Very nice place to stay. Clean and very friendly and helpful! we stayed 2 nights and it was enjoyable. Nice little neighborhood also. I would recommend them to anyone!

My family or (Tribe) as we call ourselves for there are Seven of us recently stayed in the Carriage house. I must say that Myrna and Jo are Amazing host and made us feel most welcomed! The carriage house was wonderfully decorated and gave my family the privacy we needed with five kiddo’s. Myrna and Jo served us breakfast over in the main house and treated us as if they had known our family for years. We definitely look forward to staying again when our travels bring us nearby.

We love Joe and Myrna they are very nice. They are also very gracious host always checking to see what time you want to eat breakfast. Myrna makes a very good eggs Benedict and also very good French toast. Another great aspect of the bed and breakfast is the porch everytime we come we sit out on the porch and talk for hours.

Market Street Inn was our first bed and breakfast experience. It was so wonderful to visit another establishment might be a disappointment. We loved the comfortable, beautiful historic setting, and our hostess was the best most attentive lady. Try it. You’ll love it.

We stayed for two nights and it was an awesome experience. The owners were extremely nice and attentive. Rooms were absolutely awesome, with jetted tubs, TV remote control fire place, 4 poster king sized bed. The best breakfast ever and service to match. I would recommend market street inn to anyone coming to taylorville.

My wife and I loved this bed and breakfast. The room was spacious and clean, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and it was fun to make new friends with fellow guests. We hope to return in the future.

What a beautiful place in a small town in the midwest! We came through town on a family trip and really just needed a place that was clean, safe, and near my parents. I knew it would be nice, but honestly, we were bowled over by how lovely it was! We stayed in the carriage house so we would have some extra room. It was really nice — — two fireplaces, huge bathroom, and kitchenette. Comfy, cozy, and quiet. When we walked over to the main house for breakfast, our jaws hit the ground. What a beautiful home! Because no other guests had arrived, Buz told us we could peek into any room with an open door. I felt like a little kid, getting to explore. Room after room after room — so many nooks and little corners — every one with something wonderful to discover! The owners have done a fantastic job with this home. They were away for the holiday, so Buz, their assistant, took care of us. He was so conscientious about making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hospitality at Market Street is A+! The breakfasts were yummy! Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, toast and muffins, bacon and sausage, fresh fruit — — we left there feeling very spoiled!

The market street inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Taylorsville Illinois. I stayed in the eagles nest room which had a tv, Jacuzzi tub, and shower. Service was amazing.

Joe, Myrna, and Buzz go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be… The breakfasts are delicious, the accommodations are superb!

My loving boyfriend was looking at different B&B on the internet and came across this lovely place. After getting some information we both decided to give this place a try since this would be our very first B&B experience, and I must say the decision to stay here was the best choice we have made. We where treated to a warm reception as we entered the home and treated with such great hospitality. We where given the tour and we where shown to our room and it was amazing. Clean, well stocked and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the only regret that I have is that we couldn't stay longer! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing get away retreat! Also it's situated in an area that has many great places to eat. Another benefit of staying here as well.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it was amazing to say the least! We were in town for a regional race in May and a States race in June at the CCQMA located at the fairgrounds and we stayed both times. The food was delish, especially the egg dish, and the rooms were very clean! The owners are awesome and showed us excellent customer service!

We planned to visit our son and his family in Taylorville, and because it is a small town, thought we would have to stay in nearby Springfield or Decatur, approx. 30 min away. Our daughter-in-law told us of the Market Street Inn. We liked the pictures we saw online and decided to make a reservation. It didn't take long, after we arrived to know we were in for a treat! Joe and Myrna made us feel right at home and encouraged us to look around. Our room was beautiful… relaxing and peaceful. And the common areas were inviting and very comfortable. In fact, we invited our son and his family to see the Inn and spent the night visiting in the "parlor" (with Joe and Myrna's blessing). Myrna even provided home made cookies for our "guests". We were only there overnight, but we are already looking forward to another visit. Thank you, Joe and Myrna for being such wonderful hosts!

Great experience! A lovely historic house with beautiful unique rooms. It had modern amenities and was very clean. Joe and Myrna were excellent hosts and provided a wonderfully prepared breakfast. Highly recommend.

Market Street Inn is warm and welcoming. The guest rooms have a great décor filled with period furniture. Breakfast was superb! Best of all the innkeepers, Joe and Myrna, are knowledgeable and cordial. They made our stay memorable, making us feel special.

The Market Street Inn is one awesome place to stay if you are visiting Central Illinois. The rooms are fantastic and decorated to go with the room name. The Breakfast are one of the Highlights of the stay as they usually have a surprise item which again is always quite tasty. Myrna and Joe are delightful hostess and host, with a trememdous amount of knowledge of the area and history of Taylorville as well as the story behind the Inn. We have stayed here many times and it is a necessity for Class Reunions. The front porch becomes the meeting place for many of the locals to come join those who are in town for the occasion. Our personal favorite is the Chimney Room.

Without question, Market Street Inn is the best place to stay in Taylorville. The Inn is tranquil and comfortable, and Joe and Myrna were very accomodating.
