The staff were very helpful.

We booked this hotel because it was cheaper than the others next door but really regretted it. We got there at around 1am from our flight and only stayed about 3.5 hrs and we paid 140 US. When we were checking in, a girl was paying by the hour to use the room as it is clearly a sketchy motel. There were mirrors on the ceiling and wall and was very outdated. We felt uncomfortable showering barefoot. When we finally tried to sleep we discovered the foot of the bed was wet, like someone had left a wet towel on it for hours as it soaked the mattress too. The fridge or air conditioning was making noise all night as well as the room next door had a TV blaring all night. It's a non smoking hotel, but smelled like smoke. When we called for a shuttle he came but wouldn't bring us back to the airport at the time we needed. They had shuttles at 4, 430 and 530. But no 5am? Just save your moneys and stay at the airport!

The pillows were great, so the hotel gets a star for that. They had donuts for breakfast. They were stale, but even stale donuts are worth half a star. The free shuttle was the main reason we booked this place, so that gets a star as well. Blazing hot shower water gets another half star. Dang, we're up to three stars! Ehhhh, but then there's the fact it was $200 for a night in "non-smoking" place that smelled like stale cigarettes. Minus one star. I also saw a half dozen working girls waltz in and out of that place in the span of 20 minutes. That's fine, but minus one star for the one that almost fell walking down the stairs. Sorry, but almost tripping in your heels isn't as entertaining as actually tripping. Oh, but we didn't die, so the hotel gets a star just for that! Two stars overall.

If you want to be close to JFK for cheap this isn't a bad location. The free parking is nice as is the shuttle service. Just be aware of the fact that the shuttle only runs to/from Federal circle. Then you have to take the air train to the terminals. There are much nicer hotels in the area that can be had for around 150$ a night if you shop early.

The hotel needs to be upgraded and both wall paper and carpets need changing. Bathroom was small but not bad. Overall, it is in a great location, near to the airport. There was a free shuttle service taking guests to and from the airport where they can easily access the sky train to all gates. The breakfast was not too bad. The hotel is overpriced, there are better, cleaner hotels to stay at for the same price.

I haven't seen a shower this filthy in a hotel ever before. The walls were literally dripping brown and still had other people's hair on them. Not to mention one of the men running the front desk was very brusque and unfriendly (the girls were very nice though). The bathroom sink would not drain and the breakfast had a mediocre selection and the milk was left uncooled on the counter. The air conditioner was loud but worked well, and at least there were no bed bugs. Still, one of the least pleasant hotel experiences I've ever had.

Staff ia friendly, breakfast is good for traveller, who just stay one night.

Passable for one night in order to fly the next day early. The place is a bit creepy, the carpets worn out and there is no elevator. However the room was ok. Lots of noise, including arguments between "customers" at midnight.

The good point was the shuttle, free and punctual. Overall a bit expensive though.

I learned a valuable lesson — never book without reading Google reviews. Place was a dump. Smelled bad, staff was out of uniform and unfriendly, holes in the carpet, wallpaper wrinkled and peeling, 2 black guys were passed out on the sofa in the lounge. Bed was clean as was bathroom — but an appalling — dreary atmosphere. I would've left but it was already past midnight and we had an early flight. The morning Shuttle driver was friendly and nice. I'd bet no one stays two nights. Expensive for this type of Dump.

Honestly never been to a worse hotel. The room was humid, cold, dirty and smelled weird (we got a basement room). There were small bugs on the bathroom floor, dirty floor mats and super thin walls/ceiling. Not staying here again.

It is a bit old and tatty for the price it has. What I used for scale in flight and there was no option cheaper but it is old. This near airport and have transport and the breakfast is pretty full on pastries but fruit, only bananas.

FATAL! The shower was dirty, the bed linen stank and the staff's appearance poor. Is a hoax the pictures of advertising. All dirty.

Don't go with your kids! Sordid place… wet, smelly, blood-stained sheets… not to mention lunch that boils down to a bunch of cheap empty calories.

Good place for one night if you have to connect to an other flight the day after your arrival. We were well welcomed, the room was quite good and clean. Good breakfast to start a new day. Nothing to complain about, we knew the motel was next to the road, but it was quiet until early morning. Enough to "charge our batteries"

Forced to go there cause cancellation flights in the middle of the night. Old structure but clean enough. Provided with everything.

This place is not nice. The whole place smells like pot. The staff was rude, except for the shuttle driver he was very nice. The room is nasty! It smells, the carpet is disgusting, the sheets are stained. Unfortunately it's 2am and we are unable to get another room. Also I don't want to lose my money. They refused to give me my money back. Over all I am very dissatisfied and grossed out.

The bed was big and soft. Plenty of towels. Breakfast could use a few more selections. Iron and ironing board were in the room. Bathroom had a blow dry. Refrigerator was in the room. Did have a slight problem collecting refund when I cancelled a day of my stay a day in advance. Will use them again but won't pay for extra days in advance.

Hot and cold water were switched in my room, but shuttle service and breakfast were nice. They were cleaning my room when I was checking in at 11 pm… wonder why the cleaning wasn't done immediately after the previous guest.

The price can't be beat, the staff are polite. The rooms are not the best. It is a place to sleep but nothing else. The halls had a strong smell of Pot every time you walked through. It was just one day it was everyday all the time.

After being put through the Immigration grinder at JFK, and hustled by the pirate cabbies outside the airport, JFK Inn was actually kind of a relief. We had ordered the room months in advance, and we were swiftly checked inn and got to our room.
It was no better, or worse, then the cheap motels we slept in on our roadtrip through the Mid-West, but a bit pricey for the standard. Some funny looking fellows in the lobby, but it didn't bother us, we were just going to sleep there for one night anyway.
Oh, and this place is a one-nighter indeed, unless you work in construction and just need a place to sleep.
We didn't spend much time checking the furniture, we were just going to get some sleep before our connecting flight to Chicago, and the beds were firm enough to support my rather picky spine. So we both slept well untill about 5 o'cock in the morning, when some trucker decided to park his reefer outside our window. Sure enough, sleeping beside a running diesel engine is a pretty hard task. The breakfast was just like expected, motel standard, and it kept us alive untill we could get a decent meal at Chicago O'Hare. The shuttle service was another story, after some waiting, we got stacked and crammed into a van that eventually took us to JFK. But we got there on time. No complaints about the staff, they were friendly and helpfull, though I might consider brushing up my knowledge of Hindi if I'm ever to stay there again.

Pretty run down looking place, corridors smelling of weed. Service at the front desk was pretty uninterested. The room was rather cold and the AC really noisy. Maybe good for a one night stay in a pinch, but can't really recommend for a longer stay. Would highly recommend paying a bit more to stay somewhere else. Very expensive for the quality (or the lack of it).

Very disappointed, the entire facility needs total renovation. Cigarette burns on the carpet, tea bags left in the coffee maker, very poor standard of overall cleanliness, certainly not value for money & really shouldn't be on any referral list. The Best Little Marigold Hotel it is NOT!

I live in nyc, but I stayed here when my boyfriend’s plane got in extremely late. I wasn’t expecting a super fancy hotel, however the staff was very unresponsive. Our room was 120, which happened to be in the corner of the basement. At some point overnight, some piping dropped water into our room, and when I woke up, the carpeted floor was so saturated with water that when I stepped on it, water sloshed up. Additionally, the bathroom was unusable due to the water leakage. Our toilet paper was completely soaked. When we alerted the staff, they told us they would send someone downstairs. After waiting 15 minutes, we went upstairs ourselves and got the manager, who inspected the room. He apologized for the state of the room, however when I asked for a partial refund he refused to give it to me. I understand that water leaks, and sometimes these things happen. However, when they do, I don’t believe it’s unreasonable to expect a bit of money back. If you have any other choice, DON’T stay here. It’s worth it to pay the extra $20 for one of the hotels across the street that is presumably clean.

Just say no!
The staff actually is friendly but the hotel is very rundown and dirty. Currently washing all of my clothing, coat and travel bags to ensure no bed bugs are with me. Pay extra for other JFK area hotels! Don't let your enemies stay here…

First off, when we arrived, the lobby reeked, the clerk said? they? were just smoking (weed) right outside the door! Then the room floor was soaking wet on the carpet, and the walls were patched up with putty. But here's the icing on the cake that made us leave, there was actual human blood on our pillow! What's worse is management refused to issue a refund when we decided not to stay there and lied to Expedia about why we left so they kept our money… place also has bedbugs and that is not an infestation you want to bring home. All and all, do yourself a favor and stay next door at the Marriott. It's only like $50 more a room but it's like night and day and an amazing experience. I felt safe at the Marriott and at the jfk inn I felt like someone was going to shank me.

My first room # 102 stinks of wet and the air conditioner didn't serve after complaining to me for 2 times I said to return my $130 to pay that I was boy for another hotel and I got the 103 and thank God it was better.

Of course the hotel is still that. Only if you spend the night with your eyes closed.

The staff is friendly, and the continental breakfast as well stocked, this is an older building. So if your looking for a contemporary type room. Sorry you find that here.

A cozy place, the people at the front desk very friendly.

There is bedbugs, smells and very dirty. Guest in 113 ran out of the room when they discovered bedbugs. We had booked 3 rooms and we could not stay because of smells of cigarettes in non smoking room.

I'm a regular at this place traveling frequently to visit my daughter here in Queens from Providence RI. And I'm not understanding how people could say the staff is rude, I FEEL LIKE FAMILY each and every time Im there. Going on about 4 yrs now I'm here at least twice a month and have no complaints. Granted the decor is a bit out dated but there is NEVER EVER a roach, a bug a rodent nor do I get any itch from sleeping in the beds. The place is clean and is what matters most. The breakfast baked goods are out of this world and the shuttle is very accommodating.

The morning donuts are excellent… beds are sufficient enough for rest. But the construction. Decor. Is very ghetto to say the least. The staff are nice. I expected more but u pay for what u get.

Well wen I got here I met d old guy receptionist nd he was receptive. I had my reservation but was waiting for my boy friend who had already checked in a day before me nd was waiting for me at d airport. We missed each other so I had to go to d hotel in a taxi. Wen I told d receptionist d name of my boyfriend he checked nd told me dt my guy went to wait for me at jfk airport. He was so kind as to letting me charge my phone to be able to call my boyfriend. All d staff are friendly. Will always greet nd smile at u. Nice place. Good breakfast. I have no problem wit d hotel.

The hotel is aging. The quality of the rooms is limited and very below what you can expect considering the price.

I'm very disappointed. The worst long term parking service I've ever had. I was waiting for the shuttle for more than 1hr after a 7hr flight. When I came to the parking/hotel on taxi I found my car at the same place where I dropped it off before my trip. Nobody moved it to a secure spot or something like that as was promised by the reception/customer support. After all that I came late to my meeting. I do not recommend using the JFK hotel and long term parking service.

I don't recommend it to anyone it's very chuco bad smell in the rooms and the Pacillo stinks of rotten no car parking is very reduced all.

At the cleanliness level this leaves to be desired and the free shuttle service is almost nil and especially be careful not to fall into the trap of paying to get to the departure terminal that is offered to you $15 per person while it is free, I also found a quilt with bizarre stains and tiny traces of blood on the sheet, we do not breathe the freshness of the place but for a short transit we close our eyes and we drink the cup.

Absolutely awful. I booked this hotel for my sister who had an overnight layover on her way back to South Africa. She called me in tears after dealing with some very abrasive staff. I asked her to detail all these elements so I could somehow hold someone accountable. This is what she had to say: I was collected swiftly at the shuttle point and on arrival encountered a very friendly and kind gentleman by the name of Matthew. He graciously allowed me to check in early allowing me to put down my luggage in order to see New York. After freshening up I returned to the front desk only to be met by an incredibly hostile gentleman by the name of Peter. Peter is the manager of JFK INN. He refused me any assistance in getting back to the airport and told me the only way was to get a cab at a rate of $50. I pleaded with him for an alternative solution to which he again refused. I decided to take a walk to calm down and on my return I confronted him again to which he gave the same reply. I then made it clear to him that on making the reservation I was told there would be a shuttle at my disposal. After some banter as I could not believe he spoke to his customers in this manner he finally agreed to let me take the shuttle back to the airport. Unfortunately his attitude did not change and I felt undermined as I rushed towards the shuttle. The delay forced me to change my initial plans and was left with only a few hours to take in the city.

If we could give this place negative stars we definitely would! We walked into the lobby and there were homeless men sitting on the couches and smoking outside. We got our room key and went up to our room on the third floor. We were immediately hit with the smell of weed and other very pungent smells. We went into our room to find a hole in the ceiling and the bathroom a COMPLETE MESS! We immediately booked another room at a different hotel. When we tried to receive a refund through expedia, they informed us that JFK Inn was not giving us a refund even though we never used the room. I would stay away from this place. It is extremely nasty and in a very rough area. It's not even good for one night!

Very nice hotel A little old, but has its charm. Excellent value for this area near the airport (breakfast included, and shuttle to JFK also). Breakfast Very light flat: for dinner you have to move. Some restaurants are nonetheless accessible at about 10min walk.

This is the worst inn I've seen. The rooms have roaches the staff is rude. I negotiated a price with Priceline was charged a different amount. My account was charged twice for the same amount. The manager of this slum is never to be found and nothing can get done without him. The hall ways reeked of marijuana. I would pay a little more and find a more decent place to stay. Don't do it take heed from all the bad reviews. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Inn is close to the airport and have free shuttle pickup at federal circle. There were other hotels nearby that offer this service. Just take the air train to federal circle after arriving in jfk airport and call for the shuttle.

False advertising price, there is no room for $. 86.00, very bad customer service, unprofessional management, in basement level on the 1st floor, in front of the guests door, station a huge cleaning cart with cleaning products and towels. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. You will be over charge, read your paper receipt, make sure your charges matches up with the website price. The manager, with the Indian accent, be careful of him, he is a bloody crook. He tell you one thing and later denied it. Be AWARE! spend the night.

The hotel is pretty mediocre, offers the least to spend the night before heading to the airport. The parking is limited and was quite congested when we arrived. Luckily, a seat opened because otherwise it would have had to leave the keys to the truck at the front desk for them to park it when a position is opened. The service was decent, nothing special. The breakfast in the morning also was decent. But my greater dissatisfaction is with the promise of the hotel of offer service of transport free to the airport and when request the service we found with that they only offered service free until the train; to the airport were charged $15/persibw.

Rooms are just okay for a night's stay before flying, and breakfast is hit or miss with decent pastries but little else. Airport shuttle runs each hour but it is NOT free as advertised, except between the hotel and the air train. It's $15 per person to take you to JFK terminals. Shower water pressure is terrible and controlling the temperature rather impossible, as it will go up and down drastically and constantly. Will avoid it in the future.

Looks are deceiving. Dont go by the photo of swanky lobby. It isnt. Suitable just for a night layover thats all. Clean sheets and clean bathroom. It's OK.

The check in was easy, after getting my key key I was directed down stairs into the basement to find my room, the halls smelled moldy and horrible. Once I opened my room and walked in I knew I had make a terrible mistake. The room was nothing like the pictures, the carpet was stained and filthy, large pieces of the popcorn ceiling were peeling off and hanging. The room was freezing and I found the heater only blew cold air. The bed spread looked like it was from the 70's, the bed felt like laying on a stack of hay bales. The wall outlet box was pulled out of the wall and dangling by the wires, I carefully plugged my charger in and it did have power, I was praying that it didn't start a fire in the middle of the night. I slept a couple hours to be woken up by people screaming and trucks honking their air horns, after getting out of bed to look out my tiny dirty window I saw what the noise was. The hotel is located right next to a trucking distribution center and it was non stop yelling and honking. The bathroom smelled even worse than the room and moldy hallway. Once I got into the shower I quickly found the shower had two settings, lava or arctic ice water, no joke there was nothing in between! Getting out of the shower I had to be careful not to cut my feet because most of the floor tiles were cracked and pieces missing, leaving behind only sharp jagged edges. In conclusion this hotel was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at and in my opinion needs to be demolished.

Horrible hotel. Basment room beside window well. Room had disgusting durs, gave me allergies. The ammenities that were promised was not given. We had no frige and no microwave. Rooms are filthy, old and very dusty.

They charged my card before I checked in. I wondered why the same guys would be sitting in the lobby no matter what time I came or left. I soon found out it was a homeless shelter also. And they have bed bugs. Going back and forth to my room you smell the strong smell of marijuana… Next time I will pay more money for a safer and better place.

The shuttle was an old beat up van. The website says 24hr shuttle and when I asked for it at a certain time they practically yelled at me saying the 24hrs was only for pickup not drop off and they only had certain hours for drop off. The rooms are really dirty and they don't do proper maintenance to them. There was a patch in the carpet with a different kind of carpet and the ceiling had several patches in it.

Me and another guest had to go out and shovel snow from around our car. Our guests was complaining about trying to leave but they was stuck because the owner of this hotel have no one plowing the parking lot or putting salt on ground. Someone can get hurt or fall. This hotel should not be in business very very terrible.

Women at the front desk named vanessa was extremely rude and racist. She told me to go to the super 8 its cheaper. Ive been at this hotel plenty of times no problem but this women ruined that horrible service I would like to see her fired actually. Thats how insulted I felt after speaking to her.

Takes forever to get the hotel shuttle, we waited for 40 mins at the airport and on the way back we had to call a taxi, as next shuttle was in an hour. Price of the sky train defies price of the hotel (+5$ a person each direction). Wifi is spotty, didn't work in our room. It is ok hotel for a missed flight, but for staying in NY, skip it.

Clean, regarding the rooms that I've stayed in but the Wi-Fi is horrible and constantly disconnects. The breakfast isn't too bad, but expect the hard-boiled eggs to come out somewhat late. There was a morning where I smelled something disgusting in the hallways but thankfully the staff cleaned it up by the end of the day.

Horrible hotel. Women behind reception told us that hotel was overbooked but had a room booked in "sister" hotel Econolodge, which was perfect because it had a casino around the corner. We were just there for 1 night to have a good night sleep. Econolodge was a terrible place in the ghetto of queens, dirty, noisy and used by people who are looking for a 3-hour hotel. Beside we booked a non smoking room and econolodge provided a smoking room. Do you get the picture? JFK Inn wouldn't provide an alternative neither would give our money back. In the end we left this hotel on own initiative for Sumner hotel in Brooklyn (which is a recommendation! ) in the middle of the night. Don't go to JFK Inn.

Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks to stay somewhere else because this place isn't cool at all. I work for the airline and they constantly raise my rate depending on the day I stay which is unusual. It's not all that clean and the shuttle service is horrible! I waited 45 minutes to be picked up tonight and have given this place several chances to redeem themselves but they have failed over and over again. They will not receive my business anymore. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Just an average hotel. If your just looking for a place to stay for a night or 2. This place is great. Not a 5 star hotel but id say its a 3 or 4 (my opinion) I enjoyed it because I dont ask for much. Just a private room, a tv. A bathroom and free Wi-Fi. I liked it here and I have no complaints.

Fairly inexpensive considering the location. Reception was friendly. Room was clean, with a nice clean shower and excellent big king size bed. Very quiet considering the neighbourhood. Behind the motel, there is a school bus parking lot. Quite a sight to see, but remember to close your window at night or else you will be woken up.

If you don't mind filth, or aren't scared you'll wake up with a roach on your face, you can stay here. It was cheap. The front desk guy was courteous to me. But frankly, I should have paid the extra $20 to stay at a cleaner, more established hotel next door.

After being in Londen and Paramaribo these past 2 weeks this hotel came as a big relief. The room we got was really clean, spacious and the beds were nice. They were eager to help you with every problem you presented to them so the service was really nice. Our room was a bit noisy due to the Highway being close to the hotel. Great place to stay for a great price in a expensive city.

I stayed two days at this inn. Quite honestly after reading the reviews, I thought I made the wrong decision. But despite one irrate customer, demanding his $25.00 back, because (the staff believed he had smoked in the room), My experience was quite pleasant. I had the choice of picking my room, the Staff was as courteous as posible, with the exception of one lady, who appeared to need some tips on customer interaction. The room overall was in good shape with clean sheets and overall clean rooms, bathroom was very well cleaned. New insulated windows kept outside noise at a minimum. Good breakfast selection, despite small dining area. Free Wi-Fi, but only on your personal computer. There appeared to be a charge if you wanted to use the hotel desktop, at least in the small business area. Overall on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my experience here a 7. Good value for such a low price in one of the most expensive cities in the world!. P. S. The hallway carpets could use a cleaning or replacement, otherwise AOK. :-).
