I'm giving this place two stars instead of one only because they were very nice and apologetic the next day. We prepaid the room for the night. I called to make sure the room was available as we were arriving extremely late. They assured me it was no problem. It was after midnight when we arrived. The front door was locked but they had a house phone to call the desk to be let in. All the lights were off on the front desk and no one was there. No one answered my call. I looked up the regular phone number and called on a regular phone; again no answer. I tried pounding on the doors but got no response. I was trying the national resevation number in the hopes they had an emergency phone number when someone came to the door. The night desk clerk was doing laundry and couldn't hear me. Let's just say I was not greeted with a warm welcome when the door finally opened. I tried to check in and their computer was doing an audit. I had to wait until that was done before I could check in. By the time I got a key and got to my room nearly an hour had gone by. The towels were all torn from wear and tear. Since its an Extended Stay they normally ask if you need any kitchen supplies. The night clerk hadn't asked and I didn't think to ask. There wasn't a glass or cup in the room. . I went back to the desk for a glass and of course the lights were off again and no one was there. When finally I got to lay down the bed was so hard it was uncomfortable and hurt to lay on it. In the morning I had to iron something and the iron was broken. On my way out I got a cup of coffee and a prepackaged yucky muffin in the lobby and I left wrinkled and very tired. The day desk clerk was friendly and concerned when I told him what had happened as was management when they called the next day to apologize. They are giving me a free night stay but I would have preferred a good night's sleep.
