband, myself, & my teenage son we're all able to move around the room, with out getting in each others way. I wish the fan in the bathroom worked, and the drain in the tub was slow. The shower head stream was so intense, it kind of hurt. But I really liked the 'window seat' worked great to keep suitcases out of the way and off the floor. Lots of lightning combination options. Which was important to us. My son did homework on the desk with a bright light shining on the desk. I was able to use the lighting over the 'window seat' to work on packing/unpacking. While my husband was able to turn off the over head lights to go to sleep. Gas & convenience store next door. Very close to the Raleigh Durham airport. We Would stay again.

1st room I was given smelled of smoke, went back to counter to request different room. Got new room that had a person already in it, yes I walked in on them. Got 3rd room. Huge mirror over head of bed, no lamps so you have to use over head light to read then get back up to turn off. Concrete is softer than bed.

Clean, friendly, comfortable, no micro-fridge Front desk staff were friendly, one ran up to check out my room while the other checked me in. That was an awesome gesture. The room is clean (aside from a few stains in the carpet, which aren't a big deal) and well put together. Bedding looks new. Everything works. My room key worked the first time. They even asked if I would needed information about the shuttle, which I didn't but bonus points for the effort. Only complaint: would be nice to have a micro-fridge. Overall, everything looks well maintained. Not bad for a 1 star budget friendly hotel.

Hotel is fine rooms are small but clean. For the price it's fantastic The night desk guy got me a blanket an extra pillow and was super friendly. Sometimes the reviews are incorrect just cause they expect to be staying at the Ritz. This hotel is clean, quiet, and I have had no issues with it whatsoever.

I really enjoyed my 2 week stay at the Microtel. Friendly staff, cozy rooms and great location.

Decent size rooms however the extra place to sleep (the futon looking section at the window) the mattress is all stained up. For this to apart of Wyndham hotels and suites I thought this would be a nice room but I would have been better off at a Motel 6! I am not impressed.

Its a great place to grab a nights sleep then fly out next day. Very friendly staff both the evening and morning shifts. CLEAN comfortable and priced nicely. Its not a luxury hotel. I didnt need or want luxury. It is near the airport so yes you hear the planes but its not bad. Nice plantings out front (im a plant guy)

Wouldn't stay here unless absolutely necessary. The whole place smelled like a combo of stale farts & mildew. No iron or ironing board in the room and room felt super cramped. No breakfast either. Better off spending an extra $30/ night to get a decent room.

This honestly was not even worth the $80.00 I paid for this motel room. Don't let the pictures fool you. I should have know when I called to say we would have a late check in, the person who answered the phone was rude. Upon our arrival it smelled musty and a small hit of marijuana was in the lobby and hallway. The room was even more unacceptable. The sheets, comforter, pillows, towels and the AIR were musty, damp and smelled of mildew. The air conditioner was off which did not help the problem. The bathroom was awful — the vent fan did not work, causing the dampness to ruin all the toilet paper. The shower head was so powerful it hurt when taking a shower. To top it all off there was a "black ice" car air freshener hanging on the sprinkler head, which is highly illegal. The only reason I didn't demand my money back, is due to our late arrival, we needed a place to shower and sleep before finishing our road trip. I'm very displeased and will not be booking with this chain ever again.

Not to bad. I did the park, sleep, and fly pkg. Somewhat concerned about leaving my car there for a week. Sign in parking lot said it's prone to flooding. But turned out fine. After flight arrival picked up bag and called hotel. They came within 15mins. That was okay for me. No complaints.

Nice clean rooms, nice staff, reasonable price drinks. And even a great nights sleep!

I was extremely disappointed, there was bed bugs, we woke up with red spots all over and itching, there was mold and Rust in the shower, the carpet was sticky, there was a roaches on the wall, and another small one by the door, the A/C kept turning on and off. After driving for 9 hours the last thing we want to do is put up with this. We will Never stay here.

It was a nice enough room. The mirrors above the beds across the whole wall were a bit creepy though. The beds were really comfortable but they only provided 2 pillows for a written sized bed. My son thought it was awesome that he could sleep in the window because there was a window seat there. There was plenty of room in the closets and other drawers. The bathtub decided to not drain week, and it was noisy, but hot! The planes were really close tho!

We were staying in this hotel with a friend that was visiting us so that he could catch his early early flight, vs us driving him at midnight (we live a few hours away). When we got off the elevator to our floor it reeked of cigarettes and even a weed stench so badly that it took my breath away. Ugh. When we got into the room it smelled a bit better thank goodness. The carpets were stained, the bed was so slanted when we laid down it sat like this / and it had hairs all in it, the tub had dirt in the bottom. Just absolutely disgusting. I'm a flip flops kinda gal but as soon as I got in I immediately put socks on because I was too grossed out to walk bare foot. When we first arrived my friend asked for a wake up call at 3am, his shuttle was leaving at 4am. Well he never got his wake up call, luckily his mother called and woke him on his cell. My husband, small child and I went back to sleep after he left. 6:30am rolls around and someone starts loudly banging on our door, when we ignored it they proceed to try and bust in anyway, which didn't work out so well (my husband locked the lever). We assume it was the housekeeping coming very very early but it's kind of hard to tell when they neglected to announce themselves, smh. All of this not to mention we had a "do not disturb" sign hanging on our door knob. Seriously do yourself a favor and spend the extra 20-30 bucks and get somewhere decent to stay. You'll be glad you did!

It was too small and the window seat had burn marks on it from an iron, there was no microwave or little refrigerator in the room, and in the morning, the maids in the hallway were so loud it woke us up… did not like it at all… will not stay there again.

Clean with average breakfast options. Hotel is showing age though with scrapes, cuts in upholstery, etc. Overall good value.

Not the best place to stay, the staff was very noisy and we had to complain about the room next door to us 3 times all night long. The room was clean and well equipped but have very noisy neighbors to one side and the laundry door to the other side was terrible. I would not stay at this hotel again. They made no compensation for our bad nights stay.

Smelled absolutely horrible inside. I almost choked when I got inside from the cigarette smoke and a very strong odor of pot. I didn't even stay there. I left. Take your business elsewhere.

It was REALLY bad and I will NEVER go there again! Most of the staff is rude! I came here because it's the only smoking hotel in the area but it wasn't worth it at all! I arrived about 4 and when I got in the room it was very hot there wasn't any AC on (the lobby and hallway where also hot too) when I commented on how it was I was told that was actually cool for them! I should have left then! I had made the reservation online and booked a smoking room but when I was checking in they said that I hadn't booked smoking and that the rate would be higher for smoking! When I got in my room I sat on the bed and as soon as I did the sheets started popping off the bed! As soon as I fixed one side the other side would come undone! The sheets seemed like they where for a smaller need! The handle on the shower was very hard to turn and the towels are the size of bath mats! The house keepers where up early banging around and slamming doors, but that didn't really matter because I was awake early because the sun shinning threw the HOLES in the curtain woke me up before the house keepers even started! When I was leaving I told the lady that I wad very unhappy with the stay and her response was "it doesn't matter we're about to be a non smoking hotel anyway" PLEASE don't waste your money here its simply not worth it!

I stayed here recently and it is like all microtels it is a good place to stay and this one particularly has very fast free Wi-Fi. It is right off the highway and surrounded by a few restaurants within walking distance and of course close to the airport. There are room safes in the closet of the room which is something which is important to me because of the amount of traveling that I do.
