Had a great stay, hotel is very nice. The kids enjoyed the pool after a hot day.

So very accommodating. They have went above & beyond to help me with my needs.

We were greeted with a very friendly staff! The room was very clean and bed was very comfy. I highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay, we had one of the junior suites for my husband and I and our two kids and it was simply perfect! Everything about this place was great; the service, the cleanliness, the location, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! An added bonus is the Weber grill restaurant that is attached, great bartenders and cold beer!

The usual Hilton Garden experience right in the centre of downtown. The connected Weber Grill serve a good breakfast and offer pretty good diner style food. Lots of other dining choices nearby.

This hotel is kind of old hotel which has a long history. The facilities are clean and the workers here are nice and friendly, however the price is higher than other hotels which has the same quality. The location is pretty good, red line subway is just near the building. But the parking fee is unbelievable high, and that expense is not included in the hotel fee, and they don't even give you a discount. I parked 2days and charge me almost $100. If you have a car or want to save more money, do not choose this place. I mean the place is good, but it's not worth that much money.

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown. Next door to the Red Line subway, which is awesome! Clean rooms and love the fact they have fans in the bathrooms in the room (most don't). Can't complain about this place, it's really good.

Parking is highway robbery! We paid $98 to store the car for 2 days. And that is just for storing the car — no privileges of driving out and back in. And then we got hit with an EXTRA $9 for taking more than 10 minutes to load the car and drive out. When we complained, they threatened to charge an ADDITIONAL $9 for talking to them and taking even more time. Hotel wise — friendly employees, clean rooms, nice toiletries, towels, comfortable beds. Room was a little cramped — had to scoot around beds to walk around. Continental breakfast costs almost $20 per person so we didn't eat there. Location is very convenient. Lots of bus and train options, lots of restaurants too, but they close early.

A great prime location for this Hilton Garden Inn. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. Starbucks is right down the street. Or you can get a good cup of coffee in the lobby. The Weber Grill restaurant is attached next door and is very accommodating. Weber Grill is open late, so pop in for a night cap and appetizer. Staff is very friendly. Room was a great size with wet bar.

Nice hotel. Wasn’t impressed with the pool, however. I love how it’s location has so many options around it. Decently priced.

Everything is pretty good, basically what you'd expect with hilton garden inn, not bad overall. Great location at solid price.

Currently staying here. Room temperature is at 77 degrees despite turning the AC to 65 degrees and waiting an appropriate amount of time. Took photos as proof. Front desk try to tell me somebody came and checked it out today but I had my do not disturb sign on all day and haven't informed them yet. I don't appreciate being flat-out lied to. Will not stay here again and will not recommend to my company to stay here again. I would give no stars if I could but I'm stuck here for a few more nights apparently.

So my experience at the Hilton garden inn hotel on East grand ave the date of 3/24/2018 and the check out time was 3/26/2018 when I Kierra Johnson was at the Check out desk with my husband Claude Johnson when we receive the news That since we paid cash instead of using a credit card that we will not have to wait 7 to 10 business days to receive our hundred dollar room deposit back. So we were expecting since we paid cash to receive $100 room deposit back at the checkout time. But instead the front Office manager Samantha A. Rice told us that she have to examine the room before we can receive the room deposit back. And when that was finished she, Samantha A. Rice consistently kept asking the housekeeper do you smell smoke repeatedly while everyone was there to watch which made me and my husband Feel Like are stay at the hotel was unwanted. We made us both feel Like Samantha A. Rice was being racist!. So after she checked are ATM withdraw receipt and the 2 night hotel issued receipt she still refused to understand the matter at hand. So I have receipts and pictures of dates and times, So I will be getting in touch with a corporate.

Google shows as a 3 star hotel and that's what it is. Rooms were standard. The white conformer looked a little worn. Cheap rate for the location. The "L" is right by the door when you walk out. Short walk to Michigan ave. The hot tub was cooler than my bath water which was okay for me since I'm pregnant. I think anyone else would complain. The part that really got me was how dirty the hot tub was around the edge. I would not sit back. The white tile was covered in dirt that looks to have collected for a very long time.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. It's location was perfect for shopping as well as Transportation which was a short walk to the Metra. In terms of the room I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and desk space to be sufficient. A few more accoutrements would of course be nice but it is a lass a Garden Inn. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided an umbrella upon request for a rainy day. The lack of was unfortunate, but compensated for by the association with the Weber grill for all meals as well as the prime location making breakfast easy especially with the Starbucks across the street.

No Starbucks inside the hotel. No coffee in the hotel until 6:30 am. Was told I could walk across the street. Not a great option when it is dumping rain, 40 degrees and you have to go back up to the room to get geared up (umbrella, jacket, etc…). Convenient location but severely inconvenient services. Will stay somewhere else in the future. The Starbucks isn't important to me as I personally can't stand Starbucks but to not have any coffee options in your hotel, in Chicago, in unacceptable. This isn't Best Western in Paducah Kentucky, who I'm told has great coffee, btw. Using having 2 Starbucks (across the street and in Embassy suites) as justification for not having your own coffee is idiotic. There are also restrooms across the street do you want to take your lobby restrooms out. This experience ruined an otherwise positive one.

My room was fantastic with a good view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel has a red line stop right by it, and is perfectly situated near the loop for easy transport.

Right above the red line stop. Two Starbucks within 100 yards. The service is is excellent. Reggie, the bellhop is quite the character. The rooms are newly refurbished and quiet, which is is a little uncommon in downtown hotels. I recommend getting breakfast at the Weber Grill on the first floor.

I spent 6 nights in this hotel in November 2017. One of the main things that favored this hotel is the location; there is a metro station (Grand) at the corner, and it is just 3 blocks away from the Michigan Avenue. It is great. The room was very well equipped, with even a microwave and fridge. I am very satisfied. There's a market just across the street and in the other corner you have a PF Chang's restaurant. The restaurant that's part of the hotel, the Weber Grill is also very good, but you have to book a table, even if you are a guest. The pool is awsome. The hotel has also a parking lot.

The rooms are decently appointed but not luxurious by any means. Staff was friendly and helpful. Roons and hotel were clean. We found the lack of room service for breakfast to be quite disappointing, as this was a vacation for us. We prefer to lounge around, unprepared to be seen by other humans in the morning. This is the first Downtown hotel we have stayed in that does not offer breakfast room service. The brochure in the room indicates there is, but there is not. On the morning of our last day, I had barely warm water for my shower. My husband had the same for his shower, until about half way through, when the hot kicked in and nearly scalded him. The line was so long when we went to check out, we just dropped the keys and did not get the chance to speak to anyone. There are better hotels in the area for the same price.

What an amazing hotel to stay everybody is so nice and make you feel at home starting with Alma at the from desk so attentive, then breakfast at the restaurant make sure Igor take care of you he a great example of amazing customer service he is the best always Super attentive and if you very lucky to stay at the floor where Denise is the Housekeeping attendant you will meet that sweet beautiful lady super nice and willing to help I will say my favorite hotel to stay at downtown Chicago.

A nice hotel and very well located

The view from the City view room is not that special. I was expecting more. However, the location is very convenient. The staff was very friendly. For cleanliness I’d give it a 3/5 needs a little bit more work. Their parking is $48 but there’s a self park in the same address for $25 for one day. They also put a hold in your card for $50 in case you request any service or drink. The pool was really small. The room price was affordable at least.

"City view" room was not as nice as regular room view at Embassy Suutes Magnificent Mile a few blocks away. Very small window too. Staff was extremely friendly but was not informed they charge a $48/night rate to park in garage even for guests. Same for Embassy Suites at $47/day. Within walking distance of many nice restaurants though.

Good room. Great view. Front desk staff was very friendly. We'd definitely stay here again. 22nd floor city-view room gave us a view of the Hancock Building. Bed was sleigh style, so if you're not accustomed to it, you *will* bang your knee on it like I did if you're not paying attention. The bed is on the softer size. Somewhere between firm and feeling like you're a hotdog in a bun. Good sleeper for most folks who generally don't need a stiff ride. My wife would sleep on a mortician's slab if she could, so her opinion differs from mine. But, I'm writing this review, so too bad for her. Blackout curtains do their job relatively well, only allowing a sliver of light at the bottom. The skirt hanger trick won't help you here. The bathroom is good sized for a hotel bathroom. You won't spend hours there, so it's fine. No couture decoration in there. It's all business. Appointment of the room is good. Some mismatching of metal between brass and brushed nickel handles. My wife actually pointed that one out as I couldn't possibly care less. The restaurant attached to the hotel is a Weber Grill. They provide the breakfast buffet (extra $) and made to order omelets. They also have a weekday Happy Hour where they knock a couple bucks off appetizers and serve cheaper booze. The buffet is nothing to write home about, but if you're a Hilton Honors member with My Way benefits, it's worth passing on the extra points if you're hungry.

Great experience. Staff was easy to check in with. Room was clean. Rooms are modern and up to date. Only knocked off a star because other guests were incredibly loud. We were not trying to be curmudgeons but it was constant and very loud.

The hotel is updated and clean. Our room was a suite and it was very spacious and had a mini fridge (no freezer), coffee maker, and plenty of counter space. The living area was very nice, too, with a couch and chair and a couple of benches. We had a great experience except for the fact that, despite us making a conscious effort to keep it down during later hours, we got several noise complaints, including one while we we're sleeping at 6am!?! I felt as if we were targeted because they knew we were with a group. One time they threatened us with a $2000 fine, which I felt was unprofessional especially since several of the noise complaints may have actually been caused by another room but blamed on us. I'm guessing the walls here are just paper thin. Despite these complaints we liked the hotel based on the room itself and its proximity to downtown locations.

Prime location in the middle of downtown Chicago: a 5 minute walk to the Magnificent Mile, 20 minute walk to the Bean, and there's an L station right down the block. Room was clean, and had good amenities (mini-fridge, microwave, safe, USB charging ports on the lamp, in-room Wi-Fi). The shower heated up quickly, which helped to thaw my frozen toes after doing all kinds of touristy things in November in Chicago. The wall unit heater worked quite well, heating up the room quickly. Front desk staff was super helpful with food recommendations and directions, and responded quickly when I needed extra blankets in the room (I wasn't quite prepared for the Chicago cold! ). Overall, I'd happily stay here again if I'm ever back in the Chicago area.

Perfect location to be in the middle of Downtown. Great service by guest services and reception AND maintenance. Alma, Adrian and Max were great.

The room was nice and we had a good view. Everything was within walking distance. When we booked the room through southwest it said the room included breakfast. Once we got here we were told it was not included. The hot tub on the 12th floor also did not work.

Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay at this hotel. The location is good, downtown, just a street off the Magnificent Mile. The room was clean and with a modern decor. The kids enjoyed the pool. I knocked off and star for the staff at the reception when we arrived; very rude and not welcoming. Oh, our room was equipped with a fridge and microwave, which was convenient for keeping a few snacks.

I've been to Chicago one time before but this is easily a better spot than the last trip. Restaurants, bars, convenience and courtesy. Didn't have to spend a lot because we used hilton points but convenience and location are fantastic. Would stay again and again.

We were welcomed by a kind front desk clerk when we arrived who was helpful in explaining all the hotel's amenities. Our room was a standard room with two double beds. The room had a fridge and microwave along with a single serve coffee maker. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was great — very walkable. We enjoyed our stay. I was especially impressed with the cleaning staff, who always greeted us with smiles and "have a great day today! " as we passed them in the halls. Will stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay, we were there for 2 nights. The valet was friendly and professional, the gentleman who helped us with our bags was friendly and hard working, and everyone else was friendly. Rooms were nice and very clean and Bed was really comfy. Even the cleaning lady left us a nice note. We would return here in a heart beat.

I wish I could have rated this hotel higher. The rooms are a nice size and rooms have been renovated recently, it looks nice. The toilet in my room barely flushes, I noticed thete is a strip of toilet paper behind the mirror above the desk and I was awoken last night by a bedbug on my arm. Upon further inspection of my room (at 3 am) I can see it has been a very long time since the floor behind my bed has been cleaned. I guess ecolab is supposed to come out today to verify that this ved bug is a bed bug… what worries me the most is the thought of taking them home with me.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Clean and quiet rooms, and they had a no party policy which gives you peace of mind in a busy downtown hotel. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was great!

Booked through Groupon for one night with 2 queen beds, got to the location and they said they only had a king bed and one rollaway. No refund since I booked through a third party, no other options available. Not cool. Also, said they would bring the rollaway bed up right away, we left and stopped at the desk and made sure they would still bring it up if we were gone. Were assured they would, arrived back at 3 am and, alas, no bed. Again, not cool. Wouldn't recommend.

The staff was so friendly and helpful! Hotel room was very nice! A special Thank You to Reggie who assisted us with our bags, a cab, and just great conversation. The vallet attendant was also exceptional! We will diffently stay there again!

Great hotel, great location, very friendly and helpful staff especially Alma and Adrean, super clean, new building, great fitness center with pool and hot tub. Awesome city views on the 19th floor. We stayed in room 1937 with amazing view of the city. Trader Joes nearby and other great restaurants and shopping. My only wish is that they offer some type of complimentary breakfast in the lobby besides the coffee which quickly ran out.

Conveniently located within walking distance to everything. Plus they gave us a a corner room that we never requested with two windows and an incredible view. I will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay. Windows are a little thin but that is expected. I like the sounds of the city. Clean room helpful staff. In a great location for anything you want to do. Very happy with the choice.

Location is phenomenal. Red line is right outside and buses right outside. Valet parking has in/out privileges. Pool/whirlpool is a bit small, but okay for a quick dip.

The good: Great location, great view of the city… The bad: The parking garage was so tight my wife curbed my 22''s going in. ($45 to park) Our check in time was 3pm, our room wasn't ready until 4pm. The guy at the front desk just looked at us until we approached him, after he took our info he disappeared. The room was small, the pillows sucked, the bathroom was small (with no fan) the pool was small, the hot tub only fits five, (small) the heater/ac in our room was pre-set so we couldn't control the room temp. 18% plus $3 if you have food from Weber grill delivered to your room. Weber Grill food was bland (farm burger). I would not recommend this hotel, we will NEVER return here. Horrible birthday weekend experience.

Awful Hotel for the price. Nothing was offered complementary except free water in the morning and a newspaper. Otherwise a small water cost $3.00. Wifi was very hard to get connected to and you had to keep signing in. Refrigerator was never cold. Hot tub was luke warm at best. Bed was surrounded by a hard wood frame from the Seventies era. We spent three days there and the ATM machine was out of order the entire time.

The location was perfect. We purchased the park and chill package, which included valet parking. The hotel is within walking distance of Magnificent mile and Navy Pier. Room was clean and had an excellent view.

Awesome hotel. I love it. Beds are clean, bathrooms are clean, the staff is very friendly, I stayed up there when I auditioned for the Voice In Chicago from February 6th to February 7th. Plus the waiter that served me breakfast was very attractive LOL and was also friendly… just a thought. But other than that, I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The best part was the indoor pool and Jacuzzi… me and my brother felt like we were in heaven. I definitely plan on going back one day.

This hotel is very nice with a very helpful staff. It is in a great location of the city, with lots of goodies within walking distance.

Super easy to access with public transportation as hotel is located a few feet from the "L" Grand station and bus stop. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent restaurant adjoins the lobby — Starbuck's in lobby. King-size bed was a bit large for the room size but not a distractor from an overall nice, comfortable stay.

It was the best hotel I've been at in years. I served 10 years in the Marine Corp and have had the pleasure of staying at hotels in Japan, Hawaii, North Carolina, South Carolina, San Diego and I must say this was the best. The staff were amazing and the food at Weber Grill was to die for. They even held my bags for me while I grabbed a bite to eat before leaving. I will most definitely be staying again. HOORAH to Garden Inn.

It is a wonderful place I will never forget.
