3rd shift staff was amazing! The room was nice and clean the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Nothing much stood out. Went to visit a friend for a bit. Was a quiet night.

I requested a room on the first floor and was told there was one. The clerk realized they didn't have a first floor room after they had checked me in. They ended up changing the room to one on the second floor. Apparently the original room was on the third floor. The room was very nice and extremely comfortable. The breakfast they offer in the morning is limited to cereal, waffles, fruit (oranges), toast, and danishes. I got the last yogurt. Location was convenient to Carbondale. It is about 10 miles from US 57.

When we first walked in the supervisor K something was extremely rude and gave us a hard time while we asked questions regarding check in. The whole experience was terrible because of her rough customer service. Our shower curtain had mold at the bottom and it was absolutely disgusting. There were strange people hanging out at the lobby and by the door to the building for our entire trip. The room was basic and acceptable but the fridge was the size of a file cabinet drawer and didn’t even fit 3 bottles of water. We didn’t even have a fresh roll of toilet paper when we arrived. If you’re desperate this is an option but if you can find somewhere else to go save yourself the hassle!

When I arrived late during the night I almost didn't get out the car. There were strange people hanging outside of the hotel. There were people roaming the halls. I will NEVER EVER come back to this place.

Great service minus my room had a strong pet odor that they tried to cover up with air freshener.

We had to request washcloths, coffee pods, and a "Do Not Disturb" sign. Toilet would not accept even *toilet paper* without being plunged, so we just kept the hotel plunger all weekend and used it with each flush. Wi-Fi sporadic and weak. Pretty sure we'll try somewhere else next time.

It's a shame that the room was not clean. Good price, friendly staff, and updated rooms. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I stayed there a couple times when relocating to the area. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and they welcomed pets. The neighborhood is not exactly in the safest part of town, but it was fine.

Super ain't I disappointed more like it what terrible staff or day manager. Hope upper management looks at this review addition. So we decided to stay another night only problem we were facing was that we had paid cash and had to put down a fifty dollar deposit and had not secured funds for another night so I told the manager to leave my deposit and that we would do a little walking around town I would stop by my bank do little shopping etc and be back to pick up deposit or pay for another night. We returned not able to pay. The manager said I could not have our deposit, that we were gone too long and housekeeping had gone blah blah blah tuff luck. Before I got steamed I asked if we able to pay would I need another fifty? No she said whew least some good news so I called some relatives that we're able to help us pay woke up was given our deposit and ran for the door. Better options in town avoid the hassle of staying here if all possible.

Good experience… Higher prices than other local hotels but nice rooms & staff isn't foreign which most locals like better. Very convenient location.

Place was fine. But the business is apparently shady. Paid with pay pal but they needed a credit card on file just in case, which is normal. They charged my credit card 70 as well as my pay pal. So I paid for two days. A month passed until I noticed on my cc statement. I called them two weeks ago. They quickly said they saw the error and would have it reimbursed. I still have not been credited my money back.

Easy check in. Gave my security deposit back nice carpet. Small refrigerator microwave. Big Soft bed. Nice clean soft carpet working Cable TV. Shower. Working AC/ You can set yourself. Secure Windows and doors hot waffle breakfast.

The rooms are good. But, Wi-Fi is very bad. Low water pressure.

Clean, comfortable rooms adjacent to a large shopping center and the local mall, within easy driving distance of the SIU-Carbondale campus. Decent free breakfast in the lobby area. Rates go up for weekends of campus events (such as move-in day and commencement), if you can even get a room for those dates. (If you have a graduating senior or grad student, Christmas Day would be a good time to book a room for Commencement Weekend; we waited until January to book a room for law school graduation (on a Friday), and could only stay here Thursday night; we ended up on Friday an hour's drive north at a motel in Mt. Vernon (on our way home, at least). )

Never go here they well one person was rude to me and I think it’s the manger she is so rude I don’t even think I should give it one star at least but all of the other workers are fine.

There was mold on the shower curtain, partially caused by a lack of proper cleaning, and partially curtain positioning. The worker, a woman named Casey, was rude and more focused on smoking than helping customers. She looked annoyed that we were checking in and spoke so fast we could barely understand her, then practically ran outside to smoke. The refrigerator in the room was so small, we could not even fit our leftovers in it.

Room smelled kinda weird. Sheets were scratchy. Free breakfast was adequate but sparse. Location was convenient and AC worked fine.

They put me in a good room where everything was clean and worked properly; This might have been because I reserved through the hotel directly. Anyway, The staff was friendly and the breakfast in the morning was decent. Would stay again.

I really enjoyed staying here! Every one of the staff we met was super! Great waffles and much needed caffeine in the morning. Pet deposit is 10 bucks, and you can't beat that!

Check in lady was really nice, and this is one of the better rates we saw and wanted to save money for our conference. The room could have been more clean, but wasn't horrible, just some dust and a few hairs on sink (kinda gross to look at but not a big deal). Bed is comfortable, and fridge and Wi-Fi were a big plus.

Nice clean rooms, wonderful workers, nice breakfast, and near restaurants and shopping.

It wasn't the best place to stay, but the staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and it was priced great. The breakfast was typical consisting of waffles and cereal. The room also had an odd, though not really bad, odor. Since it was reasonably priced and clean, I will definitely consider it the next time I need a room in Carbondale.

Got a basement room, but that's okay, it's a regular motel. Under the stairs unfortunately. Can hear everyone walking. Also the soap sucks, but again it's a motel. All in all there's nothing particularly bad or good about this place. Make your decision based on its rate and location, because you aren't looking for anything special.

It was surprisingly nice.

Overall my stay was good. My only complaint is that there was (for lack of a better term) an elderly shower chair still in my shower. I sincerely hope that everything was clean.

Rooms are great and the price was great!

The Wi-Fi is horible it ruined the night stay we didn't have any channels but we bring our PlayStation but was no point because the Internet was horible don't bring gamesystems or laptops there's no point.

I stayed here last minute after running away from another dirty hotel. This place was very clean, comfortable and helpful in trying to get me a refund. Don't use Priceline they refuse to refund me from the Hotel I left Which was America Best value Inn.

The room I has looked clean. The next morning I had bug bites up my arms, left side, chest and places on my legs and feet. Never shine will I stay at there.

Arrived and check in quick and easy. While I couldnt request a non smoking room (all taken) the one I received worked out fine. Towels and amenities maintained, water pressure hot and solid stream. Morning breakfast offers a basic selection: coffee, 2 fruit juice choice with a selection of bagles or toast, 3 cereals, and fruit-no eggs or meat. The only draw back is there is NO elevator to carry any luggage or for those in wheelchairs. For the amenities, the price is fair.

After reading reviews online, I gave the Super 8 a shot, but was sorely disappointed. The rate I received when booking online was not the rate I was charged when I arrived. The receptionist was unhelpful and uninterested, and said she couldn't do anything since the manager is only there during the week. The room was dingy and the bathtub had hair in it. We cut our stay short and moved to the Drury up the road. And the "high speed internet" is only slightly slower than my parent's dial-up. If this is supposed to be a top-end Super 8, I won't ever stay at one again.
