I came in for a Conference and had reservations to stay a week. When I arrived from the airport expecting to see something like the pictures online. Boy was I in for a surprise! Rooms were horrible! Nonsmoking smells of smoke. Sheets & dirty carpets old, dirty and musty. I asked for a change of room and it was worst than the first. This time the door couldn’t close properly. I couldn’t wait to get out! I stayed up until the office was open at 7 am and checked out. I stayed at a Best Western nearby and was happy! Good thing is that Econolodge refunded my money minus the few hours (a night from their perspective) I had spent in the room.

We were in a bit of a bind, and needed sleeping arrangements for that night. Our backup was sleeping in the car in a walmart parking lot, followed by a 10 hour car ride the next day. For us, this was the better option. Hot shower, good A/C, clean beds, nice staff. Beds are on the firm side, but still comfortable. The room was a bit dingy, and had a "musty smell" to it, but it didn't bother us too much. The bathroom also had a slight odor, but keeping the door closed was enough to make it not a issue. No bugs in our room we checked), but we could see how one of the downstairs rooms might have ants, due to the active ants nest we saw on the curb. Overall, if you need a place to stay, and are on a budget/ only need a place to sleep, this is probably one of your better options in the area. It worked great for what we needed, so a overall good experience for us!

I was double charges on my card. They are giving me a hard time about returninf my $94.27 and lied to me about awarding me points for my trouble. Brush you off attitude. Will never stay here again. Come on get you some better managers. I approved this message.

The rooms were spacious, bathroom in great condition, beds were super comfortable, room was clean, and the AC worked quite nicely. The black out curtains were great, and the rooms were quiet. The ample parking was nice, and the amenities for food we're within walking distance or a short drive if it happens to be warm out. The staff were professional, polite, and great to talk to. Highly recommend 10/10. Also the price was super value driven. Thank you for a great stay!

Clean smoking and non smoking rooms near Oglethorpe Mall. Just a 15 minute interstate trip from historic district. We get two nights here for the cost of one night in the trendier areas. Great parking and light coffee/pastry cereal selection for breakfast.

It was a good stay. Clean rooms, friendly service and plenty of towels.

Decided to get a room with my boyfriend and booked one at this location. The bathroom was FLITHY. Found a red stain on the tub and decided not to use or clean it because it could’ve been blood. The beds were crusty and stale looking. And I was a little itchy. I would NOT recommend this place to anybody! You’re better off sleeping outside.

The rooms were substandard and dirty! I used to run Hilton hotels now I have a tumor and dying but if I or my people were treated the way me and my first were I would have fired them on the spot I am gay and me and my partner heard them talking about us one even called us days I'm calling the better business bureau and WTOC what a homophobic and racist hotel y'all run I stayed here cause it's close to the hospital and now I have to find another place to stay because I fear for my safety now I will be taking this higher up as soon as I can get put of bed and now I'm going to do something y'all should be doing I'm showing respect. I've stayed here off and on over the last several years, and it has come a long way! Especially now that they've remodeled it. It's definitely a personal favorite of mine.

Great nice Staff! We stayed in a one Queen size bed room. It was comfy, felt like home to me. Room had a mini refrigerator, microwave, tv, desk and phone, AC/Heater, restroom and sink. Free Breakfast from 7am to 10am includes: Cereal Froot Loops or Raisin Bran Mini muffins Make Your Own Waffle Wheat Bread slices Bagels 2% Fat Milk (ONLY), Apple Juice, Orange Juice Coffee Syrup Toaster Microwave Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread Jelly Strawberry and Grape Great housekeeping staff! I wish I could give it a higher rate bc I honestly had an amazing stay for 2 weeks, no complaints what so ever. The beds felt great, no bugs at all, usually when I stay at other hotels the beds feel like if something is biting me but in this hotel I did not have to worry about that! 100% recomended, nothing fancy by the way, but it's a good place.

Booked this room with ease. Arrived at the hotel and everything was great. Got into our room and it was clean for the most part. A little out dated but clean… until I took a shower. The shower was very dirty and the shower head was disgusting. It was what is was and I cleaned it myself. We stayed for 2 nights. On our last night I threw away trash in the trash can in our room and noticed a roach. I tied up the bag and set it outside. I don't do bugs especially roaches. I walk in the bathroom to find a baby roach crawling on the floor. I'm now furious but was our last night. I get up the next morning to iron my pants (which the room doesn't supply an iron or board) and as I'm ironing a roach crawls out of my pants. I'm furious and my girlfriend calls the front desk and we get a response… what do you want me to do about it? We have a maintenance man but he doesn't speak good English. By that time our trip was over and they have gotten our money. It's the response we got out of the front desk that will keep me from staying there again. I see the responses on these reviews from the hotel and all they can say is. Hope you can give us another chance. All they care about is the money. Save a little more money and stay elsewhere. They don't care about the customers.

Cheap, quality, and all around great experience. I don't think you'll regret staying here.

The place was really nice, perfect for an overnight stay. I had no problems with the room or service.

I checked in about 11:30 pm. Went to my room and found hair all over both beds, on the towels, in the sink, in the shower. Stains on the sheets, mattresses and pillows. Mold growing in the shower. I called the front desk to ask about changing rooms and was told they were not allowed to change rooms after 11pm because that is the hotels quiet hours. I then asked for a refund so that I could go to another hotel and was told refund only be done in first shift by a manager. I actually ended up sleeping in the chair in the room. I went to check out the next morning and asked to speak to the manager and showed him pictures of the room. I only intended to make him aware that it was dirty and perhaps housekeeping could use some work. He said to me "how do I know you took those here and not somewhere else? " I told him to go look at the room. He came back a few minutes later and said he couldn't find anything like that and had the audacity to say he thinks I'm just trying to get money out of him. He then proceeded to escort me to the room to show him the things I was complaining about. We get to the room and the housekeeper and head housekeeper have already stripped everything off the beds. I am them verbally ambushed by the manager and head housekeeper. The manager going on about how she had worked there for 25 years. The head housekeeper ease taking about how her staff knows how to do their jobs and that they have all been there more than 10 years.

Clean! Nice! Very effective person at reception. Bit difficult to park van and trailer, but got help from receptionist.

The guy next door supposedly a drug dealer. Visitors knocking on his door all night. The room poor looking and smelled moist.

Clean room, cold a/c. The bed could have definitely been more comfortable as well as the pillows.

Just fine if all you need are the basics. Room was clean, smelled fine. Excellent price compared to others nearby. Would have liked to have eggs included at breakfast. Shower floor was very slippery, could use some kind of traction on tub floor. Saw one dying roach on air conditioner at check out, but overall pleasant experience.

There isn't a single surface in the entire room that I felt comfortable touching. This is the nastiest place I've ever seen. If it weren't for the fact that I was on the road late I never would have stayed. Smells like piss. Carpets need vacuuming. Bedding stained. Bath tub filthy. One star is giving them too much praise.

Location is great for us as we don't like staying in downtown Savannah all the time. The rooms are average and service is good enough. Pretty sure we have mold growing in our bathtub. Also, parking is pretty terrible for this hotel, only on one side and not enough, we had to park on grass last night. Overall acceptable for somewhere to sleep, and a decent price.

Hotel step, clean but with a musty smell. Breakfast normal. (Waffles, coffee, tea, bagels)

It's 3:49 am and I'm unable to sleep because my skin is crawling with bed bugs or what ever insects it is that's present in my room. I booked my room for a 3 night stay and this is my second night of insomnia. It has been an unpleasant experience for me thus far and I can't wait to check out. I would not be caught dead staying at Econolodge even if it's free.

Stayed here one night. A room got robbed. Obvious unsavory activity.

The rooms are clean with friendly staff. I've stayed there off and on over the years, and they haven't failed me yet. I would definitely come back again! It's close to everything, so that's a bonus.

I thought the room was really nice for what it is, which is a budget hotel. It was perfectly clean as far as I could tell. It had a nice TV that worked and got a lot of channels, the air conditioner worked and kept the room cool without being too loud. I even got a smoking room and it didnt smell bad at all, I could really only smell a faint cigarette smell which I would expect in a smoking room… I can't say what the non smoking rooms are like because I didn't stay in one. The guy at the front desk (Joshua) who checked me in was super nice. I will say, as other reveiwers said, it is near a place where I guess helicopters take off/land and you do really hear the helicopters, but this is not exactly the hotel's fault and I only heard 2 before I feel asleep, after which they did not bother me or keep me awake, though I am a heavy sleeper. The one thing I was a little disapointed about with the hotel was that online it said the rooms were $50 a night, but when I got there I found out they were $59 but after taxes it came to $71.67 which seems like a lot of money in taxes (over $10, really? ) At the end of the day though, for someone just looking for a place to sleep, it was better than shelling out $100+ dollars which is what most the hotels in the area run. As long as you keep in mind that your not staying at the Ritz (or paying to stay at the Ritz) this hotel is perfectly fine, and I would recomend it.

Most disgusting place I've ever been in. Roaches, a smell I can't even describe and the bed looked like it had been made up while still dirty. We left immediately. You're better off sleeping in your car.

Not so crappy room at $50 but super crappy room at $116. Skip it, sleep in the car.

Filthy! Don't judge by the photo on here it's not what the rooms look like. We found two spiders crawling on our bed. The wall had a punch hole. There was mold on the walls the non-smoking room smelled awful! The pillow cases looked stepped on with shoe prints. Toilet seat broken the surround area looks like the slums. But the staff was very nice and hospitable.

We did not have a good stay here the fridge was broken and when we told mgmt they moved us to a room that smelled as if folks had been having a orgy with dogs, even my children noticed the horrid smell upon entering. They ended up moving us back to the first room with the broken fridge, my husband had to tote and switch out the fridges because the night. The person was a little old Indian lady. The room had no iron or clock. I would also advise folks not to stay on the backside of the hotel as it was unsafe and filled with vice, there were middle age pot bellied weed smokers drinking and gambling with their doors opened.

Staff was Great. The room was horrible TV didn't work roaches everywhere they need to clean up. Wouldn't stay there again.

Cockroaches made me leave immediately.

Upon arrival, this place superficially speaks for what the hotel is like overall. A place to sleep for a night.

Housekeeping adjusted the thermostat so the room was hot when we came back in, the breakfast is mini bagels and mini muffins with the weakest coffee. There is no milk, no cereal, no instant oatmeal. Just bagels. Not even fruit. Staff was rude or incompetent and sometimes both. No pool. When I booked I was told there was a hair dryer in room. There wasn't. They only offer one pillow per person, and no you can not get extra. Turning the shower on soaks the entire bathroom, and yet there still isn't adequate water pressure. When I booked, it said free HBO. That was wrong. There are roughly 20 channels and the remote was held together with tape. It was clean enough, and the price is great, but if you can afford 10 more bucks a night, hit the Travelodge. Much better.

Fly-by's from local helicopter pilots will keep you up. You can't sleep no matter how comfortable the bed and room are. Strong sleeping pills needed.

It's some where you would go if you need some place to lay your head for the night. Motel is kept up for the most part. Room 205. Air condition is very noisy and disturbing.

This was just a hotel. That was about it. If you need a place to sleep go there.

This is an older motel. It has the looks of having been built in the 1960s or 70s, but it seemed to be well maintained and clean. We stayed in June and the air conditioning kept the room cool. We checked in after dark and the lobby was closed so we used the outside window. The neighborhood seemed safe enough however the parking lot wasn't very well lit. We heard loud music being played outside around midnight. This wasn't the motels fault, but it was annoying. I would stay here again if I came back to Savannah.
