A great conversion from an early 1900’s bank. Great staff, nice rooms, perfect location for a wedding reception or large corporate meetings.

Staff so far has been spectacular. Much better experience at this hotel than last stay elsewhere. I will stay here in upcoming trips.

It was great but the 3rd floor really gave us chills, erie and creepy vibes to the point I got really uncomfortable and became really scared because of the picture of queen mary and I had to go back to our room but other than that it was great.

I hate to do this, but don’t book a room at Renaissance-Cincinnati Downtown They’re extremely rude and told me that we brought them. They charged me for 2 nights after we checked out and left once we were aware of the situation. Long story short, my assistant contacted them prior to booking bc I wanted to do some videography/photography for my brand. I had a Model stay there the night before so that we’d be on time the following day. Within a hour she noticed the bed bugs. She counted 6. (I have a video, but for some reason it won’t let me attach it. ) check out the video on my personal page. This Honestly put a damper in my day bc at the last minute I had to find another hotel with good scenery that allowed photography/videography. I’ve spoken with Lisa who I believe is in charge of sales and Rebecca who is the general manger. Neither were willing to accommodate me. In fact they were very verbally aggressive and rude. I explained to them that I simply wanted to be refunded. It’s bad enough to possibly be facing the financial burden of a bed beg coming home with me! A nightmare I know!
Please share this so that others are aware and don’t risk taking bed bugs home. Beware‼️

Was in town for the Cincinnati Music event! Room are very large and comfortable. Called for towels and had to call a few times took over 2 hours to receive! Lighting is not the best in the restroom! But the shower is nice and large! No microwave but the bar has a great selection and the food was very tasteful!

FOR ALL BRIDES: We had our hotel block at the Renaissance and sometime between Saturday and Sunday my wallet was raided when I left for our wedding. They stole gift cards and jewelry and we had to cancel all of our credit cards immediately after we realized what had happened. To not be able to entrust your belongings when you are focused on your wedding is the epitome of low for a hotel. While getting ready for your most special day, the last thing on your mind should be to hide all of your belongings. We could have had our block anywhere in Cincinnati and we felt the Renaissance would be a perfect selection but I am just utterly disgusted and disappointed in our experience. We had a number of other issues with the staff and I will say this was my biggest regret from the wedding. I would advise against getting ready / having your bridal suite here. Although it may seem like common sense to lock up all your belongings when you leave, during your wedding you have enough to worry about. Choose a hotel that is trusting and will follow-up accordingly. They only refunded half of our room charge (and my husband is a rewards member).

Had their restaurant week dinner and it was pretty good. The portions were huge compared to other restaurant week restaurants we've been to. Love the vibe, got to eat dinner on a comfy couch. Only complaint is the bar is loud and not totally separated from where we had dinner. Very nice service overall.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and its been great both times. The staff is AWESOME, especially the guys at the valet. I got a free upgrade to my room this time, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm always in town for the annual Cincinnati Music Festival, so it would've been great if room service was 24hrs or at least open later the weekend of this show. Nonetheless, I have no complaints about this hotel at all. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

We stayed there for a wedding. They shuttled us to and from the church and the reception there was AMAZING! The staff was absolutely GREAT! Our room was beautiful! I highly recommend it! Gina & Ron Cole.

I was only there for an event. Hotel was really nice and well laid out. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely host an event here in the future.

What a wonderful hotel to stay in for work! Stayed here about 2 weeks ago for 8 days and there is not one single complaint about the staff or the management. The housekeepers always had the right amount of clean towels, always kept the room clean and organize before we got back from work. The bar and lounge downstairs is a nice place to relax and work with a variety of drinks and meals. They are pricey but I can't complaint because of the quality. One more thing… their pillows and mattresses are top notch!

Large rooms with plenty of room for all your breeds. Updated decor and fixtures blended with historical architecture. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Will stay again.

Was here for business and stayed at this place bcuz it was in walking distance of work. The hotel itself is beautiful. I was there just before Christmas and it was very nicely decorated. The room was gorgeous. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Their employees were extremely nice and very helpful. I ordered room service twice and both times my meals were amazing! The only downfall were the sketchy people hanging out on the street on the way back to the hotel from work.

Location is good. However, I was highly disappointed with my experience. I have been overcharged. Instead of 2 days, I was charged for 3. I have called the hotel several times, left message with the accounts department but no one calls back. When I checked in, as a gold elite member, I was expecting upgrade and breakfast vouchers. None came through. Very underwhelming. Will not go there next time.

Stayed there on 4/15 a very rainy and cold day, miserable really. Thank goodness for an exceptional staff starting with check-in. The lobby is small, but then I began to notice the beauty of this hotel. Design and metal work is gorgeous. Dates back to 1901 I believe. Wish we had more time to explore. Our updated room was a corner suite decorated in “hotel fashion” so comfy with a lovely view of the city. Two Stephanie’s and Mark one of the bellman were so helpful. I want to return when we have more time just to stay at this special place.

This location used to be the old 5/3 bank and many of the interesting architectural elements remain. The ballroom is particularly beautiful — I've heard it was at one time an old stock trading floor. Regardless of what it was, it makes a difference in the posture of our city when businesses decide to maintain historic elements of the city. As well, the bar food is excellent — highly recommend!

This was my first time staying at the Renaissance Cincinnati and it was a good experience. The Room decor and fit out was excellent with everything I expect in a nice hotel room including clean contemporary furnishings to a fresh remodeled bathroom. Staff was very nice courteous and helpful. Overnight valet parking was a little expensive but in line with other downtown properties. Food at the on-site restaurant is very good the price on the high side. Next time I'm in Cincinnati I won't hesitate to look at rooms at the Renaissance.

Great hotel. Stayed here for years. I inadvertently left items in my car after checking in quickly. Overnight, several items in my car mysteriously disappeared. I called management to notify them of the issue that afternoon. While I did not expect any sort of reimbursement as I understand my items are my responsibility and I'm well aware of the policy, I wanted them to be aware of a potential issue and file a claim for the sake of doing so. The hotel's claims management department responded and, in our conversation, was incredibly rude and condescending. I understand the concept of not accepting fault or liability, but when I suggested there may be some lapses around valet and indicated that I just wanted them to be aware, she effectively said that was not possible and seemed to insinuate that I was lying about the items being missing.

We went to a wedding. It was so elegant! Great food! Awesome atmosphere! Valet parking is a problem.

Customer service was top notch for us. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. The lobby area also has various places to go to relax if you feel like being out of the room. If you want to go out for the night or get some food, you are well within walking distance.

The staff was fine if not a little uninterested. The room was absolutely lovely! Location wise, you couldn't ask for better; a wonderful view of the Cincinnati riverfront.

Incredible! I was there for a corporate sales meeting. The entire staff was helpful and attentive for the entire 3 day stay. They treated everyone as if they were the only guest. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Even though it was a work trip, the staff and accommodations made it seem like a retreat! I hope we hold next year's meeting there, as well.

My wife and got married at the Renaissance back on 3/3/3017. Our entire experience was amazing, so I decided to surprise my wife spend our one year anniversary in the same suite we stayed in last year.
As I expected, our stay was was just as I expected, exceptional. I wish I could remember everyones name, because everyone was so nice and inviting. I recognized a few faces from our stay last year, and many of them remembered us. Thank you to the fellas at the valet service, …the server in the restaurant that took care of our rehearsal dinner last year, and also was so friendly this year. Thank you to all the front desk young ladies and men whom were so helpful with making our 1 year wedding anniversary a successful. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel the world and stay at 5 star hotels and resorts. The Renaissance Cincinnati is in my top 3 hotels when it comes to customer service and just overall experience. Thank you, and until next time.

My sister had her wedding reception here, and my family (as well as many neighbors and relatives) stayed at the hotel the night before and night of the wedding. It's very conveniently located if your wedding takes place in downtown Cincinnati. The staff was extraordinary. The venues and facilities are very nice and clean. The celebration was beautiful and flawless.

We stayed for The Dragonfly Foundation Gala and from the valet to front desk they were amazing. The rooms were spacious beds were so comfortable. Everyone there was so kind and very polite. When having breakfast the next morning there breakfast buffet was amazing and our waiter was awesome I tipped him very well. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay here again❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went here for a wedding reception and was not disappointed at all. The setting was amazing and there was a good layout to the reception area. There was a cocktail area to start the night which overlooked the main seating area which was set very elegantly. I would recommend looking into this venue for a reception any time.

Great room and view! The TV would not turn on during the last day of the stay and the repair team was unavailable to fix it according to the front desk. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.

Very nice higher end type hotel. Room is spacious with modern clean look. Also quiet and well maintained. Ample number of valets on duty to get your car quickly. Front desk staff are courteous and professional. The bar happy hour is nice and located in their restaurant.

I visited the restaurant for a work lunch. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. There were the usual tables and chairs, but also couches with plump pillows for a different dining experience. The food was wonderful. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend dining there.

The Renaissance Cincinnati hotel is a very nice hotel located in downtown Cincinnati. My husband and I went for his work holiday party and stayed the night. From the valet attendants, the hotel staff and the staff during the dinner, this hotel is exceptional. Everyone was very polite and made sure we were well taken care of. We had a room on the 18th floor overlooking the Ohio River. The beds were comfortable with beautiful linens on them. The bathroom was nice with Aveda toiletries available. From valet parking to check-in and check-out, everything was smooth and quick. I would stay here again if I needed to stay downtown.

Attended a work Christmas party there. Valet parking was easy, convenient and friendly. Inside, there were people to show you the way. The space was elegantly done. We did not stay the night, but my co-workers that did raved about the rooms and beds.

They have eliminated concierge lounge for business travelers, not good if you watching expenses, just book at Marriott if that matters. Great restaurant on site. Staff is great as always and will go out of their way for you. Hotel is classy as you would expect. Great location for Central downtown. Plan on valet parking and valets are fast. Beggars are horrible. City needs to reign it it, it's getting rediculous so don't walk around downtown at night if that bothers you. You are going to get hassled but they seem harmless enough.

Hotel is beautiful. We were on the 19th floor, and our suite was simple and clean and the bed/pillows was super comfortable. Service was amazing, everyone was very courteous and kind. Internet was complimentary — we had to sign up online at 12.95 a night, but it was waived at the end of our stay. The only bummer was the no complimentary breakfast : (. The hotel offers valet parking only which got expensive but there are other parking garages a few blocks away. Bars, arenas and resteraunt were all within walking distance. Overall, wonderful experience.

Our stay was wonderful and our family enjoyed the suite. The pull-out couch in the executive suite was great for the kids and allowed my husband and I some separation from them at night. The decor was very high end but the price was not. Can't wait to stay again!

Great aesthetic. It's an old building which they have left some of the old charm, but updated all the amenities. Very clean and the staff was fantastic!

Stayed in a suite which was very well appointed. All of the staff was friendly, accommodating and willing to assist. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, the bar was lively and comfortable. The staff was great. The valet service was prompt and courteous. Our stay was most comfortable.

Hotel is beautiful; rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were amazing! So soft, slept very well! The parking situation was quite difficult, they do not have their own parking unless you valet for $35, so be prepared for that or to park in a garage in town and walk a block or two to get to the hotel.

It was very pretty. But we checked in pretty late coming from an amusement park so wet felt a little out of place surrounded by the fancy dinner guests. However the staff didn't treat us any differently than if we'd shown up in black tie so that was really nice.

The hotel was beautiful as was the room. We stayed on the 6th floor. In the hallway we could hear a wedding reception going on but we couldn't hear that in our room. The king room was very nice. Netflix the TV, room was comfortable and the bath and shower were great. We were kept up by what I assume was a group or ladies from the wedding. Kinda of a bummer we could hear the next room. But hey it was a wedding. Staff was less than pleasant to my wife when she called to see about early check-in.

From start to finish, this was an inviting and efficient hotel experience. Check-in was fast and we were immediately given our wedding favors by hotel staff (since we were part of a block of rooms reserved for a wedding). The room was amazing-very modern and comfortable.

We absolutley loved our stay. The staff was so friendly and provided us many extras. We were upgraded to a super spacious executive king corner suite and enjoyed the yummy breakfast buffet. Thank you for making our 16th anniversary extra special — we'll be back for sure! :)

Well it was the weekend of some festivals so of course the rates were doubled. Bed and bathroom were good for 4 people but there was nowhere to sit and no table. No microwave either. Guest Wi-Fi cost money. Our ceiling started flooding directly over one of our beds. Absolutely soaked out friends and put a small hole in the roof. My friends went downstairs to voice their concerns and no one seemed to care except for one lady, who managed to get us a new room, but the disruption was very inconvenient and there was no compensation except for simply pushing us into another two bed suite. This made me feel as though the service was money directed solely, I did not feel very compensated for our troubles. Not a good time.

Had an excellent stay here while in town for business. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars and all of downtown. The east side of the building outside can be a little sketchy, but that comes with being downtown. Rooms were very clean and up to date. Staff was very friendly. Would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

Without a doubt the best indoor wedding reception venue in Cincinnati! The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff was great! Weeks later and our guests are still commenting on how much they enjoyed the venue and how beautiful the ballroom is.

Attended a wedding and reception. The rooms for the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception were all nice and adequate size. Everything seemed to go smoothly, the dinner was excellent, and the open bars worked quickly. Would recommend for a wedding!

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Renaissance. Heather and her team are incredible! If there was anything we needed both during planning and the day of the wedding the staff was more than happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious and multiple people told us how much they enjoyed everything. The Renaissance made our wedding stress free as they took care of everything. The hotel is beautiful throughout the entire building and within walking distance of multiple Cincinnati landmarks. Overall this would be my go to hotel to stay in as a guest downtown. This would also be my hands down top pick for any bride looking to get married in downtown Cincinnati.

Enjoyed the room very much, however the mirror was broken when we arrived. Next we were unaware that the hotel had breakfast until we were on our way out. Last there needs to be a sign by the decorative elevators. We waited several minutes in front of the fake doors before someone from valet showed us the real elevators. Overall nice trip with mildly annoying points.

What a beautiful hotel! I love it's history. The staff was professional and hit every Mark. Our room was stylish and comfortable… we didn't want to leave! The bar was cozy and well decorated and the service was on point. They have a great Happy Hour, the food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend this hotel!

This place has some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. My stay here was very comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants. The staff make a genuine effort to assist you. The rooms are clean. A very positive experience.

I frequent Cincinnati for work and this is hands down my favorite hotel in the city. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The building is always extremely clean. The rooms are also very stylish and comfortable.

Beautiful room. Extremely comfortable bed. I too was disappointed in the Valet service. I was the only vehicle at curb. Valet watched me unload my luggage-never offering to help, never leaving his 'podium'. After I made my way to him he then led me to the front desk-as I carried said luggage. (Btw I am a female travelling alone)

I had a double bed room, it was Huge! Tons of room, very nice. Would love to stay here again!

Stayed here over a getaway weekend for our first trip to Cincinnati and we enjoyed the experience overall. The Good: The king suite we stayed in was clean & comfortable (side note: the room had a scent to it, like an air freshener. Smelled like a designer cologne or something. We both liked it but could see how not everyone would be a fan). Our interaction with the staff, though limited, was positive. We had dessert one night in the hotel restaurant and had a great time. It wasn't loud or crowded, and we were able to sit comfortably at a table with couches for seating. Our server was friendly and the creme brulee was great. I think the manager even came and refilled our water glasses. The Not-So-Good: Unbeknownst to us, we came into town during Oktoberfest, which, from our room, was half a block away. The crowd was loud and various other accompanying noises woke us up a few times. It would have been nice to know at the time we booked that was going on; with how much you end up paying for a downtown hotel, I feel that a question like "What brings you into town to stay with us? " is appropriate. They could at least have given us a room on the south side of the hotel away from the crowd. Also, some key downtown roads were closed due to the festival. We were only notified about this—by email—a few hours before our arrival. I think my biggest suggestion for the hotel management would be to have better foresight and anticipate guests' needs better.

My stay started off very well. I walked into the beautiful hotel and was greeted by their friendly staff. It pretty much went downhill from there. I booked a room with two queen beds for my cousin and I. When we reached our room, there was a glass of red wine smashed against our door with bits of glass blocking our entrance. When we finally opened the door, we were disheartened by the lone king bed inside. We trekked back downstairs and the hostess fixed our situation. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT SUGGEST USING THEIR VALET SERVICE! I can't be more clear about this! When my cousin and I dropped my car off, we were walking down the street and I heard what I thought sounded like my car being seemingly redlined. To my astonishment, it was indeed my car being driven by the valet ripping down the street. When I left the hotel, I got about 30 minutes away only to have my tire pressure sensor go off. I pulled into a gas station to check my tires and noticed a fist-sized dent and scratches over the front right tire. I called the hotel about this roughly 10 times over a month. Over that period they said they had lost my claim at one point and that's why it was taking so long. When I finally received a callback from their risk management department, they told me I should have read the disclaimer and because I left the hotel I didn't have a valid claim. Essentially, the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown called me a liar. I would steer clear of this hotel.

How can you write a review for a hotel that is still under construction? 5 five star reviews and it doesn't even open for at least three months.
