Weekend (she drove from the cities) and was expecting to stay in a nice, hospitable hotel with a great location downtown. Instead, she was met with a cold shoulder and rude interaction with Ryan at the front desk. He brushed her off and made her feel unwelcome and unsafe so she ended up canceling her reservation and going somewhere else. He gave no instructions on where to park and how to get to her room. Do not stay at this hotel. They are racist and rude.

They have a pool, bar and restaurant but none are open right now because of Covid-19.

Front desk wasn’t helpful they wouldn’t care of the issue.

Awful hotel. After sitting all day in 90 degree heat at a softball tourney it would be expected that air conditioning would be blasting throughout the hotel but instead we have fans blowing all over in our room. How this hotel even has 3 stars is beyond me. I could go on and on but I think this picture pretty much sums up how gross it is. This is the chair in our room.

100% do NOT recommend this hotel for any of our softball friends, or anyone else for that matter, traveling to Mankato! Moldy food, racist remarks & no noise control, no room service for 3 days, no bus driver late checkouts, no early breakfast accommodations & a general manager who will not respond & there is “no one else to talk to. ” She also hasn’t worked a day since we left the hotel… ‬

Filthy dirty rooms. No staff. 1 person working the front desk. HIGHLY disappointed.

So disappointed! So many awful things happened! They didn’t have our reservation down for the rehearsal dinner that I booked! Room was dirty and the tub was broken, couldn’t shower before my wedding! Tried to contact the manager for a month with no response! The lady stocking the breakfast said “JESUS CHRIST! ” When my daughter spilled dry fruit loops! After the whole weekend still no manager, no issues resolved and couldn’t leave without them charging me!

Dirty and unprepared conference center. Employees were very non compliant and rented area was not presentable or cleAned. No one was around to try and remedy the unacceptable situation!

Serious maintenance sweep of the rooms would be a nice start, i. E. Outlets need to be relaced, had to have the toilet seat tightened down and then a new one installed, toilet just randomly runs. The rooms could use a thorough, deep cleaning, i. E. Mold on the shower curtain liner, mirrors and poolside glass doors clearly have not been cleaned, in a while.

Dirty! I don’t think the floor has ever been vacuumed and a hand towel in the bathroom had been used, and not by me and was hanging with all the other towels and one bed, that I did not use, looked like someone had set a can one it, on the inner sheet part, it had a left a water ring, so obviously that bed had never been changed since the last patron and there is mold in the corners of the tub.

Our experience could not have been worse. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially anyone considering trying to block rooms for a wedding. The hotel couldn’t get that done for us even after my husband and I made numerous calls and stopped into the hotel. The block of rooms needs to go through specific staff, but that person wouldn’t return calls and was never available to talk to. Messages were left for the GM, Samantha, to return my calls, emails sent to her expressing my frustrations. Absolutely no communication from her. Hotel staff were rude on the phone and not helpful at all to us as well as to our wedding guests. Two of our guests ending up getting rooms credited because they found their luggage behind the front desk after returning from our wedding, that was taken from their rooms! My mom wasn’t able to check in to get ready for our rehearsal because she wasn’t able to find her photo ID, but she had a credit card?! Not good enough. Staff told her they’d hold the room until 11pm but no guarantee after that. My husband and I cancelled our reservation for the wedding night because of the frustrations we had. Since then I’ve finally connected with the GM via email and have had two meetings set up. One was rescheduled due to a hotel kitchen issue and the other I showed up at the set time to learn she was out unexpectedly that day. Apparently a phone call to inform me wasn’t necessary?!? Hopefully this message reaches the owner, Zahid Hameed.

Was originally told earlier in the week we could check in early the day we got here. Check in is at 3. Came at 205 and said nothing has been cleaned yet. Hoped the rooms at least cleaned when we get in! Then when we finally got checked in almost an hour late and got to our room (2 queens) it was the wrong one and they tried to say we had booked that one originally and for a day earlier, then were told they were sold out of what we wanted (king with pullout couch). But Ended up getting switched to a king in the end. Got told when we got here breakfast was 6-930. Called the night before and was told 630-930. Went down to breakfast this am before our softball games for the children, and was told the breakfast is 7-10. I Don’t know which one to believe anymore. Ohhhhh and don’t even get me started on the absolutely horrrrrrible parking situation they have, if you plan on coming with kids or stuff that you need to carry, more then your purse. DO NOT STAY HERE! Oh and did I mention the back alley with a strip club in it! Hahaha.
Absolutely the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have been to many, many hotels all over the US so that’s saying something. If you end up having to stay here. I’m sorry in advance for the extra headaches you will experience with this hotel.

This hotel has really went downhill. We have stayed there several times when it was Holiday Inn was pretty nice back then. Not so much anymore Our room was very dirty, so much dust on the counter you could write in it. The sheets on the bed looked slept in already, hair and other things all over the bathroom, pee on the floor. Gross. Definitely not staying there again.

We didn’t get checked into our rooms till 3:40 and we had a wedding to get to at the Verizon Center at 4 even though we were waiting since 2pm. Many of my extended family didn’t even get their rooms till well into the reception pushing 6pm. The staff had no compassion, was very unhelpful and looked unprofessional. Rooms were rundown and stains everywhere. This was absolutely the worst hotel experience any of my family had experienced and will not recommend or return.

We booked this room after a day of traveling hoping to get to sleep right away. Upon arrival we realized that there was a group in the gathering area by the pool. When we got to our room it was incredibly noisy. We couldn’t even hear the TV. When I went down to the front desk I was told nothing could be done because we booked trough Expedia. We had to listen to women screaming and awful karaoke until 11:30 at night. Worst hotel experience ever! Never going back.

While the staff was friendly, the bed was hard; I woke up wondering if I'd been sleeping on the floor. Also, like others have said, breakfast sucks — burned scrambled eggs and rock-hard sausage links, dry muffins. Let me try this coffee. Oh gawd! It's terrible! Burned. You're better off going to Best Western or Fairfield Inn.

We had my daughter's boyfriend's 18th birthday there. Because it was a surprise for him, we had to sneak around the hotel. The staff was very helpful and everyone had a great time!

I found the hotel to be in need of renovation. The decor just looks run down. The room had a comfortable bed, but had a very old air conditioner which was hard to operate. The breakfast is usual for hotels these days. My only concern was that the eggs were covered in cheese! Hard to avoid cheese or dairy this way. The service was good, though. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful when I needed to leave my luggage while I was on business in town. Also I did not see an accessibility ramp in the main drive-up entrance would could make it difficult for some to enter. I'm not sure if there is a secondary entrance door for people needing a ramp.

Stayed at this hotel for the weekend to take the ACT and it seemed they had a baseball team staying there as well. They only had a single worker checking people in and answering the phones simultaneously. This sadly led to a slow check in process. The man working was very helpful and polite but seemed over whelmed. If the hotel knew they had a baseball team and a large number of others checking in they should have scheduled additional staff. After checking in and having to upgrade to get a room in a quieter location of the hotel because my sleep was important due to taking the ACT early the next morning. Overall the hotel was clean and looked nice. It was in a cool area of the town with great views.

Excellent hotel with nice pool and large hot tub, plus lots of amenities. We stayed there for a Lutheran Women's conference, which was in the Verizon Center, which is only a short indoor walk away. The free breakfast is nice, with a very spacious eating area! The rooms are spacious. I definitely recommend this hotel!

4th time staying here. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with eggs, sausage, bacon and rolls. Pool area looks good, but I've never used it. Only negative is rooms need updating. (ie. Furniture has scratches & chips)

We booked a King sized bed, was placed in Queen size. Long wait to check in, as only one person was working, and after the delay, found our keys wouldn't work in the door. One if two elevators was out of order. We were offered to be placed into a King room, but after the long wait, decided to keep the double queen room. Good thing too, because the beds were terribly uncomfortable, I can not imagine how it would be too sleep two in one of those floppy old beds. The pillows were bags of loose fiberfill that has likely aleady served a long life and desperately needed to be replaced. We has also requested a late check-out the previous night and was told could accommodate a noon check out time, but was greeted promptly at 11:05 at ourdoor by an employee, letting us know that we missed our regular check-out at 11:00. The location was great, as the hotel was next to our venue, the reason for the visit, but we will look elsewhere for future accommodations.

Room was clean and nicely set up. The air conditioner didn't work but it wasn't really needed. When we checked in they upgraded is for free so that was nice.

Staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is great with many choices, eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes, pastries, bread, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, juices, milk, coffee. Walking distance to a lot downtown. Downsides are you can hear a lot outside your doors and most king size rooms are on the side of the train tracks. Another time I stayed in a poolside room, it was quiet. I'd stay here again, but would ask for a specific location in hotel.

Beds could be a little softer, but all in all was a nice hotel. The breakfast isn’t good though. Food wasn’t the freshest.

Awesome staff! Helpful, friendly. Convenient location with on site parking, have to pay $3 however. Catered food was good and organized well so line went fast. Room acoustics good and spacious. Bathrooms clean and adequate size for our group. Overall very positive experience.

Was overall a pleasant stay. Definitely still has a not entirely unenjoyable 70's vibe that shows through their renovations. Continental breakfast was above par! Overall a groovy experience.

Location was great. It was really nice to be connected via skyway to the Verizon/City Center for our conference. Parking was free with our room. Rooms were clean. Bed was not very comfortable to me. And the thermostat was old and difficult to read. Overall I am happy with my stay and would stay again.

Good staff, great food, clean lobby pool are. There was plenty of room versatility to the ballroom, what I mean is you can have it as one big room or 4 smaller ones. Easy to get to, nice parking (for the hotel anyways) the rooms seemed average but very clean.

This is an older hotel but you still get first class service. We had a pool side room, and the kids enjoyed swimming when we were not out at the nearby hockey games. Easy to find, parking garage, and right downtown so a close walk to many places. Friendly, accommodating staff.

Checked in late into the night and checked out early morning. Didn't have time to fully look around. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff were polite and courteous. Good experience.

A very dated place, it's just a plain, tired out old hotel. Free breakfast, with eggs, bacon and sausage rounds. The pool was around 90° and not overly clorineated. Really weird room numbering system as the hotel is 'U" shaped and wrapped around the pool with the second floor being numbered 201-230 on the left and 250-280 on the right. Somehow twenty rooms disappeared in the building? Since we were there for events at the Verizon Center we appreciated the enclosed walk way to the venue. Parking is part of the room stay and is located beneath the hotel which is nice because this is Minnesota right?

Don't know where to start. Rooms are filthy, especially when you find rotten chicken bones and Cheetos on the floor and under the beds. Another team mate had to switch rooms because then pull out couch had hidden trash treasures in it. Felt very bad for David that works there, they have no housekeeping, and he was the only one working and trying to run the front desk at the same time! He needs to be paid a lot more money for all he did for us last night and everyone he had to deal with! Thank you David!

Fair priced nice hotel. You get a big pool and hot tub. Everytime we have work up in Mankato I book here. My reason is I love having a hot breakfast each morning. It's included with your room and always a good variety. It's the small things that make the difference for me.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on somewhere I have stayed but not doing so would be wrong. Let me start with Mr Terry the man responsible for starting every morning with my family off to an amazing start. He is the main chef/server/host and words can't describe the gratitude I have towards him for the kindness he showed my family but the key was the kindness he showed my autistic son. Every morning he knew my son would be looking for potatoes and he had them ready and even found time to bring them to him. By the time we were leaving my son hugged him and kissed him. We were only supposed to stay 3 nights then go to Minneapolis but between the convenience of them being accommodating to my Husky the convenience of the pool, spa, (which all the rooms have visual access to very easy to watch my older kids) and game room for my kids we spent all 6 days there in Mankato with an amazing staff and our beloved "Terry". Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working there which is probably why they projected so much good energy. From the moment you walk in every part of your stay you will encounter great service. The front desk, the people cleaning, and of coarse our "Terry"You can't put a price On what they did for us. Thank you all so much for the hospitality. We will be back!

Rooms are very small and the walls seem very thin sadly. All in all great place to stay if u go to the Verizon center.

We had booked our wedding reception there about a year in advance. When we originally met with Erin she was friendly and eager to work with us. She went through a lot of details regarding what was included in the room reservation and how set up would work. We were told that if there wasn't an even booked Friday night we could go in and decorate the night before otherwise we would have Saturday morning to decorate. We later met with Jerry for our food tasting. He was very pleasant to work with. He had the table set up to show us what it would look like the day of the wedding. We had requested to try the stuffed chicken and meatloaf. The food was incredible! Five weeks before the wedding I got an email from Erin telling me that they had booked a two day conference the weekend of our wedding and that the ballroom was booked until noon the day of our wedding. Once I got a hold of her on the phone, she told me there was no way they could reschedule the other event because her job was to sell the space and that we would have to work around it. I asked how we were supposed to get everything decorated when our ceremony was at 3pm and we were supposed to start pictures at 1pm. Our table decorations we're unique to where each table had a different centerpieces that went along with our nerd theme.

Booked a room plus block of rooms for our wedding 10 months prior to the big day. I contacted the manager, Trevor who had originally set up our room and block of rooms. In the weeks prior to our wedding communication was alright… I wanted to check on the block of rooms/see if we needed more etc. The week before my reservations I called Trevor 4 times. Left a message twice. No return call. I called in the morning of the reserved day to see if we could check in 1 hour early. Front desk said it wasn't cleaned yet but that it shouldn't be an issue. Arrived at the hotel to check in and the front desk lady told us we couldn't check in. When I proceeded to ask questions she responded with one word answers and was extremely rude. We came back an hour later to check in and someone else was working the front desk. He got us checked in and we headed up to our room only to find out this wasn't the suit I booked months prior. I had saved my agreement for the hotel block so I brought that to the front desk with me. Turns out. I booked the suit for 2 nights and held the block of rooms BUT all the number of rooms I blocked weren't booked so they released the suit I booked. Luckily, my guests who booked through our block still had their rooms held. The hotel was less than accommodating and blamed me for their mix up. The front desk went back to speak to his manager, who could clearly hear there was something going on, but the manager wouldnt come out to deal with the issue.

While hotel structure is definitely old, the inside has been mostly remodeled. The rooms were a little on the small side, but were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a little of a mixed bag with good potatoes and eggs, but flavorless pastries. It was a great cheap choice for an overnight stay.

Decent hotel in a nice location. Rooms were clean with no apparent issues. Pool/arcade is in the center of the hotel with some rooms facing that area (easy access). The hallways smelled of chlorine, even when not necessarily pool accessible.

So, back in April of 2017 we decided to go ahead and book our wedding reception at this hotel. We had been to several other establishments before deciding on the City Center Hotel. Upon or first two meetings with Erin Herding, Sales and Catering Manager, we were told multiple times that, if no event was booked the Friday before our wedding, we would be able to decorate Friday night, but if nothing else, we would have the space to decorate Saturday morning. This point was stressed to us on several occasions by Erin. During our food tasting, we were even told by Jerry Klein, Food and Beverage Director, that we the tables would be set and the way he showed us during our tasting, and available to decorate right away Saturday morning. Now, here we are, less that a month and a half away from our wedding date, and we have been informed that they booked another event in the space Saturday morning, and we wouldn't have the space to decorate until noon Saturday. With pictures at 1 that afternoon, and ceremony at 3, that leaves us with literally 0 chance to get things decorated for our wedding. Erin promptly threw her boss under the bus, saying that he was forcing her to book the event to bring in money. I don't care what their justification is, they violated a verbal agreement. The worst part of it all is, with so little time left before our wedding, and invites sent and RSVPs received, we are simply stuck.

I had a good experience and easy check in, but other people in our group had challenges. There were a few mix ups with our room block and our room was away from everyone else (which I was ok with) and the bride and grooms' reservation got "lost" (taken care of before they even found out). I thought parking was easy, as they are downtown but have their own parking structure, but they needed more luggage racks.

I was very disappointed with the service. First, they double booked the conference room I was going to use for my friends Bachelorettes Party. Instead of them calling me to let me know; I had to call to find out and by then I only had 2 hours until her party. After they gave me an alternative room the had the audacity to mention that the room they were letting me use was pricier than the one I booked as if it was my fault they double booked me. Furthermore, when it was time to check in the room was not ready they said the room was going to be ready in 5 min. Few minutes later they were like the room will be ready in 45 min; mind you all my stuff were at the hotel so we had to figure out were to store our personal belongings. The next day, I spoke to the Manager about my concerns. He immediately said if you want a discount we don't offer one. I told the Manager that I wanted the hotel to efficient. I was disappointed for the Manager to assume that I wanted a discount when I never mentioned discount to him.

We were very happy with our choice to stay at the Mankato City Center Hotel. Room was great. Service was great. Great location. Very clean. Great contenential breakfast. Great pool and hot tub. We will definitely be staying there again when we go back to Mankato.

We got the last king room this past Friday. Room was clean, a good size, and obviously updated semi-recently. We had a great view of the river and old town area. Breakfast was great in the morning, and the restaurant area was plenty big enough to fit everyone. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Mankato.

Just stayed here this weekend. There were many families staying there due to boys baseball games. However when they got back to hotel after playing baseball all day they kept playing! The boys and their parents took over the whole indoor pool area, loudly playing baseball with a tennis ball. Other guests couldn't enjoy that part of the hotel. In the morning that area was a mess with the beer cans left by the adults and pizza boxes, etc. Very Rude! This mess was not cleaned up until mid morning. There was no consideration for the other hotel guests. I can understand boys will be boys but the adults should know better and the hotel staff did nothing about it. We have been staying at this hotel for 36 years, we will reconsider our next stay there.

We checked into our room and I noticed the duvet was visibly soiled. I called the front desk and asked for a new one. While I was waiting for them to come with a clean one, I pulled the dirty one off and noticed the sheets had obviously not been changed. They were covered in black flecks of something and hair. It was so gross. When the front desk clerk, David, came with a new duvet, I asked him to also replace the sheets. When we took the sheets off I noticed the mattress pad was unbelievably nasty. There were multiple soiled spots varying from brown to grey in color and it looked like someone cleaned their hairbrush out and scattered it all over the mattress pad. I asked David for a new one and he told me they never changed them since they just protect the mattress. I didn't have time to argue as my daughter had a basketball game. We left and the entire game I kept thinking of how I had to go back and sleep on that nasty bedding. Of note, the replacement duvet he gave me was also dirty of face makeup. Anyway, when we came back I went to the front desk and David was there. He couldn't recall changing my bedding earlier until he looked it up in the computer. I told him there was no way I could sleep in that bed with that nasty mattress pad. He said that I wouldn't actually be sleeping in it since the sheet covered it and that there's no way he could give me a new one because they didn't have one in the entire hotel.

If I could pick "0 stars" I would. There is absolutely NO reason to stay in this hotel when you are in Mankato. Parking is absolutely horrendous, especially if you have kids. Need a baggage cart? They have 2 for the entire hotel. We recently booked a large party here. When we booked, we were assured that the hotel would be very quiet and they put our party (a 60th wedding anniversary) in the general pool area rather than in a private room. Soon the place was full of noisy drunks because of a local beer festival and hockey games. Than a Labrador retriever in a room overlooking our party barked for a solid 20 minutes before it was silenced. Food was room temperature warm and mediocre at best. 40 senior citizens sitting in silence because they couldn't hear over the noise in this "quiet" area, We then got the bill. We could have rented the local golf club for that amount. Management wouldn't negotiate on the price even though they knew the experience was a nightmare. They will never get my business again.

Overall I loved staying at this hotel! Just a couple minor nitpicks of mine would be the age of the AC/heating units, as they are somewhat dated and I found it hard to operate at times. Also I thought the hot tub needed to be a little warmer. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs! They were very fast and efficient when it came to some rowdy next door neighbors late at night, noise level went down immediately and without any problems. Check in/out was very smooth, I would definitely come back here again!

The hotel rooms are decent and the main pool area is set up nicely for everyone to know where it is and how to get there.

The location was great to the Verizon center. The elevator was overly cold. The restaurant was not open. Breakfast was fine, but we got different hours told to us each time we asked. Rooms were clean but with allergies to scents a little overpowering.

Staff are always friendly and greet you upon arrival. Always clean.

Lobby is beautiful. All of the staff were very polite. Underground parking was nice, but my husbands truck couldn't fit. Room was nice, a bit small, but nice. The thing I liked the most was that the cable actually worked like it should. However, we decided to leave the hotel a day early due to the noise and our inability to stop light coming in through the window at night. We were in a room facing the street over the hotel entrance. The curtains do not fully close — not even halfway, so at midnight, it was still light enough in our room to read a book. Literally. We ended up rigging a blanket to cover the window so we could get some sleep. As far as the noise, I can sleep through normal traffic noise, but the screeching train brakes that lasted for over 20 minutes at a time, five times after midnight woke me up out of a dead sleep every time. It is a nice hotel, I'd just be very careful to get a room that doesn't face the street… and bring an extra blanket to cover the windows regardless of where your room is.

Staff was nice. Hotel was clean, but I found the beds to hard for my taste. Also, staff didn't do much to enforce pool rules, and one rowdy and obnoxious group forced everyone else out of the pool area.

I came for a baseball tournament. The rooms are cozy and friendly atmosphere. But, Their breakfast sucks, someone could fall off the rail to the pool and die, and no dvd player. Otherwise, it is a good place.

This place is a joke. 2 years now we've had problems with this place. This year, while at a dart tournament, we booked TWO nights. Got here. The room was hot as hell, even had about employee come up and look at the thermostat. It never cooled off. Then my sister in law went to take a shower and while trying to adjust the waters temperature the handle popped off and water was spraying everywhere. So we called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. They did. Next morning while we were playing in our dart tournament, the hotel calls my husband, wondering why we weren't checking out of our room. He said we have our room for two days, and we got moved last night to a different room. They said no, we have you down for only one night. So that was a battle trying to keep our room. They eventually let us stay. When we got done with our tournament we headed back to our room … on the 4th floor … our key cards didn't work! So we had to go back down to get different key cards. While down there they asked us what happened with the damaged tub handle… so there's absolutely no communication between anyone that works there. The courtesy with this place is TERRIBLE! NO GOOD GUEST SERVICE AT ALL. Next year we will be staying at the Hillton. I would advise everyone to do the same.

Stopped at the hotel to book a room for a bachelorette party. They were very accomodating and very reasonably priced.

Free parking below the hotel. Clean, tidy rooms. Swimming pool and hot tub are in the middle of the hotel and are overlooked by about half of the rooms, so not really much privacy if that's something you're looking for in a pool. There are also some arcade games (change required) and a ping pong table next to the pool area. The breakfast was pretty good, and I believe there's a bar downstairs as well.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The experience is always enjoyable. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly.

Room layout and prices were reasonable. Pool and hot tub area was big. Worst continental breakfast I've ever seen. Staff wasn't unwelcoming and wasn't very knowledgeable.

I would prefer to stay at one of the more budget hotels on the outskirts of town without the pool and event facilities, but this is the most affordable place to stay in downtown. It definitely needs updating and maintenance. Not very quiet either — you will experience the din of rumbling pickup trucks, echoing from the pool area and evening bar patrons punctuated by the occasional locomotive from the railroad across the street. Staff is friendly and it's convenient.

I did like the bed. The G. M. Rick had very poor communication or thought for a common since situation. Smokers beware this hotel will rob you and there check in daily amount per day is a trap. Avoid this hotel looks is deceiving.

Me and 9 of my family members got bed bug bites. This place is so far from 5 stars. Lobby looks nice rest of the place looks like shit.

Very clean hotel. Non smoking through out the building. Bathroom is wonderful, shower works great, nice pool size and spa. Free Continental breakfast. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The Hotel itself has not been updated since the Holiday Inn left years ago, the rooms need to be updated, the parking garage is dirty and needs to be painted. It seems the only work that has been done since they left is TV's painted a wall here and there not much else. The canopy drive up area had several lights burned out as well. Also a little spendy spent $120.00 for a small king sized bed room, after checkout with taxes I had my total. After I got home I checked the online checkbook to see they charged me $15 extra. When I called I was informed they Charge a $15 fee "Just in case of damages But it is refunded in a day or so. " Nobody bothered to mention that to us at check in or check out. Pretty sad I had to find this out on my own. Extremely not happy with staying there and will choose a different choice next time around.

Appeal Good Facilities Poor to fair Service Poor to fair Checked in and was given a room. I went to park and the wife went up to find a room that was totally trashed and had not yet been cleaned. Went back down and got a different room in it appeared to be clean. When I took a shower, there was a large lung biscuit dried on the shower cutrain. After that, everything about the room seemed less than clean, almost to the point of disgust. Went to a game at the civic center and went back to the bar for a cocktail and something to eat. They were out of chicken wings so we subbed something else on the sampler platter. I wish we would have gone to the gas station instead, the food would have been better. The lounge only had one woman working, and to her credit, she did an amazing job pouring drinks and getting the stuff that they passed as food out in a timely manner. Her service was excellent. The continental breakfast was a joke. Again, thinking that the gas station may have been a better option. Next time, we will stay at the Hilton or go out by the mall and pay to park.

This place was disgusting. Our room was not clean when we checked in and we ended up taking out the trash of the previous hotel guest, and there was also vomit on the wall above the bed. The food at the restaurant was unedible, and the pool looked nice in the pictures, but it was too deep for kids to play in and was much smaller than what it appeared. The hotel was also full of very loud drunk people. The front desk staff was either rude or clueless depending on who was on duty. Needless to say we will not be staying here ever again.

This Hotel needs desperate updating, yet they claim it was redone before the name change. Where? This place smells. We had a large group staying there. They had a large gathering area around the pool, but no tables were set-up to sit by. We asked for a table and they charged us $10 a day. They moved us out of the area when the pool closed. So they set us up in the lobby right by the registration desk. There are much better hotels in Mankato. I will only stay here as a last resort (But before the cockroach palaces).
