So they say New York rooms are very small, and we had a Corner Room. It was supposed to be one of the larger rooms. It was tight but very nicely put together. Besides the room the hotel was very chick. The staff was fantastic. They have a small bar but made awesome drinks. Would absolutely go back there for another long weekend.

Great boutique hotel. Cute decor — great staff — comfy bed and nice washroom. Also get guest access to equinox — way better than any hotel gym.

Online pictures of rooms are very deceiving. Small dark box. Very disappointing considering it’s $300 a night. They also charge your credit card $100 per night for incidentals, to which they kindly give back 2-3 days after you check out. Ridiculous. First and last time I stay here.

Comfortable like boutique hotel in Tribeca. The rooms are quiet. The location is ideal.

Polite and professional staff. Nice setting and location. Rooms are very tight and not much bigger than beds. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

The hotel was nice. However, when I got home I realized I had forgotten my favorite dress and jacket hanging in the closet. Called to see if I could get it back, they couldn't find it. While I admit I am responsible for having forgotten my property, I think they need to pick their staff better.

Really nice staff, great little front bar and sitting area on a corner with Windows. Definitely a Superb value.

Great Hotel, they have a small boutique hotel but service and comfort is great. I really enjoyed my stayed here, I've stayed here at least twice and the rooms are cozy. For a king size bed you will enjoy the comfort level of the room. The bathroom and stand up shower is very nice, feels like you have your own personal sauna. Have plenty of closet and space and storage. I recommend this hotel if you want to stay close by downtown Manhattan, It's close by the WTC memorial and less congested part of New York City. Duane Street Hotel has very affordable pricing.

Amazing staff. Were beyond accommodating. Great drinks, great service, clean rooms. Wonderful environment. Always suggested places to visit in the city.

Accessable to A, C, and E trains. Place generally clean, well lighted, but may have many homeless sleeping on the floor during bad weather.

I stayed here on a work trip and can’t fault the place. The staff are the best — so attentive and helpful! I’ll definitely be back!

Its a really small place but its a great place if you wanna just grab a drink and sit and chat with a friend or two. Its also close go most of the trains at the chambers street stop. The prices are also good and the hotel room are average for the area. Enjoy.

Boutique Hotel that I really appreciated for style and professionalism.

Superb boutique quaintly a pointed with an Asian restaurant and well stocked bar. Excellent location. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for an afternoon drink. Beautiful hotel in a great neighborhood. Imagine it would be a nice date spot. Drinks were solid.

The staff was AMAZING! Melissa, Gina and Rory were the sweetest people ever! The hotel was nice and quaint with great little eaterys nearby! I would definitely stay there again. Space was a bit small, but typical for New York spacious… thanks so much for an awesome time.

Second floor room was comfortable but a bit noisy. Loud conversations from other guests (or staff) woke us in the early morning. Hotel is an excellent location with great restaurants and bars within walking distance.

This place was very clean, and provides convenient access to the Tribeca area. The room was small, but smartly furnished and for the brief stay we were there, it served our needs nicely. Staff was helpful and attentive. If you valet your car however, be aware it sat curbside for 45 minutes before it was garaged, and took about an hour for them to bring it back to us when we requested it so plan accordingly. There are several parking garages in the area that I would have utilized had I known this in advance.

I stayed here for my fiancés bday, and we had a blast. The staff was attentive, and even brought a bottle of wine to our room to celebrate. We enjoyed our visit, and the location was perfect!

It's rare to feel at home when staying at a hotel. The Duane Street Hotel is RARE, a gem, a diamond in the rough! The people here are TOP notch! I was just there for 4 nights and loved it! You guys went above and beyond. When I come back to NYC in the future I would def consider staying here again. I loved chatting with the staff each day. Thank you for such impeccable service.

Great location, cordial staff. Only gripe is that there is a lot of sound transmission between the hallway and the rooms.

Melissa at the front desk needs a raise! She provided Superior customer service — I had to change my non refundable booking due to a family emergency and she called the company I booked through (Jetsetter) on my behalf, without me even asking, and was able to get me a refund for the nights I had to cancel. I learned my lesson and will never book thru Jetsetter again, but I'd come back to DSH so long as Melissa is there. She rocks.

Great location, next to the freedom tower and close to the subway station. I spent a great time here, but unfortunately my room was too small (specially the bed) don't hesitate to book a room with a King size bed (but it will be expensive). The breakfast is also expensive ($25 for scrambled eggs) so don't hesitate to take your breakfast away, you'll probably find cheaper and better. The main reason to choose this hotel is for the location.

What can I say? Just go and stay and experience all that this wonderful hotel has to offer. From the moment we stepped in the front door all was perfect. We were greeted with smiles. The staff members were all very helpful. The hotel had a unique atmosphere. I will definitely stay here again… Thanks Manwel Pablo (Hotel Concierge) for going above and beyond and making our hotel stay so perfectly special!

Small unassuming hotel. It has designs on being Boutique but doesn't quite get there. The reception is small and functional as are the nicely decorated rooms. Avoid the top floor as there is generator on the roof which makes the rooms below hum (although the staff were very happy to change my room when I asked. )

Rooms are nice but the lobby makes a bad effect. … good adress in Tribeca.

As someone said in another review, the rooms remind me of those displays in IKEA ("Look what you can do in 600 sq ft! "), but they are tastefully done and the space is used well. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom doesn't skimp for such a compact room. Best thing about the Duane St. Is it's location. Right next to the art gallery district of Tribeca, and a pleasant 10-20 minute walk to so many great places, the WTC site, Soho, China Town, Little Italy, The Village, etc. Staff was very courteous and helpful. I'd stay here again!
