Where do I begin… within the first 5 minutes of being in the room I had to turn the mini fridge OFF because of how loud it was. I went out for some "nearby shopping" which was some run down strip mall not even worth my time. Came back and ordered a salad from Bar Louie that I can still feel digesting horribly in my stomach (I don't really recommend it). Went back up into my room to eat and they forgot to give me a fork! Who gets To Go at a hotel and doesn't need a fork… I went to call room service but my phone in the room didn't work. Plus it was missing half the buttons. Had to call the hotel from my cell phone just to get room service to bring me a fork. Told them about the phone so they sent up 2 different people (one with fork, one maintenance) but they were at least nice and prompt. Then about 9:30 pm the speaker on the hotel phone (which the maintenance man had fixed earlier) all the sudden turned on and started dialing, went to a hotel voicemail and tried to dial out to 7 before I unplugged it! Now I'm absolutely freaked to go to bed! When you feel the need to literally check every inch of the place for a hidden camera or something, you know it's not the best place to stay! The bed isn't that great either. I thought Holiday Inn was supposed to be one of the nicer chains out there. I have reservations set for this same hotel next week too but I will definitely be canceling them! They get one star for having a nice bathroom and another for a nice staff.
The room over all was very comfortable with a large bathroom. However while I was there a high school event at the hotel and several of the students were smoking weed in the hotel. Otherwise it was a great stay.
