Spacious suites with all the things you have at home! Stove, Microwave, dishes, and even a dishwasher! They will bring you anything you need such as extra towels. The free breakfast is always a good variety and very tasty!

We had a great stay before flying in the morning. Room was nice and spacious and clean, water pressure was awesome, and it was very quiet. Best thing about this hotel was the customer service. Since it was mine and my wife's first time traveling alone we were a little underprepared and had some strange requests but they helped us out with everything they could. Only thing I would change is having a pool but we knew that when we booked. No complaints at all and looking forward to staying there again on our return.

Stayed the night while visiting a friend in Chicago. Checking in and out was hassle free. They had a complimentary breakfast that included sausages, eggs, french toast, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and more. Lots of stores and restaurants close enough that I walked there. Would definitely stay again.

Room was good, very poor guest relations. Breakfast was good but limited in quantity, rude employees discourteous to the core when asked for help. They cannot get away saying they don't speak English, their body language reflected how they consider us. Also, I would recommend not keep any valuables in the room, house keeping left our room door open after cleaning while we are out, when reported to front desk you get to hear the lamest excuse. For the record, there is no manager onsite or he doesn't have the courage to meet a customer who wants to report genuine concerns. You can go here to crash for a night but definitely not for pleasure. What pisses me more was there weren't serious about customers and the entire the hotel is run by inexperienced staff with poor guess relations.

Great room and they were very accommodating when I needed to check in early. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was disgusting. I arrived along with another gentleman. We stood at the front desk for 15 minutes before the clerk came to greet us. The gentleman had to call corporate to tell them we'd been standing there waiting. When it was my turn to check in I was really grossed out because the clerk kept wiping her nose with her entire hand then… handed me the keys with that same hand. The breakfast area was nice and bright. When I got to my "suite" the room appeared to be okay, I put my purse on the kitchenette counter and checked out the space and it was fine on initial inspection. No need bugs and the sheets appeared to be clean. I went to pick up my purse and I was stuck to the counter! I looked closer and saw the sticky mess on the counter as well as chunks of food that were stuck on in several places… gag. There was dish soap and kitchen cloths so I soaped one up and cleaned up the counters as well as the outside of the fridge. I had to use my room key card to scrape off all of the stuck on food. The bathroom was no better. Pubic hair on the floor and in the bathtub, soap sum so thick I could scrape it off with the key card and Staines all over the tiled floor. I took the kitchen dish cloth and wiped up the floor and got it clean with minimal effort. I thought about asking for a different room but figured that they were probably all like mine. Plus, I was very tired. There were no wash cloths or Tub mat so I had to call the desk and ask for these items… twice.

I'll never stay at this hotel ever in life. I watched the hotel staff take a pic of my credit card and id. She denied doing it saying I was seeing things. I asked to speak with a manager then she left me at the front desk for over 20 mins. I was considering leaving but realized she had took my id and credit card with her. When she came back claimed there was no manager available and told me the room I booked was already rented out. Being the fact that I was already tired and didn't feel like going to another to another hotel. The room they gave me was okay. I slept pretty good and had breakfast in the am. While having breakfast I noticed the same lady taking pics of ID's and credit card numbers. Now I don't know if it was a race issue or whatever but I noticed they gave different ethnic groups a hard time checking in. Smh never again. When checking in here make sure u keep up with your credit card statement.

I stayed at this hotel when visiting my family and it was very relaxing, breakfast was very tasty every morning. The rooms were very clean. I love that they had a microwave, stove and a full size fridge. It was very comfortable and for the price. I will definitely stay there again.

We were up for the weekend. The person that checked us in was very nice and made sure we had the right room. She made sure to move us away and give a larger sweet because we had a baby. 1 bed apt style was perfect for thism The location was perfect… walking distance from a Target and restaurants.

What can I say, the place is dirty… We stayed for 2 nights, and it was obvious the room had not been cleaned properly for a long time. No one came in to the make up the beds or see if we need more towels or just to collect the trash. With so many other hotels around I'm sure we will not be staying here again. Oh I almost forgot: the pullout bed was made in hell…

I stayed at this place for work for over 2 months and earned a lot of member points. The only issue I had during the first stay was a few spiders that committed suicide right before my eyes. I decided to use some of my points for a free stay with my husband so I could visit my old team at work. Then we noticed so many things that grossed us out. I'm attaching photos for you all to see. Another person's genital hair on the shower wall. Two photos of blood spots on the wall behind the bed. Last one is a nasty smear on our headboard of the bed. Please check where you stay before opting for a reasonable room.

Good place to stay at a reasonable price. Self serve breakfast is included as well. We will stay there again when back in town.

Courteous staff, nice clean rooms, good breakfast. Good value for money.

Filthy, nasty, bugs, horrible bed, felt every spring. Housekeeping was a joke! The front desk folks never available. Linens were stained and old. Stay at your own risk.

I have stayed here multiple times for several months. The place is awesume. The staff is secound to none. They really make you feel your welcome. The rooms, free breakfast and dinners are absolutely great. Getting up in the morning and having everything ready to go is really nice. Cant say enough nice things about these people.

Real nice hotel. Clean rooms, business space works fine and is half the price of the big boys. Great value for the money.

Great location and clean, comfortable rooms. Woodfield mall 10mins walk away. Air conditioning seemed impossible to turn off and was so loud, as was the fridge/freezer which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Otherwise ok and nice free breakfast. Not great but would stay there again.

Excellent budget hotel. Spacious rooms. Mini kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Large, modern bathroom. Good hot breakfast. Safe area, close to plenty of shopping. And restaurants. Wi-Fi was decent. Friendly staff.

I've never been compelled to write a review for a hotel before. We stayed here because it was 10 bucks cheaper than the Americinn down the street and we just needed a place to crash before we got back on the road, so why not? Pros: — Dog friendly (with an additional fee) Cons: — The room was advertised as a room for two, but there was only a single tiny pillow on the queen sized bed when we arrived. It took an hour and two phone calls to get the pillows delivered. When you just want to go straight to sleep, that sucks. -Sheets and towels were stained. -There is a full sized refrigerator for some reason, and it is the loudest fridge known to man. It didn't look like it had been cleaned in some time. Covered in dust and cleaning supply bottle residue. -General untidiness. We decided not to use the shower after noticing how dirty everything was.

Nice room but dated appliances. Breakfast was not the most amazing but was good for a quick bite before heading out of town. Shuttle service dose not run on weekends and is only good for a 5 mile radius of the hotel not to the airport. Over all good hotel and a good location.

Front desk was great, but the restaurant at the hotel (Specifically Lamar, bar manager at the restaurant) was not great. I was on my laptop doing work at the bar, after being delayed for 2 days at O'hare, and Lamar had the nerve to tell me that I can't sit at the bar if I am going to be on my laptop. My request to Lamar is to learn customer service skills and be a better manager so your staff does not lose tips.

Great location, great service, clean rooms and friendly staff! They have nice laundry facilities, breakfast area and certain nights of the week they offer a welcome reception in the evenings with a nice variety of foods. Near lots of stores, movie theater and post office.

Nothing really wrong with the place. Cheaper. Nice location near the mall, restaurants, and a bar. Just a place now for longer business oriented stays with the desk and kitchenette. Not the best for a quick night for two. Staff was also impersonal. Not rude, just lacked a warm greeting.

Nice place! Ive never been in a hotel room with a dish washer and a full size fridge. Staff was friendly. Room was clean except for the sock covered in lint under the bed. The hotel allows pets. And I can imagine fleas are hard to control. And that explained the itchieness at the front desk on my calves.

If you are looking for a value stay then this would be a good option. The breakfast was okay but the availability of the kitchenette helps fill in its lacking. The room was nice and clean. There is no housekeeping on the weekend but items are available at the front desk. Staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the smoke detector was right over the bed in my room and blinked a light all night long.

I enjoyed my last minute stay at the Hawthorn Suites. The room I stayed in was very clean, and the hotel staff was very accommodating to my personal needs with their swift service. The free continental breakfast advertised was surprisingly better than expected. They had eggs, bacon, waffles, sausage, etc, which were very tasty. Overall, I had a great experience.

Service is bad. We were lucky to have a man at the reception at once, usually not to find them.
The breakfast was average. You can, but you don't want to. And there's a lot of people, always ending something, not going to do it, but there's something like lunch, usually meat with kartoshokoj, soft drinks.
The rooms are small, relatively clean, but you can get better. There are practically no places to work, if necessary.
Wi-Fi Medium.
If there's a chance, it's better to pick something, if not, you can live here. We had enough for two weeks.

The breakfast was adequate but nothing special the rooms were clean the places where in modern in the overall my day was great. Nothing exceeded my expectations though. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

We had a very nice stay. The rooms were clean & very roomy! It was also quiet.

When we arrived it was late after a comedy show and it was hard to find the place since the sign out front was not lit up. We got to our room and noticed a dingy smell. The pillows were tiny and the recliner in the corner of the room was all scratched up, pretty gross. The standards here are pretty low. My husband noticed he left his toothbrush at home so I called the front desk in there weren't any available. That's a pretty common item not to have any available. When we checked out in the morning the process was fine although the staff was noticeably underdressed in hoodies and sweatpants. We were definitely disappointed with the whole stay and won't be returning or recommending this hotel chain to friends and family.

The hotel is in schaumburg great place it's not to far from Woodfield mall I stayed there in room 131 my room was really clean and my house keeper his name was Kenny he dad a really good job kept it clean while I was there good job Kenny keep up the hard work and give the man a promotion plz he deserves it.

If price is your decision maker, this place is fine. Otherwise, I would avoid. My first room was adjacent to the kitchen, which woke me up at 5 am several days in a row, until they were finally able to move me to another room. I could now sleep in but had to deal with a lingering mildew smell which would not abate even with the window open. I was here over two months and was never able to get management to fix the problem. The whole hall smelled like curry, so there's that. The free breakfast has a lot of options, but the meat and eggs were inedible, rubber-like substances. Dry food options were good.

This place was such a joke, I had to laugh about it on a daily basis on my 5day stay. No real housekeeping… the phone was broken, was told we'd get another one, never happened. There's only 1 remote for 2 TV's which didn't work majority of the time unless you pounded it on a table. The daily breakfast is microwave foods. Soda machine was broken 1/2 the time of our visit. Vending machine didn't work. There is absolutely no counter space in the bathroom, etc. Many little things that I could get into, but wont. What hotel pre-charges for the stay?!? Weird. Spend your money elsewhere unless you don't like houskeeping, love microwaved foods etc.

Were do I begin! Horrible place! no room service the entire weekend, breakfast was Horrible! we had to get our fresh towels off of a cart that was parked in the hallway the entire weekend! the exit steps were filthy! the pictures that you have posted online are a joke! and you charged my credit card for someone else's room!

The good thing about this Candlewood hotel is it's proximity to several offices in the location. Also, they provide shuttle services to these nearby offices. Quite useful service during the winters. The rest of the thing about this hotel are average. You'd want it to be better for the price you pay.

I dont recommend this hotel because the girl (J) working on front desk was not available at all. We needed shampoo and soap but it took haf an hour to find the front desk girl. No one answering the phone and the hotel was dirty. Unfortunately they dont even listen to your comments. No one cares.

So far, I've stayed at AmeriSuites, Holiday Inn, and Hawthorn Suites in Schaumburg. Hawthorn Suites is the best of the three, by far! The accomodations are better, the comp breakfast is better, and the staff is much friendlier. When I originally read all of the other reviews, I neglected to look at WHEN they were written. I think that a lot has changed since even late 2007. It is one of the best placest that I have stayed at for this particular price range.
