Have stayed here twice over the years and always enjoyed the stay. Close to everything so can walk everywhere. Direct access to the beach so very convenient. Site manager very friendly and helpful.

First time for us staying here. Managers are lovely, clean room, big bed. Clean pool & access to beach. Only a short walk to town. We would definitely stay again. We come to Byron often so this will be our new stay over. Thanks guys.

Our stay at Wollongbar Motel went above and beyond what we expected. Staying there in May 2018 allowed us to explore the beach and nearby town with ease. Great stay and service from the crew at Reception when looking for shuttles back to airport and advice as to what to do and see when we arrived.

Great reception, with swimming pool, BBQ, everything you need for the beach: towels, bucket, parasol, Bodyboard… at 3min walk from the center. The furniture is a bit old which gives a retro stamp to the condo. So not done for what likes the bling bling.

Lack of Privacy. Likened to caravan park atmosphere. Access to Beach Via illegal tresspass over train tracks.

Willingness Motel is located just a 5 minute walk to Byron Bay center. And beaches. The motel staff are unreal to deal with. Friendly caring and go above a beyond for their customers. Will be staying at the motel again.

Nice looking motel and friendly staff at reception. Bathroom seemed a little dirty and the room in general was a little unclean. Easy access to Byron Bay beach and shopping area. Opposite the local police station and 3-4 min walk to food outlets.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment for one night. Such large and comfortable rooms, had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

I read these reviews. It's a motel. A place where you may stop over for a night or 3. Maybe even a week or two.

Our car was graffiti in their car park and when speaking to male and female staff member about this they just said we get a lot of back packers around this area as it happens a bit. Didn't even have any sympathy towards us at all! We didn't want anything besides a sorry this happened to you! But all we got was excuses. If there is damage to the car I think we will be in contact as the damage occurred in your property. Their security isn't very good and not very good privacy. Byron bay is amazing it self but will never be back to this hotel and will never recommend it!

Hotel manager bludgeoning our door prior to checkout made my girlfriend and myself feel unsafe. Very aggressive behaviour, will never stay again. Recommend manager seek aggression management training.

My experience with this motel is pretty sad – they charged me twice by mistake (two rooms instead of one), refused to admit the mistake. I had to fight my way through Agoda and Booking to get my money back. Hotel never apologised which makes me question their managements moral integrity. While this is not directly related to accommodation quality, management style matters (especially in tourism industry) and I hope some users find this review helpful.

The furnishing is fairly basic bit everything is in good working order and is clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is off a good size for a dip and there's a BBQ adjacent for evening social gatherings with the family. The best bit is that there's a shortcut to the beach through the back.

We are thoroughly enjoying our stay here with a balcony view. B I g room, everything you need, microwave, crockery, toaster, aircon, fan a n d close to town. Easy walking distance. Pool is fantastic, owners are delightful. Clean friendly. Only downfall we have room 23 and Wi-Fi is non existent!

Highly recommended, beautiful place to stay late check in no problems when you ring.

From the Internet booking to the after hours check in the staff were always helpfull and courteous the room was clean and tidy had a good nights sleep will definitely stay here again.

Everything is quite satisfied, except the slow Wi-Fi speed.

Stayed two nights in a down stairs room, the room was musty and dark. The smell seemed to permeate everything! Needs updating, good location walking distance to town and beach right out the back.

Nice clean room. Beach and center of town only a five minute walk away. Only niggle is lack of easy to access power point.

Good, simple, clean. A bit pricey for a motel. 1st floor only has stair access. Very spacious, if a little bare decor. The only available plug for charging your electronics is two metres above the night table. The sliding door and lock did not seem very safe, but then Byron Bay does not feel like there is crime to worry about. The private path directly to the beach is great of course, far away from the main beach crowds on the one hand, and safety patrols on the other. But the sea seems relatively calm here. Location is great, close to town centre, far enough away from street to be quiet.

This accommodation is clean, comfortable and spacious and perfect location for the beach, the town and exploring the area. Staff/owner were very friendly and our stay in Byron Bay was memorable for all the right reasons — everyone should visit Byron Bay (I am a brit) and every visitor to Byron Bay should consider Wollongbar if you do not want to pay a fortune but do want decent accommodation. I do not recognise the pool from the pictures but everything else looks just perfect. Can not wait to go back.
