We had a wonderful stay. The room was cozy and we felt very much at home. Delicious breakfast and lovely tea time. Thanks to Elan I am enjoying Paris tea.

We stayed the weekend, 08/24-26/18. We had the Iris Room, a big room on the first floor. Breakfast with the owners on the front porch was delightful. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. Leith Hall is conveniently located between the beach and the downtown. I recommend it.

We especially enjoyed the afternoon tea/lemonade and delicious desserts while chatting on the porch. The location is ideal: just a half block from the beach and two blocks from the center of town. The hosts are gracious and engaging. We also appreciated the authentic period decor. We had a lovely visit.

Great place with great customer service! Innkeepers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Fun to talk to! Great location and within walking distance of just about everything. Love it!

Every year we return. Everything there is perfect. Elan and Susan are wonderful in every way. I can sit and talk with Elan for hours. We just love it there.

Recently spent the weekend in Cape May at Leith Hall, it was an adorable B&B with a nice ocean view right out of our window! Susan and Elan were very welcoming and their homemade breakfasts/ tea time smacks were amazing! There was a mix-up on our end with the reservations prior to going, and it turned out that the reservation was never completed. After calling Elan and Susan to figure out what the mix up was, they were more than happy to offer us the last room they had available for that weekend and it was perfect! They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable with the room and in general as guests. Before we checked out, we started planning our second stay there for this upcoming spring/ fall! Can't wait to go back!

This is our 2nd stay at Leith Hall B&B and there are a number of pluses to this venue. The rooms are charming. The closeness to the Mall is exceptional. A half of a block to the beach is very convenient. The owners Susan & Elan are perfect for the setting. We really enjoyed our 1st stay and so we are back for another visit.

We were looking forward to a nice anniversary weekend at LH, and with about 24 hours before our arrival, we receive a phone call letting us know that our room was given to another guest. Very little effort was made by the staff to find alternate accommodations for us other than suggesting other inns in the area. Not one to ever leave a bad review, but how can one not in this case?!

Calming atmosphere with wonderful hosts, a clean and welcoming room, and the most wonderful food.

Leith Hall was in an amazing location, one block from ocean and only a few from the center of town. Everything was very clean, the owners were extremely nice and helpful, and the food was delicious!

My wife and I stayed at Leith Hall Bed & Breakfast this past weekend, during the "Sherlock Holmes Weekend" and had a great time. Our hosts, Elan & Susan, where the best and the food was excellent. I give it two thumbs-up!

My significant other and I stayed with Elan and Suzy over this past holiday weekend and it was FANTASTIC. The location could not have been better less than a block from the ocean and just a few from the shopping area. Elan and Suzy have been long time residents of Cape May their knowledge of the history was fascinating and their recommendations of what to see and do in Cape May were invaluable. Communal breakfast and afternoon tea gave us a chance to socialize with other our hosts as well as guests and made the whole experience so much more personal and enjoyable… will definitely return!

Leith Hall is well maintained and rooms are clean and tidy. Elan and Susan are gracious and welcoming hosts. Breakfasts are served on the front porch, hearty and delicious. Each day at 4PM, Elan takes pride in preparing scrumptious cakes and serving with ice tea and lemonade; along with engaging conversation. The days at the Leith Hall are relaxing and perfectly paced for a summer retreat that should not be missed. Accolades to the innkeepers for truly and amazing stay.

The moment we arrived, we knew we chose a welcoming and wonderful place! The rooms were perfect for all 11 of us to share during our Med school mini reunion. Rooms well appointed, carefully themed decorated, and immaculately clean! Afternoon tea was a delight with scrumptious cakes, cookies and refreshing lemonade and iced tea. Breakfast was not the usual boring fare, but a delicious medley of egg preparation, sausages, ham and mixed fresh fruits! Our hosts Susan and Elan were friendly, gracious and tolerated the joyous noise we as a group made! Would gladly return and highly recommend to anyone who would want to experience a relaxing and "a home away from home" feel when visiting Cape May!

My wife and I have been coming to Cape May for about 6 years, and this was our first stay at a B&B. I'm pretty sure we will never have to look for another. Leith Hall is conveniently located and includes perhaps the two friendliest innkeepers I've ever met. Suzie and Elan are courteous, professional, and their collective knowledge of Victorian culture and world travel are a treat to hear about during breakfast and afternoon tea. The entire building is adorned with authentic nineteenth-century Victorian decor. We stayed in the Turkish suite (an unexpected honeymoon surprise) which included a king bed, sitting area, fridge, and private bathroom. The room (and the whole building) was spotlessly clean. Incredible food as well. Don't look elsewhere — book Leith Hall the first chance you get!

A wonderful place to stay. A half block from the beach and a block from the shops, super friendly owners and staff, and superb breakfasts and snack time. I stayed with a friend in the Audubon suite which has 2 bedrooms, large livingroom, and a separate entrance at the end of the wrap around porch. It was so nicely decorated and homey, I will definitely be staying there again. I absolutely loved sitting on the rocking chairs at night while watching the horse and carriages go by. I would give more than five stars it was an option :)

Very Clean and the Host was very kind. Would recommend to others.

This was our first visit to Cape May. Leith Hall made the visit special. Loved the front porch and rocking chairs at night time. We would rock and enjoy a glass of complimentary sherry while we talked about the highlights of our day. We stayed in the Audubon suite. Comfortable room. One AC was a little loud at night. I agree with others that the location was convenient to both the shore and restaurant areas. The host at the inn and staff are all wonderful. The service to our room was great. We'd walk out for breakfast and the room would be tidied up by the time we got back! There seem to be many choices of B&B in Cape May. This would be on the short list to go back to.

Beautiful B and B, perfect location.

Location, location, location. I would say that the proximity to the beach and to Washington Street Mall are ideal, being able to see the beach from the front porch and hear the surf at night were a priority for me and this fit the bill nicely. Shops and restaurants were less than a thee minute walk away on Washington Street Mall. The most pleasant surprise was meeting our hosts, and enjoying their wonderful breakfasts and afternoon tea treats. Truly, the food was outstanding. Elan and Susan were a delight, I imagine that they enjoy their B&B just as much as their guests and it shows. I would not hesitate to stay at Leith Hall again, in fact it may have become my first choice for vacationing "down the shore".

Very charming and comfortable! Great location just a block or two to the beach in one direction and restaurants etc in the other. The inn keepers were helpful and very enjoyable to chat with over breakfast. We stayed in the Iris room which is huge and one the first floor (great for coming and going without bothering the other guests). The one draw back to this room though is that when everyone gathers for breakfast they are just outside the door. Having snooped into all of the lovely rooms, I think my choice next time will be the Turkish room.
