Always my go to place for my AC getaways. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, with many ammenities. The pool is always clean and cold. It is close to the boards, and many attractions. It is fantastic!

I took my family on a mini vacation to Atlantic City and booked at the Howard Johnson. I am truly happy I chose them. Less than 10 minutes to the beach and Boardwalk, right down the block. Nicely decorated, with an elevator and steps. Hotel staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Clean rooms and friendly housekeeping staff. Cute little pool with lounge chairs, deepest pool depth is 7 feet. Microwave in the vending and ice machine area, clean also. Refrigerator in rooms, and small coffee maker. Perry's cafe is attached to the hotel, and is delicious. Great price for the amount of food and the quality. Definitely recommend, and worth the money!

Awesome yet convenient. Close to the boardwalk and has a cute little pool. Only downfall is the hotel is connected to I guess an apartment building so if you're trying to relax in one of the lounge chairs you'll feel all of the water dripping from the A. C units… Quite annoying. But other than that well worth the price.

Great place to stay at. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is amazing. I love this hotel.

The size of the room was great 2 double beds for us and our daughter. Service was great, we always come here. Beds weren't/never hard when we come stay.

This was an excellent stay for me and my Husband we just needed a quite get away we're we could relax and we sure did the room was awesome and I will be back.

They need to do better! The ac didn’t work and the hinge to the TV broke so it was facing down to the ground. My husband had to stand it straight with the clothing iron. We spoke to front desk about the TV but he never sent anyone to fix it. The towels are so rough also. I rather dry myself with sand paper. It gets really noisy in the morning because housekeeping is so noisy in the halls. They were also doing construction so it added even more noise. Giving it two stars because the staff is nice and the bed was comfortable.

Very clean rooms, staff are very friendly, always enjoy my stay there. Eye recommend all my poker friends to stay there.

Small rooms. Good customer service. Decent prices. Good parking. Nearby food options (walking distance). Location 10 min away from the casinos. Look forward to booking there again!

My husband and I stayed at the Howard Johnson in February. Before booking I read a review saying that the hotel was great but their valet crashed the person's car. Of course it was 5 am and absolutely no parking in the self parking area. My husband and I we're so tired that we decided to hand over the keys to the valet driver. We also figured this wouldn't happen a second time. The next morning we check out and made our way to our car. We noticed a scratch and chipped paint on the left side of our bumper. Our car was parked near a large pillar which had a scratch and paint on the pillar as well. We went back to the front desk to give our complaint but the gentlemen's first response was that it was not one of his guy. Even with the proof he denied it and said that the car was crashed somewhere else. The gentleman ended up changing his mind and saying that it was their fault after we called the police and filed a report. The hotel will be responsible for the damages.

It's ok for the price, just a bit old. Otherwise not a bad place to crash for a quick nap.

Let me start by saying they are very understanding. I went down to do a job in the am. This guy is a friend of a friends. We got there 45mins latter dude left because he couldn't watch his show. And he's been out of the room the whole 45. Besides to slam down 3 beers in 1.0 sec. He left. I locked the door. Bolt locked lol. Call a friend in the am he was still home when I called back at lunch. Hour away he was there 2 hours latter. Good Friends. The Howard did not throw me out on Picific Ave. Thank You Howard Johnson!

Howard Johnson is a wonderful Hotel this Dave is incredibly sweet the accommodations are extremely clean lots of fun for the whole family plenty of amenities around from shopping arcades to casinos.

One of the best Hotels in Atlantic City for it's prices really great staff and housekeeping! Front desk clerk Carl was very nice and helpfull to us!

It's clean & service was very nice. Rooms were comfy. Price was great. But the neighborhood was very risky. We drove to the boardwalk at nite that was 1 block away & paided for parking. Drunks, drugs & hookers.

This was ok I side is good but outside around the place I didn't like if they could stop peoples from hanging out that not i. The hotel it would be better anf feel safer.

Perfectly serviceable hotel for a decent price within walking distance of the Boardwalk. It has a weird motel-like layout for some rooms, so people kept walking by the window. Also, the pool was closed : (

Its dangerous & ghetto right outside the front door. Located across the street from drug dealers & prostitutes. I will n. E. V. E. R stay there again! bathrooms were terrible! they never came to clean our room. We came back from being out all day and the beds were not made etc. Garbage not empty. They brought the sheets to us and we had to change them ourselves! DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL OR ANY OTHER ONES IN THAT AREA. Stay at a hotel directly on the boardwalk.

Staff was very helpful. We arrived 4 hours early and were accommodated with all our needs. Mike was awesome at the front desk and Marco was also very helpful in explaining the parking and had great conversation. Will definitely stay here again. Perrys Cafe next door to the hotel is a phenomenal place for breakfast.

The hotel itself was good. Clean, mostly quiet when expected, 5 min walk to the boardwalk/beach. The staff was very prompt and tended to our few needs and wants. The restaurant attached, while only open 7-4, was great. We ate breakfast there all 3 days! My only complaint is the area it's located is a little questionable at times (mostly after dark).

Cheap good hotel with pool.

Location was awful. Upon check in some drunk guy came in and shattered a liquor bottle on the main entrance door.

The hotel was 1 block from center Atlantic city. The rooms are very spacious and clean & the service was outstanding.

I really enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere was great and staff friendly.

Fair prices, decent rooms, good service. Transit to convention center is close by.

Well for starters my first problem was not that major but for the weekend being before memorial day I would have expected them to be prepared for a rush of people and I could say they weren't as prepared because when we got there at 4 and our appointment or time of entry should have been 3 our room was still not prepared and cleaned, but luckily they had extra space and moved us into another room. Other than that the people themselves were very nice and helpful we were able to call the front desk to ask for the Wi-Fi password with no big ordeal like other hotels.

Clean hotel for low price. Nice restaurant attached for breakfast and lunch. Few amenities but expected for what you pay. Great for a bed to sleep in when planning to spend most your time out enjoying AC.

We still here Valentine's Weekend Waking up. My husband find a small bug crawling up on the bed, thank god for white sheets The breakfast was supposedly be included, it's not.

My hubby and I spent our birthday weekend there it was a great pleasure nice friendly and clean.

I took my girlfriend there for a Birthday week vacation, and it wasn't as bad as these review's say it is. Yeah, the area it's located in is a bit in the hood side… but it's only 3 blocks away from the Boardwalk. It doesn't look like a place you're gonna get shot at in, so just make sure you ride your car if you're gonna be out past 8pm. As far as the hotel goes, its nice. You can see it was redone. The ppl that work there were helpful and nice. The pool was nice, and the rooms were clean. Good stay if you can't afford too much.

Called these place 2 months early to make a reservation for a holiday ended up talking to the manager that said I was going to be paying $395 with taxes included when I got there I ended up paying $450. Our TV wasn't working. Awful.

Worst experience EVER! This place stinks! The beds are hard The employees here don't care about anything. I will not recommend this to anyone.

We stayed recently with our 2 children and had a great experience. Hotel very clean and all staff extremely nice. Perry's Cafe was delicious. We plan to stay again when we visit the shore during the summer.

Okay my first time I ever went to atlantic city and I go to this hotel after I went to the trump taj mahal. The room is like any other room, clean sheets and bedding but the view outside is not that of the sea but homeless people doing drug exchanges across the street at a church. The worst part about this hotel is that my debit card numbers got stolen. The maids who work there goes through your stuff and steal from you. I didn't find out until I got home but I would not recommend this hotel for anybody.

With only have refrigerator and microwave.

I stayed at this hotel because it was the only one that had available rooms on 8/31/2013, I won't recommend to anybody to stay there,, smell very bad, the hallway it is nasty, the rooms are in very bad shape,, the blankets have holes,,, the TV had a hole and the remote control did not work,,, it is hard to sleep because the noise of people walking the hallways,,, bad bad bad.

I would recommend this place and I will probably go back again to stay. In the ghetto but it's not the hotel fault the whole area is bad now in AC. But the staff was great and helpful, polite too! lol. Some places of the hotel smelled a little and there was broken glass on the last floor that did get clean up for two days. Why I would recommend this hotel I spent 1, 500 for 4 days in a casino hotel and it was the same thing only smaller and I didn't have a washer and dyer big deal this place has a mat on the same block. It's a few blocks away from the boardwalk. Oh yeah there Wi-Fi does work everywhere in the hotel and it goes off in bad weather. Avg. Of 65 dollars a night you can't beat this value oh yeah there other hotel in AC that are cheaper don't bother this is the best value.

First thing that went through my head when I arrived was the location, it was in a Ghetto area full of hookers and Shemales. When I parked my car, I was greeted by 2 employees that told me to surrender the key to my car so they can move it if needed. I found it very sketchy to leave my key with a stranger; even more sketchy when I saw signs that read "We are not responsible for theft or damage to any vehicle". Lucky for me, a spot where they didnt have to move my car got free so I parked there. When parking my car, I saw how rough the drivers were to the cars (reving the engine, driving extremely close to the pillars or walls. ) The lobby was clean and presentable but thats about it, the person on duty at the time pretended not to understand us at times when I asked for a extra blanket from the desk but his co-worker came in and gave me one. I didnt notice while I was sleeping that the blanket had a huge Band Aid on it. Very grosse. The restaurant in the lobby is total garbage. Food didnt taste like anything at all and had to puke after eating a regular breakfast. Not worth the price at all (Hotwire price).

The service was very, very bad. This is a real rubbish bin.
