Ok place to stay the beds are fairly comfortable, TVs we're modern, and everything was clean. I especially liked the chair available in the room. My headphones mysteriously disappeared after the maids cleaned half way through my trip but can't prove that it was them. Either way not a bad place to stay I'd just keep your valuables hidden.

Nice rooms, recently renovated. Great-tasting hot breakfast. No laundry facilities/service available. Some renovations still underway, so the new paint smell is prominent in some places.

Good location. Staff was awesome. Excellent breakfast and it's free. Rooms are being renovated and they are nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Not a bad place to stay for a couple of nights for business. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Hotel shows some wear and will need a remodel in the next few years. The main entrance needs to be redone. It's not inviting, dark and narrow for a main entrance. It should be much brighter and wider.

Nice staff. Currently under remodeling and I was in an older style room but it was still very comfortable. Definitely due for an update though. Very short walk to the downtown square and some food food and music! Just a few minutes away from Cresswinds Lake Lanier so perfect for my visit.

Friendly staff, decent workout room, quiet hotel rooms. Stayed there off and on for three weeks for work. It was always quiet despite being sold out. Breakfast covers the full range of all standard items with hot items changing daily.

Nice location close to downtown. It can be a little difficult to get into the parking lot. Rooms are currently under renovation, so there is a little extra activity around the hotel throughout the day.

Nice rooms free Internet. Good breakfast and a clean bathroom. Very happy with my stay so far.

Sorry I have to give a star. Room was so filthy that my wife couldn’t stay there. In Gainesville for business, had to go somewhere else. When we called Hilton reservations on this matter they would not switch nonrefundable credit to another Hilton facility in the community. Hilton call center representative lied to us that the other facility in the community was fully booked when I had that hotel on another phone. Sorry for the good hotels in the Hilton system.

Wonderful people here that want to treat you like a guest in there house rather than a "no name person" at a hotel.

Extremely hospitable and ready to make feel at home. Every one on staff that you come in with is very helpful, friendly with one goal in mind. You and making sure you are taken care of.

The hotel overbooked and gave away the 2 queen bed room that I reserved for 4 adults to another customer. They provided us with one king bed room. No other hotel rooms available within 45 miles. The hotel wasn't clean and the customer service upon checkout was horrible.

Quiet hotel, but no restaurant inside … they don't even sale tums …

Decent hotel. Beds are comfortable. Very thin walls though, can hear everything.

Wi-Fi is great, a bit tricky to figure it out and log on, but after that the service is amazing. The breakfast is delicious, just delicious. The beds are great and comfy. Just like at home.

Service is friendly, efficient. Man taking care of checking in had a great sense of humor.

This was one of my best experiences with hotels. My family recently visited Gainsville, were looking for a comfortable yet affordable place to stay the night. We rested opon the Hampton Inn. Not expecting much, we walked in and were greeted by enthusiastic staff members. We reached our room which was completed with two queen sized beds, one bathroom (shower + toilet and sink), and a tv. We ended up going to the pool three times in the short 18 hours we attended the hotel. Amazing pool, although it's nothing special, it's a wonderful place to spend your time! (especially when it's 95 degrees outside;) ) We ended up eating the free breakfast at the hotel as well. The food was amazing and was very organized and hygienic. Very wide variety for everybody. We left and were happy with our "staycation"

Two reasons for the 2 stars. First, the Wifi wouldn't work. It showed full bars, but I could not get the log in screen. I called the front desk and she said it must mean rain is coming. Second, it took me two nights to realize the thermostat had a motion detector. I kept waking up hot in the middle of the night. The A/C was turning off because I wasn't moving.

Customer service is horrible to the MAX! I work for the state, and I will be letting my supervisor know where there money went, and doesn't need to continue to go. Horrible experience.

The Hampton Inn in Gainesville Ga STOLE OUR MONEY! We Stayed there on Sunday the 19th & SOOO Much Stuff from the Air Conditioner going out, the Fridge Not Working (and the Food Spoiling) to the Microwave BLOWING UP & making Sizzling Noises… They had to Return Our Money. I Called the General Manager, cause according to the Manager on site he "Didn't know How to do that? " She said she was "In a Meeting, out of state, & would call him in 20 Min" So… We Wait. And… We Wait… I had Already Turned in the Room Keys (at 10:50) so we had no choice but to wait by the pool (With the Managers Wife and Son FYI) Well… He comes out for his 15th cigarette and EVERY TIME Ask if "She's called back? " FINALLY He says "Yeah, & I refunded the Money" I said "Ok. I know you said you could move us if we wanted to stay, I'll check w/ Joe and see what he wants to do? " He said "yeah ok. We have plenty of rooms. I said "Ok… I'll ask him. " When I returned 15 min later I walked in and said "Nevermind. He made other arrangements, he was too upset about everything that happened. " The guy said "You're not even in the system so don't worry about it? " And that was that… Or so I thought! The Other Guy (the 'supposed' Manager), Took it upon HIMSELF to RE-Book us in another room and RE-Charge the Card, WITHOUT Authorization OR Consent! $140.60 I am NOT letting this go…! The Owner Mrs.

We stayed there ONE night and EVERYTHING went wrong! Our microwave wouldn't stop when it was supposed to so our food exploded, the ac stopped in the middle of the night so it was like 100 degrees in there, and to top it all off the fridge broke in the middle of the night spoiling all of our food! BUT it's what happened the next day that really pissed me off! They were asking if we wanted to stay another night, in a different room. We said we probably wouldn't because we were just going to stay in another hotel, the desk man took it upon himself to charge us for another night even though we said we wouldn't! and then after we hot that refunded a couple days later they charged us for a cancellation fee! we never booked the room, he took it upon himself to book ot after we said not to! and the manager said she was gonna trust her own employees (he lied outa his ass saying we told him to book a room) and she told us if we had a problem take her to court! ##! never stay here please.

I was there visting a friend who was in town. The rooms are very nice and the staff are very nice. I wouldnt mind staying here if I ever needed to.

Rooms were clean, coffee was pretty good, and convenient to Lake Lanier.

Horrible customer service, didn't honor veterans, government or military. Prejudice. Rooms need to be updated. Smell old. Independent owned so does not reflect Hampton/Hilton standards. Don't deserve any stars.

Alright food. Had some cool weight machines.

Clean, people were nice and polite. Can't really ask for more when away from home.

I checked in at 7:52 pm went to my room and found there was no water pressure in the bathroom sink. Additionally, there were cigarette burns on the bathroom counter and overall the room was substandard compared to the majority of Hilton properties I have stayed at. I checked out of the room approximately 12 minutes after checking in and was told I would have to pay for the night. Hilton properties have a 100% guarantee and I reminded the young lady behind the counter of this. She still required I pay for the room and told me I could check with the manager the next day.

The room and facilities were clean. A note was left in the rooming specifying that the entire bed, including the spread, were washed for every visitor. That was encouraging. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast: waffles, biscuits, juice, yogurt, fruit, coffee, pastries, etc, all were fresh. The staff were all pleasant.

The location was very local and was close to restaurants and grocery shopping! The rooms were great, and the room service was superb. It could have been a little bit wider beds because they were very small to sleep two people in. Overall a great experience.

Air in room not working property, set on 60 and still sweating. Room was supposed to have 2 queen beds, has 2 regular double beds. Hallways small. Room cramped. Internet slow as Christmas. Doubt will stay here again.

Looks old but clean,, compare with the price, it is not so preiswert.

We was in town for a softball tourney and they jacked the price up 100%. We had to pay $200 a night for a single king bed. They took full advantage of the event and gouged everybody that was in town. I have never paid that much for a 5 star hotel in Atlanta. It's one thing to turn a profit, but at 100% is absurd and just wrong, especially for traveling parents who already pay enough for a trip for their kids to play softball. They Wi-Fi was 4.95. I could not log on to any "free" Wi-Fi.

When is a 100% guarantee not 100%? When you book at Hampton Inn using airline miles. I stayed at this HI in May, 2014 and was put into a handicap room when I am not because it was full. No problem. The next morning I slipped and fell in a slippery shower — — no mat, no non-skid coating, nothing. In a handicap room. I reported to the manager on duty and came back that evening to a note saying that they couldn't refund my room because I had booked through a 3rd party. Then they tried to buy me off with some vending machine cookies and a $50 Shell gift card. When I got home I contacted Hilton Guess Services who sent the message back to the Gainesville HI. Then I received the following lame note: "I hope that you are having a great day and I hope that you are feeling better. We are sincerely sorry about your fall at our hotel location. We do have a sprayed liner in our tubs due to city regulations and they have been inspected and approved. I apologize that you did not accept our gift card and goodies bag as an apology, however, due to the fact that you booked with your airline miles, we cannot refund you. We are also not authorized to give free nights at other hotel locations. Again, I sincerely apologize and if you need to contact us, please feel free to do so at the contact information below. " I would suggest that whomever typed this take a long soapy shower in Room 103. I am now a Holiday Inn customer.

Everyone at this Hampton was more than accommodating even though my needs were a little outside the box. Excellent service.
