Great hotel to stay in outside of Chicago. Like others said, a little outdated but we've found it to be clean and everything working. The pool, while small is nice to have (but the pool water is quite cold), but the hot tub was fine. Breakfast was nothing fancy, they had a waffle station, bagels, English muffins, fruit, donuts, toast, eggs, Turkey sausage, and cereal (only raisin brand cereal though, which was disappointing to the 5 year old). The average drive into Chicago was around 40 minutes, which isn't bad for the price you pay. There is a lot of good things in the area, shopping, food, IKEA, and more.

I only dealt with them on the phone. But they do not care about there customers. We used their website to book a room in August. During the procedure it showed the correct date. But when we checked out, it switch the date to the current weekend coming up. So we called the customer care. We were told "I cannot help you, u cannot cancel or change it. " The rep suggested to call actual hotel front desk. Did that, and they moved the date. But charged us and extra $30 Even though the pricing on the website was $30. Cheaper. Left a voicemail with the manager. 1 week later not call. Back. Called back in and the customer rep basically told me "sorry but ur stuck with it. " This will be the last time I ever book a room with this company.

Hotel was a bit worn, but room was clean, staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent and hours were good. Location was easy to get to off the interstate.

This Hotel has Friendly Staff at the Front desk. Our stay was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I've seen. The price was affordable and I will recommend it to everyone that visits Chicago. I am very pleased with the Hotel and I'm coming back. 2 days here in the Hotel. 5-22-2018 through 5-23-2018.

I love my stay at The AmericInn in Schaumburg I stay couple of hotels in Schaumburg this one is the one of the best one I like the hot tub a lot the 24 hours open Coffee & Tea Bar which is really great and the breakfast is the best and also I like the hospitality over there friendly staff we will definitely stay there again and thanks Helen you are the best.

Probably the worst one in their chain and not up to standards of the other hotels in their system service mediocre and it attracts a rough crowd for the area.

Our stay was great. Clean room, very friendly staff, nice breakfast. Very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. Definitely would stay there again.

I got a bacterial skin infection from the hottub not being up on the chemicals properly/dirty hottub. (hottub folliculitis) I called back down to the hotel to talk to the manager about this, no manager working that day. The receptionist told me he is sorry to hear about that and said the week after my checkout that the filter was replaced. (assuming it went bad) Still no call back. (its been 3 days) I work as a nurse in a hospital. I have told all my co-workers, including dr's I work with. Some of patients as well. This is not great guest service. This was a horrible experience, and horrible that nobody called back. Thanks for the medical bill ill have to deal with.

Yes, it was clean, but customer service was lacking and breakfast was pathetic. I wouldn't stay again unless it were a last resort.

Hotel agreed with the price and offered it in the rate.

This was a fantastic experience. The room was nice and clean. The staff at the reception was heaven sent. Thank you so much for everything you did for us.

Manager is uncooperative. Unprofessional. Won’t let you check in early they want twenty five dollars more. Even the Hyatt let me. Then they gave me a corner room. Hotel smells like it was flooded or roof collapsed. Water damage somewhere. Heard her on the phone with people complaining being charged early check in and late check out fees They weren’t even aware of. Stay away. Lots of better hotels for same price And don’t care if your a bit early. Bad business practices if they want returning customers We sure won’t be.

Our room was a good room for the price. So it's definitely a good value. Free breakfast is nice, but come with patience because sometimes other guests just can't wait to grab something and are reaching around you (grr). We used the pool and it was nice for our kids. It only goes to about 3 feet 6 inches deep, which is fine for kids. But don't expect a huge pool. The staff was friendly and helped us quickly when we had a problem with our key card. My only complaint about the room was the heater was hard to get a good balance of warm/too cool. I suspect the heater is a little on the older side. Overall I'm stay here again. It's clean, friendly staff, decent free breakfast, and very close to Ikea (primary purpose for our visit) and the mall.

We have been here 6 days so far and the front desk Helen always greets us with a beautiful smile. She has been very helpful to all our needs since we been here. She is a keeper. Thank you Helen for all your help.

For the price this is a great place to stay. The room was comfortable. The pool and hot tub as one would hope for. Plenty of places for food and drink walking distance away.

Expected "economy" & got "nice" accommodations! Very clean, nice breakfast, sparkling pool & hot tub. Got much more than I had expected, based on the low rate.

The hospitality was one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel. Everyone was very friendly and loved to interact with our children. The pool was well kept and was fun! The sheets on the bed were changed after our first night so that made me feel good about cleanliness. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because everything was dated and dingy. The carpet and doors looked old and really worn. But if you don't care too much about looks and just want a comfy, clean room, this is it!

Good location; close to public transit and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly. Rooms could be nicer. The hotel was listed as a 3.5 star on the booking site, but was more like a 2 star in reality.

Great value hotel. Clean & convenient with the friendliest and most helpful staff I have come across at any hotel. Nice, clean, although somewhat small pool. Nice maintained hot tub, and very clean common areas. Rooms are basic, but very clean and we'll appointed. Will be using for my future trips to Schaumburg area.

Very nice hotel for the name. It looks better then a lot of them i've been in. The breakfast wasn't all that but the ladies there at nice were wonderful. This the first time at a hotel I didn't complain about the bathroom everything was CLEAN. I think they need more help in the mornings it's a bit hectic.

We planned a multi-stop vacation, and booked our room on a discount site. The accommodations were great! The location is within a short drive to the city, and many attractions are close. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average, but the waffles were great. The pool was the only thing that could have been better — it was freezing cold in June!

Nice hotel. Our room's keys didn't work at check-in. After trying 2 sets, they moved us to a different room. But room was missing 3 light bulbs, and they could only find us 2. It was missing a "do not disturb" sign. When we asked for a couple extra pillows and blankets, they gave us the blankets, but said that they were out of pillows. (Try the room with the non-functional locks? ). Evening desk help seems to disappear for long stretches. But rooms are nice, clean, and modern. Very good breakfast. Small pool.

Staff was extremely friendly during check in and check out. Room was adequate; however, it did not match description of my booking reservation. We were excited about the indoor pool, but it is very small and shallow. Better for families, not so much for adults. The Hot Tub was great though. I also appreciated the fact that they had coffee, Tea, and water available 24/7 in the lobby. Overall it was a satisfactory visit.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and pool was heated. Only downside is no fridge in room like most hotels.

They screwed up my reservation and booked me the day before I arrived then refused to give me a refund.

Nice very nice but it smelled really strong in the pool area to much chlorine.

Room wasn't anything special but it seemed fine for the price. Bed was reasonably comfortable, better than most hotel beds. Complimentary breakfast wasn't bad either. Happy with my stay and would stay again.

Stay was OK. Breakfast wasn't very good and the bed wasn't very comfortable but the stay was OK otherwise.

Stayed here while attending training in Schaumburg. Room was extremely clean and all the employees were very nice! They do provide complimentary Wi-Fi while here and they also provide breakfast! It is mostly stuff that can be heated up and not really cooked. But overall it was a pleasant stay for 2 weeks!

Location is great for mall access… Rooms where clean. Pool was nice hot tub was lovely… Breakfast was good but not the best. Overall great great hotel esp got the price.

AmericInn is an affordable and comfortable hotel. The new pool and jacuzzi are a nice addition to the hotel.

The conference room was clean.

Wonderful employees and nice clean place.

THE worst experience of my life, was a nightmare
The first day, when we arrived at the hotel, they gave us a room that was already occupied by someone else. We got to the room, and it was full of things about other people.
What kind of security for guests is that?
Then they gave us another room, but this second room smelled really badly. We could not sleep because it stank.
The carpet was old and smelled like old cigarettes, in fact the entire floor smelled of tobacco, and is supposed to be a room for non-smokers.
The next morning, changed us the room again, but then we were disappointed once again.
The breakfast was horrible! And not only that, but that the woman in charge of preparing breakfast or even responded when we said you good morning, super rude.
By the way, the bathroom in the lobby, where it was assumed that Lady preparing breakfast washed his hands, did not have any SOAP! That was disgusting!
I had never seen in my life so horrible staff, they were completely rude, especially the shift manager, called Wen, breakfast was very rude with my mother, when my mother asked kindly by more orange juice, the woman answered in a rude manner, that breakfast finished at 9 in the morning and that they were already 9:03 am. She was extremely rude and turned.

The ice machines were down on all floors but the 1st the room was tiny and so were my 2 beds. Not a reasonble place for 2 people to get a restful night sleep in the same bed otherwise it was a predictable experience for a Hampton Inn.

Have stayed several times and would go back. Positives: 1. Wifi worked well 2. The breakfast/coffee is pretty good (better than Homewood Suite) considering it is free 3. Running distance from large wooded area 4. Staff is excellent Negative: no weight machines in exercise room.
