Bill was great last year making our wedding a dream during the pandemic. Loved it so much came back for our first anniversary and they surprised us with champagne and chocolate in our room. This place will always be special to us.

My husband and I went there for our honeymoon. We had a great time so relaxing and cozy. Even tho it was summer time we had the fire place going. We will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time at the Lighthouse Inn! The staff was very helpful and the location was great. The breakfast is very good—they have a full breakfast, not just bagels and cereal. The dinner was great. They have a lot of choices on the menu, and again, the staff is very friendly. Only two negative things I noticed—and I’m nitpicking—they seem a bit understaffed (possibly due to COVID), and I think they could do a better job on maintaining the beaches. It seems that they move seaweed from the beach and pile it next to the resort, which can smell like sewage or something rotten. Not the end of the world, but it’s definitely noticeable and would be an easy fix.

Spent our honeymoon there, this past weekend. Beautiful place, cozy cottages… right on the ocean. The staff is all very nice. The town of West Dennis is cute with lots of cool places to shop and eat. We loved our time at LightHouse Inn and hope to visit again, perhaps for our anniversary.

We just had the best time celebrating jeffs birthday this past weekend! So much to do (like catching fish). Relaxing at the firepit at the ocean. Walking the beach. We had a great family dinner at the Lighthouse Inn last night. There were 11 adults, 6 children & 2 infants. Everything from seating to service & food was excellent. The staff & especially our server, Shannon, were awesome. I highly recommend this venue for a small or large gathering. We sat outside overlooking Nantucket Sound, it was a beautiful setting. Thank you for making the night special for us.

UPDATE: my wife and I made reservations and decided to give the lighthouse Inn another try. What an amazing difference and experience. We walked along the beach on a beautiful evening with setting sun and then made our way to the dining room for dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the stuffed sole which she tells me was the best she ever had. I ordered a lobster roll which was humongous, (see picture), that is actually half of what I started with! I almost couldn't finish all the lobster, but managed by not having the roll. My wife insisted on dessert so I chose to have ice cream; it was creamy, like homemade. We left feeling very full and talking about what we'd try next time. Highly recommend First visit: My wife and I decided to try the restaurant, with beautiful views and ratings it sounded good. We chose to dine outside, which was near the beach, a great view, but there was a smell from the low tide, however, we decided to stay put. My understanding is there has been a large investment in the development of this waterfront and jetties, with more to do this fall. The restaurant dining room, deck and beach front dining are all fabulous. I'd say, the beach front dining is unique to any dining experience we've had anywhere on cape cod. Though not a great first experience, we plan to go back during high tide and give it another try.

We have stayed at the Lighthouse Inn for 18 summers. Each and every room or cottage has been wonderful. When our daughters were babies, we stayed in the Lookout. When they got older, we had a one bedroom, two queen bed cottage. Older still and they wanted their own bedroom. Once we got our calendars wrong and arrived a week early. They squished us in and we had an extra long vacation. There is a great restaurant on site, and a FULL breakfast is included with your stay. There is a pool, beach, tennis courts, and a little putt-putt mini golf. Pat and Greg Stone are excellent hosts. They have become close family friends over the years.

Service was ok. Appetizer which was artichoke dip was good but was not hot only slightly warm. My Wife's chowder was not warm either. My main meal was a generous portion. Very nice view and beautiful restaurant inside. They gave us a tour of the lighthouse which was very interesting. Not sure I would come back other restaurants in the area I would try first.

Nothing went right. We sat and waited for a server to take a drink order for about 15 minutes. We sat another 15, before asking for a menu because we never got any. I walked up to service bar to pick up our drinks that were sitting there for over 20 minutes (our server walked by them several times). Server came over to apologize that he never brought us our drinks and that we had to get them, explaining he was really busy. Six tables in his area were empty, he had three two tops and one 5 top. The couple next to us placed their order but left after waiting 45 minutes without being asked about more beverages or given any bread. They wished us luck. After about 45 minutes we asked the host if we could at least have some bread, she brought us bread with frozen butter pats. We got our meal about an hour after we ordered it. My friend asked for a second drink, it never came. The whole time we watched in awe, many other customers getting frustrated with the wait, bill errors and meal errors. We, too, had a bill error on top of everything. It was a disaster dinner. Service was horrendous, food just ok. I would never return, and will encourage others to dine in one of the Cape's other fine establishments.

Gorgeous view of the ocean from just about everywhere on the property. Outstanding service not only at the restaurant but from every single employee you meet. Well maintained. It has been there since 1938. Lots of history. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I had some small issues that were quickly and professionally resolved by the Manager Dana MIller. Beautiful property, excellent food and lovely views of the ocean. I did not stay at the inn, but was there for a function. Nice old school place with beach access and a nice view of the ocean. Spacious event rooms and a playground for the kids!

My husband and I got married at The Lighthouse Inn on Saturday June 16, 2018. We had both our ceremony and reception at the LHI, and the entire day could not have been more perfect. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the view of the ocean during our ceremony was stunning. Many of our guests had never been to Cape Cod before and they were all so impressed with the venue and scenery. Everything from the food, to the service, to the room accommodations was outstanding. Bill Sherman, the Food and Beverage Manager at the LHI (although he does much more than that), is very responsive to calls and emails and is also very attentive to detail. He made sure that everything my husband and I envisioned on our special day was fulfilled. All of the servers and staff throughout the weekend were very nice and attentive as well. I literally have nothing to complain about, which can be unusual for a bride! One "perk" that the LHI provides is that it offers many on-site rooms and cottages for guests to stay in throughout the weekend. This was not only convenient for guests with small children and mobility challenges, but it also provided a huge sense of relief knowing that people would not be drinking and driving, since they only had to walk a few yards to their rooms from the reception site. (There is also a playground and a swimming pool that guests can use throughout their stay. ) I would recommend reserving rooms early on, though, as they do sell out fairly quickly.

Comfortable easy place to stay and have fun. You can bring extended family and friends.

We attended a weekend wedding in June, 2018 at LI and stayed at a cottage there with our daughters for two nights. It is a perfect venue for a wedding, reunion, or any celebration function. What a beautiful spot and amazing view — right on the water of the West Dennis beach. This resort has everything right on its compound… tennis, an outdoor heated pool, playground, and the beach to swim and walk. There is free Wi-Fi, and a small evening bar (alcoholic drinks). You can also take a little tour of the Lighthouse, one of the first revolving ones built. The kids will enjoy that. In addition to enjoying the inn, my husband and I ventured up to Provincetown for some gallery looking, shopping and lunch. Wonderful and only an hour's drive. We ate at the inn and used the buffet offered for breakfast (it was very good) and sat outside overlooking the water. We cannot speak to dinners there because of the wedding dinner, but it, too, was good for a dinner of a large party. I would have given the resort five stars but for the cottage general furnishings and a slight check in problem. Note: beds were comfortable and we slept well. But we had a cottage that needed newer furnishings. We had 4 adults and there really was not enough comfortable seating for all of us inside. The carpeting and couch/chair needs upgrading. I feel that the living room was very small and management should brick off the fireplace which was in an odd spot, add more seating, and bracket the TV up on the wall.

My wife and I had an awesome dinner and a personal tour right up to the lamp at the top of the lighthouse by owner Greg Stone as they celebrated their 80th year in business! Although Greg is far from 80 years old, he gave us a great history of his grandparents and parents operating the inn, how he and his 4 siblings grew up in the basement and also how he was able to get the lamp relit as a registered lighthouse in 1989 after it went out of service in 1917. It is the only privately owned lighthouse operating in the whole country. You can't beat the food, the service or the view! Thank you Greg for a wonderful evening!

The inn has a nice playground along with tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts. The breakfast was quite good, several buffet options and made to order items. Make sure you understand the charges on your bill before leaving. I had one issue where I was charged extra money for taxes that should have been included in the price of the reservation. The hotel office cleared that up quickly and refunded the money. Overall, service was great and I enjoyed my stay.

There's shuffleboard, tennis, basketball, and even putt-putt on the property. The putt-putt is only 9 holes and pretty shabby, but it's there! There is also a swimming pool if you don't like swimming in the ocean. And, most importantly, the staff is friendly and accommodating.

This is the second year we have chosen the Lighthouse Inn for our annual extended family dinner, and we will definitely keep coming back! Our server, Chris, was fantastic; Incredibly friendly and on top of everything. The outdoor seating right on the water is great, and the environment family friendly (our first year dining out with a family member under one year! ) The food was delicious, and we had no complaints. I would recommend the surf over the turf… the clam chowder is definitely tops, too. Just a great no frills, no fuss, enjoyable dining experience with a relaxing atmosphere.

Great place, perfect family destination. Right on the beach, great variety of cabins, everything you could want. Except. It is aging, and the staff is not always on the ball. For example, the carpets on the room have unfortunately reached the stage of gross, but otherwise rooms are fine. And you are forever needing to ask for extra towels because they only give a room two. You just have to come with the right expectations and there is not a more enjoyable place to have a family vacation at on the whole cape.

My daugther enjoyed a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue, wait staff were great and the food very good. It was a wonderful event. However, a number of our wedding guests experienced errors with their bills, including myself. The real problem occurred when the manager was instantly very rude when I tried to discuss it. The was no polite explanation, just an immediate verbal attack. Very disappointing. I had wanted to come back, most likely will not.

What a shame, a beautiful location with expensive, awful food. The Baked Stuff Shrimp consisted of five shrimp cocktail covered in a soggy mush.

Great place to stay! Right on the water with a great restaurant. They also have a free shuffle board court thats fun to play on. The only downside is that their complimentary Wi-Fi is slow.

Only went to the restaurant, but even though a wedding was going on, our table still got excellent service. Good food with a lot of options. There was fog the night we went and the smell of the ocean was very pungent which wafted into the restaurant which lowered our experience.

What a beautiful location for a wedding! The reception was handled well w/different locations for each part of the event throughout the night. The cabins are spacious and very "Cape quaint". A lovely place! The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. Just great!

I was disappointed last year but wanted to go back because it's s such a great spot. I ordered sword fish and got a piece of fish that fit in the palm of my hand and I never had sword that was sliced thin… portion was insulting… Other family members got the the fish quesadilla … sparse cod with orange cheese that was thrown in a microwave… also horrible beer selection… same old same olds… will never go back. Great spot very clean but the food just was sub-par for such a nice place.

Well first of all we booked our reservation on booking. Com. When we arrived we were not in the system at all. The women said no problem and checked us in along with charging my cc. We moved on to our cottage unloaded and sat outside by the beach and enjoyed the views and just relaxed. We ordered from the restaurant a couple hot dogs and a burger which came with fries and a pickel plus soda and ice tea. All the food was cold and not cooked all the way the cost was 30 — what a waste. We went out for dinner and came back for pie and coffee. We both ordered the blueberri pie which consisted of all blueberries and a thumbnail of crust! gross is all I can say, not worth the 30 — the staff was very friendly. The stay over included a free breakfeast! we got up the next day had our breakfeast which was pretty good. The server came to our table and asked for our room# she came back and said we were not on the list! again we had to tell them we were. Not quite sure why the confusion? the overall feeling my wife and I got is yes this is a nice place to bring your family plenty of things to do but as far as the food quality not so sure!

Food and room were absolutely nothing special. Wi-Fi and cell coverage very lackluster. Ground are not well kept and the room furnishings are from the 90s. Not worth the money, would not stay again.

My child complained about sleeping in "white crusty stuff" on our bed. I noticed what appeared to be dry semen on one of our pillows, as well. However, it wasn't until morning that she told me about the mess on her side of the bed. I complained to the staff that evening and they wanted us to sleep in it again until the next morning — when it was convenient for them to change the sheets. Uggghhhh! They were rude and didn't care at all about us or our comfort. I had to complain and fight with staff 5 times before we were given clean sheets and 7 times before they said "I'm sorry".

A great mid cape value! The staff is nice the facilities are good and its all by the ocean. Its not super high end but nothing is bad quality. My only complaint was the weak Wi-Fi.

Just returned home from a weekend at the Lighthouse Inn… what a wonderful time. It is in an absolutely gorgeous location. The place is beautiful and does bring you back to another time. The grounds are well kept, the beach was clean, pool, etc… The staff was very friendly and our room in the Lookout was huge. Very modern inside, king and queen size bed, fridge, two sinks, two tables. We loved it! Definitely returning next year with the children and will probably rent one of the cottages. I recommend this place wholeheartedly… I wish I was still there!
