Dirty and bartenders were awful. Was sad to see at Christmas time. The nicest people were the front entrance attendants.

Took 1.5 hours to check in. First room was already occupied, second room only had one bed, third room hadn’t been cleaned. Manager Nicholas said he would refund half of my rate but a week later I’m told that’s not possible.

Love the experience! The staff is hands down the best! Love the food! Try it all, we did. It is all delicious. I could only upload ten photos and they were all dishes we ordered. I couldn’t upload the rest. Trust me everything on the menu is spectacularly delicious. Did I mention the coffee is infused with chicory! This was our first time here and we will be booking again and again. Oh the hotel is simply beautiful. Finely decorated and has the new luxurious feel with an old time charm.

We recently stayed a night here for the first time! Beautiful hotel and the staff top notch! The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful! The valet staff quick and accommodating-super friendly! Love the gumbo in the lobby-delicious and a fun touch!

Aside from it being a beautiful hotel that is conveniently located and staffed with friendly, responsive and helpful people, I was so impressed and shocked by the amazing service I received when I accidentally left my wristlet in the locked safe! I had checked out and was already at the airport traveling back home when I realized I left my wristlet with credit cards, cash, and prescription medication in the locked hotel room safe. Mr. Gregory Lee, security, had my safe unlocked, confirmed the presence of my items, had my items shipped to me via fedex, sent me the tracking number all at no charge to me! Best part was I didn’t have to even ask — he just offered and did it! All of my items were returned to me on my doorstep! Thank you Gregory Lee for that piece of mind and outstanding service!

I'd give the Ritz at New Orleans a 5 stars if it was not for the front desk receptionist who checked us in. She gave me such a hard time for the MMP code usage for our stay. Out of all of the Marriott's that we have stayed at not one employee gave us a hard time at all, except for the one in New Orleans. Over all the hotel was amazing. Very clean rooms, prompt room service, great valet service, and the hotel itself is just beautiful. We especially enjoyed the gumbo tasting; it was a unique addition to the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay, however, the rude customer service from the receptionist left a bad taste for us.

Awesome live jazz music every Friday and Saturday night on the 3rd floor. Great food and swanky venue. Only downfall is you have to go downstairs to Canal Street to smoke cigarettes even though they have an outside courtyard on the third floor. It’s dangerous since the jazz band starts playing after dark, so if you’re a smoker, you’ll be forced to stand out in the street!

My overall experience was very positive. That said, the parking situation was an issue for me. Valet parking for $50/day as the only option is not adequate. I was also not a fan of taking one set of elevators from ground level to the lobby and then having to traverse the lobby to take another set to the room. However, the rooms were very nice, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay again.

Very nice hotel to stay in. Roomy interior, nice architecture. Hotel staff were absolutely helpful. Food at hotel was good. Wi-Fi was stable. Bottles of water in rooms available. Requires two elevators to get to rooms, but the feel of the hotel is so nice it doesn't even matter.

I like this hotel a lot. Great location, even though most of New Orleans smells like piss. The club rooms are great and the lounge is one of the best. That said, I hate that you have to use a separate elevator and that you have to go through the restaurant and down some stairs. Food at the hotel is really good. Beneigts are legit. Burger at the bar is top notch. Breakfast sandwiches in the am at the little counter by the front desk. Also a pretty legit workout facility. A very nice place to stay.

We decided to stay in New Orleans at the last minute and we were so glad they had a room avavilable at a great price! Jonathan was amazing and recommended the club level for an amazing price! We were treated like royalty from the minute we walked into the club level concierge. We were given champagne and then took us to our own elevator which led to where our room was located. The room was gorgeous! They have every detail covered and it was noticed. This will be the only place we stay on our next trip to New Orleans.

Great! Great in every way! From the moment we drive up, to the moment we drive away! The service is outstanding. We have stayed in the club level, and with that, have access to extra amenitites. Everyone who works on the Club level made our stay amazing! Even if we hadn't stayed in the club level, the service at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans is great! The room was amazing, attention to detail is great! Room, bed, bathroom, all nice and clean! We like it so much we are getting Married at this hotel in September! Surprisingly affordable! We FULLY recommend this hotel to our friends, family, and anyone else who reads this review. You pay a premium price, to stay at a premium hotel, and it is WELL worth it!

The Ritz Carlton here in New Orleans is top notch. Service far exceeds any expectations and really is five stars. Spend the extra money to stay on the concierge level as they have food and drinks available through out the day. The food they serve is delicious and fresh and they have an amazing coffee system, too. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. Great location on Canal Street close to all of the action.

We got a room with a view of the courtyard which was very lovely — the room and the view. The house keeping staff was very courteous. The entrance way always smelled so good. I wonder what they use because it's just a light scent and very pleasant. Room was very clean. We were in room 628.

Wedding disaster! Ritz booked band event at same time as a dear friends wedding was being celebrated on the 3rd story courtyard of their NOLA Ritz-Carlton this past weekend. The LOUD sound of pop band leader talking and singing over the wedding ceremony & vows was a nightmare! I've never felt so bad for a bride, groom and all the family and friends gathered. All the planning and cost that was invested to make sure this was a memorable occasion was for naught as the Ritz was obviously more interested in greed of multiple bookings, than postponing the other event until wedding was over, all of less than an hour! The hotel attendants appeared to do absolutely nothing. Why did this hotel not reserve the space solely for this bride & groom on the day as they had planned? This supposedly high class hotel has NO class for such a controllable intrusion of the most sacred time of a couples marriage ceremony. Never would I have thought of all corporations that one could stoop so low!

This place is remarkable. The staff is very attentive and polite. I would recommend this for any trip, vacation or just a quick get away. Never disappointed and the signature smells of the candles in the building and rooms are the best. You are the only guest!

It's hard to go wrong at the Ritz. They captured the NOLA feel beautifully. The room was perfect. The spa is a heavenly place to spend a morning or afternoon. All of the technicians I worked with we're better than excellent. They went above and beyond to make my experience perfect.

Rarely hand out five stars. Everything was excellent, from check in, the food, immediate service when requesting dry cleaning and extra coffee pods. The spa was awesome — full service massage, steamroom, shave center and shower. THE BED was incredible. Live music frequently and a quaint courtyard to relax and have a sip and a nibble while deciding what to do next.

I did not stay in the hotel, but instead went to their restaurant with my 14 year old son. We were looking for a restaurant with live Jazz that would allow youth in along with me. Not only was the environment really classy, the service was great and we really enjoyed listening the Jeremy Davenport quintet. Also, I ordered "A taste of New Orleans" and I've never had better gumbo in my life. Absolutely recommend the food and was one of the few places in New Orleans that I felt had service with a smile. The restaurants is a little expensive, though price accurately for where it's at, but is family friendly.

We went to dinner at M bistro. It was great. Service was good. Didn't had to wait much since we made the reservation. We were very well served and they brought out an appetizer to try and it was good. Really enjoy the selection of food and also corn bread and rolls that came out was also excellent. Also having a live jazz band playing Christmas music was also great for the atmosphere. Only thing would be having a clear direction. Restaurant is located inside the bar/lounge and unless you've been there you won't know unless you ask.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Everything was five star! From the excellent customer service to the comfy beds to the live music in the lobby… absolutely perfect. I'd definitely return and recommend to friends!

Would give zero stars if possible. Staff treated us like dirt. Terrible treatment and service. I am shocked as to how this hotel could receive 5 stars. Please do not stay here. Do yourself a favor. There is nothing special about this hotel! Everyone is very rude at hotel.

Was here for an Arrow Exterminators event and had a wonderful time. I enjoyed my stay. It was made particularly enjoyable and hassle-free by Corey the Bellman, Nick the valet, and Brian and Natalia in the M Bistro restaurant! Sue was also very very helpful to us! We did not run into a single person our entire trip that was not extremely helpful and accommodating! Definitely recommend staying here to anybody!

The Ritz was a great place to stay at. It has very helpful employees and all areas are very clean. The room I stayed in was very clean and organized. It contained every necessity for a hotel room. Room service was very prompt and the food very delicious. Over all my stay was great and comforting! Highly recommend.

I ordered their rib eye bone in, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My nephew was so happy with his scallops entree, I tasted it… very fresh.

Finally, Natalia served us the famous beignets of New Orleans, compliments from the restaurant. Very sweet gesture for their guests.

Love staying at the Ritz! The staff is extremely nice and friendly. When I originally booked the room they were all out of rooms with double queen beds. The bellman that helped us with our bags ended up going down to the front desk and helped us find a double queen room with a fantastic view. The concierge was extremely helpful! They had awesome recommendations for food and things to do. A lot of the things we went to see didn't even cost money. The food at the Ritz was delicious as always and room service was 24/7. The building is right next to bourbon street, and is only a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is also right next to the trolley. If you're looking for a hotel in New Orleans, you won't find anything nicer than the Ritz Carlton.

Hotel is well decorated and staff were generally friendly with the notable exception of a staff member in the spa. When we asked for directions to the gym (having missed the understated after hours entrance), she could not have made her annoyance with question more obvious. The exercise facilities are very nice and clean for a hotel. The big drawback with the hotel was related to the upkeep of the room where we stayed. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly (standing water for 30 minutes after using the sink). While this was reported to the front desk it was not addressed during our stay. There was also a dried out contact lens crusted into the floor next to the toilet. The other odd bit is the elevator front desk situation. To get to the front desk from street level you have to take an elevator to the third floor. To get to your room you have to take a separate elevator. This means every time you leave or return to the hotel you have pleasure of two elevator rides. While not the end of the world, it’s a little annoying. Overall, I’ve enjoyed better hotels at substantially less cost in New Orleans.

Very nice looking hotel, decorated great for holidays. Staff superb and courteous. Rooms nice, beds very comfortable. Location great, two blocks from Bourbon Street, a mile or so walk from the convention center. Excellent gym. Clientele generally very well dressed, but while my wife and I dressed much more casually, we never felt looked down at by staff. Probably nicest place of very many where I've stayed.

Beautiful hotel in the center of downtown New Orleans. The rooms are high end and it’s a nice escape from crazy Bourbon Street. The Davenport lounge is excellent. The food is incredible and the service even better. Ask for Liz, she’s full of great tips for what to do outside of downtown. Ann is also excellent, very attentive and fun to chat with.

We had a great stay. The room was clean and well presented. We had a minor issue with the toilet running, and we told them and it was fixed before we came back from dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Great location. Beautiful gym facilities included, not as part of spa package. Room I was in was fine but nothing spectacular. Bathroom missing some features such as ability to keep under mount lighting on at night, or a fan to remove steam.

Decent hotel with beautiful rooms. Pricey, even for the French Quarter — as you would expect for a Ritz Carlton. Overall the service was good although the reception desk was frequently crowded and I had a 10 minute wait at one point for a simple request. This place is very similar to the Roosevelt around the corner.

We just walked in off the street to use the bathroom. It was actually difficult to find the bathroom as well as the check-in. One of the staff was quick to ask if we needed help finding the check in desk though so that was nice. The bathrooms were actually quite a bit messy but much cleaner than any other bathroom we would've been able to find. All in all, if we were actually guests, we would not be disappointed with our stay.

My husband and I stayed in the Club Level. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating but unfortunately there were a few staff members who were not as friendly to us { we are African American}. I want to mention that Terrence always greeted us with a huge smile and was very helpful. Janis, Christina, Danielle and Charles were also pleasant and attentive to EVERYONE, which was very much appreciated. On the other hand Russell and Deidre were obviously more friendly and attentive to Caucasian guest. This was very disheartening and put a little damper on my trip. My room was nice and the Spa service was exceptional. I would have definitely given this hotel 4.5 stars if it weren't for the staff members that treated us sub par.

M-Bistro was a nice experience. Good food for a decent price. I had the 3 course August Deal which was worth it. The food like most of the food in New Orleans was relatively salty but not a deal breaker. Beignets were top notch.

Refined atmosphere and good Jazz.

This is an amazing place. My hubby and I got to New Orleans early and our room wasn't ready. We upgraded to the Concierge floor. Highly recommend! Danielle was so sweet! Loved everyone in there! The location is perfect and the jazz in the Davenport Lounge is top notch. We do not want to leave as the hotel, amenities and staff are fantastic! Thank you so much!

We are currently spending our first anniversary here in New Orleans and picked The Ritz Carlton for our hotel. The location of the hotel is right on Canal St with plenty of restaurants and stores in walking distance. You can pretty much walk to any place if you have the right shoes, but you can also take the trolley. Upon arrival to the hotel the valet was friendly and let us know a bit about the city. The lobby and front desk are located on the 3rd floor which was a bit confusing if you weren't told. The front desk was great and upgraded us to a garden view, which the view in this town are nothing special. She helped us with some recommendations and wished us a happy anniversary. The rooms are a normal size and clean. I don't have much to say about them, they just get the job done. So far the Ritz is lovely and we will keep coming back to them.

The Ritz Carlton — New Orleans provided extraordinary customer-oriented service in a very elegant setting. My vacation was impromptu and the Ritz Carlton was an excellent base for enjoying the French Quarter as well as the larger metropolitan area. Every question and every need was addressed quickly and politely. The Ritz Carlton was clean and polished and I enjoyed my beautiful room. It was fun to see Will and Jada Pinkett Smith enjoying lunch. I have high praise for the Ritz Carlton — New Orleans and I am very appreciative for the extraordinary service I received every day.

The hotel is located right next to the quarter. If you desire a nice place to stay while enjoying the revelry of New Orleans this is ideal. The rooms a great, lots of space and modern. Staff is wonderful, accommodating and not overly stuffy.

As expected, the hotel's decor is exquisite down to the finest details. I wouldn't expect anything less from the Ritz-Carlton. This particular location has done an excellent job of capturing the decadence and hospitality that the South is well-known for. The restaurant is no less impressive. I ordered the beignets and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived with vanilla, caramel, and chocolate dipping sauces. They were excellent and the service was top notch. Next time I am in New Orleans I will certainly be back if only for the beignets. Step aside Cafe Du Monde.

Unparalleled services. I stayed in the Maison Club House… and the room was amazing. All of the food and free drinks provided with the package was amazing. Everything is close to the hotel as well.

An absolutely gorgeous hotel! Rooms were well appointed. Bed was extremely comfortable. Rooms was extremely clean. My only complaint was that our room had the option of adjoining to the room next door. We did not know he guests next to us, but could hear the guests next door VERY well. Would have expected better sound proofing at a Ritz.

The Ritz is absolutely gorgeous — everything from the architecture, to the furnishings and decor are impeccable, but this was not unexpected. The real charm of the Ritz Carlton experience lies within their staff and service. The hospitality at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans is unparalleled. All of the staff, especially Ian, Andrew and Jason in the Davenport Lounge were accommodating, personable and genuine in their care and attention to detail. In addition, Drew not only wished us well on our evening outings as we passed through the doors, and welcomed us back when we returned — but was eager to know how he could help us make our evening special each time. He provided us with personal recommendations and directions, which we happily took and then made sure to ask how our experiences were upon our return each evening, taking note of any additional recommendations we had, so he could in turn share with others. Everywhere we turned we were greeted with smiles and continuously asked how our stay could be improved. We arrived at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans as first-time guests and departed feeling like family. We look forward to returning to the Ritz Carlton New Orleans one day when we return to the city. Thank you for a unique and memorable stay in a beautiful and gracious city.

If you're trying to find a really great deal on this amazing hotel I'd highly suggest booking it through HotelRaven. Com They have great deals for it on there! Such a perfect place don't have enough great things to say! Nice, very open view of Bourbon St. And beyond (if your room faces that direction. Pleasant staff and welcoming valet service. Only complaint is with a delay on the availability of our rooms. We had to wait half of the day we were supposed to be in just to get in and sit down. Otherwise impressive service.
