This is a fallen beauty.
Exterior Doors on the street have tape across them. Don’t expect a grand entrance. There’s a loaded homeless person half sleeping against the former entry.
The valet spends his time at the one entry bent over his phone. No elegant attired doormen.
The rooms are incredibly small. No fridge. The coffee machine is hidden in one of the drawers that do open.
The clock radio is so old it holds the wide pinned iPod.
If you sit on the toilet, the door hits you in the knee.
It looks like the Shining with the wild color carpet which needs restretching. You could surf the bumps down the hall.
No ice machines. Go to the front desk.
My room was listed as $699 a night/$724 for a double. No way. It wasn’t as nice as the Sheraton I got in Towson in March fir $99.
Historically, it needs preserved but it is ridiculous to pay a reduced parking fee of $20 a night (as a conference attendee) the regular rate is double that.
What a sad decline.
About the parking, it must be reached by walking outside a half block and getting in a tiny elevator for the 2nd and 3rd floors. Valet gets the first floor.
The halls are painted a dingy grey and they aren’t brightly lit.
The lobby fountain is boarded over.
The room a/c is set to 65 and only gets as low as 68.
I could go on, but I’m tired. I’m embarrassed I asked my friends to come to this event.

The most friendly staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. Very historical building in the heart of Cleveland. Their restaurants are not open due to covid-19 but there are plenty place to eat in walking distance. The lobby bar has food though. Rooms where very clean! I would highly recommend this place. You don't even have to go outside to get to Jacks casino or Rocket Mortgage Field House.

My room was not cleaned thoroughly, my toilet was clogged, and I was not able to get a new room because they were booked.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Booked a ten room block — May 2019. Bellboy stole $250 of uncashed poker chips (from the Casino next door) out of our possessions as he took them to the car. Renaissance Cleveland Security and Staff were awful to deal with when trying to resolve the issue… They didn’t call the Police, even though it was a theft. Very rude too.
Marriot Corporate weren’t any better in helping us deal with the matter. I’ve been waiting since July 2019 for a phone call from an insurance company that I’ve not received. I would have imagined, based on the size of our party and the money spent on the booking that they’d be willing to assist me in resolving this matter… I was wrong! They intentionally overcharged us at the bar for a bottle of wine. I had to argue the matter with staff to get refunded the difference of the overcharge. Based on other reviews on this Facebook page, I’m not the only person the staff have stolen from!

Comfortable rooms, convenient location to all of downtown and a beautiful historic building. Always top notch service. With covid, valet parking was not available and getting was a little tricky as the doors we were told to use would not open. Oops! Other than that small issue, perfect! I especially love the bathrooms in the rooms. Our first room, last year was a marble wonder with a super tall ceiling. This year it was a little smaller but still very elegant.

Large well-appointed room over looking Lake Erie in an almost empty hotel. We were the only people on the 12th floor. I’m mindful that businesses are s-l-o-w-l-y opening up and that is the case here. Restaurants all closed and the bar open with limited hours and a grumpy bartender who didn’t seem to want to be there. Adjoining parking garage is FILTHY with broken glass and over flowing trash cans.

We had a very spacious room for our weekend at the dance convention being hosted in the hotel. The quick foods offered were reasonably priced and surprisingly good to eat. (we have been places where this is not the case). My only complaint has to do with parking. I valet park. At 30+bucks a day. Add in my hotel fees and I have spent &500 plus in your hotel and I can not het parking extended an extra hour to accommodate the end of our conference without a $27 charge. I moved the car to a lot across the street for $10 but this was by far the most irritating part of my weekend in the hotel. Next time ill just park across the street the whole weekend.

Only thing that was good about this hotel was it was close to the casino the photos on the website did not look like the room just booked a queen size bed room was very cramped I don’t think I’ll ever stay at a Marriott hotel again I know where to go in the room with the elbow to elbow are usually don’t post bad things about stays when we got in the room it was 58° the heat wasn’t even on you would think they would have the room ready but no icicles could’ve been hanging from the ceiling I will take my stay somewhere else next time. Which I go to Cleveland a lot Maybe they will make it right I’m not sure ice machine on our floor was out of order smelled like someone was smoking marijuana all over cops were on our floor people were screaming I hope there’s something They can do about this. Just not experience I expected staying at this type of hotel I hope they make it right.

Was very beautiful the place and the staff were excellent.

We stayed the night for an event. The place in general although nice you can tell hasn’t been revamped. I don’t know why but the place is a sauna. Even our room with the AC on blast was just uncomfortable. The rooms are nothing special and also fairly outdated. Going outside after sunset and even during the evening there are a lot of homeless and what not hanging out in front of the hotel. Surprisingly no security on part of the hotel we ever saw. Overall for the bloated cost of parking plus the room you can stay in a much nicer Marriott Autograph collection. We wouldn’t do it again unless we had no other choice.

Bellboy stole $250 of uncashed poker chips from our belongings early May… STILL haven’t received the money back. Head of Security and the Manager are both useless and rude: ‘We will not apologise because that is admitting guilt… I’m not sure how they deal with things in the UK but we don’t do it like that in the US’ — Manager, Donald.
I also ordered a bottle of wine and was overcharged — Had to get a refund on the overcharge the next morning once I’d realised. Wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there.

Went there for a fundraiser and it was a stunning hotel with plenty of room!

Great staff and service. Good food. Beautiful facilities and classic furnishings.
But the Wi-Fi setup is confiscatory in price and Byzantine in complexity.
Most hotels have stopped punishing guests in this way.

The over abundance of beautiful Christmas decorations did not fail to please. This entire hotel is old world and over the top. The bar tenders at the Lobby Court are EXCELLENT.

From the second you enter the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, you're aware of the kind of experience you'll have during your stay. The entrance was rather elegant and this theme continued to the check-in counter, where staff was very accommodating and courteous. Was fortunate enough to have a view of Lake Erie, and being in town to see baseball it was helpful that the Renaissance is only half a mile away from Progressive Field. Several nearby restaurants and a well-stocked fitness center help make the Renaissance Cleveland an ideal location to stay.

I'm sitting in the room right now. There is a room service tray with dirty dishes sitting in the hallway at 9pm at night that had been there since I checked in. The room smells like water was left on the carpet to mold. The toilet is so low to the ground it is difficult to use. The shower tiles are not clean and the sheets are heavily wrinkled. I complained about the old food service tray three hours ago and its still there. The food smell is starting to make me ill. I will not stay here again. You could not pay me to stay here again. If my husband and mother were in any state to be moved tonight we would not still be here. I will actively advise people not to stay at this hotel, if you like a clean fresh hotel that is actually four star do not stay here!

Took a star off, as the indoor pool is closed currently, undergoing renovation, however was still shown as having a pool on Google, and other hotel apps. Hotel has a great downtown location and is really close to everything. The room was nice and large, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great selection to choose from. Would return, but would likely be after the pool is done, as we like to swim after a day of site seeing.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel looks beautiful. The view of Public Square was great. The location is great being within walking distance of just about everything downtown. It could use some updating though. The carpet in my room could be restretched. Some of the tiling in the bathroom needs some touch-up. Some of the numbers on the doors were visibly dented. It is an old building, that's a fact, so it's understandable that it doesn't have a that modern look, but the rooms still need to be maintained a little better. Besides that I would definitely visit again.

Beautiful art deco hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Pros: easy walk to baseball and basketball stadiums, slightly longer to the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Wonderful front desk service, an executive lounge with light meals included. Beautiful architectural details. Cons: pay parking, A/C was working too hard and blowing on us in bed, Food in the lounge ran out in 5 min. And took 15 to replenish.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. I feel as if I'm in a price of art. I prefer to stay here over the newer hotels. This place is very accommodating of your needs. The place is absolutely beautiful I can't say that enough. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable. I'm in Cleveland every 3 months for the clinic, I've stayed everywhere and this is my favorite. It's also very affordable.

First, the good: it's an old, grand building that has been renovated. The rooms are nice it's a good location if you need to be in that immediate downtown area. Also, the staff is well-trained and really fantastic. The bad: although the downstairs in lobby area is ornate, beautiful architecture, the building is way past its prime, and I would imagine it's a complete money pit. That said, some corporation put a ton of money into the renovation. There is still a hint of it being a bit dirty and unfinished. The carpets in that lower area, although beautifully printed, are faded and have seen better days. The downtown, indoor mall that is attached to the hotel is suffering from inner-city blight. Look, I'm being nitpicky here, the truth is it's nice, the beds are comfortable, the pillows are great and the rest of what I've said is just the hotel slapping you around a little bit and saying, Hey pal, you're in Cleveland, remember?

The Renaissance is a historic property in a central location, just a short walk from 4th Street. While we enjoyed the public areas (the lobby is beautiful) and received great service from hotel staff, our room left something to be desired. As other reviewers have noted, it could definitely use an update. The bathroom in particular was not very clean, and the sink did not drain properly. I expected nicer from Renaissance, but because I got a reasonable rate I was still satisfied with my stay.

The rooms were great and spacious and the beds we're very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helped us out pretty quickly. The only thing was in our room, the water took forever to get warm for a shower, over 5 min. Besides that, it was great.

Lovely elegant hotel, rooms are updated and the staff is friendly. We love Tamarra. She has checked us in for both visits. Bright smile and so helpful! The only thing we miss is a fridge in the room, everything else is great, rooms are clean, beds are comfy!

This hotel was not at all accommodating, they charged 36.00$ to park there and asked 28.00$ for a bell hop when we booked they showed a 2 room suite with a fridge and plush chair, the fridge and chair were for my diabetic father when we got there it was nothing more than a nice looking motel 6 as a matter of fact the motel 6 in in right now is almost as nice and more accommodating.

My favorite hotel at Cleveland. Very nice view from room. Hotel is big and big rooms. I always get an upgrade which is very interesting. Staff is always great and professional. Very good bar tenders as well. In the heart of downtown what more do you want.

2nd time stayed at this property. Staff is friendly and personable. Made me feel like I was their only customer. Room was nice and clean. They don't build hotels like this anymore, walls are thick and solid making the room quiet.

Old Hotel, which feels like you're in The Shining. Good and bad at the same time, definitely interesting rustic look, but if you like modern bathroom and USB plugs, find something else. For instance, no heating system, they told you to open the window and hope it's warmer outside! Noisy as well, you can hear the hall pretty easily.

The valet and the hotel have zero communication with each other so make sure they have your car in the garage if you're stay at the hotel! They almost left mine in an empty lot across the street if I wouldn't have noticed. Then tried to charge me 25 extra dollars after the 30 I already paid to move it into the garage because I wasn't given a receipt for the first payment.

Horrible experience. I checked out and didn't stay. I drove to Columbus, Ohio and stayed at Hotel LeVeque which was 5 star! Room was so outdated and I could smell the room service food of adjacent room in my room. The heat didn't work and it wasn't clean enough for me to even get into bed. It freaked me out, do I left after being there for about 30 minutes. They didn't refund my one nights room cost which was a rip off. Funny thing was the Ritz Carlton recommended this place and booked the room for me so I thought it would have been nicer. Do not stay here!

Location is pretty central in downtown. The food is always good, but the hotel itself is very dark inside, at conference rooms and hotel rooms. Great surroundings but too dark for the money spent.

Older historic building that is being updated on some of the floors now. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and had a nice comforter. Only heat in the rooms, so open your windows if you need cooler air. Fitness center was nice and had dumbbells up to 50 lbs. With cardio and a cable machine. Location is downtown with food within easy walking distance.

Clean hotel. The San saucci had a delicious flat bread we all enjoyed. The quesadilla was standard fare. The service was wonderful and the valets were most helpful. The front desk did mix up the billing but other than that everything was great. Sally who answers the phone is most helpful. Tim was also a great help to our group. Would stay again. Location is great for going around downtown.

I stayed at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel for my company's annual spring event, which was being hosted at the hotel. The check in process was easy and our rooms were ready early, which I was happy about. The hotel itself is very nice, but our room was extremely outdated. I have stayed at Hampton Inn's that I felt had nicer hotel rooms. We wanted to grab a drink at the hotel bar before our event started, but the hotel bar was an absolute disaster. It took 1.5 hours to get two glasses of wine. We were barely acknowledged the entire time. The only good thing I can say is that our first round of drinks were comped. Of all the hotels available in Cleveland, I would not recommend staying here. Choose a Hilton hotel instead. They are always cleaner and nicer and their customer service is always superior.

It is a elegant and fancy hotel. Looks like it is so old and the staff is so friendly. I was kind of disappointed I chose to stay in a hotel located in the downtown looking to do something at night but everything around was closed at 9pm.

I enjoyed my stay here for a wedding reception, but had to call maintenance for a door that wouldn't close. They came within 20 minutes. That was fine. Did not affect my review. However, they did not offer me a discount when I reserved a room, but if I had been a member of the NRA, I'd received one. Totally not happy with that kind of support.

What a great place! We came into town to celebrate my birthday. The room was great! The staff was super efficient and friendly from the valet who helped us get in out of the frigid temps to the young man Evan who checked us in. Great experience!

With places multiple places to eat within walking distance and attached within tower city it is your one stop if you are looking to stay in heart of Cleveland and experience all that Cleveland has to offer.

This was a perfect hotel for our visit. I came to Cleveland for a concert at Quicken Loans Arena and didn't know until we arrived that the hotel was connected to the mall which was connected to the Q. It was so convenient! The staff was very nice and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just checked in. Will update later but… Rooms are dirty and not updated (messy caulk in bathroom, peeling wallpaper, stains on carpet and furniture), room is hot as building is only on heat now, no one offered to help with luggage, the club lounge smelled and had no napkins, front staff were not friendly, said I got an upgrade then had to retract, and location is in high loitering area. Plenty of other places to stay in the city at slightly higher prices but much better condition. We stayed because it had a pool for the kids. The pictures are deceiving. Nice bar though which we need.

Pretty place. Classic and classy. It would have been awesome but the people on the bar and the housekeeper didn't do their work properly… too slow service and poor cleaning of the room. It's a shame that a nice place like this have that people.

My experience was poor, and I made that known to the hotel management. But the management made it worse. I detailed my experience to management and then the Director of Room Operations contacted me by email and telephone. I could not return her call but I responded several times by email. Crickets… have heard nothing back from this woman in about six weeks. Apparently, I am being ignored because I have given the hotel a poor review. Issues happen but the follow up from management is very important to ensure good customer service and goodwill. The management of this hotel does not care about the customer after the bill is paid. This is a poor reflection on the Marriott family of hotels.

Conveniently located, connected to the Tower City Mall, which sits on top of a train station. A very Tokyo like set up. If Yu are coming from the airport you can take the train directly to the mall and the hotel is called connected. It's nice enough. The only thing I can think to comment on is the garage which isn't really set up with safe walkways and doesn't feel/ look very safe. Oh and the AC units are ancient.

Close to the Casino which shows with the type of people hanging around outside the property, don't know if I'd want to be walking around too much after dusk.

No Service whatsoever. I booked a room as I have to be in town for a trial. The trial was cancelled so I called to cancel the room. After being placed on hold to talk to a reservations clerk, she finally came on the line, she couldn't find my reservation by name and then told me I don't have one. I dug the confirmation number out of the client file and tried to call back three times. Three time nobody picked up the phone, not even a automatic messaging service! It just rang and rang until it went to a busy signal. I'm a businessman and my time is limited. I don't have 10-15 minutes to waste attempting to get through on a telephone line, to cancel a reservation because the hotel can't find me in their records and the hotel is too understaffed to answer their phones. If this hotel can't provide so simple a service as answering a phone (a common courtesy), they don't deserve my custom. I WILL re-book, but it will be at ANOTHER hotel.

Gorgeous! 1408 could have been filmed in this hotel. So awesome to sleep in the comfy beds! Could have used a good vacuuming however and we didn't have shampoo in the room. Did not take dirt glasses when cleaning and leave fresh. Appreciate the gentleman who brought up the mini fridge! Super nice staff. Bartender a bit short when asking questions and not staffed for the hundreds who descended post U2 after the show… casino drew some really "savory" characters a little too close for comfort but the police presence was comforting. Beautiful city and hotel! Cannot wait to return after the remodel! The atrium was really cool! Need a lounge / bar there for adults and food service. Maybe a nice happy hour in the atrium!

We stayed one night 6/24-25. Accentuating the positive — those that I interacted in Housekeeping were very friendly, helpful and customer service oriented. The room decor was nice. Other than that — at check in the young man at the counter stated that we had a "great" view and actually our room faced a wall of other rooms with a slight view of the parking lot across Superior, the room was quite small (in all fairness because it's an historical site there is little to no room for renovations/ expanding) this guy knew exactly the room we were assigned and certainly could have been honest. I called ahead for parking pricing and was told that self park — $18 and valet — $27 only to find out at arrival that it's 27 & 32 respectively. Also, all things considered they're overpriced. I don't plan to ever stay at the Renaissance Downtown Cleveland, Oh again.

This is a very old hotel. The bed and sheets are comfy, the decor is cool, and it's very rustic. Outside of that the hotel is incredibly dated and hopefully is going through renovations. The location is right downtown and has 27$ parking fee which is 'okay'. The garage is kind of in bad shape as well though. I'm not sure this will be my first choice next time.

My husband and I stayed here last night for a weekend getaway. We were walking distance from the Indians game, which was a perk. Even though it was a short stay, we would for sure recommend and will definitely return. The room was very nice. Nothing fancy but had everything we needed. The staff we encountered were all very helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was great and the service was perfect. The Renaissance is a super cool, historical place to stay. I would definitely recommend to family and friends!

Beautiful Hotel With a great History. Walking to shops and Casino, and the breakfast was fabulous. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is well kept for the most part. I feel the room carpet should be cleaned better. The carpet felt dusty under the feet. I have also seen a cockroach in my bathroom once. Upon notifying the front desk they were very apologetic about the incident. They compensated me with points for one day's worth. Otherwise, the staff is very nice.

Awesome place to stay in downtown cleveland. You don't even have to go outside to get to the horseshoe casino or tower city shopping. Awesome vintage architecture, just a cool place to stay. Also, theres a nice bar in the lobby, which was extremely convenient. I Will definitely stay here on my next trip to cleveland.

Wifi is only free in the lobby. They want to charge $14 for ONE DAY for it in your room. They sit upon a throne of lies! Room itself was okay, but if I could've put zero stars I would've for the principle of listing Wi-Fi as an amenity and only providing it free in the lobby. It's a blatant cash grab and break of customer trust. Shame on them.

Our friends and us were staying a weekend at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel. We reserve the same weekend each year for swimming championships. We will NEVER return. Friends of ours advised us of their bad experience last year and 22 families stayed elsewhere because of this. We are frequent travelers and have over 8 months worth of night stays at the Marriott chain just in the past 22 months alone. We are not "rookies" to travel for sure. We were playing a game with our young children and the parents. When each child would win, we would quickly cheer for them! This was all occurring before 10pm on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, our friends had a knock on their suite door from security removing us from their room. No warning. No nothing. We were advised that this was their "policy" and their next step was to "evict us, and do we know what that means? ". 1) we are all master's or doctorate level professionals. We are all quite versed in the English language. Please don't speak down to us like children. 2) if there was a noise concern, please call us and advise us of your concern. Our children were in tears due to the gruff nature of the confrontation, and we would have happily cheered for our children quieter if that was brought to our attention in a more professional way, or frankly even at all. We have NEVER in our hundreds of nights of staying at any hotel been addressed by security as being told to evacuate a room due to our noise.

For the price, you're better off exploring your options elsewhere. I travel for business every week and stay at Marriotts fairly often (70+ nights last year). By far this has been the most disappointing. Rooms are small and don't even offer the basics (like a refrigerator or coffee pot). We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and we got 1 king size and a cot that was pretty uncomfortable even for a 8 year old boy. You can't control the temperature in your room. There's only a cooling unit, so during the winter you're at the mercy of whatever the hotel thinks is warm enough. I saw a couple of guests requesting space heaters, which to me is pretty lame if you're paying 300+ a night. The bathroom in the room was very dated… not in a charming way as you might think. Don't waste your time with the restaurant in the hotel. Service is slow and the food is pretty subpar. You're better off eating at one of the restaurants in the mall.

Room was nice and clean but since it was a historical room there was no thermastat for the heat they must control that somewhere else in the hotel was glad it was warm since it was quite cold in Ohio in February but was a little to warm for sleeping. Everyone is always nice there. We have stayed there numerous times and will stay again, we have to make a trip to cleveland every month for my husbands treatment at The Cleveland Clinic and about every 6 months we have many appointments in one day so we just end up staying instead of driving 3 hours back home.

The location of the hotel is fairly conveniently close to downtown, though it suffers from being attached to the hideous Horseshoe casino. This proximity also means the less-than-savory clientele of the casino is always loitering outside waiting for buses, mixed in with the vagrants, providing a less than secure atmosphere. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The bathrooms are well-designed with an appealing white motif. The TV was oddly placed quite far across the room from the bed; that being the case, the TV size should have been much larger to adjust for this distance. It was surprising for the room to not feature a refrigerator, as well as the basic internet service not being free.

Good hotel room with nice old time lobby. The parking was a disaster with their lot full and no reasonable alternative. I even called twice right before arrival to ensure I knew where to park and they said nothing. When I called because the lot was full they provided no alternatives which left us driving randomly to find an overnight lot. The result was an additional $40 parking fee.

Very nice hotel. We came in for a very short stay and therefore didn't use much of the amenities that were available. The room as extremely clean and the decor tasteful. It was nicely decorated for the holidays and the staff that we did have contact with were polite and helpful.

I can't say enough about this hotel it was wonderful. I am normally ready to head home after a couple days to get in my own bed I didn't want to leave. From the check in to having drinks at bar near the lobby it was wonderful. The room was clean the beds were wonderful the linens and towels clean and soft. Beautiful place the only downfall is they charge for parking and Wi-Fi.

The room was very large. Two queen beds. Very nice full size bathroom. The main area had plenty room for relaxing and entertaining. The evening turn down service was excellent with local snacks provided. The staff was very friendly and the concierge lounge was perfect with a great staff. Overall a very elegant establishment. Would definitely go back.

I have no idea where these people are coming from. It's a fantastic hotel in a great location. Beautiful and grand, just awesome. Rooms and beds are great and the staff is fantastic. Cheers. Go browns!

Room was ok. Nice staff. There should be some kind of security outside! Couldn't walk to casino without getting harassed! Lots of homeless and inappropriate behavior! Very scary!

The staff in this hotel are beyond outstanding! They made our experience excellent! Thank you to all of you especially Tonda in the Club Room! Jim in valet, Billy in security, Dale and Seth in banquets, so many more to thank!

We are attending a conference and the staff has been wonderful! They're very helpful and friendly. What is disappointing is that this grand hotel is not kept clean nor has it been updated. There is old carpeting in main hallways that is worn and torn and lobby areas, hallways and elevators that are very dirty. Something this grand deserves to be kept clean! We have had to clean tables and areas so we can lounge in those beautiful rooms. In guest rooms there is only one temperature. Cold. Update this! Marriott. Invest in this place. It is a gem that needs to be tended to! The staff is great. Make this facility just as great.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location. 10 minute walk to East 4th, Progressive Field, and The Q.

We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. My daughter is in a wheelchair and we needed a wheelchair accessible room. We were given a room on the 10th floor. When we went into the room, there was a terrible smell like something had died in the room. My husband went to one of the Maids on the floor and got spray to get rid of the smell. As we were going downstairs to the reception, the elevators were not working. We called the front desk and were told there was an issue and they would be working in a few minutes. After waiting another 10 minutes we called again and were told they were working and would be there momentarily. After another 20 minutes and 2 more phone calls, the elevator arrived. My husband and daughter are very claustrophobic and were very reluctant to get into the elevator due to the "issues", but we had no choice because we could not get a wheelchair down 10 flights of stairs. When we arrived in the lobby, we found out that there was not an issue with the elevators, they were in fact, shut down due to the Baltimore Ravens arriving at the hotel for a football game the next day. This made us late to the reception as well as my husband and daughter having anxiety attacks. I was told by the bride and groom to notify the Hotel Manager about the situation and they were to give any guest that was affected by this "elevator issue" either refunds or reduced room rates. When I notified the manager, she was very rude and offered me an upgraded room on my next visit.

Upscale but rooms are small. Decor up to date. You can hear doors and people in halls. Located on Public Square of downtown Cleveland. Accessible to Tower City and Horseshoe Casino, without going outside. Not worth $399 per night but I wasn't paying so okay.

After dropping my wife off at the door while I parked the car in my regular garage nearby (parking was $18) they refused to let her check in even with my credit card I booked the room under. The room was very dated looking, but the worst part was the heating. You basically have two options of HEAT or NO HEAT. These are at least 25 years old. Woke up a few times in the night freezing or frying. For the price you can find better. The bed was comfortable.

I agree with other reviewers that this place is very old and needs some serious renovation. I had to stay here this time but am definitely not coming back.

Very small room! I could not believe we paid the same price for this room as others in our party did for their rooms that were almost twice the size! The bed was the most uncomfortable little bed I've ever slept in. Two days later, and my back is still hurting. The little travel size lotion bottle in the bathroom was 1/2 empty! eww! And who was the genius to put an outdoor pool in Cleveland!? How about an indoor pool!? We'll stay somewhere else next time.

We booked our room and expected 4 Star accommodations. The room we got was severely outdated. 1960 era wallpaper and carpet, peeling paint, banging pipes inside the walls every time someone in another room turned on the water. We booked a double bed room but got a single Queen. They sent up a roll-away bed then billed our card $50.00 extra for it. There is no breakfast, and no internet included in the price.

I did the early check-in, as I always do, with my weekend travels. I show up to check in around 2:30 to find out the room isn't available. No problem. I walked around the mall and went to the Horseshoe to kill an hour and a half. I go back to the lobby to find out the room still isn't ready. I wait in the lobby another hour to find out it still isn't ready. I cancelled my reservation and went elsewhere.

The hotel is overpriced and not worth the amount I had to pay. You can hear when anyone is talking in the halls as the insallation seems to be quite thin. You can also hear people in the rooms next to you. I heard the phone ringing in the room next to me every morning at 6am when they were getting their wake up call. Not in a very good area of town either.
