The room was clean, but as this was an extended stay hotel there are some differences. As a business Traveler I tend to expect that the room be made up every night in fact I look forward to the bed being crisply made and the room refreshed. That's not the case here this facility shows some definite signs of aging there are cracks and caulking around the tub leaking areas. What I would have to describe as excessive almost uncomfortable amount of water pressure usually the problem is lack of water pressure. In this case I had to get the shower head switched between two modes to where the Jets weren't actually painful. The full size refrigerator and cooking area, would have been excellent for someone who was actually in the room for an extended amount of time. I found the ice maker and the refrigerator handy. There is an adequate desk nice chair but lacking was a stand for my suitcase. I found the bed comfortable and the bathroom functional although they only make up the room every 7 days and it only starts at with three towels. Towels and linens have to be hold down to the main desk and exchanged and then you get to make your own bed not on my watch thank you. I also found the worst excuse for in room television channels that I personally have seen the picture on the television was dark the TV was small compared to many other room so that I've been in recently.

I cannot say enough about this place! I travel constantly for work and spend a lot of my time on hotels because of it (easily 120 days so far this year). This is definitely one of the best I've been to. It's clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and the amenities are beyond what is typical. I've stayed at a handful of hotels here in KC and it would be hard to recommend any others over this one. I'll definitely be staying here whenever i'm back in a few weeks.

Good bed. Worn recliner — 1. Presence of recliner +2. No corkscrew — 0. No one at front desk to ask about corkscrew — 2. Proximity of hen house grocery +2.

Good run of the mill hotel. Provide what you need and soft beds. Clean, comfy and quiet. Tiny shampoo bottles though but good one all around.

Hallways and accommodations are dated but clean and well maintained. Was less than impressed with the used coffee and filter in the room coffee machine though. Staff is pleasant and friendly.

It's fine. Nothing overly awesome, nothing bad. It's just a good quiet place to sleep for a few nights.

Did you know there are 2 of these in the area? We stopped at this one thinking this was where we were staying we were wrong. That being said the lobby was nice, clean and the staff were very helpful.

Awesome customer relations and conflict management. A disgruntled customer came in and demanded to be checked in a two hours before rooms would be available. Irate, he demanded that a room be ready by 2 pm, or else… feeling threatened, the staff called management and developed a strategy, and when the man's wife returned, they calmly and politely refused her service due to the threatening nature of her husband. Furious, she swore and threatened to sue, muttering rude comments under her breath. While it was tense, and clearly emotionally charged, the staff dealt with these customers in a mature fashion, and in a way that made a customer like myself, innocently watching, feel confident about my hotel choice. Good work!

This hotel smells awful. Human stink of people who don’t bathe regularly. I made a reservation and requested early check in. They didn’t even have room ready at check in time. My husband became frustrated and said you need to have room ready in 20 minutes. They then kicked us out, refused our stay and made me stand in the cold. We did nothing threatening. Did not deserve that treatment. We were obviously frustrated by their incompetence. Ashton should be fired. I would stay at a hotel that rents by the hour before coming here.

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk. The sign posted said to call on the lobby phone, which was not there. So we had to call the hotel to get some one to come down and check us in. And we actually had to do this for 3 days cause there was never any one at the desk. The sink in the bathroom had the pop up for the drain removed and the sink was leaking. The tile floors were broken and moved around. And the unexpected $15 incidental fee is dumb, especially when we were the ones inconvenienced, and were staying at their already broken place.

This place was disgusting, not only did they not vacuum or clean the room, the door had a huge dent on it. The bathtub was the worst. They tried to cover up the damage with a mat, that is sort of a sponge like material, which means it's probably holding all sorts of bacteria and urine from previous guests. The housekeeping staff was on our floor and never once visited our room. So when we came back that afternoon, the room was not clean, (they ended up not visiting our room the entire WEEK) the bed was still unmade, and there were still towels all over the bathroom floor. The heating/AC unit didn’t work. The buttons wouldn’t do what their function was, you could press to turn the heat temp up and it would instead switch the fan to off, on, or auto, couldn’t even power it on or off. We had a great experience here and paid a great rate. This location was very comparable to the Hyatt Place in Overland Park. We were checked in by a friendly staff person who took the time to tell us about all the amenities available. Our room was large, with a full kitchen, a sizable TV, and lots of storage space. We felt very comfortable — this would be a great place to stay longer-term. The Lending Locker offers free appliances, books, and games to borrow during your stay, and the Cupboard provides snacks and common supplies 24/7. Payment is very easy, and you have the option to simply charge to your room. The only drawback was that in the morning, there was no one at the registration desk. There was only a sign saying that if a guest needed assistance, they could call a number.

Manager was nice and the room was ok. There were some pretty nasty looking stains on the crapper and the living room smelled a little odd. Bed and bathroom were clean though the drain in the tub was quite slow. Overall, it was ok.

The hotel is a little dated, the furniture needed refreshing, the mattress needed to be flipped, and the pillows smelled a little smoky. With all that said, it was still clean, and the people were amazing, and the price was great. I can handle dated, especially if it's clean and great service.

Decent rooms, very antiseptic smell tho. Reminded me of bandaids. Thin walls, noisy guests are a concern, and there were many. Good value for the price.

Seems like one of the oldest facilities in Overland Park. Our room has a moldy odor and there where no king beds in the property. The front desk appears to be severely understaffed during normal business hours. I recommend a newer place for a restful night.

I stayed here because of my previous experience with candlewood suites. This one is in desperate need for a remodel. The kitchen in my room is filthy. An inch of dirt on top of the refrigerator and food dripping down the side of the fridge. Crickets chirping all night in the kitchen light fixture. The bed is new and pretty comfortable and I guess that is the most important thing in a hotel room. Pretty disappointing there's no hot tub or swimming pool. I feel it is overpriced for this compared to other hotel suites in larger markets in this country.

The suite was spacious. A locking door separated the bedroom area from the pullout couch area. Both areas had separate TV's. The gym was adequate.

It has a great location, there are a few parks nearby, had great restaurants for breakfast and lunch in a less than 10 mim drive, the mall is also close. To me the best part is that is quiet and peaceful, I have not heard any noise from the street at all. Very friendly and welcoming staff as well. The room and bathroom are comfortable. Does not feel crowded at all.

Good location, not well kept, but a decent value… Laundromat, gym, kitchenette & pantry are all nice conveniences offered. No breakfast, the staff is less friendly than I remember during our 1st two month stay. I would say this location is going down hill and that you should consider Hilton Homewood Suites or another extended stay option if you want the atmosphere you come to expect from that type of place, they just don't seem as concerned with customer service here as they of were.

Great stay. We experienced a little bump in the road at first with the ac but it was quickly resolved. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in room 123, with a pet. The rate online said $104 per night but by the end with taxes and fees we paid about $150 for one night. There is no pool or continental breakfast which is kind of annoying but we were only going for one night so it wasn't a huge deal. Early check in wasn't available until 1pm which was very very inconvenient for us. They also called to complain about our dog barking but she was quiet when we got there. Dogs bark occasionally, I don't think we should have had to drop what we were doing and drive back to go get her. She was barking because we were RIGHT next to the washer dryer room and the washers sounded like someone knocking repeatedly on the door to our suite. Other than that, the room was small but had a queen bed, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, and a set of silverware. 3 towels in the bathroom as well. The bed felt clean enough and had two nightstands. Overall wouldn't stay again but I would say it's a decent place just too expensive for what you get.

Great extended stay suite for business. Room was very clean and comfortable. Rates were fair and the property is extremely convenient to Johnson County Community College.

Very nice rooms, lots of amenities. Felt pretty modern.

The appearance of the hotel other then the rooms was not very presentable. Another problem we ran in to was upon waking up, the floor was wet from the a/c unit. You have no way of walking around it, other then crawling over the bed. I would suggest spending a couple more dollars at another hotel or other Candlewood hotel.

It was great my room was basically a studio apartment with full fridge and stove and other then that it was clean and the ladies at the front desk treated me great.

Loving it. Everything is included (high — capacity laundry). Cleaning & maintenance are done properly. Incredible.

Room was nice, clean and had everything we needed. No rollaway beds.

Very close to the hospital. Great place to stay if you are in town visiting anyone at the hospital. The staff is very accommodating, but the hotel does have a dated feel to it. Pretty clean. Overall satisfied.

Great place to stay. Close to lots of good places to eat. Newly remodeled rooms. Shower has great water pressure.

A clean, comfortable hotel with very friendly staff! I spend a lot of time traveling for work, and having the ability to prepare meals in your room while away from home is a big benefit. I always look to stay in candlewood hotels, and this one did not disappoint!

You want to stay somewhere that you will get bug bits then stay here. Woke up with 3 bites on my leg and then found a bug on my floor the next morning. Is it that hard to keep your hotel clean?
