The staff here sucks. And my sink should not have plumbing problems especially in a presidential suite. Never again.

Brodi was amazing! From the moment I walked in, he made me feel totally at ease. I was greeted with a bright smile and and warm welcome, and he made the check-in process a breeze! During our stay, he was very friendly and incredibly helpful… not a hint of annoyance or complaint when we needed help figuring out the heating/air in our room. He is a true gem, and I will highly recommend your hotel to friends and family traveling through the area because of him.

Thus is a nice, comfortable, good quality hotel with better than average amenities. The service and furnishings are better than many hotels in this class. The food is average. It is nice and quiet. I would stay here again.

Hotel and staff were awesome! Everyone was sweet, kind, and extremely helpful. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. The pool and hot tub was relaxing, and breakfast was good with a nice selection that changed each day. The price for our room was very reasonable. Housekeeping always did a wonderful job keeping the hotel clean and smelling nice. The only thing was they need more wastebaskets in the room. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay. :)

Disclaimer — I am a corporate employee. This location is clean and in a great location. Easy to find and access local highways. Friendly staff too. They have a pool and hot tub and a gym with several meeting rooms.

Have visited there a lot as relatives live in the area. Nice spacious rooms. But the housekeeping staff is there everyday about 20-30 minutes before we want to leave for the day asking if they can clean the room. Breakfast service is very good. Because of Wingate's stock and rules they have a lot to overcome. Nice place and we don't hesitate in coming back.

The location is near a shopping center with many restaurants. The front desk was welcoming given I checked in at 11pm. They are pet friendly and nice for being so. The rooms are quiet but the water pressure is lacking. A great breakfast selection and fresh.

Used to stay at the Ihotel but decided to give Wingate a try since it was cheaper and the reviews looked nice. We initially enjoyed Wingate. The staff at the front is polite and never had any major issues. We are frequent and usually stay here about once every two weeks or so. We also enjoyed the fact that check out is at noon. Well our most recent stay, the cleaning crew knocked on the door at 10am even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We simply said no thank you and they went away. No problem. They then came back at around 11am and knocked again and again we said no thank you. It wasn't until the third knock at 11:45am when it became a problem. We were packing up our belongings to leave and we said no thank you to the cleaning woman. She rolled her eyes and had a clear attitude as she walked away. Five minutes later at 1150am, we hear a woman say "It's okay, I'll take care of it. " And once again someone knocked on our door. I am guessing she must have been head of the cleaning. I proceeded to open the door and she said in a rude tone, "I just want you to know your check out time is at 12. " I responded, "Yes. I know. It's only 1150am. We are actually about to head out in the next five minutes. " And then I proceeded to close the door. This was the last straw and we had never had this problem before. We took the things out to the car and then I proceeded to talk to the front desk as the woman with the attitude stood right there and glared.

Clean quiet rooms. Polite and accommodating staff. Continental breakfast. Well-lit secure parking lot. Lots of restaurant / food choices close by.

The front desk staff was very friendly upon arrival. It was easy and quick. Our room was a king size bed. The room was very special and clean. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. It was very conveniently located off the interstate and easy to find. Great choice for it race weekend!

Plus — bed comfort, breakfast continental, girl worked hard to keep staffed Negative — green water pool, chlorine smell in lobby & pool area overuse of chemical. Did not clear snow, handicapped, granddaughter fell going to car. Apparently they wait for it to melt on own. Asked for different room, in amongst group of teens in for wrestling & track match. Banging all night long. Indifferent front staff. Had to go to different Whyndam property ca cancel rest reservation & moved.

We stayed 2 nights and found our room was spotless! Housekeeping was VERY friendly and if we needed anything. The front desk people were very accommodating to our questions and needs. Hot breakfast was simple and not a lot to choose from but we loved it as will most people. Don't go in expecting Bob Evans, you're paying less than $100/night so expect a low end breakfast. Overall was VERY very nice and of we stay again we will be using this hotel and on the road will do the same.

Very clean, beautiful room. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was not good. The bacon was translucent, and the omlette tasted like a sponge and was inedible. The coffee was hot and I appreciate the hazelnut creamer. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Room! Excellent staff! Excellent service! The Bed Was Too hard for me because of back problems and I didn't get much sleep and was in a lot of pain. But That Can't Be Helped I Don't Guess. Other Than That I Would Recommend Staying Here If You Don't Have Back Issues!

Very nice Hotel, I would stay again. Wish the hot breakfast was served earlier. Had to leave early, but did have a bagel. Also cut my foot in the hot tub, reported to front desk. They had recently closed the hot tub do to people getting cut, but reopened it with no repairs being done to it. So beware of the hot tub! >>>>>UPDATE!

Hotel was nice, clean, and conveniently located. Room was large — — more space than we needed — — and very reasonably priced. Bed was okay… didn't provide a ton of support but also didn't have that sink-into-it-soft feeling. Pillows were a little small, but comfortable. Overall, a very good experience and excellent for the price.

The hotel is a little bit older, and as far as things like lights, the TV, plumbing, etc. Everything was in working order. However, the first room I was booked in had blood on the bedsheets. I was not thrilled about that, and asked for a change of sheets. The gentleman at the front desk said it was much better if I simply move to another room. The move was painless and the person at the front desk was courteous. Everything in the second room seemed better, except for the desk chair, which was weirdly dirty. Overall, my experience was average for a cheap hotel. You get what you pay for.

The service was amazing and the rooms were as expected. We visited while the hotel was having issues with their spa, workout room, and hot water heaters. We didn't stay long enough to have utilized these features, and we were told about it before our stay, so all in all this was not a problem for me.

My friend's family was staying at the hotel, and we were chatting until 11pm over free coffee and tea after dinner. They had no complaints for us, and when we asked for more coffee, they were prompt without complaints. That's good service! :)

Many hotels next to each other, but chose Wingate because of pool/hot tub and fitness. At check in was told hot tub and fitness center not working. Pool is not big but kids had a blast. Carpet in rooms need to be updated, but room was very clean and bed sheets, not sure if they were changed. I don't know if they ironed sheets these days it just looked like someone might have slept a night on them and maid just made bed. So before booking if you need certain amenities call to check if they are working, otherwise next door hotel could be cheaper option. Not sure if I choose another Wyndham hotel in future.

I picked this motel for the indoor pool. We came to have Christmas with our grandchildren. The pool stays open till 10. At 8 we were told if we didn't be quiet they would close the pool. Kids will be kids, and that's ridiculous. Won't be staying here again.
Update, at 7am this morning the maintenance man came barging in our room without knocking or anything! This place is the most poorly run motel I've ever seen!

Really nice room, very friendly, super staff. Only shortfall I had was that the Jacuzzi closed at midnight. Bring a professional driver it would have been nice to "soak the bones" before going to bed.

Always clean. Always friendly. Always reasonably priced. If I'm making my own reservations, this is where I always stay.

Very quick stay on cross country drive, but rooms were spacious. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good with eggs and bacon and staff was excellent.

Booked a two queen room weeks in advance. They gave us a one king corner suite. Couldn't switch because they were booked out. Shower door looked like it used to be two sliding doors, but one of them was put on pegs to make a makeshift hinged door. Otherwise, nice room, just not what we booked.

We stayed here during move in week, which happened to be around the 2017 solar eclipse as well. Understandably, the hotel was super busy, but they manages to make time to serve our needs despite that. The food was great, the sheets and room were clean, the staff were very friendly, and it was a great experience. We didn't use the pool, but we did see other guests enjoying it. It's location is also great for visiting u of i. 5 star experience for a nice price.

This place is a dump. Skip it! Sleep outside! The pool smelled like the white trash that was puking on the side of it.

Nice place. The presidential suite was really spacious and well laid out. The pool was a little small and could use more frequent maintenance and a little less chlorine (it was at the burn-your-eyes level). We had to skim it ourselves before we used it.

The stay at Wingate by Wyndham in Champiagn was horrible. I paid for two night stay Saturday and Sunday for my mother and son. I paid for two queen beds when I get to the room she gave me one king bed. I had to go back to the reception area, she told me she was sorry about the mix up. At 630am Sunday morning I woke up to a roach crawling on the wall. I call the front desk, she told me I had to move so they can treat that room. She told me she would call me when the other ro…om was ready. I was fine with that because I had to run around with my daughters I was visiting. At 400 pm I went back to the hotel to see if they had a room for me. The lady said there wasn't any rooms available at this time and she will call me when it was ready. Getting tired of running around I came back to the hotel and spoke to a gentleman name Robert, he knew about my problem explained they were behind with housekeeping however he will upgrade me to the president suite because I been on the run around. I was ok with that although I'm tired because now the day is gone and my son wasn't able to enjoy the swim pool. I had to move my stuff out of one room to the suite. Walk in the suite, that was dirty as well. No one cleaned the room. Back down to the front desk to ask for a refund. Robert told me only the manager can give me a refund and they were not there today However another manger. Named Angela will be in later that evening. I called back after9pm because Robert never called me either.

Very nice rooms, clean and and in good working order. Pool, gym, and hot tub are convenient and very nice when visiting the University. Free breakfast and great location.

I only stayed for one night but the place seemed nice and well-maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Also, I have a bad back and got to my room late, but was glad to find they were not sticklers about the 10pm closing time for the whirlpool (I was there until about 10:15 and was not the last one to leave), which I appreciated.

The beds were very comfortable, very clean and nice rooms, lots of amenities for the price, and a great breakfast. All very awesome for a fairly low price.

The room looked great, but there were a few hiccups. First, the fan in the bathroom didn't work and second, the hot tub was broken. Minor stuff but it added up. 3 out of 5 stars.

Stayed at Windgate in Champaign on a business trip. It was a nice hotel and a great value. They are repainting the walls until March 2016, so be wary of that. It isn't a strong smell and didn't bother me, but some people might be affected. I stayed in a King room. The bed was comfortable with medium firmness. Lots of TV channels, but mostly sports. Shower was clean and it had plenty of towels. Counter tops were granite, which is a nice touch. Layout of the building is a little weird, there are no side doors, so you have to go in and out the front door every time. Service was nice. Location is near several restaurants. For the price I payed, it far exceeded my expectations.

The room was clean and comfortable. Great price for the quality. Really enjoyed the free parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast.

Beware if you pay for your room in advance they will charge you a 60 dollar convenience fee for what I dont know and they take days to remove the charge from your credit card. We were not told this until check in and the manager was rude and condescending. The room was nice the pool was nice the "policies" are not. We stay quite often in the Champaign area, and no other hotel does this to us. We will not be staying at the Wyndham thats for sure.

Nice hotel, clean and modern. Staff is frendly and professional. Nicely priced with breakfast bar. Rooms have microwave and mini fridge. Would stay here again. Internet Wi-Fi worked fine no problems with smart phone.

The breakfast was nice only because it accommodates the same luxuries as other hotels at this price. The internet is MISERABLE. It is so bad that I had to go the manager on duty and he even admitted that this hotel's bandwidth is very low. So if the hotel is even at half capacity you will suffer in performance. There is a flatscreen in the room however, the cable channels are very poor and none are in HD. I've been here 2 days and have not had new towels or bath soaps or anything. The only positive I can say about this place is the breakfast which even in that, you have to make your own waffels. Save $30 a night and go to a super 8 which will probably offer more internet access than the Wingate does.

The hotel is fairly new. So it has good furniture The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is good. The staff are very friendly. My only gripe is the workout room. It looks like it needs a good cleaning. There is only one treadmill and it's dingy dirty looking. Cleaning the existing treadmill and adding a second would help the waiting time. If you don't work out like I do then everything is great.

Fantastic and clean hotel for a very reasonable rate. Stay here when I'm traveling on business. Would recommend.

Champaign is the central point between Des Moines and family in Kentucky. The Wingate is a nice place to rendezvous.
