I didn’t stay here but this is one of my favorite NY hotels because it’s on my favorite show. It’s so fancy. People is really nice. There was a private event so I cousin see much. But I’m happy I went there. I hope to someday stay here when I come back to NY.

We went here for our honeymoon, the hotel is very impressive, the staff are lovely. The rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are real stone, the air con works and isn't loud. The downsides are few but worth mentioning. There are no in-room facilities to make yourself hot drinks and no restaurant option for evening dining, which seemed very peculiar as there is 24 hour room service which is excellent. The hotel bars are excellent, especially for cocktails but very pricey. I guess you can expect that. I'd say this is very nearly a 5 star destination save for those few shortcomings.

Excellent place to stay. Great service rooms are fantastic and if you are high enough the views are magnificent. The place to stay as it's convenient to all attractions and shops. Nice area to walk around either daytime or at night. 5 star rating.

Am midway through my stay and so far it's great. The bed is very comfortable which is the most important thing for me. There's great water pressure and I was able to take a nice long hot shower. The room service is pretty expensive ($52 for a club sandwich, fries and an ice tea)! The location is convenient. Given the size of the room, I wish the bathroom was given more square footage.

Our stay was beautiful and elegant. We were pampered and our needs were catered to. During our visit, the place was flooded with kings and dignitaries from every country as they literally had an International summit there. We were treated just as they were, with respect and dignity, even though we were not Kings. Awesome visit — highly recommended.

If you want to stay at a five-star hotel this is the place to stay in New York. It used to be the Helmsley Palace Hotel. The architecture in the hotel is so beautiful and the staff is very helpful. The rooms were well-appointed we even had a doorbell on our room. Great location near Broadway Rockefeller Center easy walk great neighborhood definitely will go back. It's a treat if you're willing to spend the money.

We stopped in to have drinks at the bar. The area was formally the music room of the mansion and truly stunning! The staff were terrific and friendly. The bartender was knowledgeable and gave us a history lesson along with a small tour! This on top of tasty drinks of course. Great place!

The rooms are well appointed and large. I've contacted guest services with a couple requests and they were quick to deliver. A very nice hotel.

5-star hotel. But, I was expecting more. Like maybe a microwave, fridge on the room. And a little more space. Nice view overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral. Great location.

Very upscale hotel in the heart of Manhattan.

This is an extremely prestigious hotel in the heart of the city. Stayed here for a friends wedding and was extremely impressed. My son was having a temper tantrum in the lobby when we arrived and a staff member appeared out of thin air and gave him a complimentary teddy bear which definitely helped. Their staff is absolutely extraordinary you can tell they are happy to work their and it shows in every interaction from check in to retrieving your car. I'm so happy to get a chance to write this review as they were so helpful and I know everyone in my party would say the same.

What a Beautiful hotel. My fiance spent 20 minutes taking pics of the ceilings and decor. Gorgeous room, incredible view overlooking Saint Patrick's Cathedral. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Heavenly beds, great showers, luxurious robes. Great Midtown location. 5 min walk to Rockefeller Center.

Great hotel and strategic location for stays in NY.

This is not a good hotel. I mentioned at the front desk that the room did not meet my expectations and I was told that the rooms were renovated 2 years ago to make them brighter. There was no further apology. My room was not bright (except early in the morning, because of the sheer curtains, when I woke up at the break of dawn, on a Saturday, on my vacation when I would've liked to sleep in a bit) and felt incredibly dated. I was given a discount on arrival because it was my first time staying here and I was told that I was going to have a nice high floor room; it was disappointing to put it politely. I wanted to order room service for breakfast but did not want to pay $14 for a cappucino, like any sane person. This hotel is absolutely terrible. I would go so far as to say it's a scam; they charge outrageous prices because of the location and they get away with it. I originally wrote 2 stars because the concierge gave good restaurant recommendations but that doesn't even justify the 2 stars. I will not return to this hotel. This hotel is the epitome of the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig. " If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

You’ll have to pay for Wi-Fi, and there’s no coffee in the rooms. Would have thought that both would be included for a 5-star hotel. Otherwise the rooms were really nice and the customer service was excellent. The location is also great — public transport options, close to Central Park and lots of shopping. We would stay here again.

Customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE! — Genuinely not nice people at desk. — Got a package delivered and got horrible and lazy mail room service. Still don't have my package! — Room service was bad. Ordered a bottle and ice cups around 6 to drink before going to dinner. Got it delivered at 7:40… when we were leaving! — the bars is very loud and service poor — And so on and so on …

Iconic Palace in New York, turned into Hotel, I love it!

Great location, beautiful hotel, and comfortable rooms. They have a few bar areas that offer a strong drink selection and different atmospheres. If you have a minute, check out their breakfast area, it is absolutely gorgeous. This hotel is also a fantastic value when you take into consideration the location, the rooms, the atmosphere, and overall level of service.

I didn't stay overnight so I can't speak to the rooms. I attended a magic show performance here by the millionaires magician. The interior of this hotel is luxuriously ornate and scream of a whole different time period I'm construction and design. All the surfaces are hand carved. The staff I interacted with were all very polite and helpful.

Run! Hotel is super old and super small. Booked a room for 2 double beds and it supposedly accommodates 3 people. The beds are twin size beds and the room is so small. Checked out of the four seasons and came and checked into this hotel worst idea ever. Four Season service and hotel was so much better. Run! Talked to the manager but all he could do was provide smart remarks on how I chose the room. “I chose the room based on what will accommodate 3 people. ” When we walked into the room we walked into an inn. The other reviews can’t possibly be true. This is no way a 5 star hotel. Only stars are the ones outside on the Christmas tree. This will be our first and last time staying at this hotel. I’m guessing I wasn’t the right color as I was provided with smart remarks and easily dismissed by the staff and manager that was here.

Hotel to visit in an absolute way for those who are on holiday in New York.

Beautiful hotel with large rooms. The Christmas decoration, both inside and out, is stunning. With a bit of luck, you get an upgrade. Very good service, but a bit impersonal. This is probably due to the size of the hotel. But the rooms overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral are a dream!

Awesome location, very friendly staff, the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. But I don’t think I will stay here again because I felt like the carpet in the room was exceptionally very dirty! The beds or weren’t that bad a lot of pillows which is cool. TV remote was difficult to maneuver but I guess that’s expected for hotels and of course the selection channels were limited. It’s definitely not an excellent hotel it’s just A good Hotel.

Very nice cathedral, there is exhibition of the Most Holy, it is very frequented, for 3 dollars you can pay a coin in a machine with the reminder, there is digital book of visitors.

Service from all excellent. Special bar of only the best of the best wonderful. Manager of that bar without equal. Banquet: at cocktail time food passed around was more than first class. Fresh shrimp were firm, perfect t to bite into, probably the finest shrimp of my almost 80 year life time. I cannot say enough to correctly praise this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, but don't leave anything behind in your room. I know it's my fault, but I forgot an item in the room. I called the hotel within a few hours of checking out and they said it wasn't there. I'm 100% certain I left it in the room and even know where I left it. Yes, it's entirely my fault, but I'd hope a hotel of this caliber and price would return belongings left behind if they're quickly reported. Live and learn. Check your room thoroughly before you check out! Otherwise, nice hotel although I agree with other reviewers that the price for breakfast is jaw dropping. Internet is an extra charge and beware that even looking at minibar items may trigger a charge. The room was nice, though, and the bed was comfortable.

Had an awesome stay at the Lotte New York Palace while celebrating an anniversary. Paul at the front desk went way out of his way to take great care of us. We really appreciated the great hospitality shown at this establishment. Five Stars!

Greg and the Lotte hotel saved me. I was staying at another hotel that ended up being a bit of a nightmare and I had to leave. At 4:30am I am calling hotel after hotel to see if any had vacancy/the type of room I needed. I spoke with Greg and he was very sympathetic to my situation and was extremely accommodating. He went out of his way and helped me find a quite room and was able to help me quickly. The hotel itself is lovely, quiet, clean, and is exactly as advertised. The thing that stood out to me the most (as a former NYC resident and someone who travels to NYC often) most hotels, even the luxury ones, have an air of "you're welcome, " impatience, and apathy. Everyone I encountered at Lotte were kind, attentive, capable, and accommodating. I was also impressed with Kingsly the bellman. He not only remembered me, but was available and accessible rather than pushy. I will be staying here again!

The hotel was nice. Modern, clean, well staffed. However we were given different stories by the staff about rides to the airport, the deposit, etc. They were apologetic but offered nothing to midigate the damage caused by false advertising. The housekeeper was wonderful 5 stars. Christina was very sweet and professional.

Cloud 9 views of NYC are only a floor below. I think the views from our room were even better… What do you call a Palace that's even better than a Palace? Heaven? A dream? or… A Perfect Vacation? Thank you Lotte Palace Hotel Our second time with you and hopefully many more to come. The Villard restaurant is so much better than one could imagine, the food, the service, the atmosphere… truly Royal. It felt like such a privilege to see the grand beauty of this building interior. The parking next door is clean, safe and the gentlemen are very trustworthy as we have experienced, your car will be in great hands while you enjoy a great stay, don't second guess this option, it's fantastic and more than Google will allow me to type. Enjoy!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I've stayed at hundreds. The NYC Palace employees are always more than happy to help in anyway — smiling — — happy — ready to help out with anything. The rooms are fantastic and the view is breathtaking (from the right room). I just can't say enough about this hotel. Light years ahead of the rest in terms of both their attitude and their attention to detail. I highly recommend the LOTTE NY PALACE.

Rooms were well appointed and expected size for an American hotel. Room service menu seemed overpriced, but not unexpected. Centrally located and easily accessible from public transit.

The rooms are spacious; the beds very comfortable, and service is incredibly welcoming and efficient. Room service is fast and the food is very good. I love the bakery for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Our favorite NYC Hotel!

The accounting staff at this hotel is superb for business guests who require special attention. they are always attentive to your requests and will do their best to accommodate you for late check-out even when the hotel is fully committed. highly recommend this hotel.

The Palace is always inviting and accommodating. My family had an especially nice stay recently due to the diligence of Jimm Kalinka — Towers Guest Service Agent. Jimm was very helpful in securing our request for a high floor in The Towers. We visit The Lotte New York Palace twice a year and would recommend this hotel and the service provided by the staff, especially Jimm Kalinka. David M.

I tried to book online using the hotel website and I kept getting a message that I need to enter a correct email. After 3 tries I called the hotel direct and was told I would have to keep trying because they did not have the same price as their website. They wanted to charge me $31 more for the same room. I asked for them to honor the price quoted on their website and they said they couldn't. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the same thing. After a half on the phone with 2 people that refused to help me, I was transferred to the manager's (Pam) VM. Nice… I went back to the website and figured out what the problem was. In the section marked mobile phone you have to enter an email address. Go figure! Their web master needs some direction on how to code those fields. Most regular human beings would enter a phone number where the box asks for a mobile number. To be told to keep trying instead offering me assistance was very frustrating. I was so disappointed by the customer service I received and the amount of time spent on the phone that resulted in zero reservations. Not a good first impression. : (

Room service is so slow my TV wouldn't work called down three times still no one came up, then I was sitting out side the front have coffee and a sandwich and got asked right in the middle of eating to move so they could blow the Leaves away, don't bother saying here!

They were just 5 days in this hotel, pool, bar, rooms, nice stairs, really is a Palace in Manhattan.

Horrible customer service, over ratted rooms. Valet are jerks can't even bring your car around to get things out "no we don't do that". Stayed at many high end hotels and this is not one of them. You are not getting what you pay for. Don't waste your time or money.

The New York Palace Hotel — is, one of the greatest hotels in the City. Their management — most especially Carin Armstrong is a true professional — and values customer service. The management sets the tone — for the Hotel. Location in Midtown is in walking distance to everywhere you want to be. The rooms are unusually large for NYC — GYM is GREAT. The outdoor courtyard is a great place to sit, with a cup of coffee to take in the city. The concierge team — know all the best places to go.

Fantastic place to stay while in New York. Perfect location. A total value all around. Vintage records play in the elevators. The rooms look out onto hand painted mannequin trapeze acts. Each King suite includes a living area. The staff are polite and professional. The day manager actually pieced together a package that included gift cards to M Burger, breakfast, and a Spotify gift card. Our whole New York trip was so relaxed and enjoyable thanks to The New York Palace. Would definitely book here again.

Spent our wedding night here before going to Europe for our honeymoon — — — and it was perfect! They upgraded us to a suite with a great view of the city. Fantastic service, great location and super views.

We had our daughter's wedding in the Villard Mansion at the NY Palace on April 18, 2015. The hotel rooms were so lovely, clean and comfortable and the corner rooms have a spectacular view. Our family had 5 rooms and everyone loved the place. As far as the wedding — Billy P. And Kaan E. Made this a dream wedding for our daughter. They worked tirelessly from beginning to end, the Mansion is old world and beautiful, the food was to die for. Everything was flawless. The true highlight is the service for the hotel and the event. The staff makes everything look effortless and you always feel like they care for your well being and that they are grateful for your business. Can't wait to come and stay here again.

This was our first time staying at the New York Palace. Usually stay at the Waldorf Astoria. Not very pleased overall and would only rate it a 2.5. We had a very noisy room due to a plumbing issue, had to deal with an extremely rude car valet and they did not offer any restaurants on the premises. Our bellman Tom was fabulous and made our stay that much more pleasant. Gorgeous interior lobby as well as beautiful holiday décor. Room nothing special and bathroom cramped. Love New York City and visit several times a year. Think I will skip the Palace in the future.

I had a bad experience with the concierge, and some body at the fax I had made a reservation for 13 people at a restaurant with the concierge in the morning, very decent and attentive. He made the reservation and they needed me to confirm and fax signature and credit card number Tonight I came with the concierge at night and he refused to sent the mail for a reservation, he asked another man in the front desk to do that, He did it and I tipped him then I asked him to call the restaurante to check if everything was OK, He refused to call and he told me it was the concierge job, so he sent me back to him who did nothing. I am currently at room 1222 and 1212. I also complain with the manager in turn aden connected my callwith another concierge Inconsistency in service damage a lot to a hotel Fernando.

Amazing views from premier skyline room (3517) over Rockefeller and St Patrick's. No restaurant but when did you struggle for food in nyc? Only black mark was their attempt to charge me $8 for a bottle of water from the mini bar despite not touching the thing (we were warned on check in that it operates a very sensitive sensor system so we deliberately gave it a wide berth but still got stung). Happily they agreed to waive the charge so they retain their 5 star review as all else was excellent. Will definitely return.

The New York Palace Hotel has been a staple in NYC forever. Location: Great location being right in midtown (50th and Madison Avenue). Next to all of the 5th and Madison Avenues shopping, Rockefeller Center, short walk to Central Park and Grand Central Station if you need to catch the trains. Arrival: There are three different entrances to the hotel — 50th Street, 51st Street and Madison Avenue. You should arrive on the 50th Street entrance (closest to reception) although its busy. When we arrived there are people everywhere on the street (it's a busy part of town) and inside the lobby. Luggage was everywhere on the floor and carts. I understand it's summer and the hotel was full. Bellman: They were friendly and helpful. Reception/Front Desk: There's a semi circle desk of people ready to check you in. The woman at reception was friendly. Lobby: The lobby area is ok, but feels old. They need to make it more welcoming in my opinion with more places to sit. Room: We were on the 33rd floor and the room layout is standard. Walk in, closet on the right, bathroom on the left and the traditional square room. The size was good. It was bigger than a standard room with plenty of space. View: We had a small view of the East River and lots of buildings of course. Bed: The king size bed was very comfortable. Bathroom: The bathroom was dated. The size wasn't small, but it wasn't big. The shower and bathtub was combined and old.

I cannot say enough. They upgraded our room upon request of my boyfriend to 'impress' me (he does all the time :) ) wonderful accommodations, checked us in early as we were transferring from another hotel, fantastic location. Thought of all the details to dimmers on lights, enough outlets for all, controls bedside, hair dryer that was better than my own! magnifying mirror. It was just gorgeous! Thank you New York Palace, would and will highly recommend.

In 2006 we went to New York, we contract with the English Court flight and hotel
flying with Air France and hospeandonos in NEW YORK PALCE.
The flight came out of paris and the estaqncia was unforgettable.
I give it a 10 on this trip and the hotel.
