This was a really nice hostel. The service was through the roof. The hostel has a recreational room with a Nintendo console and a foosball table, with a ramp leading to the rooms. The bathrooms are shared with the other guests, as it is a hostel. The breakfast is quite small, but they have a kitchen to cook in. There is an amazing view of the Yellowstone River from outside. A common room is right next to the dining room. You can talk to other guests, which I enjoyed very much.

Amazing experience here! A lovely family is running this place. A games room, kitchen and breakfast is included. Clean, location and views make this a perfect place to stay.

The owner is very nice and provides toast, coffee, and tea in the mornings. The rooms are cute and cozy. There is a gameroom/common room. The only thing a little different is that the showers and restrooms are shared with the other people in the building. There are maybe only ten rooms and this didn't seem to be an issue for me or the other guests. I never once had to wait for the bathroom. There is also a nice porch off of the main building you can eat out on when the weather is nice. It faces the river, which is maybe 100 yards away.

We booked this last minute and were unsure of what to expect, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, the facilities are clean and well maintained, but the location makes it perfect. It's 10 minutes north of Gardiner on a breathtaking plot of land that is right on the river. Spending the evenings on the lawn or porch watching the sunset over the river and mountains are incredibly relaxing and calming. I highly recommend and would stay here again!

Fantastic hostel and campsite! Charming and friendly staff with a comfortable environment that makes you feel like you never could leave. They have everything here — and are so generous with their space. I appreciated how clean everything was including their showers, kitchen and community rooms. We had a great spot for our tent overlooking the yellowstone river. This place is perfect for any age traveler (s). Staff is great with knowledge about local trails (that are beautiful! ) and recommending fun things to do no matter what experience youre looking for in Montana. You don't even need to go to Yellowstone, but is only 10 mins away!

A nice hostel experience in the US. We have a room for four: a bunk and a full. Not much room for anything else, but that's not why you're here, right. The lodge has a kitchen that guests can use, (they do their own dishes) as well as a gad grill that is in ROUGH shape. There's also a garage that is converted to a game room with a ping pong table and a Super NES with Super Mario World and Super Tecmo Bowl. The views are amazing, but that doesn't really matter because you're here for Yellowstone, right?

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. It's a little weird not having your own bathroom but it worked and they have a gaming garage.

Stayed for two nights in the female dorm room. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms were completely clean and comfortable. Lodge staff were wonderful and other guests friendly and interesting. Highly recommended.

North Yellowstone hostel was great! The staff was personable, helpful, and down to earth. Everything was clean and the other guests were nice. We even made new friends.

We had a very nice stay here during our trip to Yellowstone. The staff is super nice and accommodating. They went out of their way to welcome us and help us settle in. The hotel is just 15 min north of the north entrance to the park and made it very convenient to go to mammoth hot springs and tower falls. The rate was very reasonable. We would gladly stay here again!

We had the most wonderful stay the hostel. My wife and I I didn't know what to expect from the community-based experience, but it was fantastic! The river was beautiful and peaceful and right next to the hostel, we enjoyed eating and drinking next to it and socializing with the other friendly hostel participants. But most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming we loved them! There was a very nice Community Kitchen with some spices and condiments to boot. The room was really just a bed since there was a shared restroom, but it was clean and comfy. We had a fantastic stay and recommend it to anyone, we surely will stay there again when in the area!

My stay at the hostel was very nice. The surrounding area is beautiful and they provide lots of space to relax. They also provided a lot of amenities and had a very friendly staff. Definitely the best bang for your buck in Gardiner.

This is the cleanest hostel I've ever been to. It doesn't have that typical 'hostel' smell, and it has lovely open areas, an airy lounge, a sunlit kitchen, and great dining tables. I camped so I can't comment on the rooms, but the bathrooms were beautiful stone and tile and were CLEAN and WARM! I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful and cosy place. Nice hosts. Have some board games cards to play and fully equipped awesome kitchen.

It's a hostel, but it's a good one — rooms are nice, surroundings are pretty. Still some 10-12 miles from Yellowstone North entrance though. Breakfast is a joke.

I lived here with my friend yesterday. It is a really nice quiet place. There are 4 beds, heater, fan and refrigerator in the room. I feel like living in college dorm. The bathrooms shared by guests are near to the room. I think bathrooms are not convenient cuz u need to wait while others showering, it's very cold at night. U may live with strangers. Hotel offers some breakfast. By the way, don't forget to take photos near living room in the morning. There is a small yard with benches. The landscape is beautiful!

I stopped to get a drink at the bar and just check out the atmosphere. Great looking place. Staff very friendly even considering how many people come through there. Anywhere in that area the scenery is spectacular.
