I had no problem with the staff or the cleanliness of the room. Check in was relatively easy, the front desk lady was nice & friendly. My only issues were 1. The non-smoking room had a slight aroma of "jazz cabbage" (, I love that phrase) so that was a fun conversation w/my 7 year old and 2. Other guests (I think they were guests, they were hanging out in the parking lot) were rather loud & boisterous. In their defense, it was a Saturday night so understandable.

My stay was awesome! Ashley the clerk that checked me in was awesome and friendly and very helpful. The room was great. My only negative thing is that the toilet kept running so I just closed the bathroom door so I couldn't hear it. I choose to stay at Motel 6 rather than those fancy motels and hotels because they treat you right.

I'm disabled and have implant inside me I literally have drag myself up and downstairs to get to the room they didn't have any other rooms available and they felt so bad they brought me a whole bag of ice. They made me feel wanted and to bring me something was so very nice of them.

The manager basically told me I cannot get a refund despite the fact that literally the TV turn on and off all night long housekeeping came to my room 3 times starting at 10:40 I got in very late from work and trying to get sleep was not possible. The only person that was helpful was the security guard.

Clean serviced rooms. Location is perfect and well placed for waking distance to shops and food. 2 thumbs up!

I have stayed frequently at Motel 6 because of their pet policy, and am acquainted with if not exactly satisfied by the amenities. My partner always appreciates a bathtub, which this hotel had. However, the check in at this particular Motel 6 was abysmal. Apparently they were seriously understaffed, ehich is understandable but not pleasant. All told, after going through the line twice, it took mpre than half an hour.

Everytime I come visit Reno I always stay at this Motel 6. All the housekeepers and front Desk people are very considerate and nice. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, I always feel right at home. The property has came a long with with the new management. Patricia is such a hard working candidate for this property. She’s always running around making sure everything is in order. The new GM is excellent and a very nice guy. Thank you Motel 6 for having a clean and comfortable rooms to always stay in. I always feel safe here!

Very good for price range and very clean. What can u say about 6's amenities, bring own soap /shampoo /conditioner/coffee/freezer in refrigerator. Will ask about having a freezer next time which was importamt for us.

Service was great. Room smelled very nice. I know Motel 6 is about value but it would have been nice to have shampoo and a hair dryer. I never take those things any more because it is extremely rare to encounter a motel without those amenities.

I paid 109 dollars for a room for one night. I had to go back three separate times because My card didn’t work and the lady seemed annoyed that I would bother her with the inconvenience of having to stick a card in a machine and press a button. The air conditioner didn’t work, only blew hot air and when I mentioned it the response was “yeah some of them don’t work”. I asked if they had Wi-Fi and the reply was “yes but it’s an additional fee” so I told them I didn’t want it. They tried charging me for it anyway. When I asked if they had soap or shampoo or anything they said no we don’t supply that but you can go to the vending machine and pay 3$ for a 2oz bottle or shampoo. Very unpleasant stay at this motel. Worst stay I’ve ever had. The security guard was very nice to me and my family though.

I am very satisfied with the customer service I have received. The representatives at the front desk, the security guard, and even the maids have all been polite and helpful. When I checked in, they gave me keys to a dirty room. The representative at the front desk apologized and even walked me to my new room to make sure it was clean. She said she didn't want me to have to walk back to the office again if there was another mistake. I really appreciate how upbeat and helpful all the staff is. Thank you Motel 6 for giving my family a safe, clean, and positive environment to stay in.

Room smelled smokey; ash-tray displayed upon entry to the non-smoking room. No towels provided. Towels were not replaced after the first requested set was taken from the room. Soap was removed from the sink and not replaced when room was cleaned. Shampoo and Wi-Fi not included. This was not made clear until we asked; no mention during booking or check-in. TV randomly changed channels as if also in use by another room. TV remote functioned improperly and every button powered the TV down as if it were reprogrammed. Pricing was favorable but I was overall unsatisfied with the visit.

Did not have a good experience here: Our “non-smoking” room smelled of cigarettes. There were no shampoo in the bathroom. You can hear well what’s going on in the next room.

The staff at the motel were absolutely unprofessional. When checking in they were jumbled in getting everyone their room keys and some did not work. When I got into my room, the bed spread cover had nasty stains on BOTH beds. I called and requested new ones which took over 45 minutes to be brought to the room. The room had not been swept at all. There was crumbs everywhere. The towel rack was loose and fell when I tried to move the towels. The room stated that it was non smoking but smelled like smoke on the walls and from the heater. When I called and addressed it with the front desk, nothing was done except saying someone would come and they never did. I ended up going out and just purchasing a candle. I did not request a move to another room for fear it may be the same or even worse. When I even just requested some more towels for my room since I had stayed for 3 nights, I had to hunt someone down to grab them. There was NEVER maid service offered during the entire time I stayed there. Needless to say I complained again upon check out and was told that they were sorry and they wished me a better day moving forward instead of doing ANYTHING to compensate for the issues. I refuse to ever stay at a motel 6 again due to this terrible experience. I truly hope this reachest that location and the are reviewed.

Staying here is affordable. However… no microwave no fridge… I think if you pay more you can have these things. No shampoo or any luxury of that nature. Also — — anytime I have had the "need"to get a room here, I get solicited for drugs and / or a party… shady characters seem to just be loitering about… And… it seems to be that police frequent it. Its not a great place to search for Serenity. However, they do leave the light on…

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Virginia and Plumb location. They are pet friendly and I love that they are now I don't need to worry about leaving my pet at home alone worrying about who will watch him and If he is behaving because we can bring him along with us on our trips. I love the location as well, I'm able to find a lot of businesses close by and some are walking distance.

We expected it to be not clean or comfortable given that the price was so cheap but we were wrong. It was a very pleasant experience. Room was neat and tidy. Very comfortable beds and clean bathroom. We enjoyed our stay there. And the price was very reasonable.

The rooms at Motel 6 Virginia/Plumb were the nicest and cleanest rooms I stayed in period. And the location is amazing. Shopping, pharmacy, dining, fast-food, or even fine dining! Plus the bus runs 24 hrs.

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Motel 6 in Reno. We stayed for only a night but would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reno. The decor reminded me of a Retro 60's hotel but with modern amenities. The water pressure in the shoer was like getting a swedish massage. The bed, OH MY GOSH, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Ample parking and free coffee in the morning and I was a happy camper.

So much talk about cleaning up the place and security guards. Not just at this Motel 6, but every one I have visited lately. Motel 6 has always been my go to place when traveling. For years. Because I have a dog and there is never a drama about that. First, they put me in a really smoky room. They did give me another. Well, under the bed was never cleaned. But who looks under the bed, right? What was really gross was dried sticky coffee on the chair. When I told them about it, they had me wait in the office until they took care of other people. No. I will find other accomodations from now on. Done. Thank you very much.

I give the staff 5 stars. The owner's policies that aren't stipulated is a big problem with me and for that reason I can not recommend that people stay here. If you want something followed put it in writing so your guess have full knowledge of the policies of this particular motel. To automatically forfeit one's room when they didn't see, sign or agree to a policy that they are totally oblivious to is horrible way to conduct business. Fix it!

We realize that this is a budget lodging. Well, the customer service is first class. The room even seemed to be in better shape. We are always happy to stay there. Hugs.

I thought all rooms had a microwave and a fridge? That was a problem for us … I guess we were supposed to ask first. I think we should have been told if there are options. Otherwise the stay was fine.

Room was clean and comfortable. I just would have liked a coffee pot and a closet. All in all the stay was nice. When we first arrived the room had some cleanliness issues but the cleaning was great and got it cleaned up quickly.

No Smoking room, when I ordered a smoking room. I am a medical cardholder and I was not allowed to medicate in my room. You are a pet friendly hotel but you have no where to take my dog to go to the bathroom. I also booked a queen bed room and I was given a room with a double bed. The night clerk was very curt with me. There was an inch wide space around the door jam.

Friendly staff. Pet friendly with no extra charge. Recommend booking through app as they run out of rooms quickly. Ac works great. Pool was well maintained. Clean rooms.

Nice clean, up to date room. The general environment around the motel don't feel safe. Thanks to security patrol around the property. Morning staff at the counter were not friendly when I checked out. No Greetings or how can I help you. I felt being ignored when I ask if I can hot water.

We stayed in Reno and did not get there until 12:30 am. We were surprised we could not go into the lobby and that there was a night window where I had to stand to complete our reservations although there was a security person, there were allot of non guests hanging out in the parking lot where we had to find a parking spot! Did not feel comfortable. Since we were tired and only had to stay over night. Not too bad! On a good note the Shower was great!.

Location is great. Rooms need a lot better cleaning. I had to wipe up a spill in the bathroom, and the cloth was black from the floor. I then wiped up the whole floor before I took my bath. Seems to me that if they used to vacuum every day, they surely could mop the floors every day. The outside of the toilet bowl also needed better cleaning. Room wreaked of cigarettes I had to air things out when we got home and spray with Fabreez. UGH Service was great, but cleanliness was NOT. No matter room price, it should be clean.

Our stay was fine, however, the possessed TV kept turning on in the middle of the night. The front desk staff said to just reset the universal remote. It didn't help. We ended up unplugging the TV at 3am. We were unable to find a parking spot the first night we were there due to the Hot August Nights crowds. The second night, the water never turned hot in the bathroom sink. Washing your face with cold water is the worst. And the floors were a little dirty. Very average. I get that rates are increased for events such as Hot August Nights but $275 for two nights was not worth it.

We had booked into another Motel 6 (livestock location) and were unhappy with the unsafe location. We decided to give this Motel 6 a chance. It is in an excellent location, but more importantly was the greeting we received from employees Simone and Nicole. They went way out of their way to assist us. We were greeted by Simone and Nicole and they make us feel like family! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We will be returning again to Reno and of course we will be checking in @ this location. When choosing this location you can't go wrong! Thanks ladies, and we are hoping to return soon!

7 months ago I got dropped off hear, and then ditched um I paid 60$ for a room for 1 night, my ex Steven and I were needing a room for the night. He went in got us a room, I stayed in the car with our daughter. The girl inside or maybe him seemed very over friendly with him. My heart was going crazy and breaking so I tried not to watch, hr was also playing games with the girls who pulled up in thr car next to us. We stayed in I think it was 216 I kinda wanted my money back I was expecting alittle more for 60$ it was my last bit of savings after I got fired from reno, sparks cab and my mom had kicked steve out which put him in a bad position being on parol & probation, so like a good woman I packed up our 10month old daughter and we left with him. My childhood memory's of motel 6 was way off. Maybe if I would have thought about a different place or just let him leave like he wanted to, I wouldn't have lost my savings and my man. He moved us into his mothers house the next morning at check out and told me to leave 3 days later.

I stayed about 20 minutes. February 2016. To start, my room on 1st floor had bed spread and t. V. From the 1980's. Then to top it off the rooms smoke alarm kept going of. I went to the front desk to request another room and the woman I talked to seemed extremely bothered by my request I think her name is Mary? Anyway she called maintenance to check it out but the room it's self was so bad along with the area I just left. I paid using credit and never did get my refund, I lost my confirmation number so $81. Down the drain. Drove to Carson City and stayed there, way better!

They want to try to charge my card after I payed cash the night before. Its not my fault your staff is ridiculously unorganized and unprofessional your accounting mistakes shouldnt be my loss. Theifs.

Horrible place. We needed a place to stay and all the hotels we called were filled. As soon as me and my friend were walking to our room, there was a crackhead sitting on the stairs looking confused with his eyes really red. I knew then that this was a shady place. I was in It smelled like really strong perfume as if they were trying to mask a previous bad odor. Me and my friend decided to then turn on the fan. The carpet is an ugly green color, the sheets had marker stains on them, and the blanket has cigarette burns all over. This was a non smoking room, but there was an ashtray on the table. The blanket was also super thin; we had to go get an extra blanket from our car to stay warm. The pillow cases also had brown stains on them. Me and my friend covered the pillow with our own clothing as a shield. The TV is ghetto as can be. Quality is horrible. The remote is missing buttons and has like a big silver stain on it The bathroom door has to be pushed super hard for it to close. There were stains over the toilet seat and the tub and shower looked so disgusting, I didn't even Want to go in there. After showering, I felt more dirty than I was. The tub smelled like bleach and had stains and cracks all over. Bathroom floor had scraps of dirt. It was so bad we decided to step out of the motel for a couple hrs. Coming back to the motel, we thought the smell would be gone, but the horrible smell was still there.

The service was terrible. The people upstairs were loud and stomping around propably tweakin all nite. Filthy stinky rooms… Blah!

Let me begin by saying the General Manager has corrected my compliant and issued me a refund. I'm concerned about this hotel, I stayed in room and I will agree with every 1 star review. My comforter had multiple cigarette burns on it. The carpet was so worn and old it had ripples throughout and I tripped on it as I walked towards the bathroom. The light switch on the wall had to be turned mutiple times for the lamp to come on. I will agree with the other reviewers that the clientele was questionable. I have stayed at the newly remodeled Motel 6 hotels and have had wonderful experiences. This experience was horrible, pictures have been added. I tried until 1:00 am to get out of there but every hotel was sold out due to the holiday weekend. Good Luck to you if you decide to stay here.

I stayed there one night earlier this week, at the start of a business trip. Staff was courteous and efficient, nonsmoking room was clean and did not smell like anyone had smoked in it. Bed was very comfortable and I slept straight thru the night, though I did have some trouble getting to sleep because of the road noise — — I asked for an outside room, and it was right next to the traffic on Plumb. Evening loiterers nearby made me a little uncomfortable, but they were far enough away that they didn't bother me, and the lot was well-lit. I got a great rate through AARP, which includes free Wi-Fi. I would certainly stay there again.

"Worst on the Planet! " is what one reviewer wrote. I disagree, slightly. An independent motel outside of Bellingham, WA is the worst on the planet. It had dried blood on the stained shit-brown carpet, ticks and multiple-legged insects under the ragged bed covers, and the porcelain-white bathroom hadn't been white in many years. We paid in advance, so we slept on the chairs. This motel 6, however, comes in a close second. Our room was next to the stairs leading upstairs. Inconsiderate people and their kids trampled up and down those stairs until four in the morning. The room's windows are single-paned, so every word from four drunken migrant workers sitting on those stairs from 11 pm to 2 am was heard. Early-rising guests exiting the motel at five in the morning could also be heard packing their luggage, shouting at each other, and slamming bathroom and other doors. We had paid in advance for four nights during Hot August Nights. All of the decent rooms in Reno were sold out. So, we lived with the fact that we were awake for most of all four nights, finally falling asleep from exhaustion at six in the morning, and barely sleeping until eleven. Not so ironically, the motel was most quiet from nine in the morning until about two in the afternoon, when most of its guests were gone, and its rooms were empty.

The Motel 6 at Plumb and Virginia, in Reno Nevada was a real delight to use. Staff was friendly and efficient. My room near the back of this larger motel was clean and quiet, although at a major intersection. I especially liked the large counter and sink area, outside the bathroom and the full tub and shower in the bathroom (although the fan sounded as if it will soon need replacement). The location very close to two major casinos and just a few blocks from the older ones downtown was ideal. The under $41.00 price for one or two beds (AARP rate) was a real bargain. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others, as well.

This Motel 6 is the worst on the planet. Absolute crap hole. Stayed here two nights on a 5 night stay, and had to leave the next morning and go find something else, Like a bridge. We lost the other three nights, but worth it. Oh well. Hookers and bums on the corner soliciting. Complained to the office personnel and was told to stay clear of them, excuse me!. Not like I solicited them. Rooms smell like cigarettes and booze. Maybe with some $3 prostitute sex thrown in there too. Stains and hairs (short hairs) in beds on the sheets and under the sheets. I think they rent these rooms by the 1/4 hour 1/2 hour and hourly rates too. Had some pretty shag nasty hoes coming out of rooms. Ugh! Disgusting. Couldn't keep people from walking around the bikes at night, getting to close and touching them. Nobody got much sleep on those two nights, on guard for the bikes. Some pretty unworthy types running around there. I would recommend sleeping under a bridge or in your car before staying here. Used to be that Motel 6 was a respectable place. NOT anymore. This place should be shut down. Will never ever stay here again.

The staff was quite good. The room was all I could hope for. I do believe the Wi-Fi should be free, as it is in practically every hotel/motel — didn't expect to be paying $3 a day for it. The room was good, all I could want, and relatively low-priced. The toilet is designed so it didn't flush well. I would stay here again. It's well-located, I enjoyed the staff, and everything else went quite smoothly.
