Very nice room. A little noisy on the highway side. We could not regulate the air conditioner. Actually turned it off and was still blowing freezing air. I slipped during my shower. Very slick. Exhaust fan in bathroom needs cleaned, did not work well at all. Just the little things.

I absolutely loved staying here last night! The room was so nice — very clean! A/c worked perfectly, water pressure in shower — AMAZING! This place is ran by some really nice folks, very grateful for a nice experience!

We booked a suite at this hotel to get some rest while our son was in the hospital. The room was very clean, very spacious, and the concierge was so helpful and attentive. The room was the perfect place to relax and reset before heading back to the hospital. Would definitely recommend.

The staff here is super friendly once they warm up to you. The amenities are great, free laundry, fitness room, pool, & patio with grill. However, one washer was broken leaving only two washers for guests. In addition, they have a definite mold problem in this hotel. You can see the building deteriorating when you drive up. When you get inside, you can smell the mold in the stairwells. You also notice all the well placed air fresheners to mask the smell. Once in our room, the mold smell was overpowering but we remedied that by opening the windows. Three of us (out of 5) got sick in the 10 days we were there and I can only assume it was related to the mold. I do have to say though that most of the hotels in Lexington seem to be in some state of disrepair so if you can ignore the mold, this could be a good short term choice.

Great place to stay! Big, clean rooms, SUPER friendly staff. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a business stay overnight, and plenty of room to work a bit, if needed. I will definitely be returning here when in the area!

Clean and spacious rooms. Very good value for the price and conveniently located off the highway. Amenities were good with kitchenette in room. Only drawback was construction near the hotel made navigation difficult.

The people at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. My room was nice, clean, and comfortable enough. The highlight though are the linens on the bed. Fresh, clean, and oh so comfortable! I've stayed at hotels that cost 4 times as much and their bedding didn't come close. There's not much in the immediate area as far as restaurants or entertainment, so be prepared for a drive if you're hungry.

Over charged me and still have Not received my money. Please check bank statements before leaving area. Manager not helpful.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Our son slept in a crib in the living room and we slept in the bedroom. The room was well stocked and clean. The beds were comfortable although the pillows were not the best. Everything was up to date. My only real complaint was that the room had a strong smell when we walked in. We got used to it but every time we left and came back it took a while to get used to again. Other than that, I'd recommend this hotel. I loved the honor system shop, great selection of snacks and drinks.

Hotel is competitively priced. Only clean rooms once a week. No continental breakfast. Odd smell throughout the hotel and odd location. Probably wouldn't recommend.

Do not believe everything you read about this hotel! Pictures are not accurate nor are the prices according to the front desk "no help" Kyle who actually hung up on me when I questioned why the website shows these amenities but doesn't have them? Very much false advertising and buyer beware!

Daughter went for a slumber party but wouldn't pick this myself. It was a little sketchy looking.

Just remodeled rooms were awesome very family orientated friendly and helpful staffalmost like home.

Google said this is a two star hotel but I give it three based on my experience. I booked this through the IHG app so the big difference is that there is no hot breakfast. Other than that this is comparable to most Holiday Inn hotels that I visit. Kitchenettes are a nice touch if you’re staying a while; doesn’t really matter for a one-night stay. Lots of other amenities for long stays: pool, fitness room, laundry service. The neighborhood is a little sketchy and free parking isn’t really a perk in this type of area. Still, I would stay here again.

Room was nice and clean. Needed an extra bed for our daughter so they gave us a cot, and only charged us for it part of the week we were there. Managers were always very nice and engaging. Very accommodating.

Booked a room easily for a concert that was in town, got to town and hotel services refused to refund even a cent of what I paid when I booked it due to the concert being cancelled as I arrived in town from Ohio I may add. They never specified that they didn't refund on anything I saw from them and then further I was lied to by a staff member when they bluffed about talking to their supervisor.

This was the first time staying at a Candlewood Suites. We were very pleased. Comfortable rooms, and pleasant staff.

Housekeeping is only once a week and the TVs are dated, but the staff is super friendly and the Wi-Fi is faster than I expected.

Not the best area (gas station a few blocks away is pretty shady) but property is well kept. Lobby and rooms are spotless, well maintained. Extended stay room was well stocked with a small cooktop, full size fridge, large microwave and even a dishwasher. All were very clean and ready to use. Pool area looked nice although we didn't use it. Bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was clean and a nice size although the water pressure was somewhat lacking. Room was fairly close to the highway but completely noiseless. Staff was friendly and efficient. Close enough to the heart of LEX without paying downtown prices! ($7 uber ride to distillery district, totally worth it! ) 100% certain we will stay here again!

Clean room, came with small kitchenette, frig, and microwave. Shower head high, didn't have to bend over to wash my hair. Pillows good, although always bring your own if you can. Thermostat on wall instead of on the floor unit… very controllable.

After staying at this Candlewood Suites with my wife and mother in law (2 rooms), I was dissatisfied and intended to leave a review, but decided to let it go… I am an easy going guy and rarely get worked up enough to be vindictive about "little things. " My anger was reignited today when I saw a withdraw from my bank account 30 DAYS AFTER OUR STAY. We decided to stay here on a trip to Lexington because I have had positive experiences with (other) Candlewood locations in the past. The rate was competitive but in hindsight I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6 or the like. We were unable to sleep because of extreme temperature swings. I got up to turn down the A/C at least 5 times throughout the night. The thermostat was set at 71, however the room temperature displayed as high as 79 when I went to turn it down. When I spoke to the manager the morning after, he stated that the thermostats are motion activated… that makes sense during the daytime when rooms are unoccupied but not at night when you are trying to sleep (relatively motionless, obviously). Our bed was positioned where one side had only 6 inches of clearance against the wall so it was necessary to roll to the end of the bed to get out without being pinched in between the wall and bed. There was a mattress cover (understandable) but it was so extraordinarily loud that it was also waking us up the few times we were able to doze off.

Room & staff were great. Facility was a little hard to find even with Google. Would definitely stay when I am in Lexington.

Fantastic stay! I made a mistake and booked for the wrong night, they totally took care of us and matched our rate! Gave some drinks and snacks for the road the next morning. Room was great, clean, comfortable, lived the pool. Thank you!

Nice place, value for money. Room was big enough. Stayed here for two weeks almost. Very friendly and nice staff. Manager's reception is every Wednesday evening, they give away some good food. Hotel was clean and kitchenette was provided.

Great place clean quit and the shower and bed was the best. Would deff recommend this place.

We had a fabulous stay this past week! No one was in our room at all unless we called for someone to come up! The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable from general questions to the most unique! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

If you need or want to stay in Lexington, you should stay here! Friendliness of staff is impeccable. The rooms are amazing. They even accept pets for a reasonable fee. Plus the rates are amazing! My husband works in South Carolina and I and the family live in Missouri. We usually meet once a month in Tennessee but I got lost this time and wound up in KY. We found this hotel late at night and were not disappointed. So instead of going to Tennessee we stayed here! They have a very nice indoor pool. Plus a nice dog walk and even a grilling area with tables and a nice grill. The rooms are so clean and nice. They have a full size kitchen and even stock dishes! It's everything you could ask for. We stayed in a standard room with only one queen bed but they have many options on rooms for the family! The beds and bedding are so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. Also very quiet, we never heard anyone else! I can't say enough about this hotel! Thank you for making our stay flawless!

I had a poor experience with their customer service, but upon initial review was contacted and they had the issue resolved. I wish they could have handled it without my need to post a poor review first.

This is my first night stay at the hotel however it is absolutely wonderful. The room is equipped like an apartment. There was a kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer and microwave as well as a nice bathroom and one bedroom. It was very clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice home-like environment whether on a business trip or on vacation. You will not be disappointed.

Upon calling to reserve my room, I asked if I could get the pet fee waived since on my previous stay they had offered to waive the fee without even having to ask, so I thought. He said that wouldn't be a problem, so I booked the room. When we went into our reserved room, the AC was not working. Spoke with the front desk and they said maintenance probably wasn't onsite, and that it wasn't very hot outside anyway. After asking for a new room, the front desk finally rudely said he will find one. When we went into second room, it was dirty and the shower curtain was missing. Upon checking out, there was a $50 pet fee on my bill. I asked the lady at the front desk and she had to call management to reimburse my account. A week later, I find that the $50 had been recharged to my account. I called and spoke with Eric, who was very rude and unhelpful. He stated that since I was charged the pet fee on the previous stay, that I was once again going to get charged. Even though upon reserving they told me it wouldn't be a problem to waive fee. I looked back upon my previous stay and sure enough, the charge was on my statement. Needless to say, we will not be staying at this hotel from now on. Most of the staff are very helpful, but I won't tolerate the few rude and lying staff members.

Had a great stay and the staff was great. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfy (and I'm picky about mattresses). I'll be coming back next time I'm in Lexington.

This place stinks. No really, it actually smells like garbage. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room looked clean, but for some I kept getting this old trash smell. I generally love Candlewood suites. Unfortunately, this is one I won't return to. Regretting not spending the extra ten bucks to stay at the Hampton Inn.

Our non smoking roomed smelled like smoke when we checked in but after getting some air freshener from the front desk and turning up the a/c it went away. Very clean appearance throughout the facilty. Free washer and dryer area. Best part of the place was the outdoor sitting area that was equipped with a gas grill for guest to use. Nice little kitchenettes in the rooms as well.

I have been here two weeks and have no complaints. The room I'm staying at is clean I just don't like that they don't have hd TV but its alright. Really like the free laundry.

Puts on a clean facade but when one is there any amount of time you see particulars that turn the nose. Complimentary laundry machines are available if not being used by the hotel staff. That goes for the weight room as well. They will only clean once a week and charge you extra is the room takes "too long to clean. " I don't think these people have ever had to work out of town all week 11 hours a day, then come back to live in a closet and uncomfortable bed. Forget about bringing an animal. Aside from the $75 charge the management appears to have the idea that all animals are unsanitary and should not touch any part of the room other than the floor. The cleaning is half-a*s and I waited 6 weeks before getting a new roll of paper towels. (which I had to end up buying myself despite a smiling manager promising me she would hand deliver towels to my room. ) I've stayed in and out of hotels for about 5 years and have never had management (especially one who only cleans once a week) complain they had to take too much trash out of my room. And to add to all of this, it is in a horrible part of Lexington (near several trailer parks and industrial parks) and one has to drive to the opposite side of town in order to find food worth eating. Obviously remodeled (not new) for the world equestrian event in 2010, at which time I am sure price gouging will take place.
