Abysmal internet speeds: 0.1 Mbps. Average Verizon speed? 0.4Mbps. It's 2018, so why are my internet speeds worse than Somalia?

One of my the better hotels I've stayed at! Whitney, the night time front desk girl, was amazing! We checked in at 1 AM and she was amazingly helpful. When we told her we were coming for a college visit, she asked if we needed directions to the campus the next day! My daughter and I both thought she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The staff is very accommodating and super friendly. The room was well appointed and very clean. I will definitely return next time I'm in town!

The location is good with restaurants and a bowling alley close by. The hotel was clean and well kept and breakfast had good options. The pool is a little small though, but the area was also very nice.

Looks great from the pictures and at first glance. Found dirty socks in the room from some other person who stayed before us. My daughter got bit by a bug that was is in THE BED! Breakfast was OK. We had one lady who was rude and one lady that was nice. I would never stay here again! Ever!

Ordered a room with two beds, they put me in the wrong room with only one bed. I told them about the issue. They then switched us to a room that had someone still inside it. They then switched us to ANOTHER room, which was exactly like the first one, and there was no room within the room to put a cot. Finally they found us a room, but it required one of us to sleep on the cot. I didn’t pay to sleep on a pull out bed. Very disappointed in the end settlement, happy with their pleasant service though.

It was a nice hotel and the staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast in the morning was definitely more than I expected. I was disappointed that they didn't have a bar or a restaurant. They don't have a beer or liquor license either so you can't pick anything up in the lobby fridges either.

Friendly, courteous staff. Clean, fragrant rooms. Nice, bright atmosphere.

The hotel was clean and fairly easy to access. (They had just received a lot of snow when I arrived, so it took a second to find the entrance under the snow). Staff was nice. Some fast food restaurants were near by and some chain restaurants about 5 minutes away by car. Breakfast is included and was a good simple breakfast with eggs, meat, fruit, waffles, and bread. Also have tea, fruit juice and coffee.

Room was clean and had very comfy bed. Breakfast was very good, had more options than your average hotel. Would stay here again!

The lobby is very modern, warm and well put together. It has a nice flow to it. The front desk associates are inviting, yet professional. The location is accessible from both ways off of one of the main roads in Cedar Rapids.

This is one of the most beautiful, newest multi million dollar Fairfield Inn’s. Nice and new! BUT NO ELECTRIC OUTLETS ANYWHERE! Good thing the electric cars aren’t very popular! Or not like anyone checking in would own a diesel pickup truck! Why would you have a electric plug in available for your patrons on these cold below zero nights? One would think one of the most recognized names in the hotel business would consider the area and the climate.

Very impressed for hotel! Breakfast was delicious, eggs, turkey sausage, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, fruit! Rooms are extremely nice and the interior walk is very pleasant!

First of all, reasonable. Rooms are new and clean. I have been staying here from past 3 days and there isn’t a single thing to complain. Even the breakfast is pretty good.

This is a great hotel! In fact I'm second guessing not making this 5 stars? Great rooms and room privacy. You hear no other sounds! Friendly staff and fitness center, pool, and hot tub… not sure it gets better? Oh wait… no bar here. That's the only strike against. Highly recommend staying here!

The hotel manager was extremely rude. I booked online requesting a double bed but ended up getting a single king bed in the room. I called the manager asking for assistance and she said it wasn't her problem. She offered no help or even to look to see if other rooms were available. Based on her actions, I will not be staying at a Fairfield again. Highly disappointed. I have always had good experiences at Marriott owned properties. It is too bad that one bad experience can taint a hotel chain.

This hotel was a standard Fairfield. The room was clean and up to date. I loved that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast had good selection but was not very good quality. All in all a satisfactory stay.

The rooms and hotel are very nice, they even come with a free buffet breakfast. The pool, although slightly small, and the hot tub were fantastic. The only downside we had was there wasn't a vent in the bathroom to let the steam out, so it sat there. And that the ice Machine on our floor was broken.

It is clean, breakfast is ok. I feel like it is in a rough side of town. But I didn't pay for the room. So I couldn't complain too much.

Very nice rooms and you can get the chance to see the how the other side lives in the traveling and the best of the best. And not a problem with the two of us to be in the sleeping double in a single bed / room. Most important thing to me that I am so excited to get a new place to stay in while I'm away from home and for me to come back from a nice little break from the outside world. Great, very clean room. I was concerned that I was going to be kept up by the elevator because my room was right next to it but it was all soundproofed very well and not a problem at all. The front desk staff was very helpful in booking a room last minute after another local hotel did not allow me to check in. The shower was great, it was huge and very nice. My one problem was that the pool and hot tub area was filled with young kids from some sports event and it was extremely loud and impossible to enjoy the hot tub. Regardless, I would definitely stay here the next time I need to travel to Cedar Rapids.

Pleasant staff and well-maintained rooms made staying here quite nice. Breakfast in the morning was a great addition.

Lobby is really nice. Rooms are… eh. My room is next to the elevator, which is nice, but also annoying. The elevator makes enough noise to wake you from a light sleep, and a surprising number of people use the elevator after midnight.

Nice, clean hotel. Was here on a business trip and it had everything I needed. Only 10 mins from CID airport.

People were friendly, breakfast was great, and the rest was nice. The only downside was that there was no room service.

Nice rooms and lounge area, Wi-Fi could be better.

My husband travels for work and booked our hotel room hours prior to our arrival. We drove 6 hours for his travels to Cedar Rapids. Because of work, he wasn't able to check in until after 9pm. Upon arrival, we were told that our reservation and name was found for the stay but that they were completely booked solid. To our dismay we called reservations who indicated that they were on the same reservation system and was able to see that rooms were indeed available, but the night manager once again indicated that rooms were not available. Instead of going into a phone battle, we decided to travel 6 hours back to our original location (especially because other available hotels were out of our way, travel wise) and my husband had to be at work by 1pm the following day. After calling customer service the next day we were told that because of the late check in it was assumed that we would not show and our reservation was released. Any further dispute would have to be with the Cedar Rapids hotel manager who was not available for the day. Overall this was a very disappointing attempt at pleasing the customer as responsibility for the inconvenience seems to be passed to and fro. After this encounter, we are now reconsidering our rewards membership with Marriott hotels after four years.

Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. EDIT: Just had to edit down to 3 stars. The free "high speed" wi fi is limited to 0.1 mps. Yes, that's accurate. They offer higher speeds for $5 a day. How about just raise your price the $5 and give real high speed Internet access?
