For the price we paid I was not happy. The room was not cleaned properly and there were ants all over.

Loved staying here, and I loved Becky even more she was so friendly and helpful giving me suggestions of what to do in the area and was always happy to assist with any of our needs. Nice, clean, and quiet hotel, will definitely be returning!

Nice place second tier to the lake. Set up like a condo except the rooms look just like a best western, red roof or any other basic hotel, motel.

Disgusting… trash at every corner, can't see the bottom of the pool, paint peeling everywhere, siding falling off of condos, weeds growing up through the deck, ash trays every 10" to 20" even at the front door of a non smoking room. Front desk lady is very rude, but the 12 year old that checked us in was nice. And our view of the lake is decent, but I was under the assumption I would be on the lake. I will never reccomend this hotel and we've only been here for 10 min. I wish I would have saved my 100 and slept in my car.

This was our first time down here. We had a great view of the lake from our room. Our room was clean, and functional. Very acceptable for the inexpensive price. Friendly staff. Our only issue we're that the pool wasn't clean, or properly maintained. Our room wasn't stocked with towels or extra pillows. Our room needed some cosmetic repair such as nail holes repaired, maybe a fresh coat of paint, and have the air conditioning units maintnanced… but all in all we would definitely come back.

Please do not waste your money here. Customer service at its worst! The rooms are filthy and they have cockroaches. My friend booked us a room for Saturday. When we checked in the room was disgusting but we decided to stick it out and then the roaches started crawling up the wall. We packed up all our stuff and was gone by eight pm. When we went to check out the next day She told told the front desk about everything and they didn’t even act surprised about it just said they would look into it. No apologies! Horrible!

One star is more than I would like to give. Poor customer service, room was dingy. Spider webs in every corner. Trash right outside my room door. No shades on any lamps or covers on the ceiling lighting. Very shady type place. It didn't look like the sheets had been changed but I didn't end up sleeping there so I guess that wasn't my biggest concern. Once we saw the roach crawling up the wall and then a 2nd, we decided to stay at a friends condo on the tiny loveseat. It was uncomfortable but far better than this room. Went back the next morning to gather the few things we didn't store in our car overnight (so the roaches wouldn't travel home with us) and to check out. Told the owner that I saw a couple roaches. She didn't seem surprised and said she would take a look later. She didn't apologize, offer any comp, NOTHING! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nicest place we have stayed at, really felt like home. View from deck was gorgeous.

Clean rooms, really nice to have refrigerator and microwave in room. There is only a breakfast on weekends. Office isn't open very long each day we were there. Have to call the number on the door to get service if needed. The price is reasonable for what you get. Is not far off route 54.

The Hawks Nest Lodge is a one of a kind. Featuring disgusting floors and unchanged bedsheets, it is sure to leave visitors in awe of the deteriorating state of the building and business. With a 72 hour pre cancellation policy, the Hawks Nest ensures by the time you see the establishment, its much too late to get your money back. Guests are welcomed to their rooms with a warm humid must that is hard to shake. Falsely boasting water front rooms, (if you can peer over the actual waterfront properties) the Hawks Nest stands at least 100 yards from any body of water other than the unkept pool, with several buildings in between. The staff was incredibly polite while moving us from our first dirty room to our second dirty room. As you pull into the parking lot ready for the big weekend at the lake, you may feel your heart sink into your stomach as you realize the terrible mistake you have made. You must truly see this sight to believe it.

Filthy! If could give zero stars, I would. Let me just walk you through my experience. There is trash littered on the grass and walk ways. Upon entering our room, we were met with a somewhat foul smell. My eyes were immediately drawn to floor as there was what appeared to be bits of shredded and crumpled toilet paper in front of the bed. The walls were stained and had several spackle spots where they filled in water damage and what looked bullet holes. There was a rather concerning green growth near door, which had caulking hanging from it. The shower was stained. There was dust on every surface. While we could see some water from our room, it wasn't exactly the lake view they boasted of. But that didn't matter because the windows were so dirty they were virtually useless. The worst part of it all, the bed sheets hadn't been changed. I was appalled. Now you know why they have a strict 72hr cancellation policy…

Always enjoy our stay, staff very nice and remembered my husband's name.

The rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. The office closes very early and are hard to get things from.

Nice staff and location, and reasonable prices. Rooms are equipped with the all the main needs.

Great people who run the place, always polite, nice view, breakfast would be nice… Definitely would stay here again.

Jackie and her husband made this the BEST STAY EVER! They are the best people Ever. I have stayed here for the last 3 years, and this was the best time ever, I have been laughing so much and feel so welcomed and having the time My life. I am really going to miss Jackie. The only problem was, Jackie had NO HELP keeping the rooms clean. That poor girl ran her butt off cleaning rooms, checking people in. To me that is very wrong. She had to beg for clean linens, towels. That was Not good at all. SHE Really needs a BIG BONUS for all the work she had to take care of! Oh, and the PRICE of this PLACE DOUBLED since last year and the owner is too cheap to do any thing about fixing it up. But Jackie and her family won't probably be here next year and she shall be missed tremendously. I will probably stay here again next year, I just hope that whom ever is here is friendly and fun. Thank you Jackie for service and making me feel good and laughing until I cried. Best stay EVER. Good luck to you and your family. You are so unique and you shall be missed so very much good luck in your travels and in your life I will never forget you.

Very sketchy place. The rooms where disgusting and not worth the cost. Highly recommend staying at the Grand Glaze Inn instead.

The view was amazing atleast from the room I was in, that is why I gave it any stars at all. Now the bad for a start overall the place is not well kept I found a roach for 1 the exhaust fan sounded like it was ready to blow. Someone left the heat on and it was 1of the hottest days of the summer. No HBO which I was told by friends is not uncommon at lake but when you charge more than $100 a night you expect atleast equivalent of a motel 6 that costs half the price. The breakfast offerings not even worth going to lobby for and I was checked out by what I guess was a 10 or 11 yr old. Just saying alot better offerings than hawks nest at lake of Ozarks for same money or even less.

This was a great price for this stay, the room was not bad although the carpet really needs replaced. The staff was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was good little muffins, toast, danishes or cereal. It was all good for the price. Also we couldnt jear the people in the next room like in other hotels weve stayed in this trip. All in all I was happy with this experience.

Older hotel, decently maintained. Rooms could be cleaner and beds more comfortable. Otherwise, just a standard hotel.

All the rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. The pictures on the website show the older style tube tv's in the rooms. For the price I didn't mind. When we arrived we discovered they actually did have flat screens, a fridge, and a microwave. The hotel is in need of some minor updating like a new paint job, but overall we were impressed on what we got for the price.

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and had problems then, we thought we would give it another try and big mistake it was worse than before. It looks like they tried updating here and there but they don't complete the work. Drywall work there needs to be finished and this place needs a major cleaning especially after their doing drywall repair, the toilet seat was covered with drywall texture/mud. The front desk clerk gave us some type of cleaner/disinfectant. The room had dead bugs in the all the corners and my girlfriend found an ant in the bed the next morning. This place stank like cigarettes! Towel holder was coming off the wall. We talked to the management next door (Grand Glaize Hotel) and they upgraded us there. Don't waste your time at the Hawks Nest!

Decent room for the price, close to everything. Don't pay for the lake view room as it is just a slight view through the trees and is not a private balcony, it doesn't overlook the lake. Their sister hotel is so much nicer for close to the same price though you do get the use of both properties which was nice. All in all if you need a cheap room for the weekend it's not bad.

The room we were in was really cute and had a gorgeous view. The staff seem friendly as well. The lodge itself is a little unkempt but other than that we had a great stay. Oh and great food and shopping super close by!

There were no coffee cups for the the free coffee. The parking was not assigned so I had a long walk.

Definitely well worth the money. The room we were in was perfect. The people are all incredibly nice. And the beds were super comfy!

We decided to stay here at the last minute and booked online. I knew we were taking our chances on what to expect considering the low price compared to other hotels in the area. We couldn't be happier with our decision! The friendly manager checked us in and pointed out that the hotel next door, Inn at Grand Glaize, is a "sister-property to Hawk's Ridge" and we are welcome to use their amenities (pool, bar, restaurant, etc. ). We ended up using the pool at Hawk's Ridge instead of the one next door. Our boy had a blast and made new friends. He asked if we could cancel out tourist plans for the night and just stay put. This place is definitely a work-in-progress and it's not in perfect condition. It was easy for us to overlook the small stuff and enjoy our much needed time away from the grind. Thanks for the hospitality and we will certainly be back in the future.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a hotel in a long time. We have had our air conditioner changed twice and it's still a mediocre 73 degrees in my room with it cranked up. The room smells terrible and the TV I had in the "master" is a box TV from the early 2000s. Not to mention the staff here seems to be less than capable of running the joint. Not pleased.

This hotel has the potential to be a nice hotel. But the room I stayed in didn't smell nice. Some stuff was beat up, and the toilet could hardly flush. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Tonya was awesome. Very pleasant very friendly. Loved the atmosphere.

If you want an affordable quick in quick out, this isn't a bad gig. Just don't have high expectations. It was ok for me.
