This is an awesome hotel in Bozeman! The room was spacious and had everything we needed. My kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. Highly recommended!

The motel is in the heart of Bozeman. Proximity to multiple restaurants within walking distance. The concierge staff is very friendly. They make you feel welcomed. The room itself is very spacious. Comes with a sizeable refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. It is an old motel hence the room has that antique-like look for lack of a better word. Surprisingly it was very quiet despite my room facing the main road. I sincerely thought it was gonna be noisy coz I can't stand noise. I like quiet. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast of grab and go except they provided variety of different stuff. 24hr coffee or you can make your own in your room with your keurig. No hotel lotion provided so bring your own. The only thing that was disappointing but couldn't be helped was the price. I was told that being summer seasons and with a lot of happenings in the city, the prices are pretty high. However, the price issue was with ALL Bozeman hotels. So plan accordingly. All in all it was an okay stay for me. I rested very well.

First, the motel is beautiful and everyone is so friendly! The indoor pool, eucalyptus steam room, jacuzzi, sauna and lovely outdoor seating sealed the deal! Would recommend the great little place to stay right in Bozeman!

Absolutely charming! It did take some experimenting to get the room to the right temperature, but finally got the combination right.

The best Motel I have EVER stayed at! On our trip to Yellowstone last week out of the 4 places we stayed in this one by far was the best beating Canyon Lodge by a land slide! A soft bed and friendly staff means everything when you are spending nights away from home.

Beautiful hotel with a very nice lobby; complete with a small general store and coffee bar. We stayed here for my daughter's bachelorette party. We especially enjoyed the eucalyptus steam room and jet style shower. There was a small gym but we didn't go there. There was also a sauna but it was under construction. The room was nice and the beds were very comfy but it was not well lit because there were missing light bulbs in the lamps.

Dated but clean. Nice bed. Got stuck in room by elevator. Noisy room, sliding glass motel style door opens to concrete wall, cavern like with no light. Apparently all booked because of Sweet Pea Festival. Desk was apathetic on my complaint.

Love this place! Retro and untouched by time. It has character and charm unlike a new build. Very comfortable and love the DirecTV. Will definitely stay again.

I usually don't write reviews unless something is really good or really bad. In this case, unfortunately, it was the latter. One of the two bed's sheets and bedspread smelled like urine, which is really disgusting. I contacted the front desk and Nathan took the offensive sheets and bedspread away, agreeing that they smelled. It was late, I was tired and everything else was sold out, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. In the morning, the front desk said they would "investigate". Avoid this hotel.

-Steam room open until 10:30 pm -Pool and hot tub currently under renovation The eucalyptus steam room cleansed my soul. A very nice place with friendly staff and character. Breakfast was served from 5:30 or so until 10:00. Rooms were quite nice.

I loved my stay here so much we extended and extra two nights. This place is randomly fancy. They have a fancy spa area downstairs with a lovely eucalyptus steam room and are working on finishing their pool and hot tub and whatever a rainbow trout pond is (I’ll come back next year to investigate). The room was clean, beds were comfy, water pressure great, and you don’t hear noise from the busy street outside. You do get a view of the mountains which is lovely. Staff was nice and helpful. A bit dated but its quirky works for me fine. My only real knock is the beds were soft. I like firm mattresses so it was a bit more noticeable for me. Staff was great and location a little noisy but very handy.

Very clean and friendly workers! If I had to stay in a hotel, I'd choose the Lewis and Clark.

We stop here a couple times a year on our way to North Dakota. The rooms are clean pets are allowed and the staff are professional. Thank you Lewis and Clark Motel for being a safe haven between Oregon and North Dakota.

Can't beat the location. Beds were comfortable. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Reallllly time to freshen up the rooms… the carpet was very gross, everything just very very dated and the furniture was stained. Gross.

A wonderful place to stay! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. The lobby was welcoming and warm, not sterile like so many others. Truly enjoyed our stay there!

This trip to Montana at came to visit friends, not stay in a luxurious spa resort. Lewis and Clark is just fine. Staff is very friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are dated but clean. Beds are comfortable. HVAC works great. I would stay here again. I'd give them 5 stars if the rooms were a bit more updated and if housecleaning did a bit more thorough job. All in all, I like this place.

Just wish there was a real breakfast. Other than that, the people were great and the room was nice. Would stay again!

We loved this motel. It is not dingy and it is very nice. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Lots of personality.

It's a cheap place to stay with clean rooms and good service. Staff was accommodating, and while it's not the newest, it is close to downtown, the high school and college.

My parents were staying at the motel while visiting me in town, and I spent some time in the room with them. The room was very nice, they especially liked the wicker bench outside where they could drink their tea in the morning and watch "the town wake up. " They mentioned that the bed was incredibly comfortable, and while they often have a difficult time sleeping on vacation, they slept like logs in this motel. They spoke highly of the eucalyptus sauna, although they mentioned that the eucalyptus setting was very strong. Sauna users are able to control the eucalyptus setting, and they recommend turning it on while preheating the sauna, and turning it off when you get in. The lobby was very nice, and there was a carafe of water that was infused with lemon and mint, which was incredibly refreshing. I recommended the motel to them based off of location, it is within walking distance to my apartment and downtown, and after visiting them in the motel, I would confidently continue to recommend the Lewis and Clark not only based on location, but because it is a very nice motel all around.

Nice beds. Daily Wine tastings. Fresh fruit for breakfast "not just apples and oranges". In all honesty too many good things to list. And all at a very affordable price. A+++

Super cool place. I loved the lobby and the home made touches, like banana bread for breakfast. Pool is being renovated, and I think once it's open it's going to be amazing. Only downside is that the doors are loud when people are entering and leaving their rooms.

It's in a great location on the main highway. It has a fun breakfast with banana bread, muffins, other breads, yogurt, granola, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. This location also has dog friendly rooms which is why we chose it. The carpet in our room was pretty old and dirty/worn, some of the furniture had stains. But overall it was decent. I'd stay again. It could be that their pet friendly rooms aren't updated. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Older style rooms, very small bathroom, main room is average for a hotel. The beds are comfortable. Old wooden finishes and fixtures. Room was clean and bright, but the shower drained very slowly. TV not centered in room so one bed is much farther from the screen. Nice to stay right in downtown Bozeman.

After I read some of the reviews for this motel I was a little concerned, but it being the only one with vacancy in our budget, we booked a room. It is spacious and very clean. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the carpet but the bathroom was slick and span and there was nothing wrong with the carpet. The beds were very comfortable and every thing was as clean as could be. It is a little dated, but didn't affect our experience here. Breakfast was delicious in the lobby, and the old fashioned music went with the theme well. The only thing that unpleasant, was that there is a university near and on a Saturday night at 11 o'clock it was full of college kids making noise and having fun, but you couldn't hear too much once you got in your room.

My wife and I came into Bozeman about 9:00 pm without a motel reservation. This motel was the only place we could find a room. All the other motels were full. After being on the road for 12 hours we didn't want to go any further to look for a room. Mistake. This motel is the most disgusting motel I've ever seen. You step into the elevator and you think you're in a high class establishment. The walls and ceiling are all mirror's. Step out into the corridor and the carpet is filthy. The carpet in the room is so nasty I wouldn't take my socks off. A small dirty refrigerator, drapes at the sliding glass door hanging off the hooks. do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Quite Comda and a breakfast.

After having to cut our camping trip short because of a pesky car accident we drove from Yellowstone National Park to Bozeman. When we got there it was a little difficult to get a hotel/motel as it was enrolment time for University. We came across the Lewis and Clark Motel who lucky for us had a room we could stay in. Arrival was at 9.30pm Sunday. We were tired and hungry. The young lady that checked us in made us very welcome and went out of her way to help. It was very welcoming and warm. All the people that work there are the same, efficient and helpful. The foyer feels like home, there were snacks and cucumber water on a table for guests and a glass of wine if wanted. Breakfast is included, a buffet of cereal, yoghurt and homemade banana and assorted breads. There is a wonderful stainless steel, mirrored lift, a steam room and a spa. They are building a pool and restaurant also. The room we stayed in was large and well renovated. It is a few blocks from the main action in the town. This is a family owned and run business. It was designed and built by William J. Sebena and is run by his daughter. They have shuttle that can pick you up and deliver you back to the airport for a small fee.

Very friendly staff, locally owned. It is within walking distance of the university and the downtown area (amount 10-15 minute walk for both). They have a decent breakfast, coffee and tea available all day and complimentary wine tastings in the evening. My bed was was a little soft for my taste, but it was comfortable and the room was clean.

Loved staying here. Fantastic service and a very nice room (I was in a newly renovated room with a heated bathroom floor and a flatscreen). A well done continental-type breakfast and the spa were added bonuses.

Great location for downtown. Awesome breakfast, great new spa, and really friendly and helpful staff. The beds were a little soft for my liking. It's an old motel so it comes with the creaks and noises of loud guests partaking in downtown drinking festivities. The room was very clean and came with a " sanitized " TV remote. I would stay here again if I didn't have a bottom level room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lewis and Clark Hotel. We went to Bozeman without having reservations and were having a difficult time finding a hotel within downtown. Lewis and Clark had a room for a reasonable price. We chose the "standard" room which meant it had not been updated. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I did get warm when sleeping but the air conditioner was too loud to have on while sleeping.

Great location for skiing in Bozeman and big sky. Fantastic and friendly staff with comfortable rooms. A unique hotel with character that's hard to find in most chains.

Spent a total of 3 nights trip before and after a trip to Yellowstone. Really liked the location of this place, nice walking proximity to downtown, convenient laundromat across the street, several restaurant options and adjacent grocery store. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was fairly direct and informative. They offer a fairly pleasant breakfast and afternoon wine/cheese. The Good — It's a clean place, with a nicely updated retro theme. In particular the lobby has a ton of eye candy to examine and books to read. The amenities — breakfast, afternoon snacks and huckleberry ice cream sandwiches. The price and location were wonderful. The Rooms have plenty of space and a refrigerator. I feel that the staff were helpful with granting requests. The Bad — The corner location serves as a shortcut for the locals. This isn't a problem most of the time. However on the weekends, people cut through the parking lot until A. M. One late night featured a shouting match between 2 individuals. Apart from that isolated incident, the nights were tranquil. However, I wouldn't keep ANY items in the car. The Indifferent — Sad to say that I didn't try the pool or steam room. The time there was short, but that gives a reason to return.

I had my credit card number used at this hotel in October 2014 and I had not stayed at this hotel in over a year. It was charged and the manager could not seem to find the charge anywhere. The bank is now dealing with this issue and the manager has called and threatened to file a slander charge on me for this review. She now wants to "figure the fraudulent charges out" after this review. She wasn't to concerned about it until she found this review. Be very careful. Your credit card information is not safe with this hotel. Better off to stay somewhere else and not have to cancel cards, deal with fraud department, and get threatening phone calls from the manager from her personal cell phone. Watch your credit card statement very closely after staying here! Manager is very unprofessional and uses threats on her personal cell phone to try and get you to change your review. Ill let the bank and fraud department deal with you and your dishonest, unprofessional, threatening, behavior. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone after the threatening phone calls from the manager "Lisa", fraudulent charges, and extremely unprofessional behavior. Unfortunately this issue could have been resolved before this review was even published with professional behavior and non-threatening phone calls from the manager. If you have ever stayed here, watch your credit card and bank statements closely.

LOVED my experience here. At first glance the rooms were mediocre — nothing special — but after I spent time there I noticed that rather than invest in useless decorative art for the walls inside the rooms, they instead invested in the coziest, most comfortable mattresses and bedding. It was THE BEST sleep I've ever had. It's clear they also invest in their people. The service was fantastic, the staff were friendly — we were even welcomed with complimentary wine and freshly made baked huckleberry brie. Not to mention the continental breakfast in the morning was FAR better than any hotel I've stayed in before. It's a quaint, unique little hotel and I'd stay here over the Sheraton or the Marriott any day. Loved, loved, loved it.
