Free breakfast with nice, well taken care of rooms. Our phone didn't work in the room but we didn't need it anyway. Air conditioning was quiet, staff was very friendly and welcoming, beds were comfortable, and water pressure was good plus had no problem getting hot water. Definitely would return if in this area again.

Reserved a king room on their web site to be given a twin queen. As I understand it they don't keep their web site updated when they change rooms around. Disappointed in their response, just kind of too bad for you. Shower backed and had to wash while standing in dirty water. Breakfast was simple free buffet. I understand it was busy and there was no seating available, but the spot to leave your dishes was piled with dishes ready to topple. Would definitely look somewhere else. Room was clean though very noisy as it was next to the dinning room.

For the most part it was a typical inn, with typical breakfasts but I did experience a couple creepy critters slowly crawling, slowly being the opt word so they were able to be stopped in their tracks.

Very friendly staff, great hot breakfast with many choices, and extremely clean rooms. Highly recommended. The only thing I didn't love was the Google directions to the hotel didn't say you had to turn into a driveway north of the hotel and drive down the driveway passing several other hotels. There wasn't even a Country Inn sign at the driveway. It made it much more difficult to find in the dark.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, dogs are welcome and two of them barked for a long time at night. Also, because of the renovations/ paint jobs, we had to hip check the door every time we wanted to get into our room and slam the door every time we wanted to close it. Just down the road are plenty of great places to eat — both fast food and sit down restaurants. The continental breakfast was average.

Clean and simple pet friendly hotel (first floor rooms are all tiled). A couple minutes off the turnpike exit, close to everything the Firelands had to offer. Breakfast is included; assorted cereals, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, various juices, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. There is a small pool 3-5 ft deep. Staff is friendly and very helpful, resolving any issue in an expeditionary manner. The hotel is across the street from a factory that manufactures roofing shingles and depending how the wind blows, can bring a distinct odor to the air. A small fitness room for cardio is available. Five star rating based on value.

Very nice hotel. Close to Ohio Turnpike. Excelent pool. Friendly staff. Clean inside and out. 20 minutes to Cedar Point. Pet friendly with hardwood like tile flooring. Nice high pressure showers with lots of hot water… just what is wanted after being at Cedar Point all day! Shower before entering pool of course!

The establishment was nice and clean. The deskpeople were friendly and helpful. It has a different, but welcome feel compared to most other hotels.

Newly remodeled hotel. Difficult to get access to the location. No signs or information. The model was nice but can tell was done quickly.

This was a wonderful place! The service was awesome, Kelly was the lady who helped us out tremendously after my dispute with Expedia!

Friendly staff. Updated rooms that are still a work in progress but really nice. Just off the turnpike. Has room for truck parking.

We were not informed at booking that the property had been renovated. I was disappointed in the details of a recent renovation. The lobby and breakfast area were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rest of the property seems to be getting a freshening up. Fridge and microwave had not been installed. No towel bars or TP holder. Tub was reglazed and new tile but the trim was missing or painted wood. Original doors and handles. TV picture quality was washed out on some cable stations. Key card was fussy. Broken ice maker. Stairs had not been vacuumed in days and showed the age of the property. Storage containers still in the parking area. Maybe they should have finished the project before accepting reservations.

We happened to stay when they were in the middle of renovating so we missed out on a lot of creature comforts and returned one day during our stay to our door wide open because of a careless cleaning staff member and/or the sticky door left over from renovations. The manager here is AMAZING and totally helpful — — also seems to be doing 3 peoples jobs each day including answering phones, running desk and keeping the breakfast buffet stocked. He needs a raise!

Rating would have been a 4 but the hotel is under remodel and is not finished. The room we stayed was clean and presentable but did not have some light bulbs and could tell was just completed. Staff was great and very helpful and friendly. Should be a great place once completed.

Terrific service for a late night check-in with cookies breakfast in the lobby was fantastic. We will definitely go to a country inn again!

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star but because of the staff they make it feel like one. They have many varieties of food from making your own waffles to yogurt and oatmeal. But the food tasted very bland. And don't even get me started on the rooms, although we have a small dog we didn't expect to have a carpet stained room. The rooms are dated & could use an upgrade. The rooms are basic so for the rate I guess you get what you pay for. All staff were so pleasant & accommodating. Whoever did the hiring & training here did a great job!

It was a good experience overall, clean, neat, and organized. The pool was outside and the workout room was cramped lacking a lot. The service was great and polite.

Really enjoyes are stsy and will serk out Country Inn & Suites for all travels.

Great place to stay even better for those who have pets! Remodel for spring of 2018 go check it out! You wont regret it!

I stayed in their King Size Whirlpool Suite and it was a nice size room. Whirlpool seated 2 average sized adults comfortably, but it could be a bit deeper. Also, it would be nice if the suite had a microwave inside the room. But, at least there's one in the lobby and I had a very mini fridge in the room. The TV was only 32" so I think a 40" would have been nicer. But, it had really good sound, in fact, I kept turning it down later in the night because I didn't want to be disturbing the other rooms. The air conditioner would fine because I was able to moderate how hot or cold I wanted it in the room. It had a nice, strong fan that controlled the temperature of the room. The staff are very pleasant and courteous, so I have no complaints in that area. Although I missed their 6am-10am breakfast, they have an elaborate spread of choice from different types of cereal, waffles, and I believe bagels as well. Lastly, my reason for 4 out 5 stars is because their air vents in the bathroom are filthy and need to be vacuumed. You can literally see all of the dust and dirt outside of the vent. So, I would say that they should make cleaning their vents part of the housekeeping weekly or bi-weekly tasks. I attached a picture to show how dirty it is. I wasn't bothered by this personally, but if we are talking about rating the condition of the hotel and its room, then I need to talk about the good and bad. Overall, I'd stay here again at their Sandusky-Milan, OH location.

Nice place for an overnight. Rooms are decent. Bed is not great. Breakfast was very good.

Very clean. Average rooms are to be redecorated fall-winter of 2017. Better suites, queen-sized beds. Bfast lacked — eggs! No eggs (neither hot nor cold). Otherwise, normal breakfast. Clean area. Outdoor pool. When closed for the season, patrons can go to the neighboring hotel. Open til 1am. Works. Quiet vicinity.

Stayed for two days with a large group of people while we went to Cedar Point (it's about a 20 min drive to and from hotel). There are a lot of amenities near by such as Walmart, Kohl's, restaurants, etc. They were able to accommodate most of our rooms being together. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making sure that guests were comfortable and seeing if they needed anything. The outdoor pool was great. It was clean, heated and had towels on the side. The only con was that there wasn't a fridge or microwave, so we just contentiously went to the ice bucket to keep drinks cold. They do have a sign up stating they will be adding larger beds, microwaves and mini fridges to the rooms by Spring 2018, so they clearly do listen to customers to improve everyone's experience. Breakfast was provided and had a decent selection. Bagels, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc. The main thing is that the rooms were clean! I always check the beds before I get into them. I would stay here again and recommend it!

Nice heated pool to swim in if you can get past the smell outside. It was nice having a breakfast bar. I loved the waffles one makes for themselves with the waffle iron. Waffles came out great. The room was clean but everything from the bedding to curtains clashed. They are starting renovations on the rooms soon. They will be more updated and offer more, like a mini fridge and microwave. They have a small area they call a country store, free popcorn and cookies. The lending library is just a couple shelves of books located in the dining area. Fresh towels daily but not much cleaning done before 2nd night stay.

Thank You to your Staff very friendly! Great service clean rooms, granddaughters loved the swans & little notes… We all enjoyed our stay & breakfast! Delma was a very pleasant & sweet person, she treated everyone like family… Can't forget Earl he was also great with us! Great team workers! Thanks to all. Very recommended…

Most helpful, friendly staff I've ever encountered. Great breakfast. Comfy beds. Only downsides were the main areas were very cold and no fridge/microwave in the room. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Very neat and nice ambience. Excellent for one night stay or more. Worth for money. Bf is very nice you and every thing available for to eat. Dining area is very good. Gym and pool is also available. Very near for Kalahari water park. Highly recommended!

The hotel is nice and clean. Free breakfast is great and rooms are comfortable. There are no options for king size bed with sofa bed or pullout bed which is a bummer. Front desk service is great but the hotel lacks basic things like a do not disturb door hanger. Beds are uncomfortable when compared to higher end hotels but are comparable to hotels at this price point. I would definitly choose this hotel over the nearest howard johnson or super 8, this hotel is niver and seems recently renovated.

The room was very nice with a very comfy bed, and nice bathroom. There should be somewhere in the shower to set soap but there is not. Also there was a small amount of trash under the bed which isn't a big deal but shows that they don't completely clean the rooms.

This place is really nice for the price. It's not new, but it's clean, well-kept, does not smell, and has comfortable beds — all you need for a good night's rest. You can stay here for half the price of the hotel next door.

Got there late but the counter person was very nice. She upgraded our room and even offered us a late check out. The room sermed clean (but did have that motel smell). Only complaint is the tree outside our window kept hitting the window at night. Otherwise it was a nice place if passing through on the turn pike or looking for a cheap stay tor the local attractions.

Clean, new, decent free breakfast, and friendly staff for a late night check in. Great value for the price and perfect for an overnight on a road trip.
