Hyatt Place Lincoln/downtown is a perfect example of incompetence, mismanagement and sheer neglect. We are on a driving trip to LA and stopped in Lincoln. When we made our Hyatt reservations, they said they require masks. Turns out, masks by staff… sometimes. The lobby was full of unmasked, non-social distancing guests. After we arrived, I waited OUTSIDE, for more than half an hour for a disinfected luggage cart to get our luggage to the room. I am disabled and unable to carry the luggage. The elevators are full, with no passenger limit. To top it off, an unexpected, unknown charge has appeared on my credit card and they can’t explain it. This hotel has become a horror movie.

So welcoming and friendly after a very long drive from Austin.

We stayed at the Hyatt this last Friday night for the home opener game. Amazing rooms that were extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet provided a large assortment of fresh options. Would definitely stay there again.

Close to eating places and great hospitality.

After room was cleaned, I found that all I had put in the bathroom trash was left on the bathroom counter. Apparently the housekeeper took the trash out of the can vs. The trash bag, but forgot to take it out when done. Makes me wonder about how clean the bathroom really is if often they clean the counter first, then put trash on the counter while doing towels, then grab the trash on the way out. I booked the hotel originally through Expedia. I cancelled that reservations, because Expedia did not have the government perdeim rate. Called and made another reservation directly. The hotel billed Expedia instead of me. Took me about the hours of my time to get this fixed. The hotel was pretty good, but not sure I would use this one again after all this.

I’ve been doing workshops here all day for FFA and the events person, Allie has been absolutely top notch! I frequent many conference centers and hotels doing speaking engagements and she made my day absolutely awesome. A top 5 day thanks to her hospitality!

Great place to stay walking distance to everything.

Excellent stay for quick and easy trips to the Haymarket, Railyard, and Pinnacle Bank Arena. Employees were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and felt very homey. Will definitely stay here again.

Great breakfast. Many options of drink and coffees. Starbucks next to front desk. Ice on every floor. Great decor. Clean. Restrooms clean. Located in farmers market. And entertainment district. Friendly staff. Cold drinking water. Hot showers. Clen towles.

I came to Lincoln to see a concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena and this hotel was in the best location to just walk to concert! I love that it’s right next to the railyard. The down fall to this hotel is that you can hear everything. I could hear people talking, giggling, etc. We also kept hearing every time someone left their hotel room. The door slamming is awful! I will say the hotel is nice and clean and service is amazing. I just wish Hyatt would improve the loud door slamming and work on noise control!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Right down where all the action is after concert. Very clean and comfortable. Great free breakfast in the morning.

Kinda gorgeous! As a smoker though… an all non-smoking hotel would have made it so I wouldn't of booked it and therefore never saw the inside! Lucky it was my buddy booking the room. It was clean and spacious — he booked on Priceline too so he got half off a $200 a night suite. Not too shabby for the few days he was up there.

This is a home from home for me, given how many nights I’ve stayed there. Really friendly service, and has all the amenities you need, including large clean rooms, a guest laundry, pool and gym. Their breakfast is not the greatest — I feel like the skillet thing could do with an update, and sometimes was quite disappointing. I’d rather have a choice of type of eggs and a bit more variation day to day. The second negative is that the Railyard is very noisy on weekend nights. They provide ear plugs in the noisy rooms, which works ok for me, but I’d ask for a room on the other side of the building if I were you.

Wow! One of the best hotel stays we have had since traveling with children. Had a gorgeous, spacious room with a king bed and a sectional couch. So much room! Loved having late night snacks that weren't just fried junk (had grilled chicken salad and pulled pork tacos! ) The staff was amazing, particularly Juanita, who went out of her way to help me. Loved the breakfast spread in the morning and the hotel was close to so many great spots, like Hurts Donuts. Highly recommend if you are going to Lincoln or if, like us, you just need a spot on I80 to crash for the night. We were planning to leave at 6am to hit the road but the kids were having so much fun, we stayed until checkout at noon! :) Thanks for a great night after a long day of travel!

Go to spot to stay in Lincoln. Very nice staff, clean rooms. I see familiar faces every time I stay at the front desk which is nice.

The staff here is second to none! Great stay! Pool was a little heavy on chlorine. Breakfast had a great selection! Beautiful area of Lincoln to stay in. Would definitely recommend!

Not impressed. The rooms are clean and nice however it’s twice as expensive as the average hotel. Cost $12 for parking (no free parking) no hot tub. Non smart tv. Not a big deal other than other hotels are cheaper with free parking hot tubs and smart TVs.

I visited for the solar eclipse, and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. Lincoln is a town full of good people. It's America's heartland capitol.

Check in was nice. Hotel looks good and tidy. Room was in a very good state. Shower could be remade/modernized — the tiles look used. Rest of bathroom is ok. First impression: very quiet. Car can be parked in the garage nearby (one minute from hotel, Red 1 Garage). There are many nice bars and restaurants nearby. Also the steam locomotive outside the hotel is beautiful.

Here for an overnight stay at the legislature session. Very impressed. Not sure how new this place is but it is very modern and quiet. I’m impressed with the room decor. Smallish TV but that is just nitpicking. Would easily choose this place again.

Very nice room. Probably the best complimentary breakfast I've had at a hotel. The location is also perfect for things in Haymarket or Downtown. The only downside is that they do not have a parking lot. So people who are visiting will need to pay to park in the area.

I have stayed here several times while in town for work. They are consistent. The rooms are a good size and clean. Staff friendly. The gym and laundry facilities are a great convenience.

This is a wonderful hotel! The staff is extremely friendly and kind. Our room was very modern with all new furniture. We stayed in one of the high floor king bed rooms with a beautiful view of the ice skating rink. Our bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up. The continental breakfast is very upscale and had so many delicious choices. There is also a very nice indoor pool and workout facility. This hotel is located in the perfect area of the Haymarket. Bars, restaurants, and events are all within walking distance. The Hyatt is definitely the number one hotel in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska.

I stayed at the Hyatt overnight before a husker game, and the whole experience was great! There is overnight parking very close by in a parking garage for 25 dollars a day. The hotel itself is very close to the center of the Haymarket and has plenty of bars and restaurants to visit nearby. The breakfast in the morning was great with a choice of several cereals, baked breads, and egg dishes. The room was clean, and had a nice view overlooking the street. The bathroom has complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash with a very modern style shower. The whole experience was great and very much worth the cost.

The staff @ Haymarket Hyatt Place made our Thanksgiving stay an absolutely wonderful experience. Lavonne in the kitchen is a delight. Tina at the front desk handles phones, guests & questions effortlessly and with the best smile! Super clean! Location is great — so much to do and see within walking distance. Parking is a breeze. From check-in to check-out … we can not compliment enough!

Great location for a Husker game. Walkable to the bars and the stadium. Clean, large rooms. Perfect for celebrating the Badgers whipping the Huskers.

Great stay here. The room was large and had a king size bed and a kinda living area with a couch. Breakfast was good with French Toast and bacon. Location is right down town near a lot of restaurants and bars and the Amtrak station. Would definitely recommend a stay here if ever in Lincoln.

Went there last night for an Event. Great location and convenience but when we got are room it's was a Handicap room For someone obviously in a wheel chair? We paid $350 for this room, in advance expecting a very nice room but received this room instead of a regular King room? Just feel our room was just not up to par for the $$$ and it was right next to the. Railyard patio with DJ playing till 1 or 2am in the morning. Lol. That probably explains the ear buds next to the bed… lol. Plan on coming back for other events but will be looking at other options for a Hotel possibly. Little disappointing.

Beautiful hotel, very quiet. Lincoln is always such a cozy place to visit, and this hotel made it even better. Was a little worried when we got to our room and found that we were positioned right in front of a glaring bright digital billboard but the blackout shades in the room did just that. Absolutely no light got in. Very pleased.

I was very impressed! Staff was super nice and helpful pointing out stuff around town. I worked in pest control for a few years and always check hotel rooms vigorously. These rooms were perfect. I was really blown away. Also breakfast in the morning was great.

UPDATE: most recent stay was much more pleasant and enjoyable. However, there was a 'caution wet floor' sign on every trip to the lobby. I also enjoy the workout options and cleanliness of the workout room. * Clean, modern, and bright. Free loaded breakfast buffet was the best feature! Service needs new management! Wife ordered room service from front desk and was encouraged to wait there for 'six minutes' while they make it. Cleaning staff uses main elevators instead of the service ones. Hotel has VERY thin walls. No room safe.

Hotel was fantastic. It was very clean, friendly staff, all-washable bedding, and the best breakfast we had in our cross-country trip. They have a chef who is incredibly friendly, and provides more up-scale and delicious breakfast food. No cereal here! Instead there is breakfast casserole, bananas foster, oatmeal, homemade waffles with fruit topping, sausage and eggs. Incredible! Parking garage and hotel felt safe. No complaints here!

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and one of the best beds I have slept on in awhile. I drive a tour bus and am in a different hotel every night. This id's one of the best.

We were visiting for graduation and we're actually booked at a different hotel but we got a call the day before saying that the hotel overbooked and we wouldn't have a room. By some miracle there was still a room available at this hotel. We got to the hotel around 1 am and checked in quickly. The room was clean and the facilities are in great condition. It seems like a pretty newly built hotel. The hotel is in the cool Haymarket part of Lincoln. Nice shopping in the area and a cool atmosphere. Parking for the hotel is pretty easy, especially considering it is in a downtown area without open parking. You park by first pulling up in your car in the area just outside the lobby. There is a sign that says "check in then park". You then check in. They explain that you use your room key to park in the adjacent parking garage. We unloaded the car and my wife brought the luggage up while I went and parked. My wife also forgot the little case you put contacts in overnight. The guy at the front desk didn't have any cases we could purchase but he was able to go find some little plastic disposable condiment containers that worked just fine. It's a great hotel with a nice staff.

Although I did not stay overnight, I did received hospitality better than some hotels I have stayed at before. The customer service was beyond remarkable where I would give them more than five stars. I've never been to Lincoln until now and I was only passing through. The people here are so nice and welcoming I'm planning to return here soon probably during football season. Hyatt is definitely 1st choice in Lincoln. Nicole was very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice clean rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was OK, better than your typical Continental breakfast.

I loved the large spacious room; double queen beds; nice sitting area with sleeper sofa; 42-inch LCD TV; large bathroom; large closet; nice desk; free WI-FI; free breakfast; etc, etc, etc. And the staff are EXCELLENT! The service was A-1, and I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, it is within walking distance of a lot of cool places to eat and to visit.

Beautiful rooms and friendly staff, the bathroom doors are foggy glass, and can make using the restroom a little uncomfortable though!

Okay so, I have to say I was quite unimpressed with this hotel. For the cost that they charged, compared to what amenities one would think you would get at a downtown snazzy hotel, this certainly left me wanting… we rented a suite that was supposed to sleep 6, the fold out bed had no blankets and no pillows anywhere in the room, when we decided to go to bed at around 11 had to go down and get all that stuff. They didn't bring and wouldn't bring anything up to the room. Had to go get more hangers cuz there was only four hangers in the closet. There wasn't a blow dryer in the bathroom, had to go get that too. In for a room that's supposed to sleep 6 there were only two towels in the bathroom. And you guessed it, had to go down and get those too. I know this is cheesy and kind of a silly thing to complain about but after its all said and done it was just the straw that broke the back if you know what I mean, but there wasn't even a pen on the little table that day usually provide in most hotels. The glasses that they give you to drink out of in the room, two of them were broke, and they were made of glass so my little daughter could have easily cut her lip if she decided to take a drink. We decided to go swimming in the quote unquote heated pool, which was a lovely warm 64 degrees. We only do this because one of the family members at the hotel had a thermometer. They only had like one or two towels in the community cabinet where they're supposed to have towels to dry off.

Great location. OK breakfast. Nice rooms. Parking is convenienant but is extra. Get a corner suite if you need a big room.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Place in Haymarket a number of times. It's great for work travel, the staff is helpful and the location is convenient.

Good place to stay. With in drunk walking distance from Pinnacle arena. Good rooms, clean, friendly staff. Starbucks Coffee.

Front desk staff very RUDE (Lydia). Sent personnel knocking on my door in the middle of the night with extra pillows,, RIGHT, Did not order any Breakfast was not to bad, Sausage and eggs Clean however the beds do not give you a good nights sleep. We both woke up with neck aches. E Mailed management regarding a few issues and got no response.
