A very nice place. Seems to have been recently built or refurbished. Very nice work out area, pool area (made for kids, can't really swim in it), and a large Hot Tub. An actual Happy Hour given to the over twenty one years old guests, don't see that often anymore. Breakfast was really good and opened up early each day I was there. Really a nice place to stay.

Was please with the service AFTER I arrived at midnight to be told they couldn't check me in. My husband had to reconcile because I was so anger after driving for 13 hours. We were able to check in after she called the manger. Just as I thought everything was fine, they charged the card on the reservation instead of verifying the credit card and charging mine instead. Of course the person who made the reservation was not happy, which makes my review a lot different. Will never stay here again. Being a Holiday Inn employee, I was quite disappointed. The room was nice, and what was left at breakfast, my son enjoyed.

Rude staff and a dump of a hotel. To the manager's comment below: Interesting you can explain what you think is the only reason for my review, but not call me back like the front desk attendant said you would. If you have that policy it should be expressed before booking (directly through IHG mind you) and not when someone shows up at 11pm with a reservation. Holiday Inn on Layton is a much nicer all around and I recommend it to anyone who'd considering this hotel. This hotel has rude staff and a manager that can't return a message. And thanks for reminding me to review of Trip Advisor too, unnamed manager.

Room given to other family, but manager was able to correct. Room was nice, and some areas not as clean as it could be. Pool area no well maintained. Close to highway which made it convenient to come an go.

Although this hotel was farther away from my event than I would have prefered, it worked out better that we were here. It was well kept, both inside and outside the rooms, breakfast was better than I've had at other hotels, beds were comfortable, the gym had more equipment than I'm used to at a hotel, and the bathroom mirror was great for putting on my makeup because of the lights around it. And the pool was great too. Splash pad, basketball hoops, hot tub, and nice spots to sit, especially if you have a poolside room. Overall, I's totally stay here again if I have another weekend event around here.

Very nice staff, the rooms are kept nice and clean, and the fitness center is tip top and never crowded. Good breakfast too!

Excellent property very well maintained. The entire staff is well-trained and very friendly. Front desk Brittany was quick and efficient on the check-in. Very friendly. All front desk should be run as efficiently as hers. The room is spacious and nice very clean… beds are very comfortable. The pool area looks very fun if you have small children. This is a very nice property. I will stay here whenever I'm in the area.

Newly built in w modern furniture, appliance. My kids enjoyed the swiming pool entrance through right next back door in a room. All staff are kind, amd professional. Absolutely 5 stars.

The hotel was very accommodating to or food allergy concerns. They went above and beyond for us. The hotel was recently updated and perfect for our stay. The hotel pool was great for kids. I highly recommend staying in the first floor pool view as you can walk right out of your room and into the pool area. You also get a small seating area between the two areas. The pool noise was not noticable with the room door closed.

Great pool if you have toddlers. The wading pool was fun for our 2 1/2 year old. Nice rooms too. I was impressed!

Very nice. Front desk person was very helpful and explained the hotel and it's perks. Breakfast was good. I have to watch what I eat and they had things for breakfast that I was able to enjoy.

My stay was overall fine. Front desk associate was friendly and helpful with local places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. However, there was a snow storm overnight and when I got down to my rental car, I found it blocked in by a wall of snow that had been created by a snow plow clearing out the middle of the parking lot — it had pushed a wall of snow behind all of our cars and after asking the front desk if they had something to clear it out, it was explained to me that they had a shovel available and I had to shovel myself out. This took at least 20 minutes and being from out of town (down south), I'd never shoveled snow before… I just really felt like they should have shoveled us out since they created the problem in the first place. Luckily I'm strong enough to shovel myself out, but it did make me wonder — what did they do for those who were less able bodied? Not a great end to my trip. Not thrilled with this location.

I’d give ZERO stars if I could! I confirmed our reservation online, went to check in and “we have to cancel your reservation because you live within 30 miles” I called corporate and they informed me they talked to management and the policy is enforced. I booked the room on IHG. This policy is IGNORANT, discriminatory & unprofessional. I will never support such a BIAS BUSINESS and I highly suggest people think twice before planning to stay here and then going to check in and told NO SORRY WE HAVE TO CANCEL.

Clean comfy, rooms fast Wi-Fi, room faced into the indoor pool which was a bit weird. Otherwise I would recommend.

Folks bring group of kids for the pool and banquet rooms holds birthday parties so definitely get a room away from these area for the weary business traveler. Also the room key is horrible… the magnetic strip work less than half the time.

Everyone was nice so was the pool. Good hotel overall with clean, warm rooms and a great atmosphere.

It was okay, beds and pool were nice. No water available in lobby (unless you pay) and the breakfast was terrible. Avoid the eggs.

Such a nice hotel! Rooms are extremely nice and handicapped accessible for sure! Staff are extremely pleasant and very helpful! All of the rooms and entire hotel just went through a new renovation since we last stayed here! They got even nicer. Free breakfast in the am and there is a managers reception at night with free beverages and snacks! I would definitely recommend staying here if possible!

Clean place. Convenient location to short trip travelers thanks to it near location to the airport. Nice landscape.

This was a nice place to be the breakfast bar was pretty nice and it's close to a lot of stuff especially the airport if you need to fly in or out this is the place you want to stay at and the rooms are pretty nice too.

Used the conference room, was a bit dark but other than that a very nice space. The lobby is really nice too.

It was a decent place to stay before an early flight to the airport, but if you're spending any significant time in Milwaukee, I'd look for nicer accommodation that is closer to town.

We stayed in this hotel on day 7 of a 17 day cross country roadtrip to attend a wedding in Michigan from Oregon. We mostly stay in Holiday Inns and my husband has been a member for several years and has been at the top tier mostly. We always get amazing service form IHG everywhere we go in several states and countries. Outstanding hotel compared to most. However, this hotel was sub par service and quality. It looks great and updated on the outside and surface however it has many flaws. First the hotel is busy being near the airport and they only have 1 washer and dryer and the dryer has to run 2 or 3 cycles to get your clothes dry ($2 a cycle). Secondly, the room smelled like moldy socks and our baby sleeping in the crib woke up drenched in water and the ceiling was leaking and smelled of chlorine. We notified the desk and they offered a larger room and about 2 hours later "upgraded" us to the same size room on the other side of the hotel that smelled like smoke and the save was not attached to the closet just wobbly. But it was better than leaking water so we took it and moved on. Besides that the hot tub was out of order and some of the doors wouldn't unlock with the key cards but most of the holiday inn hot tubs were closed along the way preparing for the labor day weekend I assume. Very disappointed in this hotel.

Outstanding hotel! The service was great, room was clean and up to date and the breakfast was good. Nothing much you can ask for. We will definitely be staying here again.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, well organized, and roomy. The location was very convenient. The hot breakfast was excellent. Overall I would stay there again in a heart beat and would refer any of my family and friends.

This hotel was a big disappointment. It is way overpriced for what you get. The rooms are "sort of" updated in terms of decor, however there are many details overlooked (old doors poorly painted over, old paint showing through newer ugly grey paint). The room had a not-so-fresh odor to it. The pool would be very fun and perfect for young children, however the water temperature was very cold. When I asked the front desk if they could raise the water temp, the attendee was aloof and basically told me that that would be hard to do. He wasn't accommodating at all. The hot tub was filthy, resulting in one of my family members getting pink-eye infection. The next day, the hot tub was drained and "under repair". The breakfast was okay, but nothing to write home about. Service was bad and not attentive. When I called the front desk to get an extra towel, the towel never came. I expected way more.

Great for business or pleasure. Clean, modern updated design. Friendliest staff. Perfect for families, kids will love the pool with fountains. Rooms are quiet even with everything happening here. Recommended for the business traveler taking the family along.

Not a bad hote but a little worn. They have signs indicating they have renovations on the way so I'm sure it'll be a good place to stay. Nice gym Close to the airport.

Great hotel, easy to get to off the freeway. Clean large room. Nice selection of channels on the TV. Enjoyed our stay! Close to downtown.

The hotel is nice and staff is very nice and sweet. We just had a few issues they had double charged me, the pool ended up getting closed to to a ventilation issue, the breakfast area was unorganized, Other people that were staying there let there young kids like 4-5 go and get food by themselves adding to the chaos. The General Manger Aubry and hotel employee Cassandra were wonderful l"And rectified the situation which made the stay alot better for us. We will go back another time.

Nice IHG property. The front staff was helpful, but the cleaning staff missed our room after the first day. The breakfast area could use an overhaul, it was really cramped at only a third or so capacity. Small things though, overall very nice.

Not the typical HIE, but with the typical breakfast. Has a happy hour, weekdays 5:00-8:00 Carpets are wore. My room smelt like sweaty feet.
