Third time this year. Beachy family resort. Affordable among beach motels with prices that have exploded. Summer rates include breakfast, there is also free yoga and or free kick boxing, free bikes with locks. A beautiful pool, 1 block to beach — family owned and run

Working with Leo as I plan our Yoga retreat at Daunts Albatross has been such a pleasant experience. The rooms are a great size and clean and the hotel is close to town and one block to the Beach. The location is awesome!

Just got home. Two rooms, 4 and 25. Rooms were clean, staff very friendly. Just a couple of reasons why I didn't give it a 5 star. One was that I didn't have a chain or any kind of security lock on my room, number 4. Though my dad and brother did on theirs. Maybe they are putting them on all doors eventually? The other is, though I loved the location of my room, the curtain in the bathroom was sheer, and didn't go to the bottom of the window. My room was on the first floor and looked out onto the pool deck. I went out to the pool and could look right into my bathroom, so I know anyone else could too if they wanted. Very easily fixable though. Other than that I love Daunts! Have stayed many times and hope to again!

My room has been redone a year ago and looks great. The staff is so awesome they just want you you to have a great time. Free breakfast in the morning and bbq grills in courtyard and pool area make this vacation so enjoyable. Add that the motel is right across from town and a 3 min walk to the beach. Stay here and enjoy all that Montauk has to offer.

Second stay at Daunt's. Love this place! Very warm and friendly staff. Great location, nice digs & amenities. Definitely will stay again. Pet friendly also.

It’s a nice place to be comforted. The pool is nice and cold, he ocean was just around the corner, it’s a nice cheap place to stay if you wanna save money.

We got a renovated room and it was clean and comfortable m. We chose to sleep with the windows open and it was great until the drunk kids next door came home and yelled for a few hours. Thin walls. This is a short walk to the beach and a few blocks from restaurants and stores.

Clean, fun, close to all. Even had a bbq for people who stay there to use in the center of the court.

Very well managed motel, clean and with good facilities. Someone has made an effort here.

Rooms are clean, the pool area is nicely kept, location is 1 block from the beach. It's on a relatively quiet road and has off street parking.

Very affordable. We had a door lock problem and informed them. They solved it promptly, within few minutes. Very happy with their service. I liked the optional Yoga program, I wish we had more time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. More than expected. Definitely recommend.

Clean, but very dated room. Missing shower knob so cold water. VHS didn't work. Nice staff, though.

Very nice motel, close to downtown spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The shower was steaming hot and there was plenty of towels, including face and make up. Super clean and there was a complimentary coffee and coffee mate in the room, just to get your day started. I will be taking a star because of the price and because if you are on the first floor you can hear walking upside, way past 10pm, when you are trying to sleep that is a big no no. Otherwise recommended.

Awesome little motel in Montauk, fantastic staff, friendly, helpful, and fun. It's an older place, and they are working on improvements, it will only get better!

Quaint family run motel a block from the beach. Very reasonable prices and attentive staff.

Rooms are tiny and dated. But it's Montauk prices were what you expect and the location (Center of town) was excellent.

Great location, close to the beach and many places to eat. BBQs, common area and pool on premises for family gatherings. Pleasant and helpful staff should you have any questions or need anything. Would definitely return!

This place is a real DUMP. I understand these motels get away with overcharging for rooms because of their proximity to the beach, but to pay $200 for this room was an insult. With all the money they make, I can't see why they can't renovate these rooms. Rip down that dreadful wood paneling that makes you feel like you are in a dungeon. Put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Put down some fresh carpeting. Come on, it was so skanky… I wouldn't walk on it at all (without shoes on). It was literally from 1975, completely disgusting. And get rid of that rank couch in the room, I wouldn't go near that either. Whenever we had to be in that room at all, it was a daunting task (pun intended). We couldn't leave fast enough in the morning, so gross. The mattress and pillows were horrible. The other side of the courtyard supposedly had rooms that were recently "renovated", but when we asked the guests that were staying in those rooms how they were, they laughed. Just a horrible place. Don't waste your money.

Had a wonderful one-night stay at the Albatross earlier this week. Checked into Room 5 and could not have been happier with both the accommodations and the staff. The room was cozy, clean, comfortable and loaded with conveniences that included mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, Cable TV and a powerful, quiet air conditioner. I didn't have a chance to take a dip in the pool but it looked spotlessly inviting. Loved the barbeque grills and rec bikes avail to motel guests. The only criticism I could make is a minor one: the bathroom was on the small side — and since it was immaculately clean this didn't bother me one bit. Thanks to Fifi, Lacey and the rest of the staff for a delightful experience. I got my money's worth, and then some!

Great place to stay! Had a wonderful weekend there off season. The staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Super close to the beach and right in the heart of town!

Really nice updates. Uber affordable. Really clean and the beds are very comfortable. Nice kitchen, balcony and updated appliances. Overall very refreshing. Your literally steps from the beach.

Recent 3 night stay (July 2015) And I must say, such a nice clean place! — front desk staff, extremely friendly, pleasant check in. — Room was clean, updated, and great air conditioner. — New Pool w/ beautiful brick work throughout pool area. (Nice craftsmanship) Yes, we WILL be back again!

I stayed a week for 350 in the beginning of april, decent room. I was there to work. So I was in my room mostly all days. Just a block from the beautiful beach. The owner was really helpful and nice. Nothing to complain about.
