Very nice place if your looking for somewhere cheap. Ghetto but very nice people. Definitely a stoner community!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Absolutely FILTHY! The rooms are nasty, the area is sketchy, and the front desk person was completely rude. There was a stain on the bedding and the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. At 230 in the morning, we were woken up by a group of 15+ people brawling right outside of our room. People were screaming and beating each other up and ended up hitting our car. My husband and I immediately packed up our stuff and I called the front desk to let them know I wasn’t staying there and I wanted a refund. The staff member was extremely rude and didn’t seem to care that we felt completely unsafe. Thankfully, orbitz got us our money back, no thanks to the staff at the Econo Lodge.

Horrible! I had my infant son with me. Went to give him a bath. The tub was filthy! The pool had NO parent supervising their children, and woke up to a cockroach on the night stand! I called and kept being told there was no manager. 3 days later finally got ahold of the manager and was only refunded $20 on a $78 room. Never again!

The service has been good. The rooms clean, and are pet friendly.

Vary clean and smoke free hotel. The people that work there are friendly and will get you a room asap. Love it.

The kalamazoo location was a disaster from start to end. The bathtub faucet fell off shortly into a shower. The front desk clearly wasn't all too pleasant when responding to the issue. We were moved to a different room in which one of the beds had cigarette burns on the bedsheet. The continental breakfast is a joke. One type of muffin, one kind of cereal, juice, and coffee. Worst hotel experience ever.

Place is a dump and smells like weed mildew. The pool is filthy. But it's cheap and my room was clean so that's something.

House keeper was rude. The room wasn't clean. Cigarette holes in the blanket. It's located on sprinkle road, Kalamazoo Michigan.

This place is a dump! Nothing but filth! Smells like smoke horribly and weed! Wish I could have seen this place before we booked the room! Don’t waste your time here. Very disgusted and disappointed. Overall feel of the place is dirty.

This place is a hot mess and filthy. The room I rented didn't even have heat.

My girlfriend has been here off and on as a loyal customer for many years, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the only issues is the tub faucet is loose, and the only microwave is in the lobby, but the area is beautiful, beds Comfortable, TV's nice, and we were able to receive wake up calls when needed, we will continue to come here as our choice hotel.

Great place for the price. Breakfast however is limited.

They were actually quiet unlike other busy hotels at night and I loved the muffins.

Waiting to get in to my apartment after moving to be closer to my doctors I stayed here for a little over a week. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. I wish the same could be said for the for the front desk staff. I was made to feel as if I wasn't welcomed. It's extremely difficult to dind housing in Kalamazoo so many of the guest live there. I was made to feel unwelcomed because I wasn't a friend or related to the desk staff. The room itself was in need of updates and repair. The housekeeping staff did the best they could with what they had to work with. Perhaps the owner should rethink the staffing and put the housekeeping staff on the front desk.

This was the nastiest place I ever stayed at. Carpet was so nasty, rooms had a cigarette smoke smell to it. This is a so call smoke free place. Just A Nasty Place.

Would not recommend to others and would not choose to stay here again. The room could use a thorough cleaning and unreasonably noisy all night long and then the staff seemed to think it was okay to talk amongst themselves at more than a normal decibel just after 5:00 a. M. And continued on for more than half an hour in the hallway. In the service industry, we found this totally unacceptable! Overall. Not pleased!

Nasty! Couldn't even get the room booked on Expedia. Luckily their computer was slow. Took a half hour to try to check in. Told them too cancel and stayed across the street at a nice hotel for the same money!

This is a great place for those who are trying to get on they're feet between housing if you follow. It's privately owned so you can complain but won't do any good. Be careful. It's good for a cheap quick one night stay emphasis on cheap. The hallways have scent of meth often. The management does try very hard to run decent establishment. Most of the employees live at the motel so again you can complain but… Anyway good place to stay for those down but not quite out.

Stayed the night there for one night. Checked in, step out of the shower, pair of men's dirty underwear behind the door. Told me housekeeping would take care of it in the morning. Makes me wonder if the room really got cleaned…

The room was actually clean and didn't have any obvious odor (as opposed to some reviews). The room itself was pretty nice for the price. However I took a star off what I would have given for the very annoying house keeper who decided to pound on my door and yell "house keeping" repeatedly even after the front desk had asked if I wanted house keeping today and I said no, had the "Do not disturb" sign on the handle, and yelled "no thank you" in response multiple times. Only after I stopped answering, several more knocks, and a failed attempt to enter the room due to the deadbolt did this strangely persistent person give up. I could understand this if they suspected I was up to something or had been in the room for days rejecting house keeping and they were worried I was allowing an unreasonable amount of work to pile up for them, but I had literally checked in eight hours before this incident and had been quiet the entire time.

Check-in was awesome. The guy that worked during the night shift was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, but the tub didn't drain while taking a shower so it was like standing in a pond. The bed was super soft, better than any other hotel I have been to. The breakfast is a joke, it's literally two types of cereal (off brand fruit loops and some type of whole grain cereal) and bread with grape jelly or butter. The guy that worked in the morning is pretty rude, we didn't feel comfortable to sit out in the "eating" area to eat our cereal, instead we just went back to our room for the last couple hours we had the room. The checking out wasn't too great, but it wasn't horrible either. There was no one at the desk, and we waited there for about 10 minutes before someone finally came up. The guy wasn't very friendly, kind of stand-offish but he wasn't entirely rude either. I am giving this hotel a 4 star because everything else besides the breakfast guy, checkout guy and breakfast was worth every penny.

Pretty dirty with lots of people hanging out side smoking. Room clean but an overall smell. Would not book again.

For what you pay this was well worth it. Updated rooms and friendly staff. Stay here every time I am in area on business. Awesome place.

Be careful. The place is unsafe. Many people walking around and hanging out at night. Loud music. The door in our room looked like someone forced themselves in. Ghetto people all around. It's a trashy place.

Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The room stayed in had two queen beds, nice TV with cable, although there was not a lot of room there was everything I needed in there. I was promised TWO roll away beds and only received ONE and after working a 14 hour shift one of my workers had to sleep on the floor. Not to mention, we didn't get the roll away bed until about 3 hours before checkout. Also, the bathroom is extremely small. So it is hard to change in there. The service was good except for the issue with the bed.

Horrific piece of trash hotel in hicks town. Leah the manager is a complete joke. The hotel is filthy. Noisy. And disgusting.

Do not waste your time. Rooms were dirty and location felt unsafe. We left immediately after we checked in and received a refund from management after they agreed with us that the room was uninhabitable.

Nice flat screen TV rooms are big because it's an older building it's been remodeled staff is accommodating outdoor pool somebody wrote that the staff asked them if they wanted it for an hour or if they were staying overnight that is a total lie due to they do not rent rooms here by the hour ever I been here over a year and know this for a fact the hotel is definitely not a four or five star hotel but is very accommodating and they care about keeping the hotel up all outside doors and room doors are key entry only you can't get in the building if you do not have a key card the outside of the building has been totally overhauled and landscape overall very comfortable otherwise I guarantee you I would not have been here a year.

Scary place. Booked online that day due to bad weather and not being able to get as far as we'd hoped. Checked in after midnight with my 2 teenagers. Prostitutes in the parking lot. Filthy room and cold showers. It was too late to find a different place but we got out of there as early as possible. Just nasty, especially for the price.

Booked through Expedia for 7/18/15 check-in. We checked in at 3:41pm, the room wasn't ready. Finally, got to the room at 4:15. The door was left open. We got in the room. Prior guest dirty sock on the floor. I worked in hotels for 12 years so I start looking around. Prior guest snacks still in the cabinet. Prior guest dirty washcloth still hanging in the tub. Bathroom door won't close. Come to find out the door lock is broken and that's why the door was open. Disgusting substances on wall and comforter. Needless to say, we didn't stay. By 4:30 we were at the front desk saying we were not gonna stay. We wanted a refund. They said call Expedia. I called Expedia, they called the hotel… no refund — we "occupied" the room. WHAT! I have been in some really bad hotels over the years. This one takes the cake.
