Sadly we will not be returning. This is the third year I stayed here. It was never in great condition but this year it was terrible. We payed a higher rate for an efficiency room and the furniture was in terrible condition. The drawers to the dresser wouldn't even close right. Another family member had a different room and there appeared to be mold and water damage on the paneling near the floor. The manager has a tendency to scream at guests about potential law suits and is very nasty. While we were there people got yelled at for putting up the umbrellas by the pool (which didn't stay up on their own and had to be tied to the pool fence in order to work) and being in the pool when it was drizzling (while it was sunny out and another staff member had just said to leave only if there is thunder or lightning). Someone questioned her and she threatened to make them leave the motel. The tables and chairs by the pool were dirty and the pool area was never cleaned. One table had moss growing out of it. The pool tiles were falling off and the pool had layers of green scum on the sides. After that issue was addressed she had a staff member scrub the pool and it was green for 3 days. Every day the pool was to open at 9 but they started cleaning it at 9 so everyone had to wait. She claimed that the city required the pool to close everyday at 6pm.
Second time staying in the Townhouse. Upkeep at the hotel is not good. The furniture in the rooms were falling apart since the last time we visited. The pool was a disgusting green color when we arrived, and once they fixed that, it was never open when it was supposed to be. I will never forget the incident when another families kids were about to get into the pool and the owner was screaming at the family to not get in the pool because it was being cleaned and they could be electrocuted. The gates weren’t locked and it was during the hours when the pool was supposed to be open, so it is horrifying to think what could have happened if the owner wasn’t there. We had no problems with the owner on our first visit, but this time, it was an unpleasant experience dealing with her. She at times was just outright rude to her guests. We have found a new location to stay for our trip next year, I encourage others to do the same.

We were given the corner room on the ground level that faced the parking lot for the hotel next door. The room had a musty odor to it, and was very dark. Although the place was clean, roomy, and the bathroom was recently updated, if you have allergies, this room would probably be an issue for you. Check in is from 2-6pm, so when were only given one key, and it was accidentally locked into the room, it took 3 people knocking on the office door and window at 8:45pm to get the owner to open up again. Why we weren't given two keys, I'm not sure. When we left the next morning at 10:30, the owner wasn't in the office. When we rang the bell, she seemed put out for helping us, stuck her head out and asked us what we wanted, and were told to just leave the keys to n the counter. If check out time is at 11am, I think the owner should be in the office until then, and not have an attitude when I was trying to check out. I was going to apologize for bothering her the night before, but not only did she not give me a chance to, she didn't deserve an apology after that experience!
