The room was clean and smelled great. The beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed the 24 hour indoor pool. Good location and easy to get in and out of.

The outside pool and free breakfast is across the road, no table in room to eat on, beds so uncomfortable and decided to leave early but they refused to give me a refund, after paying top price for this place. I will never stay here again. Not to mention noise and screaming kids and a knock on the door around midnight. No never again.

Ust want to let everyone DO NOT waste your money on this hell hole! This staff is rude, inconsiderate, and VERY unprofessional, especially Danielle Addair, she should reconsider and re evaluate her life and career choice the way she treats customers! the hotel is disgusting and the rooms are not well taken care of, the reviews and pictures online are HIGHLY DECEIVING! Felt like I needed to bathe in bleach after being in this room, Couldn’t even get a refund after my fiancé was told we could get one! After working half a day, then driving down all the way down here, spending MY HARD EARNED MONEY for a mini vacation for MY FAMILY, being pissed off is an understatement, thankfully I got a room and a wonderful discount at the Holiday Inn down the road, very clean and friendly staff!

They have BED BUGS! My husband and I stayed here for my birthday and when we were headed back home I saw 3 bites in a row on my arm. I was bit 7 times! My husband was bit 5 times! Called and spoke with the manager and was told insurance would reach out and that's been over a WEEK ago! They really know how to take care of guests right? DO NOT STAY HERE!

Worst hotel ever! Disgusting, outdated, and a rude staff. I am beyond disappointed I wasted money on this place and will NEVER be back. Then just when I think it can’t get any worse they offer ROTTEN fruit for breakfast and that’s it. No pastries, no cereal, nothing. With rooms that look like this no wonder the fruit is rotten. Warning the rooms look NOTHING like the pictures!

These rooms are well worth the money, very clean, jacuzzi tub, fire place, bed all clean and nice.

My experience at the Quality Inn Near the Island Pigeon Forge was absolutely horrific. I will NEVER stay here again or recommend anyone else does. Despite being told That staff would call us and inform us when our room is ready, we had to call and check to find out it was ready.
The front desk staff were rude, and unfriendly.
They also did not bother to mention when we first tried to check in that breakfast was no longer being served despite it being shown on their website. The AC in our room rattles horribly and the fireplace in our room is broken and will not completely turn off which is concerning. The room altogether did not look as the picture showed when we booked the hotel room and does not meet standards of what we expected. And it definitely was not worth the price. We have stayed at multiple other hotels that were cheaper which had a softer bed bigger TV and friendlier staff.

When this hotel was the Shular Inn it was amazing… now that it’s Quality Inn not so much. My family vacations to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg almost every year and almost every year we stay here. Ever since it became Quality Inn it has went downhill. Carpets in room are nasty and if you do not wear shoes or socks/ have small children not a good idea. Last visit carpets were nasty and sink wouldn’t turn off. This visit when we arrived to check in and got our key cards mine didn’t work and my parents door knob was broken. We returned to check in desk and receptionist fixed my key card and said “ oh you have to turn that door knob up and wiggle it”. Seemed like they knew about the issue for a while. Sad to say we will probably look elsewhere for a hotel next visit.

Stayed there over the weekend. I was impressed with how clean the room was! Beds were comfortable, pool area was clean, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. Only complaint I have was the room seemed humid, which made the carpet feel damp. Otherwise it was a great stay, and we will definitely be back!

Rude Staff @ Checkin, Asked Why I needed Handicap Room, 2nd day room service failed to make bed cause our personal pillows and blankets were on the bed… had to call to get then to come straighten the bed later when we returned to the room. That night there was a bad storm knocking the power out and tree branches were falling on cars along with hail. The Fire Alarm went off for 1hr 45 mins and staff was rude & could not shut it off. Told us if we didn't like it we could leave! Finally the fire dept came out to reset the Alarm… after I called them to come help the staff. Just glad I did not pay for the room cause I would of asked for a refund. There's a reason I stay @ IHG Hotels… you get what you pay for!. Day 3 i'm pretty sure none of us ordered a 5am wake up fire alarm. I'm however greatful for the 5 hours of sleep I got… I can only Imagine how the Older people and people with small children are feeling right about now! I give this Inn a Negative 5 ☆ review for their horrible front desk staff… and for the heart attack jolting wake up call this morning! I Would Never Stay Here Again!

When we checked in there was what appeared to be rat poop on the bed and behind the garbage can. When we called the front desk they were extremely rude about it. House keeping came up and said it was dirt from out clothes. When asked to refund so we can switch hotels they refused. When you went down for breakfast in the morning the staff would squeeze there way in Ann’s make food for themselves making the people staying there have to wait even longer. Very disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for the week of the 4th, loved the fact it had a decent inside and outside pool, kid pool, inside hot tub, and large outside hot tub, the outside pool was open until 10 and the inside was open 24hrs! My children loved this. The room smelled so fresh and clean the entire stay, room service was amazing, and for it to be right there on the strip, it was very quiet and peaceful! Highly recommend and hopefully finding vacancy for the end of the month! Lol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my family have been staying here for 25 years. I called today because when trying to book a room with 4 adults and a 2 year old it was saying I had to have 2 rooms. When I called the lady was very rude and said we dont care how old the child is he has a heartbeat 5 people can not stay in one room. This blows my mind and is very rude to familys.

The room was really nice and super clean. The breakfast was phenomenal! The staff was so nice and helpful and very accommodating. This will be my hanging out place whenever I visit pigeon forge. Can’t wait to come back here.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was located across from the Island in Pigeon Forge so we were able to walk to various attractions and it is a short commute from many of the other attractions. Our room was very clean and we chose one with a jacuzzi tub they also have some with fireplaces. We had a mini fridge and small microwave which came in handy. The bathroom was a bit tight but our room very spacious over all. The breakfast was very good and included sausage and scrambled eggs. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub as well. The price was decent as well. We would definitely recommend this one.

We had a great time everyone was friendly and the breakfast was awesome. The hotel is close to shop and restaurants. The pool was great and the hotel was every clean. Will recommend to everyone and will be back.

Nice room. Two pools, one inside that is open all night and another outside that closes at ten. Free breakfast if you can deal with standing in line for a while. Great location right across the strip from The Island. Good place to stay for the price.

Very happy with this stay! Breakfast was hot choices plenty, room was clean, loved the nook with coffee pot, fridge n micro! And added bonus, hot tub in our room! We will be back. (fyi: comfy king bed and cold ac)

Great place to stay. I will be staying here again. The rooms were clean, and comfortable. They have adjoining rooms which was very convenient, as I traveled with family. Indoor pool and hot tub is open 24 hrs. The outside pool closes at 10 pm. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. The staff was very responsive to our needs.

My parents and I have been staying at the Schular Inn (now Choice) for ten years. Always satisfied. We made a reservation for June, a matter came up and we had to change that reservation for July. Very simple. I received my credit card statement in the mail and there is a charge for $145.67 from Choice Hotel. I immediately call them and ask why my card was charged. They had no record of my credit card being charged, they said they would look into and call me back. They never called me backSo I called them back and once again they had no idea. I was furious. The lady, I assume was the manager was abrupt and rude. I told her after ten years I would never stay at the hotel again, she replied “that’s your Choice “. She could care less. Terrible customer service. I currently disputing the charge with my bank.

It was nice having a smoking room for my family members. When we arrived only one of our rooms was ready. By 4:45 the front desk did call us and gave us the adjoining room. This we appreciated. The only complaint I have was the in room coffee was awful. Coffee in lobby and breakfast was good.

This is one of the best hotels, that are not only quality, but affordable for all. The place is nice! The distance to attractions is all walking distance on the island as well. The staff is also excellent. This is a must stay.

If I could leave a zero star I would. Drove from orlando fl to Pigeon Forge arrived at 11:00 pm to find out our room was already booked. The hotel took the money from the bank at 4pm when I called to reserve the room. No apology no nothing just a well were not sure how this happened we will return your money as soon as possible. With three small children it was a nightmare attempting to find another room at 1130 at night. I live in Ohio so driving home was not an option. Do not waste your time if your going to be checking in late! Worst experence yet. Still waiting for my money to be returned!

Rooms are budget in that they have low watt bulbs and nothing special, but price is not budget. However this is the best in area with smoking rooms. They also need to paint the rooms a much brighter color and add more lighting especially in the area of the closet, coffee maker as it is not lit up at all.

Our room was clean. It was fairly quite. It was a good location. Breakfast was decent. I wished they has yogurt though. We stayed in the 2nd building. I didn't like that the doors opened to the outside. I would probably stay there again.

What a joke! indoor pool is closed, reason unknown, told outdoor pool would be open today. Yeah, went out at 3pm and dead bolt lock on gate. Went to front desk and try did get the look off, but pool is dirty and ice cold… hot tub is hot but not on so just a pool of hot water with no bubbles. Room small. Just horrible!

As a family we always look for a place with an indoor pool and make sure before we book our room that it's working. We arrived on Sunday it was too cold for the outdoor pool but the indoor was open. Upon entering the pool area the smell of chemicals was so strong it burned the nostrils. The water in the pool, kids pool, and the hot tub was so green, cloudy, and stinky it made us gag. It was like soup! My only other complaint was the mattress was horrible. It felt like sleeping on a busted sleeper sofa. It was a complete shame because the room was really modern and clean, the employees were all very nice and the breakfast was good.

We always have a great stay. Joyce is so sweet. She is very accommodating. That's why we have been staying at Shular for many years when we're in the area. The rooms are clean and have been updated. Great location. Walking distance to the Island and many other attractions.

Rooms are very spacious lots if room. Rooms are clean. I wasn't thrilled on the placement of their indoor pool we had to walk on the other side of the road to get to it and that's not ideal with children especially when it's in the 50s outside.

The staff was nice but the hotel was very dirty! Our beds had been made but the sheets were dirty with other ppls body hair! Our tub stopped up so they got us a different room. We get to the other room and again the beds were dirty! We had to get clean sheets and change our beds! The carpet was dirty! This hotel has great potential! Sadly whomever is suppose to clean doesn’t and it will destroy this hotels reputation! I won’t be back nor will I recommend it to anyone!

Place was clean and gave us a very good price on a room. Loved that the pool and hot tub where both open 24 hrs. Also being a smoker it was nice to find somewhere that still has rooms set aside for smoking. Need do not disturb signs for the doors. We came back and our room was cleaned up. Had no idea they were going to come in. Nothing was missing and was done in a profesional manor however with a do not disturb sign I could let you know weather or not I want you to come in while im gone.

We went to the Pigeon Forge, TN location and we loved it. This is our second time coming to this locations. The breakfast is amazing. I love the indoor pool with Jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms are standard but suitable. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone.

It is located in the center of Pigeon Forge right across from the Island. So, there are many places in walking distance from the inn. Staffs are nice and friendly and indoor swimming pool seems to be a great accommodation for many families.

My husband I stayed there a couple of weeks ago. On the up side it was clean… but I asked for king sized bed and got 2 queen instead. Which was a bummer… called front desk what I was told. The man who made reservation gave me a good deal on my room… and she said ill call u right back… no call back was made Very disappointed on that.

Rooms: 125 — newly renovated, very clean, calm and great size. Bathroom was also very clean. We stayed for 2 nights and we have no complain at all. Breakfast: Good continental breakfast included and very friendly and helpful staff. We strongly recommend.

I stayed a second time at Shular inn since I had such a good experience the first time. The second time was just as nice! This is definitely the hotel I will be staying at when I visit Pigeon Forge. Everyone was friendly, it was clean, another great breakfast! I had an issue with the toiled handle not flushing, they sent someone up quickly to take care of it. Really like this hotel a lot. Would recommend to others!

Was a little skeptical about making reservations here because of some of the negative reviews but I am here to tell you it was definitely above and beyond what I expected! Not sure where these people stayed that wrote the negative reviews but it surely wasn't Shular Inn in Pigeon Forge TN. And yes I am a VERY clean and particular person… YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! The hotel rooms are modern in design and offer a spacious, comfortable room for a great price. The continental breakfast has a variety of hot foods available for you to choose from. Staff has all been very friendly. There was an issue with the air conditioning with our first room and staff was fast to respond and relocate us to a new room. Our hotel experience was great overall.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels down here and this is by far the best one. The room is updated, very clean and the beds are super comfortable. They have breakfast every morning and it's by far the best hotel breakfast thus far. I highly recommend it.

Parking was not that good as there seemed to be more rooms than parking spaces. They were all tightly packed as well not meant for trucks or other large vehicles! Ended up having to park in a separate parking lot that was "additional parking" and walked back to the hotel. The whole time I have been I'm this city I have found it easier to walk around than to take a vehicle anywhere. Way too crowded and you will get plenty of exercise just remember to bring a water bottle or two.

It's terrible the floors are very nasty you can't walk across the floor without your feet getting black! The pillows where wore out, and beds where terrible, the springs from the bed pop would pop. The lighting was terrible! The location is great that's the only thing our family found good about it was just the location. Don't waste your money! I just live a few hours away and have stayed at some really clean hotels in the area this is not one of them.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible. I was in a rush to leave at check out due to personal reasons and forgot a very expensive pair of shoes. I called every day and no one could help me or give me an answer on if my shoes were turned in. They told me they would call me if anything came up and when I called they were very rude to me. I informed them that I would never stay at their hotel and the man I spoke to said ok and hung up on me. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Yes it is at a convenience with everything being close by. But the staff was terrible and made it very miserable.

The bathrooms are a little small and the breakfast wasnt great, but honestly this was a great value. I was suprised. Super clean rooms and extremely comfortable beds. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is average. We were in the second building so had to walk across the road to the indoor pool. The rooms are nice but nothing above very clean. For the price, if anything else were open we would have picked it. Breakfast was also just ok. Hampton Inn or Ramada Inn's in this area are our usual spots and for the money, preferred.

Paid for delux Queen room they gave us a standard Queen. When my family and I first got there we thought it may have been a standard but surely the woman who checked us in and gave us our room cards knew that when she checked us in we had paid for a delux and we had been on the road for 4 hrs so we were just excited to be there. The room was small and nice but our feet would turn black after walking on the carpet. I've never stayed in a hotel room that the carpet turned our feet black I mean u could actually wash the black stuff off of your foot with a baby wipe. It wasn't till a couple days after we came home that we were looking at rooms on the schular inn website that we realized we had stayed in a standard Queen when we had paid for a delux so I called back right then to tell them of their mistake and see if I could get the 10 dollar difference a night back and I talked to a man named Ron who acted like he couldn't believe I was calling over what I was calling about and said to call back tomorrow and talk to the GM. I will update my review tomorrow after I talk to the GM. Update 3-14-16 I talked to the general manager today and she told me that because of the hotel being under renovations they didn't have any deluxe rooms available so the standards were lower? It didn't make any sense because when we made the reservations there was a option for standard and deluxe and the standard was cheaper and again we paid for the deluxe.

Let me start by saying I've never wrote a bad review in my life… But I'm so aggravated by this place it needs to be said. Stayed in the "new building" a few years ago and had a decent experience. Came back and this place was a thorn in my side the whole trip. CHECKING IN WAS A NIGHTMARE because my mom booked the room as a gift to us and the woman (the supervisor) was the rudest I've ever experienced. Plus someone was complaining about their room as I was checking in. I should have left then. the bed was horrible. It had a metal brace sticking out 6" from the side and covered by a blanket, found that with my shin. The side of the bed was held together with painters tape. The mattresses slept as well as you could imagine a bed rigged together would be. The WALLS WERE PAPER THIN and we were blessed to share a wall with the pool which we found out is open all night — which made for a very long night of listening to screaming (which ended well after midnight the first night. Then we were woke up at 8:00 by the family next door sitting in front of their room. Not their fault, We could hear every whisper like they were sitting with us. MAID SERVICE: There was toothpaste spit all over the mirror when we checked in which was never cleaned. The maid never got all the dirty rags and towels out of the room. The maid one morning was yelling on the phone in Spanish outside our room for 15 minutes at 9:30 this morning.

I loved the fact that they had indoor and out door pools and that the indoor was heated. I liked the location. What I didn't like was the outside looked run down. The carpets was nasty and damp. I hated the fact that I had to walk across a busy little back street to get to building A to go swimming. I hated the run down over all appearance. The pool was nice looking, but everything else not so much. The breakfast area was crowded. To many tables, too close to the food. The Internet made this motel look awesome. But I was very disappointed. We chose this motel because it said they had won several awards. So we wanted something a little nicer, and thought this must be it. … Cause the price was a little more as well. It was not a winner to me. Not enough Bang for the Buck: (

There was several things wrong here. Terrible Wi-Fi, static instead of movie channels, pool across the street from the room, and as far as the room goes the furniture was torn, stained, and broken. Hair that belonged to old guests EVERYWHERE, and you can find the coffee maker and microwave in the closet under the hanger for your clothes. 3 Star? I say — 3 instead. Yuck.

Should never came worst place ever don't trust pictures to much. And the lady at front office. Man. So mean. Pool was good. And thatd the only reason im giveing 1 star.

There are fraudulent charges on my credit card from Schuler Inn, I spoke with the manager and they refused to reimburse me for the charges not good business.

Staying here now and I am very disappointed. While the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the amenities are well below average and not as advertised. Both the indoor and out door pools are unclean and the outside jacuzzi wasn't even luke warm. The sauna was horrible and inside pool area nasty. Way over priced for what you get. Paid $130 a night. Would definitely not recommend.

We frequently stay in Pigeon Forge for a quick getaway from Johnson City, and after deciding to stay an extra night on July 19th, 2014 (after a long, hot day walking around Dollywood), we decided to look for somewhere with a 24 hour indoor pool. We called around and decided on Shular Inn, then made our way to the property. Check-in was quick and simple, the room was amazing for the price point. No complaints there. We quickly changed and headed to the pool, the whole reason why we stayed an extra night and decided to stay here. If it wasn't for an indoor, 24 hour pool, we would have went home. It was around 12:45 AM and the pool was quite busy, which was no surprise. What WAS a surprise though, was despite the numerous signs stating that flotation devices were not allowed in the pool or the area, was what looked to be two foam floats completely destroyed, strewn throughout the lounge area, and floating in the pool. I tried to get some pictures of how dirty the water was with these floats, but A: there was too many people to get a good picture of the debris, and B: I didn't want to be the creepy guy taking pictures of strangers and kids in the pool at 1 AM. On the way to the front desk to let them know about this, my girlfriend almost steps on a female undergarment pad that was VERY used (if you know what I mean) just laying on the floor. Upon letting the night manager know about this, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "There's nothing I can do".

This is the best place to stay while in Pigeon Forge. We made the mistake of staying at a cheaper Inn over Labor Day Weekend. The place was awful! We stopped by the Shular to see if maybe we could get a room for 1 night so our weekend wasn't a total bust. They were so nice and help full, really a Blessing for us. Everything was clean and inviting. Thank you so much! The girls at the front desk and all the cleaning crew, everyone had smiles and took the time to make you feel welcome.

The only downfall, but not a huge problem is that there wasn't enough parking for building A. You have to park at building B. Other then that the room was very clean. The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours a day. The breakfast room is in building B and its so work the 10 foot walk. I would stay here again. Also, this hotel was recommended by another hotel staff member.

We checked in walked all the way to the room and it was trashed the beds turned over looked like a tornado had came by. The man at the front desk didn't know why it was like that and gave us another room it was just very frustrating having to move the truck and bags again because the only room he had was on the other side of the hotel The pool and hot tub was over treated with chemicals and burned eyes faded swim wear. But they have the best breakfast out of any hotel I have ever stayed in.

My family and I travel a lot. We were very excited to get going on our trip and got to the hotel and the check in was fine. We got to our room and everything seemed in order but it was late and we crashed when we got to the room. The next morning we were woke up by someone kicking our door at 7am. Then my wife was getting ready for her day of shopping and fun and the closet door feel on top of her. She is a small girl so she took a hard hit. I called the front desk and told them what happened. Denise was very helpful and had told menage would have the manager call me. I did not receive a call from anyone. The morning of check out I filled out the rate card and called the front desk to let them know I did not receive a call from the manager and never once was asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I went in to check out and turn in my rate card and the front desk blew me off and the manager would not speak to me nor did anyone act like my wife getting knocked down on the floor by a closet door was a big deal. I never complain and this is the first complaint I have ever placed online about a hotel but the more I sit and think about my experience and how much the room was in the first place this upsets me very much. I did not ask the hotel for anything but to talk to a manager and I get treated like "lets hurry and get him out of here.

STAY HERE AND SAVE $$ THIS PLACE IS GREAT (PERIOD) I found this hotel/motel driving by. What a find, unless your the 5 star type, you WILL agree super clean, nice staff, great breakfast (don't forget your ticket) great pools, nice rooms, comfortable bed, very updated rooms.
