The decor is a no. Very uncomfortable stay staring at white women all over the walls.

Very poor customer service. They charged me $15 for parking without telling me ahead of time. No breakfast. The pool and pool area was cold. No creamer for the coffee. The thermostat in the room didn't work, the heat wouldn't shut off by thermostat. I will not stay here again.

Decor is throwback, but amenities and comfort are completely modern. And pet-friendly! Every staff member we met treated our dog and us like VIPs.

This used to be a Holiday Inn. They remodeled with 1950s dated decor and doubled the price. The room reminds me of a roadside motel. No fans in the bathrooms. The balcony was not cleaned, and we found beers hidden from the last tenant. Thanks for that, I guess. The maid didn't care to move your Busch Lights out, either. Stay at The Cornhusker. Way classier place.

We loved, the hotel very nice wonderful views, good concierge service is ideal for any romantic family event, young people, I would just recommend that many family come with children and do not have breakfast even if it is cereals and milk to take to the room there is no coffee maker in the room, otherwise all very well Thanks 🤩

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I never leave reviews, and I don’t want to sound like a stereotypical Karen. The graduate king room was small and depressing on the top floor. It was really noisy, and the room below us was blaring music for hours. You can hear people talking in the rooms on each side. The shower had such bad water pressure, and there was a vent inside the shower pulling out all of the warm air. You had to wear socks or sandals to go to the bathroom since the floor was freezing. The breakfast they had available was way overpriced for what it was. The pool was dirty, and there were no towels in the pool room. However, the staff in the bar area was absolutely amazing! They were so friendly, and the drink menu was fun. Thank goodness for alcohol. The room was totally not worth the price.

Absolutely the coolest hotel I’ve stayed in! Love the mod decor, retro video games, the subway tile and AMAZING staff! I can tell that management is amazing because the staff really showed they enjoyed their jobs! I would recommend this hotel as a MUST when traveling to Lincoln!

The front desk staff is cheerful and helpful. I checked in last night at 11:30p and the staff was so helpful. While casual, staff is efficient. I parked my car in hotel parking which has narrow up/down ramps which I can’t understand in a location like Lincoln. To give you an idea, «we are all students » is found in and on multiple items and multiple locations. Just don’t look down at the carpet in the rooms because it’s dizzying.

We just hosted a Vietnam Reunion @ The Graduate in Lincoln and can not say enough about the staff and General Manager. They all went above and beyond to make sure all 22+ guests were always comfortable, daily meeting room provided, shuttle service provided, and suggestions for things to do while they were here. Our group all loved the location and retro decor. Troy and staff, you out did yourselves! Thank you.

I’ve been a repeat guest over the last 7 months for work and I have nothing but good things to say. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The valet service is efficient (never an issue). The rooms are clean & comfortable (love the beds). Never had any Wi-Fi service issues. Old Chicago is in walking distance & open late. Also, there is a in house restaurant if your looking for a simple menu (Gourmet Grilled Cheese & Tomato soup is unique… & try the homemade cookie w/ice cream)

My room was comfortable overall, but the bathroom was small. Also, the room itself seemed moist the entire stay. I asked for a dehumidifier or other help, but got no reply. They do not have a restaurant on site, but there are many in the area. Overall, it is fine, but there are better hotels downtown, especially for business travel.

Very cool hotel. The theming makes it stand out from other hotels. I had no problems during my 3 night stay here. They even have complimentary pickup from the airport and you can use the bicycles of the hotel too. The location is also great as it is in the center of everything. Would definitely recommend.

This is a swanky and fun hotel with a ton of character! Almost everything in the building has a Nebraska-style "Americana" feel to it, and you will catch yourself noticing the fun ways they've chosen to display things in your room — seriously, just slow down and take some time to look around at their neat decor. The staff were about as friendly as it gets, the rooms were impeccably clean & comfortable (and reasonably priced, I might add), and the amenities on site were nice. There is a pool and 24 hr fitness center on the 2nd floor, arcade machines in the lobby, and the 1st floor bar has a wide array of good cocktail choices and beer options. I regret not having more time to spend here, as the room was homey and I wanted to enjoy it for a few more nights. The good news is that I know where I'll be staying the next time I'm in town!

FAR BELOW PAR We chose the Graduate in Lincoln because of it's unique style. Should have chosen another hotel. First the Positives: Great location to downtown events, within walking distance. Pleasant valet staff and the breakfast is top notch. The staff was five star and the food was real home style cooking. Now the Negatives Check in was around 3:30 and it went well and smooth. Upon entering the room we experienced our first surprise, it had not been cleaned! After a long drive the last thing anyone wants to do is walk into a room that hasn't been cleaned. My wife asked the cleaning crew about it and was told "that is not my room". Took the unclean room issue back to the front desk and was told that it was total unacceptable and that we would get another room and two complimentary drink coupons. Thought this was a nice touch until another guest came up to the front desk and just asked if she could get some drink coupons, guess it wasn't so special. Remember both of these solutions for later on. Checked into the new room and everything seemed fine. Went out that night. There was a thunderstorm while we was out so when we came back to the hotel we decided to use the drink coupons for a nightcap. My wife asked for a Manhattan and the bartender had to look up the ingredients. That wouldn't be so bad if there had been a senior bartender to help out but it was a Saturday night and the bartender was inexperienced. Second surprise, the drink was terrible.

Fun place to stay. Funky vibe that makes your trip a little more special. Excellent location. Beds are comfortable and rooms are well kept. The pool is not suitable for young children as it starts at 4 ft deep, so be prepared to bring a life jacket if you plan to let them swim.

Great location with an easy to access parking garage and an excellent hotel bar. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. I took off a star because the bathroom door in our room was a full inch too big for the door frame so we couldn't shut it, which was strange.

Graduate Hotel was amazing. Their branding is awesome, but on top of that the hotel staff were always exceptional to us. Every minute we were there was enjoyable. We plan to stay here anytime we go to Lincoln from now on!

Nice rooms, good service. Breakfast is okay. The decor is trendy but strange. Parking is easy in the location is great downtown for anything you want to do it lincoln.

Due to work, I will stay in different hotels, across the country, from 4 — 6 weeks at a time. My recent stay at The Graduate was closer to 4 months and by far has been the best experience. Although they don't have any rewards program they make up for it in customer service. From Andrea at the front desk, Devon, Barb, Nate at the bar and Bonnie in house keeping. They've all made my 4 month stay a rememberable one.

The room was ok. Cute but not worth the price. No free breakfast. Pool was deep, which would have been ok, but I have short kids and bad swimmers. Not a great combination. Pool had gray film on the sides that could have been easily scrub off, but no. Had to pay for parking on top of the hotel price. Just, for the price of it… go to a Hilton and get better service, free breakfast, and if something is wrong with your room, they have always made it right with me.

The decor is pretty cool, old school/funky vibe with corn curtains and college related decor on the walls. Room is pretty decent in size and not much noise. Connected to a cool restaurant/bar.

Could not sleep due to noise. Smelled like pot everywhere. I should get a refund. I should have have gotten a different hotel down town. I probably wouldn't be up right now giving this awesome review.

I attended a local yoga event at the Graduate, so I can speak to the lobby, downstairs meeting room, and the attached bar/restaurant. All of the rooms were beautiful! I am a big fan of this place and wish I had known how beautiful it is now that it has been remodeled to the Graduate, because I would love to stay here. The staff were especially accommodating and were willing to loan us supplies we had forgotten and help out in other ways. Parking is kind of a pain, otherwise highly recommend! It's in a fantastic location. Probably one of the best locations in Lincoln.

Trying at this location: meeting rooms good — enough space so not squeezed in; rooms renovated and very nice and comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Such a cool hotel located in downtown Lincoln. The rooms are Nebraska themed, your room key is a former famous Nebraska student. We had Johnny Carson and Brook Berringer. The rooms were super clean with comfortable beds. The location to plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. If you are coming to Lincoln for a Husker game, I would stay here for sure.

Attended a wedding at the Graduate and was pleasantly surprised as this was the first time I had been there since they opened. The hotel was modern and easily fit all the guests for the dinner and dance.

Only complaint is the poor availability of proper wheelchair entrance. The ramp outside is extremely narrow and dangerously close to steps. There is no wheelchair entry from the parking garage. It could easily be remedied by ramping the stairs leading to the lobby from the parking garage. Other then that, it is really unique and very near alot of attractions!

Very clean facility. Love the architecture. Had to attend a pageant at the Graduate. And it was a very pleasant experience.

Outdated but charming decor. Good meeting rooms with plenty of room and good sound. Restrooms need renovating. Great location with parking and access to the Haymarket.

Fantastic Service! If you are visiting Lincoln, this place is a must! I had the opportunity to stay here for two months, and everything was fantastic. I travel every month for work purposes and I can confidently say that this type of customer service cannot be provided not even by the Concierge Services of those chain hotels (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, etc). Front desk staff are very helpful and attentive, Hannah, Andrea, Corey, Aaron and Heather were probably they ones I bugged the most! Barb, Nate and Davon are the best at the bar…! If you like ginger ale, Barb makes her fresh! They have this delicious cornbread, and try their prawn salad. If you are having breakfast, try their omelettes over the week and their waffles for brunch! Kudos to the whole team! Tom, thank you for your outstanding customer service to our group during our stay.

This is a great hotel! I loved the funky decor and vibe — — very fun, with lots of great decorative touches. Staff were very helpful with everything I needed, from an umbrella to use in a sudden downpour to a quick free shuttle ride to take me to Walgreen's to pick up something I really needed. Restaurant had good food and, again, a fun and friendly feeling. I would definitely stay here again! A shout-out to Nick and Kelly at the restaurant and Corey at the front desk for great customer service.

Thematically fun little hotel, theres lots of fun details that fit the retro theme. A couple arcade games provide a bit of fun for free. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. We are looking forward to staying again next time we're in Lincoln.

I attended a social event at The Graduate in Lincoln. The event included a bar which was staffed by The Graduate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk was also very welcoming and courteous. The rooms are quaint and have unique decor, including an old fashioned phone and TV for decorative purposes, and corn on the cob curtains. I would recommend this hotel based on the comfort and coziness of the rooms and the good staff.

I love the Graduate Lincoln, and my pup Ivy does too! I stopped in Lincoln since it was the 1/2 way point between Chicago and the Colorado ski resorts I was en route to. It's sometimes hard to judge a hotel based on photos and reviews, so I figured… for one night, I can handle whatever comes my way. And wow, I wish I could've stayed longer! Room was very spacious and comfortable including the bed and room furniture. You can't help but notice the decor, and while I feared (from the photos) that it would be gimmick-y, I found it to be a lovely compliment to this solidly built hotel. Wide hallways, carpet with extra padding, furnishings that are modern updates to retro designs… I got the impression that the hotel owners really put thought into both form and function, and they got it right. Dogs are very welcome here and they don't charge a pet fee! My pup got a Bark Box with treats and toys to use and take with us, and a blanket to borrow during our stay. Hotel staff from check-in/out, luggage assistance, and valet were terrific and so kind. I'll return to the Graduate Lincoln on my way back to Chicago!

Fun retro design. How can you not smile when you walk into a room with plaid carpet and the shell of an old console TV for a nightstand? With friendly, helpful staff, this hotel is in the heart of the Haymarket District which is packed with hip and tasty restaurants.

It has a unique theme. But that was all it has going for it. At $175/night (Don't listen to what they advertise. This is what it will cost you. ) they can at least have better than single-ply toilet paper. They didn't even have a breakfast. This place is not worth the money. There are better places for half the cost in Lincoln.

Such a cool chain of hotels. I loved the Atari games in the lobby, and the free bike hires. The room was good although it needed more storage space for clothes. Decor was fun and well thought-out. Staff were attentive and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are adorable with very kitschy decor. The beds are comfortable, pillows great and towels very soft. It is a great place to stay if you are needing to be in downtown Lincoln. Rooms are good sized and the check in process was very quick. Will definitely stay here if I am ever in Lincoln again.

The decor is so fun and different. Our room was clean and pleasant. The staff is helpful. I have one complaint and it involves the breakfast. The hash browns were so greasy, but they did discount the price of our ticket. Still giving 5 stars. But I'll post a pic of the hash browns.

First time at the Graduate. Rooms are great. I usually don't notice the decor nut this is unique and fun. Clean comfortable bed and great staff. Will definitely stay again.

The Graduate hotel was a great stay. There is a free shuttle that takes you to and from the Lincoln airport and anywhere within a 2 mile radius! So convenient! There are free arcade games in the lobby and there is a pool and small fitness center as well. For me, the beds were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, someone that was in our group said he woke up to bed bugs and had to be moved to another room. No issues after that. The hotel has a nice bar/restaurant that served good food and snacks. We tried their beer and wine selection which was great. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at a Graduate hotel again in the future (minus the one bed bug issue).

Awesome lobby and areas to socialize. Free ping pong tables and arcade games. The restaurant has awesome food, especially the breakfast. Nice place, have fun.

Great hotel for a reasonable price! It's close to University of Nebraska Lincoln and downtown. The interior is beautifully decorated with a old timey theme that reflects Nebraska pride. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Full recommendation!

Very unique and inviting. One of a kind decor. Beats the run of the mill average cookie cutter hotels hands down. This hotel is a destination. Let alo e the plethora of attractions within walking distance from the front steps.

First 2 weeks of a 3 week stay the place was tolerable. You can tell it is older and has a unique character and the majority of the staff was great. The room was disappointing with no fan in the bathroom and the place felt humid and musty. The a/c was a roller coaster bouncing between hot and cold. Thunder storm came through at 1 am and water started pouring through the window frame. Used the available linen to slow the flooding and went to the front desk. Man at the desk did…n't seem to care as he had already received multiple reports and complaints and there was nothing he could do. Wouldn't even take my room number to have someone send up more towels. Edit… guess you just need to find the right person. My room was too humid to be comfortable as I was waiting for it to be cleaned. Hit the lounge to watch some baseball and gave a quick rundown to the bar manager. He made a quick note and got people taking care of it. Thank You Sir! Price and location are pretty solid but again older building with some leaks. Doubt I would stay here again on a whim but I would deffinatley hit the lounge if I was in town.

The service was good the room was clean and well-kept. That being said the prices were way too high for our area. $50 per night incidental fee? $11 for french toast with no sides? Also, they need to put the ramp back on the stairwell hauling luggage for a family up several steps was an absolute nightmare. I have been staying at this location over 30 years it was fun to see the remodel but next time I will stay elsewhere…

This hotel is very nice and every one there is very accommodating! The service is great and it's located in a very convenient area! Has a nicely decorated restaurant, pool and nice family friendly patio area. Valet and shuttle service was second to none! Very satisfied and would highly recommend!

This hotel is really cool! The decor was really interesting… the person working told me it was inspired by Johnny Carson. There are lots of interesting and unique details and decorations in the rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. I would definitely stay here again.

We had our wedding and reception here. It was horrible from the start! Absolutely poor communication and I had to have my parents come down 3+ times (from 5 hours away) to finally get someone who could actually answer the questions we had about their ballroom and weddings. When it came to the actual day we were promised things like breakfast to our room, champagne and strawberries the night of the weddings at 1 (when the room was rented out till). We got to our room and you could tell that everything was delivered super early. All of the bucket in the ice had melted over our belongings that were left on the table and the suitcase below it. The chocolate strawberried were warm and melted and then we were given tickets to the breakfast buffet and were told it was supposed to be breakfast delivered to our room so endless to say we never got to use the breakfast or anything delivered from the night before. We were also told THREE DAYS before our wedding (that was booked 11 months beforehand that they didn't receive a deposit? Though in the beginning we were told they would never hold or book the room for us until they received a deposit.

Went here for a wedding reception. Staff was helpful. The hotel showed a little bit of wear but that's understandable given its age.

The hotel is nicely located down town and has good views from all the rooms. I am being generous with giving it 3 stars. The first night we got to the hotel it was good, they assured us that there was security available and was very nice. The second night there was a wedding going on and they informed us that we had to move our cars from the parking garage and had to find another garage to park in which was $6+ a night given that we are already paying $9 a night at the hotel garage. They offered shuttle service to pick us up from another garage but when we asked if the shuttle would take us to the arena for a concert they said no and that we would be stuck in traffic too long but we can just walk and they will provide us an umbrella. The staff was clueless when we would ask questions about the area and the staff in the restaurant down stairs was rude and did not seem like they wanted to be there. The omelets were really good for breakfast and the guy who was making them was the nicest person we met in the hotel. The hotel overall is not bad, the floor we stayed on smelt horrible in the hallway but the room itself wasn't bad. There is limited plug-ins in the room to use.

Room and service was good. It had free Wi-Fi but breakfast and parking was not free. The restaurant seemed ok but I didn't try it out as there are better options nearby.

Disappointing. They made us park 2 blocks away because their parking garage was under construction or something. Not a big deal, but the other parking charged $9 and the hotel neither reimbursed us for that, or offered to drive us there/back. Very inconvenient and unprofessional. Not the way a company in the hospitality industry should act.

The attached parking garage is very small and hard to navigate. Breakfast was good. Room was fine. Bed wasn't very comfy.

We had an excellent experience overall. It was nice for the price we paid, and we live the location. There was a wedding going on which was quite loud and resulted in us switching rooms, but they compensated the change with a delicious breakfast. Also there was some disrepair in the bathroom with the light constantly flickering, but we didn't want to change rooms again and it was only a relatively minor annoyance.

Don't waste your money on this hotel. Literally the least intelligent hotel staff in town. We stayed at this hotel after flying in town from Arizona. We had friends staying with us after having a drink downtown. We apparently got a "report" of being too loud. So we laid down. My friend had the hiccups so we were giggling and trying to help her get rid of hiccups. We then got another knock on the door. We were kicked out for excessive noise. We were laying in our bed in pajamas. We were kicked out at 5 am with no where else to go. The ironic thing is there was an excessively loud wedding going on until late at night. The staffs explanation was that their guests needed to sleep. What if there were guests trying to sleep over the excessively loud wedding? Our giggling was louder than a couple thousand dollar speaker system? What if we had kids and our baby was crying that late? Would that be excessive noise? It was giggling. That's not excessive. When we asked for details about what reason the noise conpaint was made we were given no information. It's unfair to kick someone out at 5 am for "excessive noise" without detail. The security guard was incredibly rude when we explained our situation. He laughed and said he gave us a warning and this was "policy". We can't help what someone else complains about. We paid for the hotel. We're adults who use a hotel responsibly. If we were teenagers throwing a party I could understand.

I attended a party at the holiday but cannot say much about the rooms because I was downstairs in the party room. It was a great size for us and the hostesses were inviting and helpful.

Unfortunately had a bad experience at this hotel. Everything started great, until my car was broken into. When I had reported the incident the security rep. Was more concerned about why I didn't lock my car. When I asked how they survey the car lot that they provide, I was told they start walking through the lot at 12:30, I reported this incident sometime after 1 in the evening. The rep. Was oblivious to what time it was when I asked, and with this location being one mile away from the homeless shelter I would expect them to have more security measures in place. Also when I had talked to the G. M. (Troy) showed little concern as well for the incident. In the end, no report was made, so I paid way too much for my experience and will not be returning to this location. My advice to you is to stay at the embassy suites, they have cameras in their parking garage…
