Very basic. Clean, but could be better. Expensive for what it is.

Slightly overpriced motel, with very few common amenities, that bills itself as being on the beach but is not. Clean and comfortable and however, and right in heart of Montauk.

Right next to main street and less than a minute to an ocean easement. My girlfriend won't let me book anywhere else. During the high season we spend a lot of time at the resort property about a two minute drive from Sole Beach.

Great location and staff is very friendly. Really old-school Montauk feel.

Ok place to stay. Go location. Nice staff. Rooms are small and modest, but seem to have been recently redone. No much parking and a no frills feel but great proximity to the beach and town. Lots of like here but don’t think it’s wildly different from the places around it.

Summary: Stay here for the convenient location (walk to beach and town) but nothing else. Next time we will either pay the extra $100 and stay on the water across the street, or stay at a different hotel in town. Pros: Right across the street from the beach entrance (but not on the beach) and easy walking distance to downtown Montauk. Also easy walk to the Hampton Jitney bus stop. Cons: confusing advertising — do not confuse this with Sole East, which is the nicer sister resort about a mile away. There is no pool and no other amenities at Sole East Beach. Rooms are "okay" cleanliness. No screen on window. Not actually on beach. Horrible customer service — were not able to accommodate a one hour late checkout (noon instead of 11am). Additionally our neighbor locked himself out around 9pm, and Sole East did not have staff available to unlock his door. For close to $400 per night, I would expect more. Pet fee is expensive ($200). Poor Wi-Fi.

This hotel sucks. Management sucks. I would probably recommend this place to most of my enemies. Extremely overpriced with no benefits. Please please please find any other place to stay in Montauk and don't waste your money.

Visited their Beach hotel 3 years in a row. Two of those years were great, minor complaints. This past trip, we stood a little longer and regret every minute of it. First two nights were fine. Third night a group of college kids were in the room adjacent to us. Needless to say they would not be quiet. They would constantly bang, scream and lord knows what else they did in that room. The noise didn't end until roughly 3:30AM after some of the "guys" got into a fist fight. We called the hotel several times regarding the noise throughout the night. Nothing was done. When we checked out the following day, we complained to the front desk and we told, "We don't do anything about that. " We'll be staying at a different hotel from this point on.

I just returned from a stay at this hotel with my wife and two 10 month old twin daughters. In the middle of the night I felt a bulge in my ribs and grabbed an object and tossed it on the floor. Once I awoke I checked to see what it was it was a small container with marijuana inside of it. I brought this to the attention of the desk upon check out and they said they couldn’t do anything. They said a manager will be in touch. No phone call or email returned. After a few days I had to reach out multiple times to speak to someone about this. The management lives out of state and does not reply. I spoke to the manager on site that had to play middle man in communicating with the owners who would not call me. They decided they weren’t going to do anything about it and didn’t take it seriously. Not only does it show they don’t care about their customers but also that the rooms are not properly cleaned. What if my daughters got a hold of that and put it in their mouth? What then? I might also expect this at a local cheap motel but not when a room costs $400/ night. I would expect clean sheets and a management team that actually cares about people. I would advise to stay away from this place due to the dirtiness and terrible customer service. Keep your young children away from this place.

Excellent location. Seemingly newly renovated rooms. Comfortable beds, roomy. My only complaint was a lack of a front counter receptionist when we showed up on a Saturday afternoon. Also, some of the outlets in the room need replacing, had a rough time plugging in chargers because the outlets wouldn't hold them in proper.

Stayed out there for the St. Patrick's Day parade for the past 3 years. Have never had a problem. Average motel. Clean. Nice shower.

Great hotel room. Modern interior. Great restaurant in the back yard area. Has shuffle board and a pool.

Nothing like the website. The shabby motel-room is the price not worth.
