Great room and location! Friendly staff.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. My checkin experience was pleasant and smooth. Self parking was easy. The staff are professional and pleasant. My 2 bedroom suite was sparkling clean and well equipped as an appartement which was great for a family stay. This property is very close to FSU and a number of historic buildings and great restaurants. I would definitely stay there again when I visit Tallahassee.

My walls and windows vibrated from the loud music coming from the bar across the street until 2am. It was so loud the TV wouldn’t drown it out. Local noise ordinance is 2am, so no remedy.

Messed up reservation but did excellent at guest recovery and upgrade. The location is terrible! Right near a loud club and sooooooo tired. It’s 12am. Only two more hours before it closes. I strongly recommend this place look into better quality windows for soundproofing. Very thin glass.

My whole experience was wonderful especially the happy hour for adults and the staff was wonderful really nice.

Great place to stay. They have everything you could need. The rooms are clean. Everything looks brand new. The rooms are stocked with whatever you need for an extended stay (cutlery, dishes, pots, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher). Breakfast is great, with a wide variety of options. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Finally, as an added bonus every evening there is free beer and wine with an appetizer! We had curry chicken and falafel with taziki sauce. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only drawback was that you have to pay for parking. Great hotel all around. 5 stars.

Excellent hotel! We stayed for a weekend getaway. Great location, VERY clean, awesome staff, comfy bed, yummy breakfast, we felt very pampered… it was perfect! Cant wait to stay here again!

We stayed here two nights ago and it was great! The rooms were clean and welcoming and the breakfast the next morning had plenty of choices. The staff wasn’t very friendly or welcoming at check in/out but I wouldn’t let that sway you. We will definitely be back.

Had reservations almost a year in advance for our sons graduation. Loved how close we were to the venue but was totally disappointed with the room. Be aware of the bar across the street blaring thumping music till 2 am. The hotel was aware and moved us to a different room but I was still disappointed with the fact that they knew of the problem but placed us in this room anyway. The front desk has the bar on speed dial. We were compt the night but it was just frustrating since we booked so far in advance.

Very nice! Truly exceptional staff. The rooms here were really nice and clean. This place is family oriented and its conveniently located close to plenty of things to do with the kids. I would recommend this motel and we will be returning in the future.

Nice hotel. Great food and free drinks early in the week. Staff very nice and helpful. They have a shuttle and will pick you up from the airport and give rides around town.

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff… but HUGE party nightspot across the street. I had to ask for a new room after midnight because of the heavy booming base music. So… if you stay here, ask for a room on an upper floor on the back side or north wing of the hotel. The loud partying wasn't their fault, but just know what to ask for if you go.

Great hotel very beautiful and updated. They have an amazing breakfast with lots of yummy choices to choose from for every dietary need. Its location is walking distance to lots of places to eat, visit and do.

The room was very nice and clean, the carpets were being shampooed my first day there. The bathroom and kitchen area were both well maintained with no obvious issues. The social mixers on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were excellent with delicious food and a great selection of beers. The area around the hotel had a great mix of food and drink options and it was very convenient to the airport.

Great place to stay overall, no complaints about the hotel service, the suites are clean and well maintained. Great Breakfast and Afternoon Mixers. Friendly Staff. The only downfall is it's close to the road and bars with loud bands during the week so it was hard to rest.

Gorgeous hotel with great amenities. This place is comfortable, very clean, and has great service. Beyond breakfast in the morning, the hotel supports local restaurants by showcasing their food weekly in the lobby along with soda, water, beers, and wine. The hotel is within walking distance of great shops and restaurants… and the FSU campus.

Our recent stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Tallahassee University was a complete pleasure! The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the room totally exceeded our expectations! We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone visiting FSU.

This is a beautiful hotel with an inviting and comfortable lobby and foyer area. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by staff who were very friendly and helpful. The general area of the hotel seemed a bit out of place but the facility itself was pleasant. Security was above standard with key card readers at every door and even to go up the elevator after hours. My room was well organized and laid out in an inviting and pleasant way. The room did not smell great, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It didn't stink, but it was a bit of a stale smell. Overall, pleasant stay with nice amenities.

This hotel is amazing, the breakfast was great, the rooms are perfect and the staff goes above and beyond. In town for a funeral and Mike at the front desk was very comforting, understanding, and went out of his way to help us.

Stayed overnight while traveling. Friendly staff, clean rooms, appetizers with wine, beer and sodas was delicious. Only complaint is the sleeper sofa has a chincy, springy mattress. Only dated part of the rooms are the rough, dated wall and ceiling textures. Popcorn ceiling makes it FEEL like it's not updated.

One of the cleaner hotels we have stayed at but we had some problems that were somewhat inexcusable. First we found a LIVE roach in our microwave. Management said they spray monthly and they offered to take care of our bill for the evening. I'm still confused about why it was there because the place seemed very clean. Second, when we pulled dishs out of the cupboard they were extremely dirty and still had lots of food on them. Quite simply, they had never been washed. We asked the front desk for liquid dish soap but they said they didn't have any. However, they told us to use some of the powdered dish machine soap to hand wash the dishes. Not really an acceptable solution. Breakfast was very good both mornings we were there, and the staff was extremely helpful if you needed to substitute and item because of allergies or gluten free needs. Overall, I wish we didn't have the problems we had, however, the hotel did a pretty good job handling some of the problems.

Rooms are clean and the staff is very nice. They had a wine and beer happy hour one evening complimentary to guests. The beer was great!

The main reason I chose this hotel is because they accept pets, this time I travelled with my rabbit and there was no problem with it. Pros: The room has a very well stocked kitchen (refrigerator, burners, microwave, crockery), in this hotel you are particularly greeted with two bottles of water in the room. The breakfast is the typical one in all the Residence Inn and I like it. The mattress was not firm, that did not please me so much. The staff was very friendly.

We did a mobile check in. Arrived at hotel around 8:30 and was given keys. Got up to the room and keys did not work. Somehow room was given to someone else. Staff apologized and quickly gave us another room. Went back upstairs and new room was handicap accessible. We did NOT ask for an accessible room. Called down and advised the front desk of yet another minor check in error. ~~Overall, the stay was okay. Breakfast was hot. Coffee was good. Rooms were clean.

We are from Southwest Florida and checked in for Hurricane Irma. Incredibly helpful and reassuring staff and a very nice property also. If I ever find myself in Tallahassee again this is the place I will stay.

A bit drab, the rooms are irritatingly inefficient in their design. Maintenance is very haphazard and half-done. Food is on the low end of the usual spectrum. Staff, however, is friendly, helpful, and pleasant.

I called the morning of my stay to see if I could get my room before 4.00… which seems late for ck. In and I needed it sooner. I was told. No problem… when I got to hotel… I said I would like a quiet room… they said I could have a room ready and early if I want a street side… I asked what that meant and the desk clerk said. You know syreet noise… so. I said. Well it would die down by time I went to sleep… she did not tell me a bar and very LOUD band was also on the street side. I felt I was NOT told the whole story and was given a room they would not have given me otherwise. Maybe getting into your room a little early is putting you across from a loud bar is punishment for the request… rooms they can't normally get away with giving people. Won't stay here again because they were NOT truthful about syreet side.

I honestly love the hotel. I was served really well and enjoyed the free breakfast. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Spent four nights here and had a very comfortable time. Happy hour was great Monday through Wednesday. Staff was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a pesky train that comes through in the early morning but I usually slept through it. Will definitely stay again. We traveled all through the south and stayed at 8 different hotels along the way. This was our second favorite. As a family of 4 with two teens, it's nice to spread out a bit and have the kitchen if we had chosen to eat in. We did laundry while there and the laundry area was clean and had plenty of washers available. Really loved the complimentary morning breakfast and evening happy hour. Where can you get a free local craft beer these days? We liked the close proximity to FSU and A&M. Overall a great stay! Staff was very very nice. Brandon, who does a variety of things at the hotel, also drives the shuttle bus. He dropped us off at the restaurant we were having dinner at. It was only 1.2 miles away, but our feet were killing us from walking FSU all day, so we really appreciated the ride! Both Brandon, and Isiah, who was working the front desk Friday night, have very good attitudes. I believe the hotel was at 100% occupancy Friday night, so I was surprised Brandon didn't have any help checking in guests at the front desk, but he handled it like a champ! Bed slept comfortably & the room was clean. Wish the bath towels could have been a little softer or fluffier. They felt like sand paper.

Our two room suite was nice, had plenty of dishware, a full fridge, and comfortable beds including an extra fold-out bed. Located across the street from a whiskey bar and brewery that were not crowded with FSU students like in the places closer to campus. The pool, spa, and breakfast buffet were also nice. Be aware that there is a $10/day charge for a parking permit, and only one car permitted even for the two room suites.

The rooms are very clean and spacious. Pets are allowed. Best of all, it is walking distance to FSU campus. This was our favorite place to stay during our daughters college years. The staff is wonderful and Keith the manager was very helpful to us with regard to reservation issues. You can also walk to restaurants and railroad station shops. Highly recommend this hotel!

We came for the weekend for a wedding in Tallahassee. The room was very nice. Handicap accessible bathroom and kitchen. Although the living area was a little tight for the walker or a wheelchair. Best part of stay was Kaysena, front desk worker and also driver of the shuttle. Kaysena was just wonderful. She was informative, helpful, and just an allround pleasure to talk with. We left an item in the room and did not realize it until we arrived home. Kaysena found it for us after we were told by another front desk person that it was not in the room. She is mailing it back to us. 5 stars for her!

Nearly new hotel located in the heart of Tallahassee convenient to the Capitol and both universities. Great staff as well!

We arrived at 5pm and our room was not ready. The acting manager, Ernest, confirmed that check-in was at 4pm and that the room should have been ready then. He apologized and said that it wouldn't be more than 30 minutes and told us we could wait in the lobby. We sat down and waited. By 6pm, the room was still not ready, and at no time did the acting manager show any urgency, let alone initiative. We were five feet from him, 30 minutes past the wait time provided, 2 hours past check-in, yet he did not apologize about the wait or reassure us in anyway. We had to approach him again but the excessive wait, to which he explained that they were working on it now. He asked if it would be ready shortly and he could not provide us with an estimated time and asked us to be patient. At no time did Ernest show any sense of urgency or express any sense of urgency to any of the other employees. He could not offer us another room because there were no other wheelchair accessible rooms of that size available. After being extremely inconvenienced, we had no choice but to go to another hotel. We do not appreciate the inconvenience in the slightest. A check-in of 4pm should give them more than enough time to prepare the room in between customers. The hour that we waited was more than enough time to prepare the room. If the 30 minute wait time provided to us wasn't enough time, they should have approached us, we should not have had to approach them.

Everything was amazing and beyond expectations. The size and value of the room was perfect! The breakfast was amazing and I am looking forward to my next business trip.

Located within 15 minutes walking to state capital building. Rooms are very clean. Despite refrigerator was not working till I had to fix the thermostat that someone broke. Light switches were a little confusing with the way they worked. Music was way too loud at 10pm getting off of elevator going into lobby sounded like I was in a club. Breakfasts was exelant the staff was great. Would stay there again.

I recently made an online error and booked the wrong date for a trip up to Tallahassee for my daughter's graduation in December. When I contacted Eric at the Marriott on Gaines Street, Tallahassee, he was so kind and understanding. He fixed my problem and was courteous and professional. I am now a Marriott customer for life!
