Clean and comfortable stay. Nice hotel with a good free breakfast include in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was pretty good, a little dated, but was close to the Kirkwood college so that's what I went with. The person who checked me in was very helpful and even had a list of what food was close by to the hotel (which made getting dinner really easy! ) The room was big and the bed was pretty okay. I was on the first floor, but didn't have much noise from any direction after about 9. The bathroom was pretty good and the scents of the bathroom soap/shampoo was pretty nice. The breakfast was decent, but hot. There was scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit salad, oat meal, etc. Their juice machine had about 4 different types and their coffee was actually pretty good. Overall, I really would suggest staying overnight if you're in the area for either the airport or something else.

A great stay at an above average hotel. The bed was very comfortable but the best part were the abundance of pillows. Six, to be exact. The 4am breakfast was key when my flight was at 6am… And it wasn't just fruit and granola bars — egg sandwiches and a waffle maker with fresh fruit and cereal. Although I didn't take advantage of the fitness center or pool, they were a nice addition had I more time.

Very clean, very welcoming. The place was quiet. Rooms were very comfortable. The free hot breakfast was very good and there were a lot of options. Definitely a place to stay at again.

Decent free breakfast, hot tub wasn't too hot the pool could've been warmer but it was ok over all, I forgot swim diapers but was able to buy some from the front desk. Free cookies were good but no chocolate chip which was a tad disappointing because I love the chocolate chip ones, weelchair accessable room was smaller than the king room. Over all I enjoyed my stay very much.

Front desk staff pleasant at check-in. Housekeeping very nice. Room and hotel very clean. Breakfast plentiful and wide selection with waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, pastries and bread along with coffee, milk and juice. I was wary since it was by the airport, but it was very quiet at night when I was there. I found an excellent price on Priceline ($40/night). I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in town.

Bang for the Buck, clean rooms, great desk clerks and a fun atmosphere made our stay pleasant. Parking was a little too tight, but everything else was fantastic.

Front desk staff were not friendly and seemed to hate their jobs. That was after waiting about 10 minutes to even get to talk to one of them. Our room was terrible: window covers wouldn't fully close to block the outside light from coming in, our pillows were completely flat, there was an intense blinking smoke detector directly above our bed that we couldn't seem to block from our vision, walls were paper thin and we could hear every guest walk by, slam their door, or turn their showers on. When some of the doors would slam, it would actually rumble our room walls. We hoped to use the airport shuttle and leave our car there while on vacation, however they had a strict policy that that had to be taken care of prior to checking in (which we were not aware of). I am glad we were there for only one short night and we will not be staying here again in the future. AmericInn is just down the street… stay there instead!

Great hotel. Terrible desk staff. I mean terrible teribble desk staff. I actually would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the extremely rude and unprofessional staff.

It's not the Waldorf, but you don't pay stupid high prices either. Room was clean and we'll appointed. Surprised by a night light, and a comforter. Staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend it for a good night's stay.

Left a lot to be desired. Staff was very good. Could have been cleaner. Cable Didn't work. Didn't get much sleep with new checkins slamming doors, shaking the entire room, floor and walls. Shuttle was good. Overall, not bad, but could be a lot better.

Had a nice stay — clean room, nice pool, very friendly front desk staff to check us in. Breakfast was pretty good with a few hot items. Great value — would stay again!

This is probably the 4th time staying at this location with our dogs. Rooms are nice and spacious as usual. This time, however, we stayed when the weather was in the single digits or below zero, and there was cold air coming from the window area. Overall, though, the value was quite good.

Nice rooms but we picked this motel specifically for it's location to the airport. When we made the reservations, we were told and assured many times, that although we arrived after the hotel shuttle stopped running, we could call the motel and have them send a cab which they would then pay for. When we called to arrange a cab, we were told that the motel did not provide transport and we had to find our own transportation at 2 a. M. In an unfamiliar town.

I've been here for about 10 days, everyone that works here is awesome. Their warm professional attitude will bring me hee again, more so will make me use them in any city I visit henceforth. It's clean, and very provisional. I got free detergent, and even botgered them a lot because im very picky, but they served with smiles still. I'd rather not mention any names as it'd be unfair to those that I don't know their names. Their breakfast compared to others is not greasy. I'd be back again & again. 10 stars all the way.

We needed to be in Iowa City for the night, and this hotel was only a 20 minute drive away and it was a cheap option. The room was big and had everything a standard hotel room would have, including a refrigerator and a microwave. Breakfast was also included. The staff was also friendly and helpful.

The location was great just off the interstate and close the the airport. Rooms were pretty basic. Beds were comfortable but nothing fancy. The floor was a little dirty in the elevator and in the hallway.

I highly recommend this place. The staff was nice and greatly helpful. The room was clean and has great free WI-FI. There is a free breakfast with a good selection. The pool and hot tub were perfect size and temperature. Great place to go if you're in the area.

Very nice hotel. Lots of plugs near the bed, hotel staff was very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was what was expected. Definitely staying here again if in Cedar Rapids.

The room was clean and the service was mostly decent. We were checking out just as breakfast was ending and decided to grab a quick bite before heading home. The employee cleaning up the breakfast area snapped at us about breakfast being over. She made us feel very unwelcome.

The room is designed much better than most comparable motel rooms. Plus it has great "extras, " like hiding the mini fridge and microwave in a huge cabinet, and having a phone charger, on the table between the beds — — I didn't have to unplug the clock. I'd truly recommend this place!

As of March 2017, they are in the midst of a remodel and I was in one of the older rooms. The older rooms show signs of the old Carlson attention to detail. The new fixtures look to be a much more maintenance friendly setup from what I saw staged up in the halls that were being remodeled. The breakfast area shows where they're going. Clean and comfortable. It is a solid competition for Hampton Inn. I would stay here again.

Saw the rooms, wasn't a guest. Rooms were very nice. Service is great. Place was clean. If I was a guest, I would stay here.

Staff was super friendly! Room was clean and comfortable. Easy access from the interstate and the airport. Free cookies and coffee 24/7 in the lobby! Breakfast was nothing special just what you would expect for a free breakfast. Food was good though. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very clean and pleasent. We really enjoyed outlr stay and loved the late checkout. We do wish breakfast was served a little longer though.

Accommodations were great. But front desk would not honor published rate when I arrived. The actual rate was $32.00/ night higher that what was published. Otherwise would have given a 5 star rating.

Save your money and stay somewhere else. 150$ a night for a suite with the separate bedroom is robbery. There were no dishes in the room when we arrived, and it took over 24 hours to have some "brought up". A second set of dishes was given to a roommate on their way up, the box and all of the dishes were filthy, obviously having not been cleaned. Breakfast buffet is a joke. Rosemary potatoes covered in rosemary, and cold every day. How that;s possible on a steam table, 5 minutes after they set them out, is a mind bender. Bagels and bread that were several days old, at least. Not sure how old a bagel is when it starts flaking off the outside crust before you even toast it. Burnt eggs, bacon and sausage, each on a different day. The toilet handle broke two days before we checked out. I asked the front desk if someone could come by after 2pm as we were working nights. No one shows up, got to listen to the toilet draining for two days. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, but the pullout bed had a mattress that was about 3 inches thick. Extremely uncomfortable, coupled with the "water" or piss stains on the couch. Couldn't see to cook, even with the light on. The stove tops in this room likely hadn't been cleaned since the death of Christ. Room was huge, internet was fast, TV channels were ok. Save your money, the Doubletree closer to downtown was only 115$ a night when I made this reservation. Should have stayed there.
