Service itself was pretty good (asked for early checking and was given one with no issue), but rooms were hit or miss on cleanliness. We traveled with another couple and a single friend; our room was clean, the other couple's was okay, and the single friend's room was dirty. I'm talking stains on the walls and bugs smashed on the wall. The hot water was yellow but the cold water was not, so that was unappealing. Continental breakfast appeared to be good, but we checked out before eating so unsure about quality.

My daughter was making reservations, she checked online. It was the first trip she and her best friend had planned by themselves. They called and explained their situation, and someone at the hotel agreed to let them stay. THEN after driving from Iowa to Michigan they were turned away! I am outraged! The hotel manager's lack concern for the young ladies safety was disappointing! With the other complaints of this place don't stay here!

My wife stayed overnight for a nearby tournament. Paid for a non smoking room but was given a smoked in room that was so foul she couldn't breathe and her stomach was upset. Was told that there were no other rooms available and spent almost 3 hours with the window and door open, attempts to spray including furniture polish until a manager somehow found another room. Bed was comfortable and breakfast okay. Not sure who to blame for the room. Do they have smoking rooms and were overbooked or did some inconsiderate guest foul it up the night before? For and advanced paid rate of $54 I guess this is the risk you take.

Was supposed to get three rooms with queen beds. Got three rooms with full size beds. Two full size people could not fit in them. The breakfast was good. They ran out of food and next filled it back up. Would not recommend them.

Lobby is beautiful and the hotel overall was very clean. The rooms are a bit outdated. Not what you see in the picture, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a nice selection of both warm and cold foods for the family to enjoy. The hotel is also located right next door to a MacDonald's which I thought was pretty convenient.

The breakfast area was filthy. The first room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke. I would not stay there again.

It was ok. Priced and quality went together. Good for the quick 6 hours of sleep required to be back on the road. I stayed with my family one night.

The room was clean and very large. There were the usual amenities, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The pool was nice and very warm. The entire place, including the furniture however was very worn. We only stayed one night and didn't have the offered breakfast. We stayed there with another party that we were traveling with and they chose the accommodations. We would stay somewhere more up to date if we had chosen.

The quality of the rooms in this particular Quality Inn is surprisingly good. The building common areas feel outdated and patched overB paint jobs are messy, walls not sanded down, aging furniture and carpet… But the rooms were absolutely clean, smelled fresh, and we're very comfortable. Free breakfast is pretty standard: powdered eggs and sausage links with a waffle maker. I was pleasantly surprised.

Rooms smelled like cigarettes. The hotel supposed to be non-smoking. Breakfast kept running out of stuff. I had to go the front desk during breakfast time for restocking so my kids had to wait to eat. Need a person running breakfast. For the amount of money paid through price line the hotel was run down and dirty. Only plus the pool water was heated.

Horrible place to stay with family. No hottub, our toilet seat was broke, doorknobs was broke, no fitness room anymore, and they refused to give us more than 1 extra coffee. The bed was comfy enough, and besides all of the problems we had the breakfast was good.

I personally didn't like this hotel, the hallways smell like cigarettes smoke and it's outdated, the room I visit the bedcovers had burnt holes in it, and the room wasn't as clean as it should be and the fact you don't get a receipt when you paid. I wasn't satisfied.

Checked in at around afternoon. On Monday march 26 2018. Monday in our room. Was fine On Tuesday went and got 2 blankets. Well one of the blankets that I had must have had bed bugs in it. Because I woke up itching next day still itching. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to the soap. So got up and took. A shower. Put on my purple shirt. Laying on the bed. Noticed a yellow bug crawling across my shirt. I smashed it. Thursaday I looked on my chest I have 8 bites welts. Went up to the front Desk told the Lady. She said it looks like bed bug bites. We checked out of the hotel. I will not be back. Our room was not as clean as it should be. The floor needs to be vacuumed around the corners and under the beds. And dusted behind the headbords. Im very itchy. We paid good money to stay their. My mother & I should have gotten our money back. Bc its not right.! We were there 4 days. A refund would Definitely be refunded.

Breakfast wasn't great, service was okay at best.

The beds were comfortable and the room was fine. A little bit of a smell in the lobby and a bit older and worn. Breakfast was pretty awful but they have a microwave and mini fridge in the rooms.

Bed was clean and comfortable. It appeared to be fairly new. Room was decent for the price. Pool looked nice. Only complaint is the people above us either had small children or something. I know when people walk it makes noises and all that. I can handle that. But this wasn't just little. Noises. It was a constant banging, stomping, running right above us all hours of the night. I was trying to not be one of those people and complain… but the noises were so loud they were waking us up. So I called the front desk and the man proceeded to tell me people walking will make that notice and that there was nobody directly above us and there was nothing he could do. To me thatsw ridiculous. Just saying.

A basic place to sleep. TV, Wi-Fi, and pool also available. Breakfast served was ok; old bananas, basic cereal, waffles, eggs and sausage. Room seemed clean, but there was obvious DIY upkeep maintenance in the room; chalking around the sink area, visible screws holding up portions of the bathroom sink, etc. Price point is the reason to stay.

Nice place to stay for cheap. Right off highway and near downtown.

The room was adequate, clean, TV, Wi-Fi, heated pool, continental breakfast 6-9 am.

Good place but the bathrooms and rooms aren't that clean. Bed covers had stains.

The dining area was over run by at least a dozen boys who were running around and not being corrected at all by the 2 men who were supposedly chaperones. Breakfast food not good at all.

If I could do no starts I would! This place is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The only good thing is the coffee pot works. It smells like a dispensary inside the entire hotel. The pool was cloudy and there were dead bugs everywhere. There was some kind of scum all over the edges of the pool. The heat in our room did not work. I would not recommend this place ever!

Found fleas in my first room. We were moved to another room and still charged! The MOD was a nice guy but he should have credited me for the issue! Otherwise it was a nice stay… lol.

Very nice rooms. Good Wi-Fi and selection of TV channels top notch.

Beds were good. Floors creaked, could hear people in the rooms above us. Power went out early in the morning, luckily I set the alarm on my phone and it was charged up before the power went out.

Doesnt even a star call them a month and a half earlier. Have the room booked and I'm in my wedding dress and all after I asked six times earlier before I booked the room before how old you got to be to rent to room. And they said 18 and older well the day I got to the hotel after I got married while I'm in my wedding dress. They turned us away and we had to find a different Hotel if you're going to stay somewhere if you're not 21 I recommend Baymont Inn and suites right down the road front desk was very rude.

I had nothing but the absolute best experience and time at the Quality Inn of Kalamazoo. It far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Great Value, Great Comfort, Great Breakfast and the staff was absolutely fantastic.

Quality Inn is a budget luxury hotel that caters to the majority. Amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, and sauna are staples of luxury brands; but the decor, bedding, carpeting, and televisions remind you that you're "balling on a budget". The hotel is perfect for young couples and families, or truckers that don't mind paying for the extras not offered by standard budget fare.

My stay at the Kalamazoo location was sub par as far and quality inns go. The room, while not dirty, smelt of smoke, though it was clearly marked as a non smoking room. The pool left a lot to be desired. The breakfast included "eggs" and even on the scale of powdered eggs, could only be considered yellow tire rubber. The shower and water pressure were phenomenal, as was the quality of the Wi-Fi. All things considered, I would give an overall rating of acceptable to this particular location, but this falls short of my expectations for the quality inns.

Horrible stayed here for the holiday and got bit by bed bugs and went to the hospital. The infection was from the bed bugs! Do not stay here.

We had a horrible time and switched rooms 2 times and then got bed bugs. I would not recommend this place to anyone the filth of the building with rooms falling apart and 2 families were bitten by bed bugs. This place needs to b shut down if they don't take care of there bug problem.

I came here with my family for the Christmas holiday and I got bit up by bed bugs. In the bathroom tub it had red spots all over it. The staff was nice. I would not recommend coming here. Even other guest have complained about the bugs and someone on the management told me not to come here again because they have a bed bug infestation.

Decent room near WMU campus for the price. Would return.

This is the absolute most terrible hotel in the world! We were given a free room because the air conditioner destroyed our belongings a few months ago, once we checked in and out our things in the free room and went out for a while the manager deactivated our room keys and refused to give us our belongings until we paid for the room after he gave it to us free… the pool is overgrown with algae and the entire place smells like a meth lab! Now we are banned from ever going on the property which is fine by me! Police had to intervene to recover our belongings! What a crap shack!

I always chose to stay at this Quality Inn. It has a friendly staff and the manager is one of the nicest men you will meet. He is very customer service oriented. The breakfast is hot and fresh tastes good and has a variety for all ages. The cleanliness of the rooms is always guaranteed (at least my experiences) I would recommend this location to anyone, family or couples.

Nice and pleasant stay. People were courteous and kind. The room was clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good.

Clean beds doors locked and my vehicle didn't broke into so pretty good.

Easy check in, was able to use a voucher we got online, staff was quite nice.

They were able to accommodate us the evening of our event and the following day. The receptionist, Angel, is very pleasant and friendly. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was what you would expect from a free continental breakfast.

Easy access to the hotel right off the highway, close to a few gas stations and also a McDonald's right across next to the hotel so there's no busy road to cross. My wife and I got the jacuzzi tub suite and the room seemed a little run down. The tub worked great which is the main thingthing, but the walls had spackle put on them and were painted over, but with the wrong color of paint. It just seemed like the room needed anan upgrade or that hotel needs a remodel or something. We both slept well and the bed, blanket, and pillows were all comfortable. May stay in a different hotel or something more modern.

The room was clean I stayed in a quality inn in Kalamazoo MI. I didn't have any room service during my stay so I can't say how it was.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was pretty good size. The pillows on the beds were way too small and not comfortable. Sometimes you could smell cigarette smoke from your non smoking room. The pool was okay but not hot tub. The breakfast was not very good and had little options.

Very poor, unprofessional staff. We stayed three nights, out of the (12) showers that were taken, hot water for (3) of them. We kept getting threatened to be kicked out by one of their employees because of other kids running in the halls, not mine. Smoke filled entrance. My daughter went to get hot chocolate and got the hot water, only to look at it and the water was brown with particles floating in it. This hotel has some issues. I would not stay here again!
