We came for our wedding anniversary and we were in awe! The hotel and staff are incredible, and upon arriving after dinner we were greeted with a hand written note from Cheryl, chocolates, and Prosecco! The attention to detail is second to none and you are close to all the major hot spots. Can’t wait to be a guest again!

Oh, my goodness! Where to start? I just returned home after a wonderful 4-night stay! The room was amazing! I so loved the convenience and amenities of the Club Room! The staff goes out of their way to be helpful! The take pride in calling guests by name — nice touch! This was my second time to stay in one of the Library Hotel collection hotels; but, it will NOT be my last! This is hospitality done well! Kudos to all the staff!

Old fashion hotel. Reasonable price. Breakfast was very wonderful. Room was very big. Good location. But there were old furnitures. Bathroom was too old. Need to renovation I can hear footstep from upstairs.

A great stay in a 20s style hotel with attentive employees. Great options for sleep such as memory foam pillows and toppers!

Staff was great and professional every step of the way. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The complimentary wine and cheese each day was a nice touch as well. Centrally located to everything, I would definitely stay here again.

It's decent hotels. Their service is okay but of you are looking for good service too then this might not be your option.

Very nice. I felt like I was stepping back into the 1870's. Very cool rooms, with vintage furniture. The cheese and wine at 6-8 is a nice time too!

Our experience at the Hotel Elysee was amazing. I called the front desk on our way to the hotel to inquire about where their garage was, and the concierge informed me all I need to do is park in front and a valet will park the car for me. Talk about service! Check in was smooth, and our room was very clean and spacious. We made a note that we were celebrating our anniversary at the hotel, and one of the concierge, Rob, had a bottle of prosecco waiting with two glasses for us in the room. The attention to detail was amazing. They offered wine and cheese in the sitting room in the late afternoon, which was delicious. Overall I am very impressed and can't wait to come back.

This place is a gem! Small, well located boutique hotel. No 2 rooms are the same. The staff is always looking out for you. And everyone loves the 5-8:00 wine and cheese in the eloquent lounge. Our location of choice when we're visiting the City.

Just spent 3 nights here and highly recommend. Fantastic location, staff, amenities. Breakfast and happy hour wine and appetizers a big bonus. Will stay here again.

A classy, traditional Midtown Hotel. Clean, comfortable, cozy. Wonderful service. Continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the afternoon a civilized plus. We'll be back, without a doubt.

This is a great hotel! Breakfast is fantastic, and the cheese and wine they have in the end of the day is great. Close to subway and walkjng distance from good stores.

Lovely, friendly and cozy hotel that is well-located in Midtown Manhattan. Spacious, comfortable rooms are nicely decorated. The breakfast and daily wine reception are nice extras. I almost hope this hotel doesn't get too "discovered. "

Not our original booking as due to issue @ original sister hotel we were moved : but what a bonus! We had a king suite (room 83) which was immaculate and beyond anything we've ever stayed in — total luxury. The complimentary wine chocolate and brownies for my birthday was a wonderful touch. Absolutely everyone at the hotel from door staff to breakfast staff were 100% attentive, engaging and friendly. A credit to themselves and the hotel. Made our 5 day stay in NYC an absolute dream! Thank you all so much xxx.

This is the most recommendable hotel I have ever stayed with. The small staff works tirelessly with pride to provide you with everything you need to enjoy your stay in the city. After one week with the Hotel Elysee, I realized that it is one of the best kept secrets in Manhattan. The second story club room which offers up close views of the street below is one of those rare places that you can sit back and relax and watch the craziness below. If you go in the afternoon, the club room will be filled with conversation, laughter, and the clinging of wine glasses. If you are lucky, someone might even sit behind the piano and play a few songs for everyone. In the morning, the club room is full of sleepy travelers filling up on coffee and pastries. The bell-staff seemed to be a very tight knit group. Every other day I would see the same faces behind the desk which granted a comfortable "at home" feeling when I would arrive back at the hotel. Upon arrival, my new wife and I found that the Hotel Elysee had taken extra measures to make sure we had an extraordinary honeymoon. We were so impressed by the old-fashioned generosity and kindness shown to us every day of our stay. Even on the last day, the bellman out front took the initiative of loading our belongings into the town car that was to take us to the airport even though we were still 10 minutes away stuck in traffic trying to get back.

Small Hotels like this one has charm you don't find in many other hotels. Our room was very nice and for NYC very large. Had a nice bar and restaurant. Parking was easy and everyone there was very nice.

Each time my family and I stay here we have a lovely time. The employees are wonderful, the rooms interesting, and the location great. The elevator is slow but you can easily take the stairs if you're in a hurry, or wait for a bit in the nice lounge on the second floor.

Old World Charm. Boutique hotel in the heart of Midtown, within walking distance of MOMA, Broadway, great restaurants and shopping. Complimentary breakfast and wonderful happy hour served in a cozy second floor lounge. Lovely, clean hotel rooms, quiet, with comfortable beds. Marble bathrooms. Friendly staff. Nothing pretentious, just right for a few day or week-long stay in New York. Dining Tip: Cellini, an excellent Italian restaurant across the street, serves quick lunches and excellent dinners. Tourist Tip: Take the 2 1/2 hour 'Circle Line' tour to understand the geography and scope of Manhattan island.

Great location for my work. Breakfast and lounge is handy and functional. Rooms need an overhaul, poor location of power points for example. Can be very noisy depending which room you get. No room service maybe an issue for some, although being New York lots of places nearby.

Agreeable boutique hotel with a whiff of French charm. Efficient and helpful staff. Fantastic location. Nice perks, like the daily happy hour with wine and snacks for all guests. Only downside would be the noise.

This is now my favorite hotel in New York City. Superb, friendly staff. Darling and comfortable rooms. (I slept on a cloud. ) A library, gathering space where I can go and work or converse over coffee and wine (all complimentary). I know I'm gushing but the experience for me was worthy of the gush. Everything just clicked. My only critique was that my burger at the bar was meh, but seriously, everything else exceeded my expectations.

The most magnificent room I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. My husband and I stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was everything and more. Elegant decor, beautiful antiques, bright, airy, comfortable… an oasis in midtown Manhattan. I can't imagine there is any other hotel in the city that has luxury rooms of this caliber. The hotel is truly in a class all by itself. The free wine and cheese and breakfast served daily were both lovely. The staff is professional and courteous. The bed was heavenly. The best hotel mattress I've ever slept in. The bathtub is deep with a slanted back for comfortable support. You feel "embraced" by the tub. The robes and slippers provided were a welcomed relief after a soothing bath. I don't know what else to say except that I'm certain any other future hotel stays will pale in comparison to the Hotel Elysse.

What a charming and elegant hotel. Our room was quite comfortable and I thought it was very large, considering it was in the city. A great feature is the breakfast and cocktail hour in the club room. The cocktail service is great for people who are going to see a Broadway show and want to eat afterward; we could snack on cheese and crackers, nuts and beverages and that was enough to hold us until late evening. The staff was fantastic! I lost my theater and plane tickets and they helped me get new copies. When we needed a taxi and the doorman couldn't easily find one, he literally ran down the street to hail one, coming back to the hotel riding in the cab! I had read that that the rooms can be noisy; I made sure to ask for a quiet room. The one they provided was like a tomb — more quiet than my Ohio neighborhood!

Every year I travel, lived here twice. Everything in this hotel was perfect, but the most important was the staff perfect, especially the Graig and his team at the front desk. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Three days in October, and enjoyed it very much. The staff here is outstanding — low key, helpful, welcoming, and thoughtful. We will stay here again, and will recommend it to others. The room is comfortable, clean, and quiet. The lounge is terrific for reading, meeting others, and the snacks are good. Location was very good for us. Hotel Elysee as the backdrop for our three days in Manhattan was close to perfect.

Our stay at Hotel Elysee was outstanding. The staff, service, amenities, and quality of the facility was beyond anything I ever expected. Hotel Elysee has set the standard for excellence. We have stayed at several hotels in the NYC area (at the same price point) and found the amenities that are provided are not as generous and the staff at these other establishments (though good) were not in the same league as Hotel Elysee.

I have to dock them a star for the simple reason they have The Monkey Bar attached to their lobby and haven't asked the staff there to be less pretentious and snobby with hotel visitors. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, but this is definitely a classy hotel that seems more designed for an older crowd. The bathrooms, used by lobby visitors and The Monkey Bar patrons, are located upstairs in the hotel and around a split-level confusing corner. There's also a living room style lounge above the main lobby that is just for hotel guests.

Hotel Elysée is a nod to older times. Classically decorated and catering to an older crowd, it's easy to imagine this place hopping in the 60s. Think balck and white tile and a staircase covered in velvet. Public spaces are painted as if outdoor murals. Staff is courteous. We didn't stay here but rather popped in to check out the space and grab a bite. It's a place your parents or grandparents would be comfortable but perhaps not the best for young families.

Super charming Midtown Hotel with a charming lobby and friendly three-person staffed desk. While it's a small hotel, there is a great seating area up front with a view of passerbys that is perfect for people watching and maybe catching up on some work. Unfortunately, the "public" lobby bathroom also doubles as the restroom for The Monkey Bar, which is a bit awkward, but makes sense given The Monkey Bar, while a separate entity, is connected to the hotel.

I was in Hotel Elysee New York for few days. I liked their services. Would like to recommend this hotel anyone who is searching for a good place to stay.
