Great location and friendly and helpful staff. However the walls are VERY thin, we had 3 different kind of neighbours (party of 3 men having fun and liste ing to music from 2am, 2 friends talking loud and one single watching tv) and we could basically hear everything in every case. Not the place you want if you need to rest.

Was apprehensive as booked this as part of an Airline package holiday. Everything was wonderful! Comfy bed, helpful, friendly staff; great bathroom. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the central location, near most attractions within walking distance or use the subway for the real NYC experience. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Awesome people. Loved the crazy view of the city. The restaurant was full of great staff working to keep the place moving in a positive direction with fun drinks and great food specials. The pepper appetizer was great. The service staff was kind. The counter folks were very friendly.

This is a great new hotel in midtown. Smaller than other crowns plazas, and it lacks a concierge suite for soire elite members. The hotel is nicely decorated with a pleasant atmosphere. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean and quiet. Nice gym and a fun restaurant and bar. The location is just about perfect. Between time square and Chelsea, the quick easy access to Penn station, which means access to everywhere else in New York. This is my new go to hotel.

Fantastic bar TGA, excellent friendly staff. This is a hotel bar that doesn't feel like a hotel bar. It attracts locals like myself. The space is great. Large garage doors open for an outside feel. Retractable roof in rear bar area and a patio. Drinks were well priced. Great cocktail menu. Looking forward to visiting regularly.

Awesome Hotel and excellent and helpful management. I had booked 4 night stay at HY 36. First of all rooms are beautiful and clean. Location is great, its at a walking distance from times square, Empire state and subway. House keeping is great too. Unfortunately for 2 days there was city water cut for 8 hours due to some emergency work. Hotel staff was prompt enough to help us with water bottles. It did cause inconvenience, I went and spoke with manager (Susan Pizza) on duty and without much trouble she waived off one night charge for my booking for no fault of theirs. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This place was amazing. Super happy I chose this hotel — inexpensive but really good service and quality. The staff is friendly and answers all the questions you have! I stayed here with my family and it is SUPER family friendly and a really really good area near attractions. Probably 3-4 blocks away from Times Square and a really good area. I loved the room, so nice and clean and the person who cleaned my room was really attentive as well. I loved everything about it. Will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend and friends!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was exceptionally clean, and the decor is modern and classy (not at all run down or old). The staff deserve huge credit, super friendly and welcoming. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

I don't like staying in midtown, but for a reasonable priced place, it's pretty much mandatory. I found HY36 in one of my many searches for a hotel, and I'm so glad I did. The size of the room was pretty great for NYC standards. I loved the design and feel of the room as well. Bathrooms were very nice with a beautiful shower. The rooms include a mini fridge which is great for all those leftovers I seem to accumulate. The gym is a great size. Plenty of different types of machines, hand weights and a multi-use weight machine. They even have chilled towels which were great for my post work out. Staff were nice and always had a smile and a nice greeting when we came back. Breakfast is free and you grab it from a cafe down the block. The food options there are really nice and it's WAY better than a crappy hotel breakfast buffet. The bar/restaurant that's connected to the hotel has a pretty good happy hour as well. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you're note afraid to fight the midtown crowds. Luckily the subway is only about a block away. :)

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza midtown. We arrived early and were accommodated well before the normal check-in time. The room was well appointed, very clean and looked new. Total blackout shades and very quiet. The front desk staff and doormen were very polite and helpful with all our needs. On a special note, the doorman Kenny found out we were celebrating a birthday and sent up a bottle of champagne! A nice touch indeed.

Good size room with nice bed and good amenities. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Had all my amazon packages stored for me and helped me take them to my room. Bathroom has a light up vanity mirror which is amazing, wish I could take it home with me! Only negative is the walls are quite thin so you easily hear other guests coming and going in the hall. Not pleasant if you have a sleeping baby and a bunch of guys come back from partying at 4:30am! Would still recommend especially because of the location!

We loved our stay here. The room (on the 25th floor) felt recently decorated with colors, textures and lighting that invite to relax. It was big enough for the NY standards and with plenty of outlets and chargers for electronic devices. Super comfy bed and spacious bathroom with nice toiletries. The location is perfect and the staff at the front desk was very courteous. Will definitely come back.

Really nice and renovated hotel in NY. The location is very good 5 min from Pen station and 8 min to Time Square. The rooms are good, all is new and well maintained. They have nice area in the lobby to sit down and work. Few small points: — It may take some time to do check-in or check-out as the hotel is busy and only 1 or 2 receptionist are at the desk. They don't have dedicated check-in for elite members -in the room you can hear your neighbour from another room. Seems like walls not so sound proofed.

Stayed at this hotel for a bachelor party in the city and it was a great place! Perfect proximity to msg and a lot of the bars, we walked everywhere all night! We had to wait for them to clean our rooms before we checked in which took about 30 minutes or so. But aside from that we all had a great stay! Beds were comfortable, the bar down stairs was great and everyone working there was very friendly! Would recommend!

Very good service. Beautiful comfortable rooms. Not too big but I can say that about any hotel in Manhattan. The only thing that we didn't like is the slow valet service. It took more than 30 minutes to get our car.

This was our first time to visit NY and we did a lot of research and decided to stay at the crown plaza in mid town. We arrived early and got lucky our room was not ready so they gave us an upgrade very nice. Room with a view, this is a brand new hotel so everything was very clean and nice. The staff at front desk always had a smile on there face anytime day or night very friendly and helpful. The guys that worked the front doors were also very helpful and smiles always. They had a bar and restaurant were the staff were always accommodating smiles and friendly, yes this is NY! You get back what you put out smiles, helpful and friendly. For NY the price was not bad, four nights under $1400

Newly renovated! Great staff. They automatically upgraded me which was unexpected. Room was spacious for NYC.

Fantastic, helpful, friendly staff. We stayed on the 24th floor. Comfortable bed. Very little street noise. Just a little room to room noise. Room service for breakfast was pretty good and reasonably priced. Rooms are modern and new. I would recommend some additional rods for hanging clothes. Restaurant has a nice ambiance and friendly staff. Soon to have a beer garden patio. This hotel is in a convenient location and is a great value for the price.

What a great find in NYC. Newly renovated, this gem of a hotel is unlike any Crowns Plaza I have ever stayed in. The front desk staff was amazingly friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are absolutely stunning! Amazing design with lots of modern features — like the reading lights above each bed, a remote next to the bed that turns off all the lights in the room, to incredible shampoo, conditioner and soaps in the bathroom. Lots and lots of attention to details. The design of the bathrooms is beautiful, from the superb showers to the creative tilework. I was impressed. The hotel is small and cozy, with very few amenities that usually go with the Crowne plazas, but believe me, I rather liked the cozy nature of this compact boutique like hotel in the middle of Manhattan, within walking distance of time square. A+

Clean, cool decor, fantastic gym, really nice bar, great front desk staff, bellman also really great, well laid out rooms (especially fond of the bathroom layout) and a very, very comfortable bed. Oh also a 5 minute walk from Penn Station!

Excellent new hotel. Close to Penn Station. Really nice folks. Very professional yet personable. Very nice, of not small rooms. The least stressful stay in Manhattan since I lived here.

This place is nice and modern. Our room was clean when we arrived. The Business Center is just one computer located in an indented wall in the lounge. The lounge has a cool vibe with board games available. The gym is well designed and includes a variety of modern equipment. Now the negatives. The ice machine is strangely located. I gave up looking for it. The keycard is required to select floors on the elevator. No one told us this and we stood in the elevator for a while after check-in. It's quirky (makes you wonder about the dangers) and we kept forgetting when we had to use the elevator. Other guests also did not know or were forgetting about this requirement. Our room's air system was very loud (don't know about other rooms) so I turned off the A/C so I could sleep. I usually could sleep through anything but not this hotel's A/C. Our shower's base was not sloped well so we had a small pool when showering. It still was able to drain so it didn't flood the shower. Design, decor, and cleanliness won me over that's why I gave it 4 stars. I deducted 1 for the loud air system. The other issues I elaborated are only minor to me.

Nice and clean facility. The staff was very attentive and always double checked to make our experience was great. I would definitely recommend this facility. Thought the location was convenient and slightly away from the chaos, but close enough for convenience. Also with Penn Station right around the corner the entire island is easy access.

We were in a twin room, to be NY very good space in the room. It is a new hotel, and although there is an area that is still under construction it doesn't bother at all. In our case we were given breakfast and although in hotel not yet the restaurant is open, breakfast was provided in a restaurant on the corner. The location is very good. I would go back to the hotel.

Absolutely outstanding! Great location, contemporary design, impeccably kept rooms, welcoming atmosphere, and top notch service from the entire staff. This property was one of the many highlights of my trip. It will be my choice hotel for future stays in Manhattan.

Friendly staff. Beautiful rooms and all round great experience. The restaurant will be open next month, but with so many great restaurants nearby it is not an issue. The complimentary cocktail at the Cork & Kale was also excellent.

Brand new hotel — something that I always enjoy! So close to Times Square and was within a 5 minute walking distance to Penn Station. We came from Long Island to celebrate our anniversary and didn't want to roll around our suitcase too far or take a taxi in our nice dinner outfits. The staff was amazing! The room was perfect and we loved the bathroom. Beds were almost too comfortable… This is my favorite location I have stayed at in the city and I'm looking forward to coming back! Can't wait to visit them once they have their own restaurant and bar as well.

Absolutely wonderful experience top to bottom. We arrived Saturday in the city earlier than expected and decided to just see if we could leave our bags at the hotel until check-in so we could explore without dragging our luggage around. We were greeted outside with smiles and welcomes and ushered right in to the front desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful to the truest sense of the word. They allowed us to check in early, asked about our trip, helped us with directions to things we wanted to see and never once looked or acted like we were a burden like some places. The entire staff was wonderful. Every time we left and returned we were wished well and greeted upon our return. They kept checking to make sure our entire trip, not just our hotel stay, was going amazingly well. On our second day, it was raining and we still had more exploring to do, so we were kind of bummed. Upon arriving in the lobby, they supplied us with umbrellas to stop the rain, and directions to more places we wanted to see. I have found my new favorite hotel, you made the trip extra special for my mother, my fiance and myself and I will definitely be staying here again in the future. I will also be recommending this place to anyone traveling to NYC. That was just our experience. The rooms were amazing with top notch amenities and it really was awesome all the way around. Thank you guys for an awesome weekend, you've gained a guest for the long haul.

Great new hotel. Only opened for two weeks. I was surprised at how large the room was. Everything is clean and new! Very nice gym too and the receptionists we're attentive and warm.

Street in great repair with construction machinery in action very early.
Very very disappointed unlike a stay in the same area of times Square, at the Westin (which is not more expensive) but that was complete this time.
Reflection and comparison to have before Booker.

I was their third guest to check-in. The hotel was under construction and their restaurant was not open yet. I was given 1 breakfast voucher and 1 drink for my 3 day stay. Hotel staff was great. I was greeted with smiles and friendliness. Clean and modern hotel in a great location. My AC went out at the end of my second stay. I figured it's due to construction but it did not cool the following day. It was hot and I'm normally a cold person. I would definitely stay here again. The room was great.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with soft smiles and hellos. Flight got in early and we needed to drop our bags off so we may explore this big city. Fortunately, our upgraded room was ready and were offered a glass of bubbly for our jet lag. Staff were extremely pleasant. Our king room was great. The mattress itself was heaven. (It was such a bad thing for this trip because I slept in A LOT) loved the tiled shower and the over sized shower head. The room was pretty lit up. Great lighting for make up application. I look forward to staying here again!
