I don’t get the overtly negative reviews of this place. I stay in motels and hotels often and I don’t hold “overnight rest stop motels” to the same standard as hotels where I’m likely to stay for a number of days on business or vacation. In this instance we were wanting a clean, reasonably priced place to sleep overnight. The lobby was simple, but clean, the employees were friendly and honored a request for a ground floor room. Our room wasn’t what I’d expect at a resort, but for an overnight stay, it was perfect for our needs. We had two full-size beds with clean linens and surprisingly comfortable pillows. The bathroom was clean and what I’d expect for lodging of this type and price range. It’s just off the freeway, but far enough that traffic noise isn’t an issue. There are plenty of fuel stations and quick eats and a sit-down or two nearby. For an overnight stop, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This place is a complete dump. In the process of moving g from Dallas to Miami we reserved a room here after several days of no sleep and packing. We arrived in the middle of the night. The room was paid for. The clerk took forever to answer the buzzer. I gave him both our license and the card used to reserve the room. My husband was asleep in the car. The clerk got on the phone with whoever and in the process I saw 3 cockroaches. The entry smelled horribly of mildew. After 5 mins of him on the phone I asked for my our licenses back and said I'm sorry I can't stay here. He argued with me that he was in the process of getting our room. He got back in the phone and WOULD NOT GIVE ME OUR LICENSE BACK. Do kot even think about staying here.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We stay at this hotel every weekend for the past several months when we come in to town. The place has mold and stinks. The management absolutely sucks. The guys who works the night shift is the only decent one and he is awesome. However the employees during the day/morning give the entire hotel a horrible review. They are ridiculously rude. do not spend a dime at this dump. I would not waste your money.

I was highly satisfied with the entire experience, from booking the room to checking out. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the room was clean. I will definitely come back and I will also recommend this place.

First stay was great, second stay I woke up with bug bites all over me. Nice rooms and service but I will not be returning.

I stayed @ this hotel one night I woke up with at least 15 bedbug bites. The front desk person acted like nothing was wrong. Would not refund my money. Manger is never in office. Worst hotel I've ever slept in. I wish I was able to post photos… DO NOT patronize this establishment You've been warned.

It cool unless you get sick in the middle bof the night can't get new sheets and blankets no room service at night but a good get away the women in the morning is nice as can be been coming back for more but that's not the motel.

Nice room for the price. Host very helpful. He said it flooded in Aug 2016 so everything has been remodeled. No signs of any mold or damage in room. Beds are comfortable. Will stay here again.

Got a room for the night and was thinking of weekly while In town. Got settled In wife said check for bed bugs she starts check I g finds two used condoms stuck in bed. Tell guy at desk he comes to room says sorry dirty people and he is gonna clean it up. I told him we wanted new room because of maid missed that what else and we have our children with us. He says no rooms. I ask for refund of course not. So a loaded up and left for hotel across street got pictures for proof. Also drunk people outside.

Fairly new building. Friendly staff. Honest and trustworthy housekeeping. Very clean rooms. Been staying here for about two months and it's been an enjoyable experience. Pricing is better than surrounding hotels, especially for extended stays.

The best place to stay here. The cleanest ive ever been to. Its still real new they have everything you need but a pool. Was so very quiet. Couldnt hear nothing. Cold air fresh everything. I will be back and I live here in town. My house flooded so I stayed here. Nice stay and I hate motels. Will be back.

Name changed to Western Inn. Great little place to stay, room still had that "new" smell, very clean, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in that area. 5 stars.

We've stayed here previously and were impressed, not so much this time. We made reservations online for $59.99/night, then our situation changed and we had to show up early by 3 days. I called ahead and they were very accommodating to get us reservations earlier, we told them we would be arriving in the middle of the night — early morning around 4am. When we arrived at 0630 — we were told they charged our card as a no show because we were late, but the room was available — the clerk on duty had no idea about what was going on. They then offered us the weekly rate which was about $5 per night less, which we agreed on. Then on Sunday — they expected us to check out despite the fact that our original reservations were until Monday — after much discussion, they extended our stay but charged us $69.99 per night plus tax! Very disappointed with the lack of communication, lack of skill for the help at the desk. When I mentioned our online rate, the clerk said I cannot verify online rates, so basically "too bad". I will stay across the street next time. Rates are the same, better service and overall hotel. Plus, still just as close to all the restaurants and stores.

I loved this hotel. When I first did my resrvation over the phone I told the man on the phone that I wanted a non-smoking room. However, when I got there on saturday the guy at the front desk told me that my reservation was for a smoking room I was a little upset since I do not smoke. But when I went to my room I could't tell it was a smoking room. The room was very clean and did not had any smoking smell to it. I am a very satisfied customer after all.

I recently drove through Baton Rouge to Houston and stopped overnight at Travel Inn. The hotel is spanking new! Besides the courteous service the amenities are really nice. I did not expect to have a flat screen hd TV in my room. The area is right off the interstate so very convenient. The room was very clean and so was the hotel. The bed was comfy and clean. I think the hotel is definitely the most bang for your buck in the area. I would stay here again when I drive back home.
