Average hotel experience. The room was pretty outdated and not worth the 250 spent for one night. Our patio sliding door had a missing glass panel with shards of glass sticking out from the edges and on the carpet. Our ceiling started leaking out of no where the next morning. The alarm clock wasn't properly set or functional. However, the location is ideal if you're looking to visit Seacrets right next door. Pretty bay view. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

In love with the Princess! Seriously, you cannot get more bang for your buck. So close to everything AND the ocean! From the Front Desk/Management down, Princess of the Bayside turned a 'vacation' into an amazing vacation to always remember Ocean City, Maryland by. Thank you!

We have been staying here at the Princess Bayside Beach Hotel now for about 12 years and in the last 5 years it has really been going downhill as far as quality of the hotel as a whole. It has become very run down. No updates have been done that we have noticed in the last decade. We have always enjoyed coming to this hotel because of the great accommodations, such as the roof top pool which has a small bar, the proximity to the beach and the bayside beach in the back is so great, it’s also right next to Secrets which makes for an easy walk to and from. But in the last couple of years to been showing its age, the rooms and bathrooms are very run down and kinda gross. It’s a real shame as this has been our go to hotel for as long as we have been coming to OC. And it’s not an inexpensive place to stay either. The staff are still very nice and the beds are comfy. So if that’s all your concerned with then by all means. There are beautiful views from our balcony in the morning and night. We have witnessed many weddings on our little private bayside beach at the hotel in the past years. But unfortunately due to the lack of upgrades we will not be staying here again, unless some things start changing and getting remodeled. We have had so many great memories here, so long Princess Bayside.

While the hotel is a little dated the service is excellent and the facility is clean. Finnegins is a good spot for a burger and a beer. I really enjoy the breakfast buffet.

They have everything you need under one one roof. However I was expecting more from management with the issues we encountered: our hot tub had a leak, our carpet was soaked and the toaster didn't work. We were not offered any type of concession, the place could use some renovating. Nice bed. Plenty of parking.

Amazing place great service I'd recommend to every one I know. We will be staying here again.

A little outdated, no full length mirror, not a lot of food options within walking distance. Lovely service and gorgeous bathroom for a good price.

Love this hotel the employees are fabulous and sweet. The bartender Christy was wonderful and so happy to be at work. The pool was great they had a huge volley ball event. Yet I was never disturbed by all these teenagers they said were here… I thought this was goimg to be an annoyance. Nope not here it was enjoyable and the manager went out if her way to put me 4 floors away without having to be asked. It was so cute because I brought my nieces and she said those boys will not be having shenanigans… you'll never see a better sunset then here this is my 4th year visiting them and look forward to next year. Thanks so much for my wonderful stay princess bayside!

The worst hotel I have ever experienced. Accident happened when the beach chair at the back porch of my room broke and cut my finger. Second, the coffee maker pot is broken. Terrible! Don’t ever check in this hotel.

The bed was comfy. Other then that the place has gone done hill real bad. Bar wasn't open sometimes and they didn't serve food at night. Very disappointed.

It's comfortable, clean and the staff is friendly, but it very basic. Wi-Fi is awful, if that's important go elsewhere.

We didn't stay here but we watched the Saint Patrick's Day parade here and ate and had a beer … nice hotel… Found out there's parking right across the street for $20 hours until 5

Loved it. Rooms weren't fantastic or very big, but hardly spent time in the room. Most of the staff were very friendly. Loved the bay and the location.

So far we've had a broken air conditioner that was met with "well we are sold out of standard rooms" so thankfully the gentleman was able to replace it or the lady at the front desk would have had us in a sauna all night. The room serves it's purpose but is no frills. That's all I can ask for I'll update this review when we are done. Looking back this was the worst experience we ever had.

A beautiful hotel, with a great sea view.

Great location if you plan to have a night at Seacrets and want to avoid having to drive or pay for a taxi. The view of the bay is amazing and the rooms are clean and big. The staff is friendly as well! Great time as always!

We had two lamps that were not functioning properly. When the issue was brought to the front desk, they quickly took care of replacing the lamps. Room service seemed good, front staff seemed friendly. It was an average business trip, staying at an average hotel.

It's clean but it could use some repairs and new wallpaper or paint. The pool area is nice too. The hotel is decent but it could use some updating. The bathroom was clean but the drain drained water slowly. I would say it could use a good snaking. The other Princess property up in the 90s was much better. We stayed there last year and we enjoyed it.

Nice hotel. Right next to everything. Very accommodating. The manager Barbara was very helpful and pleasant. I had issues with my car and she allowed me to keep my belongings in my room past the checkout time so that I can get my car fixed. My only real issue was with the security. They go a little too hard. The manager Steve is cool but the others act like they failed the police academy so go extra hard as security guards. I saw them walking directly into a guests room because they smelled weed. They're already charging $200 if you smoke in the room or on the balcony so I was a little confused as to why they went as hard as they did. They Banged on a couples door yelled at them for arguing in their room. I've traveled a lot in my lifetime and have never seen security go as hard as they did during this trip. Besides a few hiccups and the rude security. I enjoyed my stay.

I was a bit skeptical about booking here due to the reviews. My room was pretty clean, didn't smell. The staff was nice. There are two pools, indoor and rooftop pools. The atmosphere was pretty chill and lay back on both. The rooftop pool has a small bar serving frozen drinks and beers. Two story parking lot which is free. I have no complaints about my stay. Would come back.

After reading many reviews, I was a little nervous about staying here. It was better than what I had expected based on reviews. Upon check-in, we were charged an additional $25 per person, per night. When asked why since our room technically slept 6, they said they charge per person, not by room. Wish this was more clear before booking. Also, had an issue with requesting anything additional in room. Asked 3 times for extra towels and never received. We ended up taking extra pool towels. This hotel was perfect location for our group since we mostly spent our time at Seacrers. Beware, hotel is very strict on no smoking! Witnessed several guests getting fined. Did not stop our hallway from smelling like weed each day.

Very welcoming. Great drink prices and happy hour. Try the chicken Caesar. Homemade croutons yum! Shout out to the chef Thomasina (yep so good I asked her name) and to the bartender Kim. Definitely going to keep coming back. A hidden gem at the beach!

The 1 night stay wasn't cheap at ALL … BUT it was worth it. It was understandable, my folks weren't sure if they wanted to stay but I def. Wanted to. A family friend of ours stayed at another hotel further away for almost same price but ours was really nice too but had few extra bonuses. I booked last minute as in the morning of while I was at the beach with the family. Everything was booked but l sure got lucky found that the Princess Bayside Hotel had a vacancy. I booked the BayFront Efficiency for $419+taxes like I said not cheap but was worth it! The room included a nicely equipped kitchen (yes, with microwave, stove, sink, full sized fridge) roomy bathroom, 2 temperpedic beds, 1 couch with pullout bed, a nice balcony overseeing the private little beach with a chair to sip morning coffee, a nice closet with safe, flat screen TV on top of a dresser, a 2 person wood table to enjoy a meal and lastly the room had really nice AC. My room was located on 2nd building — which I was lost at 1st when I had stepped into check in since it's done in the main building and we were sent to next building. Overall it was a great room to stay in it was clean, tidy, perfect layout and hotel staff were amazing. For the extras the hotel has a pub restaurant as well on 1st building didn't stay long enough to check it out. They have 2 pools an indoor and outdoor pool but didn't get to check them out either.

We stayed here in early july and it was okay. The rooms are pretty bare. The balconies have cheap wal-mart chairs that some of are starting to break. The all you can eat breakfast was dissapointing. The people who spoke english well were very helpful though. The beds are very nice and comfy. I liked the couch but disliked the dining chairs. The shower was nice too. I liked the indoor and outdoor pool but the outdoor pool tiles were all loose and moved when we walked on them. Not the best place I've ever stayed but not a bad place. I was moderately satisfied with our stay.

Decent hotel. The rooms were spacious. We had two beds plus an area to relax in. A large television and a big bathroom. The A/C was awesome, so cold I was exhaling condensation. Lol. Staff was pretty good. The breakfast is free from 7-11 and is pretty decent. The view from my room was great, I was able to see the water since I was high enough. The building is divided into two. I rented this for independence day weekend. The cost was $190/night. The only reason I got it that cheap was because I booked early. When I checked the prices closer to the trip they were in the upper $200's. I was confused when I first arrived because the staff, inside of the building I checked in, told me to park next to where I checked in on the top parking level. Well the building where you check in goes from room 1-26 and the second building is 26 on up. The 2nd level parking connects to the building numbered 26 and up and my room number was 404. I finally figured it out. Didn't take that long but I could've done without that extra 10 minute journey. There are bending machines with snacks and sodas on every floor. Whatever you do, DO NOT park behind the main building as that's the parking for another hotel and they WILL tow. I went out a 4 times from 8-3 am and all 4 times I saw a vehicle being loaded or towed out. All in all the experience was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing an affordable place to stay.

Stayed in the Jacuzzi King room. The room was fantastic! However, the view wasn't too great as we were facing the hotel next door. The Wi-Fi connection is serviceable for simple Google searches, but not great or fast by any means, at least in our room. The bed and Jacuzzi were wonderful. Haven't used either of the pools. Staff was OK, but not very personable.

Just stayed at the princess bayside from Friday to Monday and had a wonderful stay. I stayed in a bayfront room on the first floor that overlooked the bay along with palm trees. The beds are extremely comfortable and I slept soundly each night. Our air conditioning wasn't work well at first but we made one phone call and a maintenance man was there within minutes to fix the problem. The hotel has a very quiet and had a clean rooftop pool with an amazing view overlooking the bay. The hotel is centrally located to everything you could possibly need and for 3 dollars a day you can take the bus up and down the main road outside the hotel. Overall I'm sad to be leaving and can't wait for my next trip back here!

We love the Princess Bayside. The Bayfront efficiency rooms are very nice and big. The rooftop pool with bar is just fantastic and the view is something you have to see for yourself… The staff is always very friendly and helpful and did I mention they have a rooftop pool and a large indoor pool incase it rains… Coconuts is right around the corner too…

I wish I could give this place negative stars. My boyfriend and I encountered the most unprofessional and rude manager I've ever met. He was harassing us because it was Memorial Day Weekend and he just assumed we were trying to sneak into our friends room and being dishonest about the number of people in the room. We had a room REGISTERED for four people and that is exactly how many people were in the room, including us. We were polite to him the entire time until I was fed up and told him I didn't appreciate the way he was talking to us. Instead of apologizing and bringing down his tone, it made him more aggressive and he started threatening to follow us to our room to inspect the number of people. I felt completely harassed and embarrassed by his behavior. Never have I dealt with someone so rude in the hospitality business. I wouldn't even hire this guy at a McDonalds.

This hotel should not even have a rating and lacks the ability to even qualify as a Super 8 Motel. We encountered the most unprofessional and rude manager I've ever met in the hospitality business. If you want to be treated like a child and stay in a room that will make you feel like you're staying in a third world country then I would recommend this hotel but otherwise take your family and money elsewhere. This place is horrible! Please never waste your money here! Paid 300 for a room and got charged 200 more for SMOKING A CIGARETTE OUTSIDE! I've never heard of such a thing. All employees were rude. Absolutely will never go again and I hope none of you do either.

I stayed there on August 27th, 2015 and was very disgusted when I went into the bathroom to find a pubic hair on the toilet seat, an indication that the toilet had not been cleaned. Then when I went to take a shower I found all the towels to be dirty and stained, one even had pieces of hair on it. The window and carpet was dirty. The toilet seat and bathtub were chipped and should have been replaced. The room had one of those very big old outdated TV, no flat screen. Their plumbing needs to be updated,, it took forever for the water to go down the drain in the tub and sink. The staff was nice and responsive but I was terribly dissatisfied with the room it was not worth $150 a night, I have stayed in cheaper nicer hotels. The only good thing was the comfortable bed and location. But I will never ever stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights. The first night we stayed here we had lukewarm water. Over the next two full days we had no hot water either. It was ice cold. I called the front desk to inquire about the water. At first, they said too many people were using the water at the same time and to try again later. We never had hot water (neither in the sink or shower) for the rest of the two full days. At check out we spoke to the manager and she gave us a $50 refund. Also, the towels in our bathroom were dirty. They had both head and pubic hairs inside of the folded part of the towels. Rooms are outdated. Beds did appear clean and I did not see any evidence of any bugs or rodents. However, the lighting is dark/poor quality, some outlets were not working, no mirror in the bedroom area, and the one light near the refrieg. Was burned out. We did not use the pool during our stay and there was not a lot of parking in the parking lot. People staying in the room next to us were locked out of their room for awhile and could not gain entry, while a staff person worked on opening their door. The individuals asked us if we had hot water and we told them that we did not. When we got in the elevators to check out two girls asked us if we had hot water and we said that we did not have hot water during our stay either. I would not stay here again because of the hot water issues, feeling like I got the run around from staff about the issues, and the dirty towels. Not worth the price.

This hotel is very nice! We've been in the hotel several times to eat in the restaurant and it's always been clean and the employees are friendly and nice. We considered having my daughter's wedding here because they have a beautiful bayside setting. We didn't, but only because we went with a location that had more sentimental meaning to our family. We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel in the future.

I absolutely LOVE staying at the Princess Royale! This last trip was probably my 12th year, and it's still as nice as it was the first time I stayed. Here's why I love it: 1. Oceanfront views! If you stay in an oceanfront room, the view is SPECTACULAR! 2. It's close to the beach. The walk across the dune is very close to the back entrance, making the walk to the beach very short. 3. The pool. The pool is awesome and the kids love it. The atrium is beautiful and it has a large patio area. If it's raining, the pool is there! 4. The beachside bar and food. If you are hungry or thirsty, just stroll up to the duneside bar and quench yourself. 5. The rooms. The rooms are spacious, and include a sitting area, two TV's and a kitchen. The condos are even better! 6. The location. Located just a few minutes from everything, but not too close to the crowded downtown area 7. The entertainment. There is a guy who sits outside by the bar and plays guitar and sings.

The room was nice but out dated a little.

Had a few minor issues Barbara and Mr. Rickett resolved right away great place would go back may be dated but well worth the money.

THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Aside from the rooms being ridiculously overpriced for a small dirty space, with two small beds and a view of the highway. There were so many issues in the three short days I was there. First we had no running water for 5 HOURS. I am not kidding, no running water in the entire hotel. That meant no flushing the toilet, no showering, nothing. Finally when the water started running again, it was not hot! I called the front desk multiple times and every time they said they would send someone up, and they never did. Eventually it returned. The next day. Also every electronic (TV, MICROWAVE, LIGHTS) were unplugged. Why? I am not sure. And our AC broke while we were there and we sweltered for a couple hours. I will say the man who fixed our AC was quick and cordial. Overall, this hotel is just not worth the money. I stayed in motels in that area before and they were much nicer. I hate to give such a bad review but our experience was really THAT BAD. Unfortunate weekend for the hotel? maybe. But yea, not returning to Princess Bayside.

4 out of 5 for a 2 star-rated hotel. They would get the extra star if the internet access was decent, the tv's were improved and a more modern look such as paint and lighting. Management, please drop your current internet provider. The hotel rooms themselves are very dated. The TV's are old 4:3 ratio tube televisions. Surely the hotel can find the budget for newer flat screens. Despite this, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were fairly clean. Our bathroom had a drain problem but that is easily fixable. Good 2-star hotel overall. I would stay again for a conference.

We had three night at the hotel. We are very disappointed with the Hotel management. We were at 2nd floor. The worst night was on Thursday night, when we awoke to the noise of what sounded like 20 people partying in the hallway, banging on doors, yelling and partying with no regard to others. Some one from 2nd floor called front desk and the security came around 11pm Then It got better only for 15 minutes. We called front desk around 3 am. The front desk told us that she is too scared to come up, it was addressed by security for the second time. The next morning on the way out, we complained to the manager that we had slept only three hours because of the hotel drama. The only respond we got from the manager was" I am sorry you should call the police".

Rooms are dated and in need of some basic love, but are clean. Staff is very responsive. Wifi is lousy, better to add $10 to the price and allow us to not get kicked off.

Very expensive, but the views of the water are unparalleled in the bay front efficiencies. Very roomy inside. Everything you need in the kitchenette is there if you're planning on cooking in, though room service will bring you whatever you want from the Restaurant in the lobby (which is also pretty good). Balcony is semi-private, kind of like a bathroom stall is private. There's a private beach, some nice palm trees, and they offer kayaking and pontoon sailing there. There's a pool bar on the roof and you're literally right next to Seacrets. This is great place for couples, but unfortunately, it's also a flocking point for meat-heads, frat boys, and generally mid-Atlantic trash because of its prime location. A band of black-shirted "bouncers" roam the halls, lobby, and parking lot, mostly enforcing a no smoking on grounds policy, sometimes dog-piling on drunken, adolescent morons. Great place, but it tends to have a senior-week like atmosphere during the heights of summer.

We rented the King Jacuzzi Suite for $180 a night. We have never been there before and reserved the room after seeing the website. When booking the room I thought we would be getting more of a luxury, upscale experience then when we actually walked in, as the lobby and rooms could use some upgrading. I felt our room was overpriced considering how dated it was; old carpeting, drop ceiling in kitchen leading into popcorn ceiling in living area, old appliances, old style floral curtains and bedding, mirrors are stained and have "rust marks", and NO bay view. The only view we had from this room was the back of the other building (which apparently faces the bay and offers the view). That being said; it was very clean, the Jacuzzi tub was a fabulous amenity, great water pressure so the tub fills up quickly, and the service was good. The guy in the lobby (he was new, in training, sorry I forgot his name) was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us some great ideas on places to visit and things do. Overall, the only complaint I have is that it was overpriced for the quality of that particular room. I think when they first did this room it was top notch but it's now due for a "face lift". There are many cheaper rooms available within this hotel and other places as well. I would definitely go back there again but I wouldn't rent this room next time. My advise is to save your money, rent a cheaper room, and spend it enjoying the many great things Ocean City has to offer.
